Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was important to keep busy when you had the energy Utsumi Nanamiya always seemed to - after all, you could only get into so many scrapes ... and scolded, by Sota-kun and Miya-chan both ... sooo many times before you went to do something more productive. With your blood. She still fully expected to get bruised up a little, but this mission could never be as chaotic as her first one had happened to be: she had Sota with her that time, but would she have a partner for this crime, too?

She was rather merry on her way to the gate with her mission assignment. She had heard the medical branches had been struggling recently, not from any fault or weakness but a simple factor of the season (and oddly increased aggression) - and this was her chance to help! To make a name for herself! To check out a different branch, like this, on her ventures. It was important to know what you were getting into, and your options therein, and it appeared all of her interactions thus far had been solely within the Main Branch; she didn't think she had any desire to join Medical, and she knew practically nothing about the Anbu Black Ops, but she was certainly the type to try anything once.

It felt good, too. Just to get out there. She had been a little stir-crazy in recent classes, and she was still waiting to hear back on the weird wolf rink that had the tells of going on. She wasn't impatient -- yeah, she was. She really, really was. Idle hands make powerful punchers!

She was, as fate decided, not to be alone for this when she showed up to the gates. She didn't really need the company for help, but she rather enjoyed it for chatting. She was a natural type of butterfly ... in wolf's clothing, and pretty red dresses. She scampered between her feet in excitement as she bounded up to a face she recognized, beaming with brightening eyes awash with deep crimson. Kino-chan! She signed, giving him a double thumbs-up and the biggest grin her little face could muster until she'd drag out a sketchpad to further greet him.

Kino was dusting himself off at the time Utsumi had approached. He had been already on this task for a while now, and with the amount of refugees at the gate he'd be busy for a while he assumed. He looked her way and smiled with a wave as she approached, signing back to her.

~oh hey! Utsumi right? Nice to eat you~

Though most of it was fine, there was a little hiccup in the middle he didn't notice. The problem is he learned from other kids, meaning some people who would think something is funny may have influenced those lessons. But it was clear from his smile and wave that he was meaning see not eat, how those two signs were made were drastically different but here they were. He walked up and signed once more to her.

~So you ready to help some people today?~

He had a smile on his face, but his shirt had a mix of blood and dirt on it. While in some situations one might assume him to be overwhelmed by this at his age, he was standing proud for his actions. This is what Kino wanted to do, to help people, and now he was doing just that without any need for violence. This was his moment to shine and he was truly happy to share that glow with Utsumi. He'd be happy to have a friend at his side while he carried or guided folks to the medical facility here in the village. It certainly would help pass the time, maybe he could ask her about.. probably not.

E-etto? Eat?

Utsumi watched him for a quiet moment, the puzzle in her eyes only a flash before she wrestled the upturn of her lips back into a normal, joyous grin and made every effort to return his kindness. She wasn't going to make fun of him. She didn't want to make him feel bad. He was putting in honest work to communicate with her - that meant so, so much to the little girl in red, and she only wanted him to feel that appreciation. She smiled wide. Clapped her hands together, bouncing between two excited feet. That's really good, Kino-chan! Thank you! It's really good to eat you too. : ) Maybe, after this, we can meet up some time and -- was her signing getting too complicated? I'd love to teach you more. Of this! Ok?

The exhalation from her nose was obvious laughter, prancing closer and around him in something of a half-step dance and skip until ... well, they came to the people they were helping. It wasn't the most grisly scene adults had come across, but it was for someone Utsumi's age and experience. There wasn't much mortal wounded, but they were all beat up pretty bad, and it was their job to help them. Her eyes narrowed. A new light burned in the gentle crimson, her expression narrowing as she rolled back her shoulders.

Then, she'd look over to Kino, stretching out both of her arms to flex her muscles with her tongue stuck between her teeth in seething effort. I'm strong! Ok? I'll help! A lot! She was trying to keep her signing simple until she could get back to writing, and she took the opportunity to help someone onto a stretcher with a great show of - well, force, at least. It was harder to be powerful when you weren't just punching someone. She had to measure that with a firm, gentle grip ... she couldn't risk hurting the patients more!

When you're ready! Er. She needed another second.

He smiled and signed Sounds like a plan, come this way we can guide a few more groups in and then make a plan to meet up sometime when we can learn more, while it was clear he was trying his best, the reality was that he stumbled quite a bit when it came to signing anything longer than a few words. But it was also clear that he was making a genuine attempt to do so with her and seemed genuinely interested in learning more of the skill. He figured that if Utsumi was going to be around him more often, he definitely should take her up on the offer to learn, so he could actually get to know her a bit better. Though admittedly, he just didn't mind the fact that he could just talk to her and not have to worry about fumbling his words as he was known to do around anyone his age he'd consider pretty. It was far simpler, and he could focus on what it was he was trying to say.

As they approached the wall Kino would take point on conversation as many folks here did not know sign language. Of the many in the group they were about to escort, there were five children, three walking adults, and two that were being carried by mednin on stretchers. All of the people that were in the group were in various states of injury, with one of the one's on a stretcher being covered by a sheet to imply that they had passed on already. Kino waved them all closer before he began to speak.

"Alright my name is Kino, and this is Utsumi, we are going to be the escorts to the medical facility. Now, we know that there has been a lot that has happened so please... Do your best to stay close and follow us so we can get you seen as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please direct them to me or one of the mednin once we reach the medical facility."

He was taking charge in the situation, if not only because he felt it would calm some of the nerves of the people that had already been through so much. He knew that it wouldn't be that long of a mission mostly just this same route repeated until things got under control. Which was exactly what Utsumi and Kino would be doing for the next few hours, practically until the sun set. Once the village began to calm and those who were injured were all on their way into the medical facility, Kino would walk up and hold out a water bottle for Utsumi and sign Hey, good job today. You seemed to really be in your element

He was a peaceful sort. She had always thought of Tanatsu Kino as something of a sweetheart - someone kind, easy, inoffensive. Sota was ... well, he was Sota, and outside of adults, Utsumi hadn't interacted with any other boys around her age yet outside of these two. She really enjoyed her time with everyone, but it was kind of nice to just be around Kino. There wasn't a lot of pressure or concern, and he seemed honest. She fell into these thoughts as they moved to assist in their mission objective, musing to herself about general comforts. She would have to do right by him today, she decided. She was never going to "half-do" anything, but she wasn't going to let sweet little Kino bare this burden alone. She'd more than make up for her share! Double her share!!

She held an injured over both arm with awkward lilts of her elbows and desperate flexing of her shoulders, panting in exertion and furrowed brows on every step - but sometimes, the inability to speak came as a blessing. She wouldn't have been able to during this effort, anyway, and she also wasn't expected to be able to keep up with signing or writing while escorting their charges. If there was one thing Utsumi Nanamiya could do - really do - it was brute force something, and there was practically nothing that would make her buckle under that intent. Every step was a move up a mountain. Any steepness is disregarded in favor of a dreamer.

They made incredible time, between the two, and made it out of their task without much trouble to show for it - Utsumi was able to keep herself from accidentally wounding the, well, wounded, though she had taken on a lot of stress that shone on bright features and tight muscles. She was thankful to be the brawns for this endeavor, if anything. Kino was excellent at taking charge. He made her feel more assured, let alone the people they were working for, helping. He could handle all the leadership skills and sociality of it, and she'd do everything she could for everyone with a pure sort of focus.

She smiled back at him as she popped a bone in her back with a long stretch, unable to keep herself from wincing when the motion screamed back at her, and swiped untidy strands of black from her forehead to shake in silent laughter. Thanks, Kino-chan. You were incredible! You really know how to make people feel safe and taken care of. I'm glad they had you to help. I'm just here for the labor. B) \ w / The water hit her lips and she shivered, eagerly downing each gulp. Hhhaaaa!

Do you want to be Medical? You'd be really good at it! You have that kind of ... she had to think of how to get this one across, tamping her feet in thought. Aura?

Kino laughed pretty heavily at that, he was just surprised by the choice of wording and that it was such a genuinely nice thing to say he didn't know what else to do. He smiled and shook his head to her before signing once again. No no, I just like helping people. I do not think it's for me. not smart enough. I probably won't be doing anything special just patrols and stuff like that. He seemed un bothered by the concept of being stuck in one place though that felt surprising given his drive that she had seen at this point. He looked out at the people still making their way in to the center watching both them and the setting sun over the horizon.

This had been a nice change of pace for the boy, he was so used to violence but today he was able to just help those who needed him. The sun light danced off the patio space where the pair stood, casting and orange hue to their surroundings. This made for the world to seem so still and calm in this moment, it was surreal in fact how calm it all could be when the work was done. He looked over once more, It was great to work with you, I hope i can see you more often friend he smiled as he said this, knowing however this might be one of the last times the pair did work together if all things went how he expected. But the sentiment of the words was true, he did truly enjoy her company and he'd be happy to see her after this all.

I think you'll do something special. It was immediate - it wasn't so much a reflex as a natural reaction, the world and Utsumi behaving exactly as they were meant to. A gentle cycle within heart-dotted crimson and an unmarred face blemished only with a smile. You seem really special, Kino-chan. No matter what you decide to do, I think you'll do a great job, and I think you'll make a difference. She was flurrying, unable to contain herself as she went on from shuffling between her feet like a puppy excited at the door. She laughed to herself, soundless but breathy, clapping her hands together a few times after her statements to stimulate away the excitement she built. And if you just spend your time patrolling, that makes people like me and Miya-chan ~

a griiin. Feel much safer!! A toss of her arms wide, anticipating her own affection at the end yet not enough to avoid stumbling backwards and catching herself with a goofy flail and further, shoulder-shaking giggles. I know what I want to do. I want to help Konoha. I don't really know how, but I know I will. That's why I know you will, too, Kino-chan. Okay? It's important to believe that.

She sidled up closer, two-stepping around him with her hands behind her back without getting near enough to touch - as if she could envelop him in this aura of hopes and dreams, and it'd find his way to his heart within them. It sounds suuuuper lame, but you can really do anything if you believe you can. Wanna know why? She cocked her head to the side, smiling broad.

Because that makes other people believe in you, too!

He smiled and nodded, Thanks Utsumi, if I am honest that made a rather big impression. I know you'll be a great shinobi too one day, well actually in my opinion you already are. Keep up the hard work, and making others smile, it is a rarity in our world it seems. He looks off with a sigh and then signs Time for me to go stay strong and see you around!
