Aya had been in Kumo for a few months now, she had been waiting for the next academic year to start, and before she knew it, it was right around the corner. She had yet to do any socializing, maybe because she didn't want to get to close to anyone yet. Instead, she had been training. She had good fighting skills, but she needed to work on her Ninjutsu skills. She knew the basics, from the Shinobi who brought her here, they taught any child who they were going bring back to Kumogakure to become Ninja. Aya went to the forest to practice her Taijutsu on trees. She started her routine, go into the forest, find a tree, then start hitting and kicking it. After about an hour, Aya decided to try something else. She wanted to try using some sort of Jutsu, though she knew hand signs, and basic Jutsu, she wanted to try an Elemental Jutsu. So she tried out a few hand signs and blew out. She was trying to make a fireball. But nothing came out. So she tried again, and again. She tried different hand signs and different ways of building her chakra up and out, but she seemed to not be getting it. It didn't help she did not know exactly how to perform the fireball jutsu.
After some time, of failing, Aya was ready to give up, and call it quits, one more time, and she'd take a break. She tried again, and nope nothing. She was starting to lose her breath, but she was starting to become frustrated. Although she said one more time, in her frustration she tried again, with a different hand combination, and then blowing out. Instead of fire, just air came out, but this time it was a little different. The air was shaped and hardened. It was shaped like a plain staff and was as light as air. Aya was able to hold it, she was quite confused, was this a Jutsu, or was she just hallucinating from lack of oxygen?
Aya took a deep breath and whacked the tree with her air staff. The tree made a thud sound, so it was differently solid. Soon the staff dissipated, and Aya was left a little stumped. So she cut her training short and went home.
Later Aya paid a visit to the library, she wondered if they had any information on what she just did, she knew it had to be a wind jutsu. SO she looked it up, the only thing that was close was a technique used by SHinobi who specialized in wind Jutsu. These shinobi were called Wind Valkyrie and had a strong affinity to wind. Some even could fly, and use the wind as armor. One of the Techniques described them using wind to create weapons, just like what she did. Though she doubted she could duplicate what she did easily, she knew that this was something she wanted to train on.
