Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Maru stomped along the streets of konoha, the young shinobi was grumbling to himself. “Who the hell does she think she is?! Leaving me out in the forest and stealing my glasses to keep as a trophy huh?! Well surprise!... You've failed you dumb witch!” Maru said, clearly having a bone to pick with the current Hokage. The boy did insult her, called her a terrorist, smacked her hand, and did said openly that he would try to fight her. However, the young shinobi didn't see the punishment as a learning experience to know right from wrong. All he was concerned with now was revenge against the most politically powerful individual in the hidden leaf. Honestly usually Maru was really bored, so he usually liked to start some stuff in order to ease that boredom. And what is more fun than getting even with someone that had wronged you.

The boy wandered how will he go about his retaliation against the hokage, he gazed up looking at hokage rock. Seeing the faces of all the “great” hokage who had overlooked the village for years to come. A historical landmark that Maru cared little about. Almost everyone wanted to become hokage one day, the village shrouded in this illusion of hope but those people with who dwell in the light are the first to experience the pain that the darkness will have to offer. “Tch. Your mug ain't even in the rock of shame!” the young shinobi said spitefully, glaring back at the stone faces that overlooked the village. "Honestly that….” Then Maru came up with an idea.. A idea that will surely get the young shinobi a slight satisfaction in showing his dislike towards the governing bodies of the hidden leaf. Rubbing his hands together, the half demon chuckled to to himself deeply. He heard of students cleaning faces of hokage rock, however Maru planned to use the freshly clean rock to convey a message to the not-so-great hokage. And what better place to give the hokage herself a message than the historical landmark? He's sure that the hokage faces wouldn't mind because most of them are dead old people that people don't really care much about now. So it is time to give people something else to look at when they look up at hokage rock.

"Heh heh heh…. You said that I was being extra when I was insulting you hm?” Maru paused “Well let's show you how extra I really can be.” he young shinobi said with a sneering grin, planning his next move the boy decided that he should head home so he could get a few items….

….

At home, Maru sealed gallons and gallons of ink into elemental scroll. Walking over to the weapons room, he picked up a water cannon that was usually designed for shooting water at high pressures so one of his puppets could have the potential to cut through flesh with the cannon. However Maru decided to use ink for this job he had planned, after all ink was hard to get off so if said person used ink to vandalize a curtain place, they'll have to have a lot to bleach to get the ink off! Maru loaded the scroll into the cannon, detaching one of Kawaii’s arms to attach the new cannon arm for her. Once the black ink cannon had been installed Maru went over to grab another water cannon scroll to seal ink inside, load it into a water cannon, then attached the cannon to Kawaii as her new temporary arms. Maru was rather impressed with his creativity in creating ink cannons, however he had one problem…

Kawaii had on a very expensive dress, the ink may ruin her dress and probably will get him caught when he finished expressing his dislike for the hokage. So Maru couldn't leave evidence nor could he ruin a good dress that she could wear out with him on public rounds. The boy strolled over to his closet to get a very dark ninja outfit for his doll, stripping off the nice dress to put on the dark ninja outfit. Placing a hood over her head and tying a mask around her face, she was as ready as she needed to be to do her job. For the fun of it Maru decided to wear some matching clothes for the mission, then he attached his chakra threads to the puppet. She saying her usual like giving Maru access to all her different features he installed within her. "WELL HELLO THERE… HEHEHE.. ARE YOU READY FOR PLAYTIME!!!” Kawaii said in her usually cheerful voice, Maru made Kawaii get up from the work table to stand up.

Then Maru walked to the door, heading outside with his puppet at his side then hops on the roof. Running from rooftop to rooftop to head toward the hokage rock, it was around 1:00 at night so the strong shinobi might would be sleep by now. But Maru could never be too careful so he kept to the shadows and kept his footsteps hidden. The darkness kept Maru hidden, using invisible chakra threads so people wouldn't notice Kawaii as they made their way to the rock. The faint tapping of shinobi sandals and the rattling of wood were the only noises that could've been heard. Once they were at the rock, Maru chucked to himself. Gazing up at the rock with his red eyes that glew like hellfire in the night. After a moment of gazing at the faces of the “great” leaders, Maru pulled at Kawaiis threads so she could release the ends if her ink cannons from both of her palms. The boy running up the stair case to get to the top of the mountain, stopping when he saw a flashlight coming his was and he hid. The guards were pretty much slacking off, honestly they just wanted to guard the hokage rock because it had a great view. Who would come up there at this hour?

Little did they know that their laziness would soon doom their own jobs for letting Maru easily slip on by them. Making it to the top of hokage rock! He looked down from the guard rail, seeing the face of one of the hokage’s from a different angle. A long way down too, if he fell then he'll be a bloody black mess to be scooped off the ground. A rather unpleasant thought but Maru had Kawaii so she'll be doing most of the work so there was nothing to be afraid of, it was time to get started on his work of art. Maru made Kawaii hop off the rail, flicking his wrist so the ink would begin firing.

Meanwhile…
“Heh heh heh, and then she said! –” The guard joke had been cut short, the smell of ink was in the air which was weird in itself. Looking at the other night guard he asked. “Oi! Is it me or its smelling like ink around here.” the man asked seemingly sniffing the air to make sure that his notion of smelling ink was correct. Of course it sure as hell smelled just like ink, but the night guard looked at his partner to see if he could smell the ink too.

The other guard took a couple sniffs then shrugs. “Yup its ink alright. “ the other guard said grumbling to himself having to get off his lazy behind and get to work. Honestly the reason why the two took the job is because there was no action which meant easy money to buy some booze or something. “Let's go see what's all the fuss is about.” With that the guards picked up their lights and headed for the rail to the hokage faces to investigate.

Maru still firing the ink onto the faces of the hokage's was rather surprised that this vandalism is taking a lot longer than he thought. He just wanted to write a few huge words for everyone to read, it was rather childish but it didn't matter. After all the village needed something a little different to look at besides a bunch of dead ninja's that got lucky enough to get a little power. However Maru's luck may had ran out when he saw that the guards were approaching, he had to think fast but what could he do to get rid of them? Before Maru came up with a solid plan, Maru pulled Kawaii up from the side of hokage rock to charge at the guards that had been approaching them. The guards nearly jumped out of their skin.

“What the!–” They began weaving hand signs but it was already too late, Kawaii gave both guards a quick konk to the head with a quick one-two with both her arms. They fell unconscious, not really knowing what just happened to them as they fell to the ground. Now that there won't be any more distractions, Maru decided to put his beloved puppet on the edge of the rail to finish up the message he had to complete. Looking down as he wrote letter by letter what he wanted to say, then once he was finished with the writing he decided to use the rest of the ink to make the hokage on the far right look like an angry, bushy browed, puppet saying the message he had made for Yomi. Once that was all done, Maru decided to make a quick exit, running back down the stairs to take the path that he came from. The boy was feeling pretty good about himself after tagging the hokage rock, Maru believe that he probably wouldn't be caught nor did he care if he did. Because at the end of the day, come morning everyone will get a chance to see his art that will be for display for all the villagers to see. Pretty sure that some of her machines will most likely hunt the mysterious vandal down for this.Good luck cleaning that up witch’Maru thought as he made his way home to destroy the evidence.

…..

Morning..

Maru yawned, staggering off of his bed like a zombie. Completely exhausted from last night's run, honestly he would have gotten more sleep if he didn't have to do training which was way more important than sleep. If he wanted revenge, he had to get off his behind and do something. Maru looked over at his Kawaii puppet back in her nice dress, attaching his chakra threads to pull her along with him so the could go outside. The young shinobi had wanted to see what people thought of his artistic expression… the people's reactions didn't disappoint Maru a bit.

People were looking from all over Konoha, gazing up at the blanton disrespect to the village and the hokage. The hokage's face the left looked like a angry yelling clown, the vandal used the other hokage faces as a speech bubble with poorly drawn letters that say

‘I HATE YOMI!!!!!’

in big inky, black, chicken scratch letters that had been hardly even readable upon first glance. But it did get the vandals point across that whoever it was isn't a big fan of the hokage. Some believed it was a spoiled brat looking for attention, some believe that it may be a new gang showing its rebellious attitude, and there were some that suspected Maru because he's been known to lash out at people. But Maru couldn't help but chuckle to himself at a job well done, honest he wondered what Yomi would say after seeing this. Best case scenario is she will be furious and orders for the vandal to show his/or her self. Worst case scenario is the hokage will simply laugh it off and turn the other cheek because that'll mean he'll have to up his game. Regardless he did have fun and if he did get questioned in it, he will put full responsibility of this crime in Kawaii. After all it was her who drew on the hokage, Maru was a mere witness to the crime.
