Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The proving ground was a place many students came to train. One such student was on the field and seemed to be brawling an invisible opponent. The boy had an interesting appearance to say the least. He was dressed casually, but he was definitely different from the norm. It was quite obviously he had some sort of demonic ancestry within his bloodline. On top of his head was a pair of cat like ear in addition to his human ones on the sides. He also had a cat like tail, which swayed behind him. He attacked his unseen foe with swipes of his sharp claws.

The boy was not alone on the proving ground for not too far away stood a gypsy woman. The woman watched the boy as he flailed his claws through the air. In fact to tell the truth she was aiding in the kids train. The adversary the boy is fight is a real one and yet not real at all. He was fighting a Night Mare, an illusionary beast only he and the woman can see. The creature can act independently of its summoner and can deal damage, but is still an illusion never the less.

Life had taken an unexpected turn. A turn down a path of uselessness and quiet thoughts. Searching for months now, with no results. The only thing she was getting out of this village was frustration. Monogomai Kurai spoke a language from different from the one in Iwa. From an island far from the skyfall, floating in the middle of the ocean, she was at a complete loss here. The village was far more advanced than her third-world country, and the people here were, to say the least, far more rude and suspicious. Everyone here had a look of death in their eyes, and blood on their tongues. She could feel everyone smelling her heart pumping through her veins, and their lips arching in disgust at the smell of her dirt filled soul. So many secrets and conceptual thoughts left her looking just as suspicious, no doubt.
Especially today.

Why would a foreign woman, with an accent thicker than blood, be wandering the proving grounds? She had no means there, no students, no connection to anyone. So why was she there? Well, I guess you won't be finding out any time soon.

Walking with her head high, she moved carefully around the people, her eyes direct on a student on the field. He looked as though he was doing some strange dance--unlike the other children who were dueling with one another. And as she neared, he saw that he was also wearing a strange costume (or so she thought, not assuming that the feline features were actually a part of him). What a strange boy, her lips held back a smirk, but in reality she found it all amusing. Almost silly, if anything.

Approaching the field, she made her way to stand beside a woman, who was also strangely dressed. Was today a weird holiday of some sort that Kurai did not understand? She stood beside her, silent for the longest time as she watched before looking towards the woman, her golden eyes twinkling slightly as she brushed that ruby red hair from her pale face, "Do your people always do this sort of thing?"

Her accent was heavy, almost not understandable to most. She gave her best effort to speak the common language of Iwa, but sometimes people talked too fast or too educated for her to keep up. She was an average looking woman, about 5'6" in height, with glistening white skin, and piercing eyes. To be honest, she was pretty, but nothing spectacular. The only reason anyone would pick her out of a crowd would be the bright head of red she had.

The pink haired gypsy noticed the woman’s approach despite the blindfold covering her eyes. Such are the gifts of the Hashigaki. To see with one’s ears; every breath, every heartbeat, every movement would create vibrations in the air. Kitsune could sense these vibrations and translate them into images. She might not be able to hear colors like the woman’s red hair, but she could pick out shapes as clearly as with her eyes. Even objects that were stationary could be seen as sound waves bounce off their surface.

The woman asks Kitsune a question which caused her to give out a small laugh. “No most of those my clan trains strictly on the illusionary arts. Though we do have a few that practice the art of hand to hand combat.” What a person trains depend of the deity they are trying to appease. The gypsy clan has three goddesses Luna, Tia and Terra. Luna is the goddess of the moon and governs the night; she is also known as the weaver of dreams. Those who follow Luna’s teachings practice the art of illusion. Tia is the goddess of the sun and governs the day; she is also known as the great protector. Those who follow Tia train in the art of melee combat. Terra is the goddess of the earth and she governs the underworld; she is also known as the guardian of the river of light. Those who follow her practice scribing seals of power and resurrecting the dead. Followers of Terra are extremely rare due to their practices being considered dark to most cultures.

Meanwhile Yume was taking quite a beating. He started off well, but the moment he left his guard down the illusion creation started attacking at full force thus putting Yume on the defensive. Seeing her adopted brother in such condition she takes out her violin from a nearby case. The stringed instrument looked the made by a dark shade of glass. It was black but somewhat transparent and within the glass were spots of glitter the sparkled in the light. It was as if she took the night sky and fashioned it into a violin. As Kitsune bring her bow to glide across the strings she plays the song jutsu Fevre De Pitch through the instrument, thus returning Yume a bit of his health. The melody was had a fast pace and had an invigorating effect on all who heard it. Yume began fighting to the tune of the song attacking his opponent with every beat. Now with his quick footstep it looks like he was dancing.

As Kitsune continues to play her song she casts a jutsu on the woman allowing her to see the being Yume was fighting. Now the Night Mare illusion did not take the form of a horse. No Kitsune was far too skilled to stick with the jutsu’s original form. The entity Yume was fight was none other than Tia herself. Tia was like a knight in shining armor. Golden plates clothed her form from head to toe. The suit was polished to perfection so much so that it shown in the rays of the morning light giving her a majestic aura about her. Despite the beauty there were some imperfections that marred her precious suit. Dents, nicks and cuts littered its surface as evidence of the many battles she has fought over the many centuries of her existence. Evil seemed to have never slept and she must remain always diligent. However, even with these imperfections the suit still serves its purpose. In her hands she holds a mighty sword that could slay even the strongest of mortals with ease. Down the center of the claymore kanji was inscribed and it read: ‘No evil shall escape my light.’ It was a warning to her enemies and a promise to her children. It was a double edge sword, however like the words it was sharp enough to strike fear into her foes with a single thrust but heavy as the promise is difficult to bear. Even as a goddess she finds the promise threatening to crush her under its weight. Tia had wings like an angel and when she was first summoned into being she had them stretched out wide and they looked to be like veils of pure fire. Plumage of red, orange and yellow adorn her wings. The feathers shimmered in the light like a flickering flame. Her feathers were unique, though they looked like a birds upon closer inspection one would see not tiny little hairs sprouting from the stem but scales like that of a reptile. The scales were light but durable and were in a sense the armor to her wings. Her wings were the shield to her sword. They were a shield that she can use to not only protect herself from danger, but those she held under her wing as well. Now as she fights Yume before Kurai tall and proud, she has her wings folded into what looks to be a long flowing feathery cape. The wings however were not her only animalistic appendage she possessed. Around her legs a crimson tail lightly wraps. The tail was serpentine with yellow and orange fur stemming from its tip like a fine paintbrush. Its scales were like that of her wings.

Now with the woman seeing both combatants, she can see the battle in its full glory. She can watch as Yuma dodges the swings of the sword and counter attacks with strikes to the head, arms and legs. After so many hits Tia has had enough, unfold her wings and soars up into the sky. With her sword positioned ready to she dives down for an attack like a hawk and swoops back into the air. Yume was just barely able to dodge the attack. It was obvious that this was a whole new game and Yume will have to adapt if he wanted to win.
