Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

After his fight with Kiri, Shouyu woke up about 16 hours later, eyes opening slowly. Be blinked then fully open and realized he was in bed, but not his room, and his right leg was elevated, casted, along with both his arms. His head was slowly shifting right to left, pale hues widening. His whole body felt like nothing and there was many machines injecting some fluid into him.

A nurse walked by and yelped having seen the boy finally awoke. She smiled lightly and made her way to Shouyu with a clipboard. She began to debrief what happened to him.

Nurse:"So, you're diagnosis is... Fractured ankle, a broken leg, a sprained wrist... Several cut wounds, bruising, and blunt trauma. Honestly, it's quite amazing you survived. Expect for the next month or so to be in a wheel chair for safe measure. If ever you feel the strength that you can stand and walk, I would recommend you take it slowly and work yourself back into shape. In just a moment we will have your wheel chair ready, you're already on the road to a healthy recovery, from here on it's just patience."

Shouyu sighed at the nurses words and pouts, feeling sorry for himself. But at least he wasn't dead, he recalled that eerie night, looking away from the nurse with a rather serious face that looked bland and depressed too. He exhaled once more. Shouyu turned to the nurse and nodded, then rubbed his head into the pillow getting comfortable, he was going to try and sleep once more, hopefully that would kill time.

Nurse:"Oh and also, the only cast you will need is for your legs until you feel the strength return and we can remove the cast for you. So don't worry okay?"

The nurse gave a large smile, tapped her clipboard while giving a quick spin and walking out leaving Shouyu to himself.

Not much in the enjoyment department was happening on the young girls end. Her mission had been given to her at the start of her trip, though the new ranking didn't really provide much in the trust department for Kumogakure. No matter where you went, age was always a sign to people of capability. Her job was to go about Kumogakure, show off her healing skills, learn from the medical professionals here, and pass on some knowledge as well. So far, bupkis, she wasn't allowed any real hands on fun. So basically Sara decided to just wonder the halls of the hospital for the time being, 'maybe some fortunate tragedy or a catastrophe might happen and they would finally change there minds...' Of course she didn't wish for such but still..

She heard a voice coming from around the bend from a doorway where a nurse rushed in and the girl in white peaked into the doorway. She looked at the figure and after a second, realized the familiar face to her surprise. The nurse finished and headed out of the room, "Holy...talk about a catastrophe. What in the gods names happened to you..." She walked towards the bed, examining his body closely. "Looks bad..." She picked up the chart and looked it over, flipping the pages quickly, "Legs in bad shape, walking is out. Arm..not so bad. Minor cuts and bruising, easy fixes." She continued reading, "So, what happened? Get in a tussle with someone?" Wrist looked like defensive wound, cuts and battering. The leg though, that was overkill.

His eyes were closed and he was just about to fall into a slumber when he heard someone else's voice. It seemed familiar from the jump, but it took him to open his eyes and see the girl to know. It was Sara from the Escort mission. Oh, how embarrassing it was to have her show up and see him like this. All casted up and elevated and bed ridden. He sighed in response.

"I just fell okay?!"

She came closer, clearly examining the boy and then going to the clip board. She read the diagnostic aloud again, reminding the boy of his horrid condition. Then Sara suspected a fight, Shouyu turned away, puffing his bottom lip. Clearly that was the case but he wouldn't admit his defeat so easily.

"Yeah yeah, I beat someone down, I had to. To protect my village, I just fell afterwards!"

He spoke with his face turned away and nose up as if his proud of his white lie. When he finished, he would peel at Sara from the corner of his eye, half closed to see if she would even believe the story a bit.

"Well, I hope you gave'em a woopin. Good thing you stopped the person! If they were willing to do this to someone so young, I can't imagine what they would have done to anyone whom wasn't a ninja." Sara put the paperwork back where she found it and walked to his side, an obvious look of worry for the young lad. "I can imagine if you came out this way, anyone would be tired after such an ordeal. I mean, when I almost got eaten by this monster I fought a few years ago, I was way out of it afterwards. And I was barely injured by the fight." She examined his body, her twinkling eyes, a glow figuring out if there were any other injuries that couldn't be seen.

"I had no idea the streets were so dangerous. Hmmm." The last lines of the notes, 'One month of non-duty., bothered her slightly. Perhaps Kumogakure had problems of it's own to deal with. It might make this, partnership prosper if I suggested something to the Kage about helping with policing. The young girl had weighed the options, and coupled with boredom, she decided to add some unneeded fun to her life. 'It might be a breach of trust, but...it is my mission after all.'"What the hell right?" , she said to herself, not caring that Hoshi wasn't a mind reader. She got a slightly evil grin on her face as she said it.

"We should really get you back out there then huh. Tell you what," She looked at him with a serious face now, still a slight hing of malcontent in her smile, but not a hint of worry for his well being could be felt anylonger, "I can shorten the required healing time. Either in half, or to a few days if you want. Though...they do say healing naturally is safer, and supposedly makes one stronger. Bone growth and such..hmm." She thought for a moment. "Well, I can fully heal you so you can move around freely within 2 days, though...there are some, unlikely mind you, side effects that could occur. Decreased bone density, rashes, stunted growth. Or I can decrease it to a week, though I suggest you stay in bed the entire time. Could easily re injure yourself while healing. Though you will be able to walk in two days, suggest you don't..." She looked him up and down, also checking what was behind her at the same time without moving. It was a subconscious thing still, moving her head. "Sooooo, Ya! What do you say?"

He cringed at Sara's words, quickly he gave a screw face grin to make his story more believable. His eyes grew wide at the words of almost being eaten by a monster. He realized, he and Sara didn't have much differences besides an allegiance to a village. He looked down, with a blank face and back to her.

"Kumo is to protect. I can't protect anything in here... I'm just tired of being here, but the nurse says rest will be the best thing. We have all these med ninja why can't they heal me?!"

He tried to flail, clinging and clanking could be heard from him wiggling in the bed and little waves of his lifted and casted limbs, low grunts. He couldn't do anything in this state except struggle like a young magikarp out of water. He sighed and looked away, Sara seemed concerned about Kumo's safety and was quiet, maybe thinking to herself, he took the chance to respond.

"Yeah! It can get pretty nasty out there! That's why I gotta be out there! Training! Not, Nya, nyuuu, not in here!"

He tried to struggle once more, but to no avail and easily gave in. Then Sara spoke again, this time causing Shouyu to look at her with a brow high on his forehead confused.'Wuuhh?"

She continued to give a spiel of how she could heal him and it dawned on him. 'Oh yeah duh! She's the Leaf Medical Sennin!' Her speech was rather detailed and Shouyu furrowed his brows together in deep thought, really considering his options. He could really get out of her if he wanted but from Sara explained... He sighed, making his decision.

"I must thank you, that was rather informative but... After hearing that, I believe rest will be my best bet. I need to be at my 100% to show everyone my new moves! But hey Sara! I had a question!"

He cleared his throat, looked away and returned his gaze at Sara.

"I hear, fire country is the homelands to the Hyuuga bloodline... Is this... True?"

"But.....You just..." Sara was confused now. He asked why the doctors couldn't heal him to get him out sooner and now he turned down both of the options she gave him. "You sure? I mean, at least the second option is just as safe as waiting a full month. You..." 'He doesn't trust me...That must be it.' A disappointed and confused look was on her face now, almost bordering anger. She huffed for a moment then shook her head.

He asked her a question, still in her moment of growing disappointment and she missed part his first words in her moment of trying to calm down. "What?...Hiuuga?" She tried to think for a moment at that question. A quickness to her words laced with anger could be sussed out, though as she spoke, she calmed some, "I..don't recollect hearing much about that bloodline since I have been in leaf." She tried to think deeper, confused by the rather odd question and change of subject. " Actually, ya I have heard of that clan. Though, I don't think they exist anymore in Leaf, not since the old Fire Daimyo had gone to war expelling all shinobi from the Fire Country 10 or so years ago." She tried to remember what she read about them. "The all seeing clan with white eyes, and taijutsu skills equatable to none." She looked at him, seeing his white eyes, then thinking, "Are you skilled in taijutsu?"

Sara's final suggestion made him ponder. He wanted to heed her advice, and yes it was true, a month in here would probably drive the kid insane. He looked at his feet, away from Sara and thought before answering.

"Well then... If you are sure about it, then I will gladly accept, it's just..."

After asking her about the Hyuuga in fire country she seemed a bit distraught. Maybe it was something Hoshi said. And she answered again, explaining that there hasn't been much sight of hyuugas in that region due to the war. Shouyu sighed hearing this.

Some joy returned to him as she remembered a little about them. She asked a question about him and he smirked. Although, the back of his mind was flooded with thoughts. He was 9, a war broke out ten years back and separated the hyuugas, could that have been why he ended up in lightning country? He shook his head and answered her.

"Well... If I was really that exceptional, maybe I wouldn't be here now. But, I would I assume I am more proficient than others."

"Good! Great! Glad to hear that!" She clapped her hands together, rubbing them. Some mild amount of odd coloring could be seen coming off of them as she rubbed, turning the air around it blackish blue to green as she headed for the door. "'Click'....First, we will start simple. Jump start your body to heal itself. Though, my jutsu will have it act slowly over a long period of time. Lets avoid those life shortening complications!" The young girl weaved some handseals and now two more of her stood about him. "Basic prep for regeneration healing." That was putting it nicely. She was actually putting in a secondary safety net, just in case things didn't go right at some point. She spoke to the clones and they pulled out some pens and started writing small sigils around the room. "This will take a moment.."

Then he asked the oddest question. It was about a bloodline clan in Konoha. She told him what she knew, and proceeded to allude to him belonging to such. "`I...um...Was that a joke? Sorry, not sure if I should laugh or feel for you. You..you did catch them right? If you want to, I can help you with them some. I mean..I am not the greatest fighter I think, but..I am quite capable." She motioned to the clones as they now left a central location with a large circle emblem and were working outwards. "Well...anyways. I can tell you I certainly haven't seen someone with eyes as..Well, actually." She thought for a moment, "Nope, not really." She had just remembered something Kaji had told her during her first ANBU class she took at that moment. He said she was a Hyuuga. She had always meant to look more into them but only brushed the surface. Though she did remember one important detail. About them and uchiha, and that was the black market trade of their eyes. She didn't know Hoshi that well, and if he ever let spill something.. "Well since you did ask about them, what is your interest in the Hyuuga?"

The thought ate at her as her clones finished up the sigils within the room then made there way for him. The Saras grabbed his gurney and wheeled it over to the top of the central emblem and after it was in place, looked to her. "Well, lets begin." They started to do handseals in unison. She stood there for a moment waiting. They would finish and the seals would start to glow, seeming to waft as if no long written. Sara would begin then to weave seals different from them, it was a rather long chain, close to 20 seals. The sigils on the ground would started to close in on him, almost like they were going to attack him. Was this a genjutsu? Would he know the difference? The clones finished and then started a new set of handseals.

The sigels wrapped around the boy, almost as if constricting him, though he might feel a sense of pull, there was none. As she finished, she placed her hands on him and released a wave of chakra within. The seals struck at the spot where her hand touched and almost appeared to have been swallowed up by her hand. Upon removing it, they were gone, and a red mark was left on him with the imprint of her hand. "Sorry about that, it will vanish in a day or two." She slid her hand on his blanket leaving behind a black burnt streak and the smell of burning cloth. No pain from her touch would have been felt though, at least not yet.

Again they finished the second set of seals and Sara stood back. "Give them just a second and they will finish. They are mostly helping with healing your surface wounds now. A very basic healing jutsu really." She walked to the chair and sat down, breathing for a moment and examining him once more from a distance. Watching her chakra combine with his own to begin the effects.

Shouyu was suddenly surrounded by clones of Sara. She rubbed her hands and a visible luminescent light coated her hands. Shouyu inhaled deeply, he would try to prepare his body to be still and relaxed. Her clones began to do something else, while Shouyu just closed his eyes and focused on Sara’s words and his breathing.

Shouyu only sighed at her first question, he literally had no clue what happened after he passed out, he just woke up here. Sarah offered some help but Shouyu would slowly wiggle his head saying, “No, it’s fine. I’m sure the situation is taken care of now.” He continued to focus on breathing. That’s when Sara gave him an answer he was distraught to hear. He had already deemed it unfortunate that a civil war in leaf disbanded the Hyuuga clan of fire country and her next words were no different. It seemed like the boy would never find a solid lead on his parents.

He sighed, slightly opened his eyes and looked around. The clones seemed to be inscribing something, but whatever they were doing, it was the first time he had seen it. They began to wheel to a specific position. “I have been looking for more information on my ancestors. But there is little info to be found in the village. I figured… One day I could travel to the fire country and meet my distant relatives. I’ve only met one other Hyuuga here in this village. It’s difficult for me… I’ve been trying to learn ancient clan trademark techniques with little to no information, and without a teacher. I’ve just been guiding myself all along, with books and whatever comes naturally.”

Shouyu stopped, feeling a tug but not really upon himself. Some symbols were wrapping themselves around his body constricting him. He looked around, almost frantic at all the clones. Though, on the outside remained calm, he could feel a strange tingling throughout his body. Then, he felt Sara’s palm touch him and upon contact a wave of new compressing energy. He tried to remain still, and not complain but he couldn’t explain what he was currently feeling. Sara had backed away, taking a seat in a chair. But Shouyu looked around, and her clones were still at work, and so the boy cloes his eyes once more. Shouyu nodded at her words, without saying a word himself, and continued his meditation until the process was complete.

Sara thought about his words, mauling them over as the clones treated his external cuts and bruises. Well, his words and if she should go a step beyond and attempt a new jutsu she learned not long ago that could also be used for healing, though that thought was slowly fading. He came out and stated he was of this Hyuuga clan, something she hadn't thought about in a while. Him wanting to search for ancestors, and to learn more about what he was capable of. Even she had, and still was going through that idea of finding her reaches within what she was capable of, though she never did think about family. She had a family, one she loved and loved her in return. Though he did bring about an interesting point. One that was deep in the recesses of her mind, slowly clawing it's way through. The thought of her past.

"I...I could." She just still wasn't sure, not completely. He did have all the showing of one with an eye technique, and a rather extensive and evenly distributed chakra system. Though he could have just been leading her into a trap? Though the idea was trying to break free. She pushed off the back of the chair with her shoulders and sat forward, a look of deep thought present on her face, one of a growing awareness and a need to find an answer. "Wha...what about your family? Aren't they, you know... shinobi. Erm rather Hyuuga like you? Your father? Mother? Siblings?" Every word bringing about the obviousness of her own words towards herself. She was a medical student. She wasn't stupid when it came to genetics and the such. If..IF she was truly of this, Hyuuga clan. She wouldn't have gotten it from her father or mother. So where did it come about?

Sara continued to question him from a distance. He was immobile anyway, so it truly didn't matter to him. Yet, here clones were still at work, immediately he could feel relief in his body. Not only that, it seemed his energy was having major fluctuations. He would feel energized, and then a need to rest. He figured this was his body jump starting itself after being in shock for so long.

Sara's questions made the boy quiet. Some rather, personal inquiries. The sheer thought of his parents wanted to make the boy cry, although outwardly he would not blatantly express this to Sara. He would exhale a soft depressed sigh. He spoke of what he could remember.

"Yes... My dad possessed the same eyes as myself, but Mother did not. Father always said, I had more family in the fire country, yet, he chose to leave and stay with Mother and I eventually. Mom said she came from here, in lightning country. They met while my Dad was traveling but he belittled and outcast by the Hyuuga Clan, for making a me, a half breed. Both of my parents are gone now... I just wish to find out if..."

He stumbled over a few words during his speech, and choked up at the end. Again his lack of ability to protect put him in a position to where he was unable to do nothing, but rest, or to wait, train harder. He wondered if he would ever acquire the strength and courage, to truly protect. If only, the boy could have protected what he loved so much back then, could he even do it now? The thoughts ransacked his young mental, tormenting him with audio and visual memories of the past. His eyes came to water and he blinked them dry. He chose not to continue his sentence, and just stared up at the ceiling.

The boy grew sad as he spoke, but Sara was paying more attention to his words, dwelling on the idea of why Kaji would say she was of the Hyuuga, with the Byakugan. Her mother and father, as far as she was sure of, had no lineage connected to the clan, let alone to shinobi. This boy's father was of the clan, and the young girl assumed a shinobi as well, so it made sense why he would believe he was of the clan. "Why do...what, am I missing?", she said under breath. She so far only had one real clue to the idea of her being connected to this, bloodline. And that was Kaji, the only one to ever bring the idea forward. She needed to question him at some point..along with learn of the all the skills associated with it too.

Sara looked up, now seeing the boy tear up slightly then stair at the ceiling. She looked shocked for a moment, a blank look on her face turning to confusion, then to worry. 'Shit, did I...dammit I wasn't, ahh man. What should I say? I...um', "I ah didn't mean to... Sorr... Uh're uh." She thought for a moment, then it popped in her head, "I am sorry to hear of such, sometimes,,sometimes.." 'It wouldn't be of great condolences to say it wasn't rare for those of shinobi families.' She thought back to that monster in Kirigakure, the giant creature that destroyed Iwagakure, the figure cast in white light or the white fox in the Fire Country. "What would I want? Power?' "I...well." She took a deep breath trying to focus herself. "I want to stop the evils and injustices that happen. One day I will be strong. No. Capable! Capable enough to do such. Perhaps not quite yet, but soon I feel I will be. One day. One day I will be able to deal with such. Though, going it alone might not be the best solution."

She had never seen anyone deal with such alone. She looked towards the boy with an endearing look, ["If you want, I will help you in any manner I can. She sat back in the chair, now, yet again, mauling over the very thought of if she should mention her possibility of being connected to this clan. There were still plenty of questions she now needed to have answered, and only one real person she had access today that might be able to help. "Could you tell me more of what the clan, of what you are capable of? Maybe I know more then I think?" 'Their were some things he could help teach me of about the clan.'

Again she took a deep sighing breath. As the clones gave a signal to her and she waved them away.

Shouyu could already feel his body easing up, he was actually growing tired. Maybe it was an effect of the healing process, his energy seemed very spread out and light. His eyelids were becoming heavy but he fought this off eventually. It seemed that what he said caused Sara to stumble on her words, he chuckled in response.

She then began to express her resolve, Shouyu looked in her direction. She explained herself thoroughly and he felt exactly what she did, he'd give out a weak nod. No, he was really getting sleepy now, this wasn't just in his head. He blinked sleepily.

She offered he assistance, he was slow to react with a wave, and a thumbs up. His body felt weak, maybe this was result of the doctors medicine against his hyperactivity. Sara sparked her last question, about the hyuuga's abilities. If Sara noticed Shouyu's now minimal speech, she'd realize he was growing faint and tired. But he would still squeeze out some last words.

"Heh... Sara... You are from... my homeland... and you don't know??"

The kid coughed, blinked sleepily, revelead his eyes to the girl once more.

"The all seeing eye... My Father always told me... *yawns*... Our visual prowess is one of a kind... It helps... Our gentle fist of the Jyuuken..."

He would yawn once more, his eyes watering from the result.

The boy was slowly getting out of it, as Sara's chakra and his mixed. It would seem his wear were worse for his body. His response to her question wasn't of the greatest information, though it did reveal he was going to be okay in the end. No brain damage, and no mistakes on her end. Though the sleepyness wasn't an effect she caused. Well, at least she didn't think so. It was the first time she used the jutsu in the manner of such a slow healing process, though his body was in a slightly sped and overactive regenerative mode, maybe it was having adverse effects? It shouldn't have been making him tired. If anything, more likely hungry in the end.

'I just have to make sure he wasn't going to die, otherwise I will need to make an extremely quick getaway....oh and take care of that nurse too. I don't need an international incident on my hands. ' The wayward thought caused her to laugh, she made it jokingly to herself. The moment he was completely asleep she would take her leave. She was sure enough her jutsu wouldn't lead astray.

His last few words had been few, all seeing eyes and that of a fighting style special for the clan. It was the same thing she had already said about them. Though she would take it as confirmation that she was remembering right the information she read 4 years ago. She truly had hoped for more then this most certainly. "Tell you what. When you are up and around, and if I am still around, why don't you show me what the clan is good at. Either that or you can tell me if you ever make it to Konoha." She smiled, trying to keep him relaxed and thinking good thoughts. Though with that, she was growing a little bored watching his chakra system react to what she had done and his slurred thinking and speech. As soon as he fell asleep, she would slip out.

Shouyu may have felt the effects of the medicine now, and not only was growing sleepier by the second, there was an emptiness in his stomach. To him, it was already bad enough how portioned the hospital meals were, he was forever hungry in this hell hole. But, if it wasn't for Sara or the nurse's capabilities he may not be alive. These thoughts gave him peace, and took his mind off his rumbling stomach. He felt bad to have been getting sleepy on Sara mid conversation, but it couldn't be helped. Maybe the nurse slid him something in his tea earlier, because he was so fussy from day one. He blinked again and he heard something from Sara, he turned his head.

"Right, of... course. *yawns* Anything would be better... Than some boring talk with a cast right? *yawns*"

He didn't really know what he was saying, he was becoming delusional. Some moments after, and a few more sleepy blinks his eyes closed. His breathing become slow, almost faint. He was quietly falling asleep. His mind would have been racing with so many questions, all that would flee his mind the second it entered. He felt at peace, not so sore. Finally his mind drifted off into another dimension, where Hoshi was a famed samurai who wrote books, and traveled the lands as a rich man giving to the poor. It was a wonderful, weird and random dream. But his mental screenplay pleased him enough for the time of rest.

[Knocked out alseep.]
