To be sure, it could be difficult for remote towns to find assistance from qualified ninja. They would tend to prefer that legitimate village ninja be used, of course, or failing the availability of those, mercenaries--but beggars can't be choosers. Thus most remote towns and villages had little issue hiring Missing nin if they needed someone competent to handle a problem.
Of course, there were problems with that too, but often there wasn't any choice. And after all, surely if someone could have made it that far from their home, they could manage simple problems that villagers couldn't. Couldn't they?
Probably. It sounded like a safe bet to a common layperson, anyway.
The request for assistance would come via an on-foot messenger, seeking out anyone who could potentially help. The messenger would only be able to give vague details to Gagoze and Akumi--namely, that he had been sent to find someone who could help them hunt down...something. The messenger was a barely-fourteen boy, and not really all too clear on the details. He was, however, very clear on the location of his village. It was of a distance that if the pair wanted, they would be able to reach it early in the morning.
Of course, they didn't have to get there right away. But when they did, they would find it a small town, nestled in a valley, surrounded on all sides but the way the messenger had told them to go by a thick forest. There wasn't anything particularly nefarious or ominous about the forest--not unless you didn't like trees--but there was a clear path.
The messenger had unfortunately been a bit vague on where to go in the town, too, but there were only so many of the wood-shack buildings, most of them residences. And plenty of people out working who looked curious and friendly at the sight of villagers.
Welcome to Mint Valley, travelers.

- So I'm pretty loose on posting times; we'll set it at 72 hrs a round and if that needs loosening or tightening we'll see.
- Since this is an A-Rank, the chance of failure is definitely non-zero, but from the sounds of it you prefer it that way.
- I do roll d20s for luck-based outcomes on all B+ missions. I can show the rolls when this occurs if you'd prefer.
