Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A chance had shown itself. A chance to search the once impenetrable fortress that was the Hokage's Mansion, left in ruin by...well he wasn't to sure actually. Kishin had heard it was some sort of explosion, or attack, maybe a tantrum from his would be king. It didn't matter really, this wasn't his village. The fact was the mansion was destroyed, and the property was in-graciously lacklusteredly guarded. And that for him, allowed an attempt to be made to find the information he was looking for. Though, he wasn't absentminded, and held off until the area was covered entirely in darkness. Darker then dark, as the giant 3 or so mile hole had little to expunge the darkness that was he and the night. For Kishin, the young lad as endowed as he was, had the all seeing eye to light his path.

The ground was treacherous, metal, brick and wood strewn about just so. Jumping from roof tops was easy, this, this required skill to traverse. It took 45 minuets to travel what would normally take 5, but he made it to a small clearing that was the Hokage Mansion's main location. He looked around, hoping to see a sign that would say, "LOOK HERE STUPID", though he just wasn't that fortunate. He would have to just look around, turn a stone or two, maybe a wall, to find papers or cabinets that held what it was he sought.

What was the saying..when life gives you lemons. He discovered something about that saying just then..It was full of shit. Lemons sucked...sugar and water were needed too, and right now, that was the equivalent of what he needed. Something sweet with something to water the job down with. The young boy ripped through a few handseals and suddenly, there were four of him. How was that for dissolving this job. Now, he just needed to find his sugar.

Kishin continued to search for, turning large stones over and displacing smaller rubble with the aid of earth jutsu if need be. It took him a while to realize he was roughly 20 feet above the surface of the ground, not that he found the ground, just that he finally thought about the obviousness of all he was finding was rubble, and flipping rubble onto rubble. In other words..he was digging a hole and filling it at the same time, the clones were filling it. He was much smarter then that.

He took a break as he ordered the earth clones to search for an opening into a room, while moving larger pieces a distance away. If needed, they could use ninjutsu to help break pieces down. They were a few hours into the night now, and he was beginning to feel like he was getting no where. Then he heard something. Kishin looked around using his Byakugan. He didn't see anything. He got up and weaved a few hand seals and the clones popped, dropping several large pieces of rock with a bang that echoed. He stood still, and listened carefully. He was sure he heard something... He continued to look. The young boy wasn't sure what it was, but he knew he wasn't alone out here.

"Huh...guessed I imagined it.." No one was around. He turned back and walked to see the progress. The clones were doing a decent job. Though they still hadn't reached a room with files in it. He did manage to find a hall way, with several doors within. It was a chance, but most of the rooms were broken partially as well. And what more, had massive amounts of weight sitting on top of them. It was just as easy that they could collapse as they could have had the files he was looking for. He re-weaved his hand seals and created one clone. "Just in case right.. Stay safe and I will find the paperwork." He headed into the corridor and the clone walked and stood guard at the entrance.

He crept deeper and deeper into the once bustling location that was the central HQ of shinobi's for this village. Now, a husk, empty and discarded. Though he knew the riches within these walls. He tried a door and it was locked. Or..he pushed harder and felt it budge an inch. Well, it was locked, but the weight on the frames bent them enough to stop it from functioning. Something was just blocking his way in. He pushed harder against the door and thought he felt it slipping then stopped. It was just his imagination. The door wasn't budging. He stood their and looked around confused. "Well, shit!" He looked around again and then tried to push again. The top of the door moved, the bottom was determined to keep him out. Then he stopped. It just donged on him. He held his hand against the door and 5 black shinny smooth appendages came out of his wrist, climbing to the top and sides of the door. "If you can't go around it..go through it!" Cracking sounds echoed in the hallway. Wood splintering and breaking, metal rending. The words he spoke, probably didn't really relate to the situation, but..why be smart when you can be resourceful. And that he was.

The door gave way, him finding out it was reinforced with metal, and a building blocking his way on the bottom. He pulled the door away and tossed it onto the ground next to him, and crawled on top of the ruble. Inside, he could see several filing cabinets, just the tops of them though, and plenty of other garbage; pictures, personal mementos, clothing, books. The stuff appeared to be feminine in appearance. He pulled himself to one of the cabinets and pulled the top drawer. JACKPOT!!!

Outside, the clone of Kishin, earthen as it was, was kicking around a rock and cross kicking it so it sped off, spouting lingo along the lines of being the greatest player in all the world of [?insert sport here?]. "It", he wasn't on guard, or paying any attention to the world around him. This spoke less about the clone of course, and volumes about Kishin. Lack of focus, training, and attention. His absentmindedness and child like demeanor, as much as was left, was obvious. Not having been properly trained in the shinobi arts might have been a shortcoming if it weren't for the horrible other things he had gone through.

Notes: All Kishins are in the costume form.

"Damn, not what I was looking for." He looked through the folder and noticed a trend. They were all marked Main Branch Member. It wasn't the branch of shinobi he was looking for. This must have been the main branch office of someone, most probably Kenshin's. It was still a treasure trove of information. He continued searching, perhaps for a chance at finding what he was looking for, but also as the chance of maybe discovering or learning some information that might serve him in the future. Anyone that was in the main branch, he would soon know all their..well secrets was a little much, but personal information that wasn't available to any tom, dick and harry.

It certainly was a great amount of information. Though he was lucky in a way. Another gift, though this one a lot less painful had been taught to him while he was being "trained" back in Iwagakure. He learned a jutsu that allowed him to record information, seal it, and be able to recall it with great precision. Of course, he was using that skill now. The training might have been harsh and cruel, but it was serving him well.

After finishing the entire cabinet he squeezed back through the door and closed it. He was certainly on the right floor it would appear, he would just have to continue looking into the other offices. He continued forward, using jutsu and physical strength to move debris to make way towards the next door in the distance. Though, this time he would be a little rougher given how much crap was in the way. He would hae to just cut the door open. Or..he could try that technique again with the specters. Though, last time worked out so well!...

Ya that wasn't that great of an idea. The last one he pulled out tried to kill him. Hell, it tried to destroy an entire city block or two. It was an ancient building that was quite well known in the village. He looked around himself at that exact moment, remembering where he was standing. "This shit happens way to often in this village..." Then he thought for a moment. 'Did..did I cause this? No, no way. I..don't...think..soo..' He tried really hard at that moment to think. Then the worst thought came about. 'Could..could they be escaping from me freely? Is that a thing?' He took a slow step forward and started to move the rocks himself. 'No way. Na, pshh. I would know if one of my hearts exited my body. Surely. Not like they can up and leave when I...am..asle', he pushed the thought out of his head. The idea of it was disturbing.

He thought back to the 4 hearts he had taken. His "instructor", an earth jutsu wielder that was trained by the mist country and a sadistic monster. His "master" the man whom ran the gang and had a penitence for power by any means. His "keeper" a man whom enjoyed causing pain and had a thing for small children. And then, there was his "victim". A young woman, a shinobi from leaf, genin water user. It was actually his first target upon receiving the earth grudge fear. She just happened to be the chosen test subject and sacrifice to test his new skills out upon. At least that was what he first wast told. Eventually he discovered she was a prize taken from a rival syndicate that pissed off a lieutenant of his own gang. She was taken very similar to the way he was, but instead of being breed to fight, she was raised for a different purpose. From what he heard, it took a while for her to end up his victim, but perhaps his actions were an act of clemency in disguise. He wondered, if he released that heart, what would happen..

He entered into the next office. This time he was sure it was the ANBU sennins office. It was actually in decent condition, just heavily blocked. He started to go through the papers. Very little was kept in this office it appeared. Just reports from other branches, and a list of offenders locked up in the local prison. Maybe some of the information was worthwhile, but not really. One thing did peak his interest. A list of "Capture on Sight" shinobi, what was it called again. The ANBU's Black list? Black book..um..hit list of sorts. Oh wait, Bingo book. That was what they called it. He looked through it really quick, and even looked to see if there was an entry about him. Nothing. "Hmm,guess next one will be my target hopefully..."

He flipped through the files, one after the other. This was the information he was looking for. Anyone that was or bound to become a medical shinobi, even a few extra files for those whom had the capabilities were stored within. Everything he could was being copied, he was going over every inch of everyone's files. Admittedly, he was even taking his time on such. He hoped he would see anything about anyone that was familiar with his sister. Learned from her, served under her, worked with her, he hoped to find something. Then, then he found her file. It was rather limited in size, a surprise for sure. He half expected it to be a little more filled, speaking of missions she had accomplished or what not.

Though, no it was emptier then even some of the lower ranked ones. That was the most surprising, her rank. She..Sara had been managing to work her way up quickly. When she left Stone, he was sure she was but a student within the medical field. That was actually a surprise in itself. She was certainly more gifted then most, but had stayed a student for so long. It was actually a relief. The higher ranked, the more.. your put into precarious positions. Though soon coming to this village, she rocketed up it seems. Why?

He continued to toil over her file but, still, it was to empty. Their was a note dated just after the shinobi left stone to take over leaf, talking about accommodations to be moved up. Then he saw it. Words that were most disturbing indeed. Blackened out words. It was a first for him most certainly. Only a handful of files had such that he passed as of yet. And he of course figured them to revolve around secret operations. ANBU operations. And what was blackened out...felt to grow in size as he stared at them. His dear sister, was being mixed into the worst crowd possible. He breathed deeply, upon reaching the end of her file, where the blackened words still appeared. Nothing else was within. Nothing about where she was, or the mission she was on. He turned back to her picture, touching it and taking hold of the it, ripping it out. He put the file back inside, then went through a few others.

The rest of his search was half heartened, but he still got basic information for the most part. Upon coming to the last file, he reached for his side and grabbed a box of matches, lightning it then tossing the book inside. He was sure they had backups of everything, but that wasn't his reason. He held onto the picture and pocketed it, and headed off. He just needed to make sure no one knew what he was looking for. As he exited, he spoke to his clone, telling him to burn the files within. His mission was completed. Now...now he needed to effectively find one of two people. Sara's boss, the sennin of medical shinobi, or the ANBU. Both of which wouldn't be made easy, especially in the coming weeks..
