What to Do [req Kage]

After having escorted the Dragon Crew from the Prison, Megami headed immediately back to the spire. She realized this business was that sort of 'top priority' business that couldn't just sit around. If anyone had the information on certain people she needed to contact, or someone to give her the official order to let Kazuki go, it would be the Tsuchikage. And the only place she knew to look for him would be the Spire.

She made her way back into the building, and walked right past the pencil pushing desk jockeys to the stairs. On her way up, she ran over all the things that she needed to cover. It wasn't like she had been expecting such matters to fall onto her plate, but it wasn't something she was about to just back out of because there seemed to be suspicious activity surrounding it. She had to uphold the decision that their village had stood for when it came to Leaf's aid, and support their refugees. Villages had all kinds of government and law, and while Kazuki was innocent in their village, it was her duty not to release a potential threat into her village if such crimes were true. Which is exactly why she needed to talk to the Kage. She served his order, while under some circumstances she could say no, many times if she was given an order she would fulfill it. Only if it went against her own Guardian conduct would she refuse.

As Megami reached the top of the stairs she saw a secretary. "I need to see the Kage. I have important business with him." The secretary looked disinterested as she looked at her nails. "Do you have an appointment?" Megami stared blankly at the woman, walked closer, placing a hand on her desk. "No. But it's very important." The secretary looked up, and blinked, not expecting to see the Guardian Sennin. She didn't seem flustered or anything but she did get up. "I'll see if he's in. Have a seat." Megami went and chose to lean on a nearby wall, being opposed to sitting. She crossed her arms and started to drum her fingers on her armor. How would this discussion go? She hadn't talked with him much, aside from their initial meeting.

They said that hell had no fury like a woman scorned. Fortunately for Endo, he was single, unfortunately for Endo however, there were just as many important women as men that he had to deal with while serving as Tsuchikage. To say that he was busy would have been a gross understatement, as it stood, he was more focusing on how best to excavate a few ruins that he really felt would serve a better purpose in the future if he could invent a few things to help the construction crews. In short, he was playing with building blocks on his desk and he really . . . really . . . really didn't want to be disturbed. Serving as a Kage though, left very little time for personal pursuits. So if it wasn't marked as "Business" then the odds of being able to make the perfect little building block contraption just wasn't going to happen. So when it was said that Megami wanted a word with him, he really wanted to wave the poor soul who'd been put up to the task of bothering him away but ignoring one of the Sennin wasn't wise so with building blocks strewn across his desk, he sat back and waited for Megami to enter. Never mind the mess that he'd made of the place. There was a chair for her to sit in across from his desk and that would have to suffice in the otherwise boringly plain looking office room.

Before long, the secretary came back, but Megami hadn't seen or heard any sort of display that would mean she could enter. The secretary took her time getting back to her desk, and still she waited. Megami raised an eyebrow, wondering if this woman was going to at least give her an estimate of her wait. She wasn't necessarily an impatient person, and she realized the Kage probably had a swamped schedule, but if she at least wanted to know if she was going to be here for a few hours. A few moments passed and finally the secretary looked up and waved her in.

Megami pushed herself off of the wall, and headed into the office. Obviously the Kage hadn't been expecting her, nor had she really intended to see him, but that wasn't the point. Megami took a seat across from him, crossing her legs and resting her arms on the arm rest, her posture professionally straight. "I realize you're busy so I'll keep this short. Several shinobi from Konoha had a discussion with me, claiming that a Sennin, Senju Kazuki, from their village was under civil arrest for crimes against the country. He's currently in holding." Megami wasn't sure what kind of reaction this would insight from the Kage, but obviously it would relay the situation. "I don't want an international dispute on our hands, so I'm looking to be put in contact with anyone still alive from their village that can dispute or confirm these claims. Kazuki asked for someone by the name of Umashi, Kamaru, and whomever the Fire Daimyo is. Can you assist me, or do you believe that something else should be done?" Megami leaned to the side, propping her head up with her hand. During this time, her eyes roamed the room, just observing. She wondered if he took the time to personalize his office, or if it was just another official room. Offices always felt so confining. She would wait patiently, as these were no light matters and it had even taken her several long moments to even come to the idea of this compromise. There were never any written instructions on ways matters such as these were to be handled. Matters that honestly came around so infrequently that of course it wasn't going to be in some 'help guide' or 'user manual'. But Megami was a warrior, a Guardian, and this was her job, and she was handling it the best she could. It would just be interesting to see where it went from here.

Well, so much for world peace . . . Endo blinked once, twice, three times before clasping his hands together and finally speaking. "I applaud your clear thinking on the matter and I'm somewhat antiquated with Kazuki myself. Never had lunch with him mind you, but as far as I was aware he was a decent fellow. Umashi . . . full name Umashiashikabihikoji . . . was, err, is the Nidaime Hokage and yes, his personality is just as ridiculous as his name. Kamaru is, or was a shinobi of their order there so no doubt he would have served with Kazuki or known of him to a greater degree than I did. You can find him teaching students at the academy as I've just recently accepted him into our family." At this point, Endo stopped speaking and looked inquisitively from Megamis face to the window and then into a drawer in his desk. Rummaging through it, he finally pulled out a folder full of paper and began to thumb through it before he apparently found what he was looking for and pulled it out. While still looking at it, he spoke once more. "Now I'm no expert in Fire Country affairs but from everything that I've seen, heard and been a part of, Senju Kazuki was apparently the pro-shinobi Daimyo who aided the Hokage Umashi against the pro-samurai, burn-them-all, must-have-lost-his-mind Daimyo; eg, one of the good guys." He paused as he sat the paper down and gave Megami a puzzled look. That basically summed up his confusion in a nutshell. "I'm not going to call the guy a liar but . . . he basically just lawyered his own trial. So I ask you, what do you think we should do? Your expertise on the matter of dealing with getting to the truth of the matter is just as good as my own I'd think." Having given Megami the information that he was aware of, he turned the meeting back over to her.

She sat there, pondering for a while of all the things that he was saying. It was true that she knew of the fall of Konoha and the ice age that befell Mist, for information like that doesn't just escape an information broker of sorts. But, details however had been harder to get ahold of. If anything Endo seemed almost disinterested in this conversation anyway, but maybe that was just how his face looked. The same could probably be said of herself.

According to this new information, Kazuki was deemed as a reputable person. But she almost double-taked at that Umashi guys name. Who gets a birth name that long? And then he even knew of this Kamaru fellow. Megami was satisfied that she had come to the right person, but then again, it was the Kage's job to know these things. But that doesn't mean she can't still be impressed. "I see." Was all she uttered as he looked away, distantly. She could not say much more than that, for it is exactly what she had asked for.

As he pulled a folder from his desk, Megami arched an eyebrow. There was more? He read off some more information in regards to Kazuki's personality and dealings in politics. If he was pro-shinobi, then that meant he cared for the protection of his people, despite the gruesome civil war. And this Daimyo, which sounded just horrid really. If their Daimyo were to do such a thing, she would understand the rise against them. "If it's true, then I know at the very least he's hasn't done harm to a majority of Leaf shinobi. But the issue lies with what's been said to me. It was said that he openly attacked this group called "The Dragon Crew", planning to kill them, but then their Kage changed that order to an arrest on Umashi, which is strange if he was the next Kage. It was said that he can raise the dead as well. Despite our ways, I cannot hold him for speculation though. Which is why my judgment was to find someone of their village that will basically allow for his release or make arrangements for a longer sentence. If I were to find someone capable of such, I'll have them sign a waiver, marking their agreement to such things. Where can I find one of these men?" Megami sat, thinking over her decisions. This problem was just so twisted, like trying to track down a gossip chain to figure out if it's just a rumor or if it's true. She tucked some hair out of her eyes as she waited for another response.

Pulling out a pen from one of the many drawers in his desk, Endo grabbed a stray sheet of paper with a bunch of notes on it. Looking over its contents, he ripped off a clear piece and scribbled a name and an address on it. Speaking honestly, he slid the paper over to her. "Again, as much as I support the shinobi efforts of Konoha, I can't speak too much on the ins and outs of the place or exactly what happened before they came to us for aid. I was a soldier then, and even with my rank of Jounin, I simply followed orders and defended our people first, while worrying about the rest of the world, second. Kamaru though, is the only notable formally Konoha shinobi that I can think of at the moment. Our politicians handled the details of our policies on the refugees from there but he and I spoke and outside of that address, of which I'm not even totally sure of, he tends to hang around the Academy a lot as he's a teacher there now." So again it came down to simply not knowing enough and wanting to be completely honest in his assessment of the former Leafies. Whether she believed him or not was entirely up to her.

Reaching out, she took the piece of paper that had been extended to her. She scanned it's contents briefly as it was held between her gloved index finger and thumb. After that, she folded it up carefully and placed it into a small pack attached to her hip. "You still have been a helpful source. I, unfortunately, wasn't stationed there." Megami reflected back to what she had been doing. Serving a corruptive superior, following orders under false pretense that they were doing the right thing. But now it almost felt unreal. She remained quiet a few moments longer. She stood, lifting herself out of the chair gracefully. "Thank you for this information, and for seeing me. I'll leave you to your work, and begin my search for Kamaru. I'll also be sending a report to you once this is all handled. That's all I needed." She gave an affirmative nod that she was taking her leave, never having really been big on verbal goodbyes. Thinking about her next move, and the location that Endo had just given her, she made her way towards the door with the intention to exit. She also began to realize how late in the day it must have gotten and needed to head home before Hana chewed her head off for being late. She wasn't usually late, so if she was it usually meant that she would start to worry for nothing. Sometimes work just took longer to hash out than it should.

Souji had little time to diverge himself in his own thoughts, but he was conflicted and as his shadow would arise from the depths of the shadows just outside of the Spire. Souji would make his way quickly running towards the place. His chakra was weak from the use of his techniques... He used the void. He had to. He didnt know anything aside from the laws. Tampering with the dead... Souji couldnt say anything on the matter. Because there were things he couldnt explain. Though his techniques given to him by the Gods were something that he couldnt control... but they had their uses. Finding out history of this country that was forgotten in the texts... Either way this was going to be interesting. Souji had to get this done and as he entered the building, he'd tap his headset.

"~//~ Guardian of Shadows speaking from the spi-~//~"<i></i>, his voice stopping as soon as he felt a large chakra source. Just from the feeling it was the Sennin or Kage. Either would do to talk to right now. This information needed to be handed off as quickly as possible. He had just got done with the prison meeting with Lightning just previous. Now this? The large scroll attached to his back and now he was dressed in his Guardian attire with his golden badge attached to his sleeve he was on duty of course but still... maybe it needed to be stated. Souji stopped using his chakra on the shadows right now because they wouldnt help him locate the now two chakra sources that he was feeling. It was bad, but maybe it was something that he was beginning to learn naturally... He still had the envelope that Lightning gave him. So he was sensing her without knowing.

He would head to the office of the Kage himself, and the receptionist would spew out some blarring words but he flashed his badge and she seemed to halt. So that was good enough. 'Sometimes its good to have =some- status...' he'd think to himself before finally whisking away in a poof of shadows. Only to re-emerge just down the hallway from the office. And as he'd run full charge he'd come to a skidding halt in front of the door and panting as sweat seemed to trinkle from his forehead rolling down his cheeks and unto the floor. Holding his knees and seemingly heaving for air to enter his lungs. Drained from the fight. Drained from using his low amount of chakra. It was easy to understand why he was tired but, now with the talking...

Knocking on the door he'd finally gain some wind, "Tsuchikage-sama, I need to speak to you and Lightning-sama if she's in there... Its rather urgent.", and he'd await....

Maybe this would work out...

Endo was surely about to be done with the day now that Megami had opted to wrap things up and then suddenly he received a call for his presence. Well, so much for that hot spring bath. "Megami, you don't have to stay but if you'd like to, you can." he uttered. "Souji, you're welcome to come in." With that though, he sat back down and folded his arms as he waited for Souji to totally ruin his day with drama about a rebellion or something of the sort. With the way things were going now a days though, no doubt Souji really wasn't about ruining his day for no reason. Coincidentally though, he was itching for a fight. Being a good Kage though meant that he'd have to keep his hands to himself until the threat was fully assessed.

 

[Keigo Oen]

Muffled sounds would emerge but he locked on to the sound of his name, and with that Lightning's chakra seemed to disappear. Or at least he didnt feel it here anymore. Holding the Scroll in his hand he would lay it down. Having one of the bodies locked in his scroll a smaller one in his vest pocket, well only an eye. A rinnegan eye to be exact. As well as the body that came with it. Though it was in a smaller scroll in Souji's vest pocket. Either way, he would lay the scroll on the Kage's desk. Before speaking, "Sir, I found this person fleeing the village=, and they are apparently apart of the Village of Kumogakure. She was a Rikudo Sennin, and she was spewing nonsense about The Ryujiin sisters having attacked her and a man named Sarunishi... and then you wanted to make them the Kage Guard."<i></i> nodding he would manage to get that out before speaking once more, "Knowing a man of your caliber would never allow someone to attack foreign shinobi and then make them the guard to the crown... I disposed of her and her bodies. Though, even if it were true, this person initiated it with this Sarunishi person."<i></i>, and with that Souji would pull himself back and hold his hands behind his back as he stood stout ready to respond accordingly.

IF there was nothing left for him to do here he would definitely be out.

Doing a double take, Endo suddenly happened to have the biggest migraine in the world and with that he whirled once, twice and a third time before simply fell back into this chair. Somehow or another he'd stood up when Souji started spitting out the facts and the resulting backlash of knowledge seemed to do him in. Pain killers and a stiff drink, that's all he needed right now. Nodding his head to Souji as he allowed the man to leave he sighed very audibly. "Thank you, thank you very much." It seemed that no matter how much of a break he wanted, a break he was not going to get. Onward to more work he would go."
