Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Isamu has been wandering around the Nations for a long time. He has had his fill with Sand, after his nasty run in with the "Organization" and the group of S rank criminals known as "Snake". Both experiences left Isamu with a bitter taste in his mouth. The Organization seems to have their hand in every crime thought possible from murder to kidnapping to theft and etc. Isamu investigated their workings with a great amount of effort, but Isamu was only able to scratch the service. Apparently, they have been around for hundreds of years and run deep in all villages, especially the Great shinobi villages. Isamu is unsure how strong of a hold the organization has over the nation, but it was obvious that their strength and influence was far more than what Isamu had first assumed with his first opinion of the Organization. It could be possible that members of this organization could hold powerful authority roles in the villages. It could be horrible if a member of this organization became a Kage or even an advisor. From Isamu's experiences with the organization, all of its members are shinobi, but they specialize as spies and doing espionage. Although Isamu has met one individual of the organization that could be described as a brute, he has been the lone example.

As for Snake, that was a grudge match that Isamu was able to chase down relating to his father's death while he was in the academy. Apparently, these criminals were working through a contract in which Isamu's father needed to die and in order to discover who was behind the kill order, Isamu tracked down the group known as Snake to get answers. Unfortunately, all Isamu received for his efforts were bloodshed, death, and more questions. The members of Snake were formidable opponents each individually, and a near unstoppable force together. They were all stubborn to a fault, and like most criminals they took their secrets with them to their graves. Well most of them did. They were eight members originally when Isamu begin tracking their movements. Isamu discovered five of the eights identity and defeated those five without any success for his attempts. Unless, you consider the experience he got in first aid and near death experiences, which he doesn't. It wasn't until Isamu got lucky with a tip that lead him to an unknown members bad habit. It was a far shot, but Isamu couldn't afford to le tit pass by without at least seeing it out. As luck would have it, the Snake tattoo that all members have was visual on the unknown identities forearm as he made his self known loudly in the brothel he decided to take up residency for the night. Isamu came in the front greeted the hostess and ask for time to inspect the merchandise before settling down with any company. The hostess waved him on to "window shop" and Isamu took the time to sneak up on the Snake member making his self known in the center of the room. By utilizing his manipulation of his Shadow Element chakra he slipped into the target's shadow unaware. Isamu pointed a sharp knife into the man's artery in his neck just enough to bring blood to the surface. The man's body went rigid as he realized the situation he was in. He has made a mistake, he allowed his bad habit to sign his death warrant. He was far to drunk to be able to react fast enough to get out of this situation, the fact this person was able to get the jump on him was evidence enough of that. So he done the one thing he could still do, and if the night goes the way he planned it to, he wouldn't be able to remember it anyways. The man started pleading for his life, and Isamu began to smile. Finally, he found the one person in the group who valued their own life. Before the night was over, Isamu was making his way towards Leaf and the unknown member of Snake was snoring loudly in a bed surrounded by beautiful women.

Isamu looks to the horizon, he has been traveling for a long time. He has had only two goals in mind the entire time, and with any luck he will be able to achieve both of them once he reaches the Village Hidden in the Leaves. He is technically a mercenary, but for the longest time he has only been working for his self. This may change, if fate decides to please Isamu wants and desires of revenge and justice. Only time will tell, and for now Isamu must keep moving towards the future that awaits.

Takeshi was enjoying his stroll just outside of the village country, it seemed that he was just enjoying listening to the birds that were flying by and that everything seemed right with the world. He was enjoying venturing outside of the village, he had a few missions to go on and knew full well that when he got home he would be busy once again, but that was life. After all how hard was it to actually find the time to be alone and in the peace of the world, he sighed as he slowed down as he spotted someone that was in front of him. Looking at the figure that was walking towards him, he allowed himself to sigh slightly as he changed his direction to meet with the stranger that was heading his way.

“Hello, beautiful day isn’t it? So I have to ask what brings you this way, I was honestly hoping to find myself alone, but if that isn’t the case well might as well have a little chatter with a fellow walker. From the state of you looks like you have been traveling a while”

Takeshi brought himself to a stop a little bit away from the stranger as he pondered the man, looking him up or down he had a pleasant and welcoming smile on his face instead of the usual hard tone that he normally had. Maybe he was right and something about this air just made him feel like life really was on the way up.

Yuki felt the urge to go for a walk so that is what she did, she was enjoying the winters air against her skin as she walked around the outside of the village. It was nice to get put everyone now and again, enjoy her own company, it was good for her, it had been a while since she could enjoy her own thoughts without the noise if Leaf around her. It was when she made her way back to the gates that she noticed something strange. It was Takeshi talking to someone that she had not seen before, she approached the two of them in a effort to see what was going on.

Isamu's future had a sense of humor of sorts. He had expected to have a quiet stroll by his self until he reached the gates to the village. However, he heard someone call out to him. This unsettled Isamu because he was unaware of anyone's presence. Which could only mean one of two things, either this person hid his presence from Isamu the entire time, or was so quick and stealthy that Isamu didn't notice his approach. Both were signs of this shinobi having great skill. Perhaps this person could be the one to set Isamu's course on the right path.

Isamu hood has been up hiding his features as he strode silently forward daydreaming about his past. Once the man spoke however, Isamu removed his hood to reveal his identity. Isamu assumed this man was a guard of sorts, and Leaf simply patrols their borders further out than most villages, unless of course Isamu was incorrect in his calculations of how far he was from the gates. Isamu's medium length messy brown hair covered most of his forehead and eyes. Although if someone was to pay close attention his brown eyes could be seen staring back at them. His skin normally a white pale color, has darkened slightly from his time in Sand. He was unable to wear the hoody that he normally wears there as he does now. His build is that of an athletic male with defined muscle tone. Not that most of this would be noticeable in his black hooded sweat shirt and black sweat pants.

Isamu followed the voice to a near by tree. A lone man was perched upon a branch like a bird. He had been the culprit who had called out to Isamu. The only polite thing was to answer back, so Isamu did so without any hesitation.

"I would think so. It is better weather than what was in Sunagakure as I left. Nasty sandstorm was brewing in as I made my way out of the desert. No one wants to be on the desert during a sandstorm. It brings all kind of nasty critters out." Isamu paused for a moment to direct the conversation towards the last part of the man's greeting. "I am always intrigued to converse with new people. I am Isamu Sunaku, currently an unemployed mercenary originating from Mist. Who may I have the pleasure of holding a conversation with?"

Isamu senses kicked in as he has become alert about his surroundings and isn't preoccupied with careless thoughts, the presence of another shinobi was noticed. However, she did not make her appearance known, so Isamu decided to make it for her. "It seems these woods are much busier than I expected. Who are you?" Isamu spoke as he turned towards the kunoichi that approached them.

[OOC: Yuki I assumed you weren't in stealth as you didn't state that or RP it in any way. However, if you meant to be I can edit my RP to accommodate that or simply get a stealth check? Which ever works/needed for you.]

Takeshi looked at the stranger as he walked, it seemed both of them had stopped in their tracks as they faced each other. Weird situation to call it anything but a normal casually meeting of strangers, as he listened to the words of the man as he was speaking he allowed himself to consider the options in front of him, it seemed that he had come from Sunagakure so at least he was trusted there if he had been traveling from that direction, he didn't exactly envy the man on his decision to travel via that root. He nodded as he listened to the man speaking and introduce himself as well as making a mental note that the man had described himself as a Mercenary so going around and finding the scraps to make money was his trade. It wasn't pretty and admirable but at least he had a way to make a living.

Isamu seemed to be open to talking, as he listened to the call out his eyes shifted as he fell on the familiar figure and he allowed a smile to creep across his face as he looked at the woman. In his eyes, he knew that nothing was more beautiful to him in the world than what he was seeing right now. As he glanced back to the Shinobi in there something caught his attention. Mist. The words stuck in his head like a sharp dagger for a few seconds as he pondered the meaning of the words. This guy had survived what hell freezing over would be like but right now he needed to find out his motivation.

"Well it is a pleasure to meet you Isamu Sunaku, well allow me to introduce you, my name is Uchiha Takeshi, Hokage Advisor for Konoha, Lord Forth, and the previous Hokage. A pleasure to meet you, I have to say not expecting to meet someone from Mist, you lot have become a very rare bunch these days. So what brings you in the direction of Leaf if you don't mind me asking, I am happy to take you there with a valid reason."

He let the smile stay on his face, he had no qualms with the man if the reason he had given was honest and open. So honestly he could see no harm here, but something was nagging at his mind that he almost forgot to answer before this conversation could go any further.

"Oh of course do you have the correct documentation that I can see?"

His hand coming up with an outstretched palm for papers to be given to him as he waited to see what the man would actually show as proof of his claims.

Yuki approached the two men so she was close enough now to hear them talk among each other, she didn't hide her presence as she felt no need to, at least not at the moment. She didn't want to interrupt the conversation so for the time being simply listen, once the unfamiliar name was finished he turned to address her directly.

"My name is Haku Yuki, just another Shinobi of Leaf." She smiled at him "I was just passing through when I saw you with our dear former Hokage here, so I thought I would just stop by and check-in, that's all," The female stood by Takeshi side still more than a little dubious of the supposed wandering mercenary, for now however she was more than happy to follow the Sennin's lead and carry on with the peaceful negotiation, besides so long has the stranger bore no ill intent then there was no need for things to get out of hand.

Apparently this man before him use to be the Hokage, that is if this Yuki was telling the truth and it didn't seem like something someone would want to or need to lie about. However, this Uchiha Takeshi only introduced his self as an advisor of the present and past Hokage. Suppose that means he was originally the second Hokage then? Which meant this shinobi was far more experienced then Isamu has given him credit for. None of this truly mattered to Isamu at the moment, since they did not seem keen to interfere with him entering the village. So far they were having a simple conversation and Isamu was pleased to keep it that way. He wasn't here to hide anything, and the fact that this shinobi was a high ranking member of Leaf could play to his advantage in achieving his goals.

Isamu acknowledged the kunoichi, but aimed his reply to Takeshi since he was the one asking the questions. "It isn't a surprise that Mist nin have become scarce considering the state of my homeland. I would say it's safe to assume you have seen more of my Mist kin than I have." Isamu finished his sentence with a slight breath as he began to answer the second part of Takeshi's statement or was it a question, suppose it doesn't truly matter as long as the answer is the same. "I am actually searching for a group known as the "Organization" which have been proven to have spies or sleeper agents in all the village's. During my time in Sunagakure I was only able to discover one of these agents and that one lead me here, while Sunagakure kept searching for more within their borders. There is also a group of rogue ninja that go by the name of "Snake" in which I would be grateful in any kind of information on them. Lastly, I would be interested in any kind of mercenary work that Leaf may have to offer me." Well there was the truth, now to gauge this man's response. It is possible that this man could be a sleeper agent from the Organization or even this Yuki women who is standing near them. The organization is unrelenting, and their purpose is still completely unknown. The only thing Isamu did know about them was that they caused chaos and trouble where ever they are.

Next was Isamu's need to show his documentation to Takeshi to allow his passage into the village. All village's require a passport, and although his original was missing from Kirigakure during his visit to Sunagakure they created him a new one. Luckily he was able to meet up with Amaratsu outside of the gate and he vouched for Isamu's entry. Hopefully, there won't be a need for such an occurrence this time. Although, Isamu is surely in a good spot if it is needed. Isamu dug the passport that Sunagakure made for him that showed his lineage to Mist, but has the Sunagakure stamp of approval. There was also a note about Isamu being a mercenary, Isamu had always assume this was the norm for them. "This should do" Isamu said as he handed the document towards Takeshi waiting for him to take it and inspect it, since that is the custom of such things.

Takeshi took the documentation that was given, letting the smile never leave his face. It seemed the man they had encountered was just after some information and honest work, he wasn't going to fault someone that was looking for that alone. As he read over them he nodded to himself mainly as he looked at all of the words that had been said. Gently folding the piece of paper back together he offered it back to the man that stood in front of him, returning the documentation that he had been handed he looked around him towards the other shinobi that had come out for a stroll.

"During my time as Hokage, I didn't hear anything about a group of Ninja group called Snake inside of the village that I can recall, not saying that they were not about but if they were it was well and truly in some dark hole somewhere that no-one could see. But I am happy to bring you to leave with us and see if we can find that information for you? I am also sure that Konaha could offer some work for you not a problem at all. So fancy taking this casual stroll with us to the gates?"

He was polite to the man who just seemed to be after some honest work after all, as he knew what that felt like so could understand where he was coming from. Though reports of a group that was existing did peak his curiosity so he would have to look into that when he got the chance of course. As he allowed himself to turn back towards the direction of the village and started to hear that way, he would stop to make sure the man was following him.

He would at least try and make some small talk on the journey that they had together towards the village gates, it was always worth finding out as much information as possible about someone even when you had only just met them. He beckoned for Yuki to follow as well, there was no point in leaving her out here, they all might as well go back towards Leaf.

"Besides I am sure you are hungry, at least this way we can get you some food as well inside of the village, nothing better than some hot food after a long day of travel in my eyes.

Yuki could see that the talks were going to be peaceful which was a blessing,
“You know I could go for food actually. You fancying some Ramen, pretty sure it is your turn to buy” She turned to Takeshi and gave a knowing smiled. The female walked at the former Hokage’s side, while things seemed to be peaceful for now she knew that things did have a habit of changing on a dime and she wasn’t about to leave her husband with a strange and unknown ninja And she didn’t care if he would moan about her being over protective.

Isamu returned the document from whence it came and focused on Takeshi's account about when he was Hokage. What he said could be true, it is possible that none of the members of Snake has made their presence known in the Leaf and it's even possible that none of its members have infiltrated Leaf. Not very likely, but possible. His rat could've just been lying to save his own life, but it seemed sincere and a hint of truth and more importantly, fear. The ex-Hokage did offer assistance and discovering the possibility of any infiltration within the village. Isamu of course would agree to the help gratefully as any help is far better than none at all.
"Yes, that would be very appreciative Takeshi. I am not familiar with Leaf village at all, since this is my first time coming here." Isamu waited as Takeshi went on, referring to the chance at getting something to eat, in which Yuki spoke up and suggested Ramen. Isamu hasn't gave food much thought, but once it was mentioned Isamu realized he was in fact very hungry.

"Ramen sounds good to me, anything warm and wet has to be good." Isamu smiled, as he slowly realized what the looks and glances were between Takeshi and Yuki meant earlier. With the playful banter between, it was quite obvious these two were more than just mere acquaintances. Perhaps, there was a more physical and mental relationship than Isamu had first assumed.
