Sora yawned, still caught in the in between of sleeping and waking up, as he wandered around the grounds of the academy. it was a prestigious building, with a well kept landscape in the front, making it look like it had an air of grandeur to it. The lawn was a vibrant and healthy shade of green, the gravel paths were racked, probably daily, and every flower bush, although without buds due to the season, was shapely and well kept. All in all, a picture perfect version of any and every learning establishment. It was actually kind of boring, the longer Sora looked at it. But as he walked around the edge of the campus, passed a small pond with a miniature waterfall trickling of it, passing a small grove of trees that seemed to make a natural barricade between the front of the school's grounds and the back, Sora found himself standing before a scarred and trampled landscape. Training dummies, targets for kunai, both moving and stationary, and even a small sparring ring for the older students.
Sora loved how the back of the school looked nothing like the front when it came to order and cleanliness, order, or downright maintenance, but the organization was still present, and that was oddly refreshing. He could see a few kids practicing throwing a myriad of weapons at targets, as well as a few far of practicing various styles of Ninjutsu in a large enclosure. He could smell the stink of sweat and dust mingled in the air with a hint of smoke, and the charged metallic stink of electrical currents. All of his senses were reacting, and he was excited to finally get to go here. He was so close to getting out into the world, he had just one more obstacle; his mother. Sora sighed heavily, and then continued to wander the edges of the grounds, watching the students and teachers alike, basking in their skills, observing every movement, and trying to see if he could learn anything from someone other than family before coming to the academy officially.
