There was a loud noise and some rumbling as the elevator took Osu down to the basement labs, but he didn’t really mind it, as the occurrence was fairly regular in the lab floor. Osu stepped off the elevator and began walking down a long hallway, being careful to step over an unhinged door and proceeding after making sure the door’s owner was still alive. They were perfectly fine, don’t worry, just a bit overcooked and in the midst of a coughing fit.
Osu soon approached ‘his’ lab but honestly he had passed it over to his disciple to use as a study room since he didn’t really have time to come down here anymore. Perhaps in the future he might delegate research topics, but his days in the lab were basically over as he began taking more and more of the hospital’s administrative roles.
He pressed the button beside the door that wouldn’t actually make a noise in the room, but flicker a dull red light instead, otherwise what if the sudden noise caused someone to have a slip of the hand during an experiment or something? As demonstrated by the fellow further up the hall, surprises could have disastrous results so these were used instead of normal doorbells. After waiting a moment he entered.
“Siu I hope you have been been doing your readings, as today we will be heading down to the morgue to see things in person. Though before we head down are there any questions you have relating to your studies or anything else that has been on your mind lately?”
