Sages are known to be the most knowledgeable and skillful shinobi in the arts of jutsu, having spent years to discover and unlock the secrets of the shinobi world to the point they were revered as gods of war in the battlefield in many historical wars, but like many men, there are those who went down a different path. Possessing an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, these Dark Sages left behind their moral compass and wandered into the realm where laws and rules were mere words, seeking out the most inhumane and forbidden secrets the shinobi world has to offer without a second thought of the consequences nor their well-being. A Dark Sage can toy with the aspects of life and death as they see fit. It is wise to run away when the stench of rotting corpse fills the air and a face of a departed is within one's sight as a Dark Sage is never that far nor do they fail to snatch a living soul from a fresh body.

Prerequisites: Kinjutsu Application, B-Rank, 3 Ability Slots

Effects:
- Scribing a Cursed Seal on someone adds a (DS) Tag to the Cursed Seal Ability. Cursed Seal (DS) prevents any Recovery Time on the player after using the Cursed Seal in battle.
  • If the user scribes someone who already has a Cursed Seal Ability, this will simply add a (DS) Tag to their Cursed Seal Ability and will re-apply the normal Recovery Time.
- The user gains +10% Damage and +2 Awareness against targets whose health are below 30%.
- The user now has +1 towards their limit of active Creation in battle.
- The user now has a Corrupted Energy Pool that has a base amount equal to 30% of the user's Chakra. The user may cast Jutsus and Dark Sage Techniques using their Corrupted Energy as normal.
  • User cannot partially use a portion of Corrupted Energy in combination to the normal Chakra Cost. They must use Corrupted Energy as the full cost instead, applying to both initial and maintenance cost.
  • Techniques and Jutsus used with Corrupted Energy are treated as Cursed and gains +10% Damage.
  • In addition, Creation Jutsus used with Corrupted Energy are not affected by any effects that would automatically destroy or do more damage against them, but causes any effects that would restore Health to them to deal damage instead. This also grants the Creation +10% increase to their Base Health. Additional Health does not apply to Earthbounds from Impure World Resurrection.
  • There is no limit on the amount of Corrupted Energy they can gain through battle.
  • Corrupted Energy cannot be affected by Chakra Increasing/Decreasing Effects and Bonuses. The Corrupted Energy Pool may not be affected in anyway possible.
Note(s):
- If the user has the Senju Bloodline then Dark Sage replaces the effects of the user's Sage Arts Prodigy passive ability. The user can still cast their Wood Ninjutsu and Senju Bloodline techniques using their Corrupted Energy pool and any effects within the Senju Bloodline which would normally interact with the Corrupted Energy pool granted by Sage Arts Prodigy instead interact with the pool granted by Dark Sage. Wood Ninjutsu and Senju Bloodline Jutsu which are cast using Dark Energy are still considered Cursed.

Dark Invitation- Kinjutsu Ability

Having been exposed to death multiple times, if a living soul is within the presence of a Dark Sage, one can be easily compare the experience to being close to death. Those who even try to get close to a Dark Sage can feel their own soul fleeing away from their body. This very trait is what fuels the life force of the Dark Sage, slowly feeding off the vitality of those around them and brings them closer to an actual death.

Information
Prerequisites: Dark Sage

Effect: Each round, a Ninjutsu Check is made against all participants in battle. If a target fails this check, they lose 4% of their current Health and the user recovers Health and gain Corrupted Energy equal to the amount of Health lost by the target(s).

Note:
- Treated as a Passive Heal and may not recover more than 15% of the user's maximum Health each round.
- Health lost from Dark Invitation cannot be blocked, reduced, re-directed, etc.

Soul Harvest - Kinjutsu Ability

Perhaps one of the most feared techniques of a Dark Sage is their ability to bind a soul to a body, may that soul be living or long passed away, they can infuse empty bodies with these souls in which the body transforms to that of the soul's original body, retaining all their memories and abilities. Locked to the will of the Dark Sage, these once glorified shinobi are now disposable soldiers, following any orders given to them, sacrificing their earthbound bodies all for the sake of victory.

Information
Prerequisites Dark Sage

Effect: Each time a Creation is destroyed in battle, the user regains 20% of its maximum Health as Corrupted Energy.

Soul Creation: User may obtain a Soul using a 1,500 Word RP about gaining the Soul and may be linked to the user's normal RP Threads. The user may only have up to 3 Souls at a time.
  • Each Soul possesses a full Bloodline or Core Ability and may not have one of the same Bloodline or Core Ability.
  • Created Soul possesses 1 Major Affinity and 1 Minor Affinity as well as 1 Advanced Element. The Advanced Element known by the created Soul must correspond with the Major and Minor Affinities that it possesses (I.E. if the Soul has Major Fire and Minor Water it must possess Shadow Element).
  • Each Soul may have up to 7 Abilities but cannot obtain a Kinjutsu nor Cursed Seal.
  • Each Soul must have a Custom Class of its own; possessing 1 Stat in High, 2 in Low and all Average. They also have 50 Modifiers to distribute between their HP and CP, neither may go below 20.
  • Souls must spend 50 Jutsu Points worth of jutsu. Each OOC Rank of jutsu has it's own cost (listed below). The created Soul knows these jutsu at Rank 1 normally but the user may pay 1 additional Jutsu Point to have it known at Master Rank. Selected jutsu do not need to be known or usable by the user but the user must buy the jutsu known by their Soul as normal. Jutsu known by the created Soul ignore any "Mastered jutsu" pre-requisities and ignore casting requirements (except for Advance Elements in which a Soul must possess in order to use or cast it).
    • E-Rank: 2 Points
    • D-Rank: 3 Points
    • C-Rank: 4 Points
    • B-Rank: 5 Points
    • A-Rank: 6 Points
Notes:
- Does not apply to Creations whose maintenance has been dropped or forcible stopped. The user only regains Corrupted Energy if the Creation is completed destroyed.
- Soul Creation must be approved by the player's respective Council.

Corpse Soil - B-Rank Ninjutsu

In the eyes of a Dark Sage, the world around him is but a large graveyard. Everywhere is littered with corpses, may the terrain be covered in rocks, sand or ice. A Dark Sage can accurately sense the presence of death around them, regardless of the time that has passed and with their dark knowledge and formidable power, can raise these shambling corpses in great numbers to overwhelm the living in a blink of an eye.

Information
Prerequisites: Dark Sage, B-Rank

Rank 1: Raises up to 4 Zombies, each possessing 650 + (5% of their current Corrupted Energy) Health and 2 AP. May only perform Basic Strikes.
Mastered: Raises up to 5 Zombies, each possessing 650 + (8% of their current Corrupted Energy) Health and 2 AP. Grants access to Impure World Resurrection.

Special Action - Grasp of the Unliving: Must be perform at the time of casting Corpse Soil. The user may choose to target a number of participants in battle equal to the number of Zombies to be created. A Stealth Check is made against this target and if successful, binds the target with a Zombie, preventing them from moving. Failed checks against the target or if a target breaks free from a Zombie immediately destroys the Zombie. 1 Zombie may only be assigned to a target at the time of casting Grasp of the Unliving.

Special Action - Impure World Resurrection: While Corpse Soil is active, the user may infuse a Zombie with one of their Soul from Soul Harvest and converting the Zombie into an Earthbound. The Earthbound now follows all stats associated to it upon creation and has 1 + (1/4th) of the user's AP. An Earthbound cannot perform any actions the round it is summoned.

Rank 1 Cost: 2.5 AP, 800 Chakra and 400 Chakra per round.
Master Rank Cost: 2.5 AP, 1000 Chakra and 500 Chakra per round.

Impure World Resurrection Cost: 2 AP, 2000 Corrupted Energy

Note:
- If a Zombie is destroyed, it will be revived on the following round. Up to 3 Zombies may be revived this way with every usage of Corpse Soil.
- Zombies has -3 Secondaries of the user and may be used for Body Switch or other Activated Auto-Dodge that requires a target.
- Basic Attacks with the Zombie costs 1 AP, deals 200 damage and uses Melee or Ninjutsu Accuracy. (Accuracy must be declared at the time of cast).
- For Grasp of the Unliving, there is a 25% chance to break free from the Zombie for every 1.5 AP spent. Each failed attempt causes the target to receive 200 damage.
- For Grasp of the Unliving, Zombies acts as Prison Binds and may be destroyed by attacks from outside sources. Any excess damage will attempt to hit the target at -3 Accuracy.
- Earthbound has 75% of the user's Stats.
- If an Earthbound is destroyed in battle, its Soul is returned to the user but may no longer be used for Impure World Resurrection.
- The user may perform Impure World Resurrection once per round and may only have one Earthbound at a time.
- There is a full round cooldown after all of Corpse Soil's Zombies has been destroyed or if the technique has been stopped/dropped. This includes any Earthbound.
- Both Zombies and Earthbounds are treated as single instance of Corpse Soil and are treated as 1 active Creation.

Defiled Touch - B-Rank Ninjutsu

Corrupted beyond recovery, a Dark Sage's own chakra becomes a malicious form with seemingly its own conscience, becoming hostile to those living and with such chakra, a Dark Sage can infuse their own to another, ravaging their body as the malicious chakra devours them from within while the Dark Sage savors from their agony. Although through some means, there are some who find the Dark Sage's chakra to be in favor, relishing in its power while it slowly eats them away.

Information
Prerequisites Dark Sage, B-Rank

Rank 1: Attempts to infuse a target with the user's own chakra at -2 Accuracy. If successful, the target suffers from Corruption for 2 rounds.
Mastered: Attempts to infuse a target with the user's own chakra at -1 Accuracy. If successful, the target suffers from Corruption for 2 rounds.

Special Action - Tainted Touch : The user may choose to perform Defiled Touch on a target's Cursed Seal or Weapon at -3 / -2 Accuracy. Upon successful, applies Corruption to the target's Cursed Seal or Weapon for 2 full rounds.
  • Cursed Seal: Grants a single damage increasing bonus in their Cursed Seal an additional +10%, but prevents the target from deactivating their Cursed Seal while causing them to lose 2 HP Modifier each round as a cost for their Cursed Seal. If there are no bonus that grants damage increase, they gain +5% Damage instead.
  • Weapon: Grants them +10% Damage to all Taijutsus and Basic Strikes done with the weapon, but prevents the target from swapping/dropping their Weapon and any Taijutsu they perform costs them Health instead of Chakra.
Special Action - Soul Infusion: For additional 1 AP, the user may choose to infuse the target instead with a Soul from their Soul Harvest at -4 / -3 Accuracy. Upon successful attempt, a Ninjutsu Check is made and at the start of each round after. If the target fails this check, up to 3 random Abilities that both the Soul and the target possess are disabled for the round. In addition, if the target performs a Mastered Jutsu that the Soul also possesses, the Jutsu becomes Rank 1. If the target resists all Ninjutsu Checks for a full duration, the Soul can no longer be used in Soul Infusion. This may only be performed once per target.

Rank 1 Cost: 2.5 AP and 730 Chakra
Master Rank Cost: 2.5 AP and 860 Chakra

Notes:
- Must use Ninjutsu or Melee Accuracy
- Corruption treats the target as Dark Alignment and causes any form of Healing done to the target to inflict damage instead. In addition, the user to gain Corrupted Energy equal to twice the damage.
  • Jutsus, Techniques or Items that heals for a flat amount are converted to damage. If an effect were to heal the target based on a percentage while they are under the effects of Corruption, it is nullified.
- Tainted Touch can only be performed on a target that is currently equipped with a Weapon or has a Cursed Seal active and may only be performed successfully once per target per battle.

Graveyard Amalgamation - A-Rank Ninjutsu

While Dark Sages prefers to keep their corpses as fresh as possible, they found creative ways to utilize the bones of the dead to their advantage. Mending broken bones and fortifying them with their dark chakra, they can summon a towering behemoth of bones to keep them company in battle. While the bones of the behemoth may not seem intimidating to those skilled in battle, the sheer strength and ability to shrug off even the most strongest of attacks makes it a terrifying enemy in the battlefield.

Information
Prerequisites Dark Sage, A-Rank

Rank 1: Creates a Bone Behemoth with 4750 + (15% of their current Corrupted Energy) Health and 4 AP. The Bone Behemoth starts with 2 stacks Bone Layer. If the Bone Behemoth were to receive damage that would deal more than 10% of its maximum Health, a stack of Bone Layer is removed and the damage is halved.
Mastered: Creates a Bone Behemoth with 5940 + (15% of their current Corrupted Energy) Health and 4 AP. The Bone Behemoth starts with 3 stacks Bone Layer. If the Bone Behemoth were to receive damage that would deal more than 10% of its maximum Health, a stack of Bone Layer is removed and the damage is halved.

Bone Behemoth Actions:
  • Grave Stomp - For 2 AP, the Bone Behemoth deals 1545 / 1930 damage to up to 3 targets at -2 Accuracy.
  • Skeleton Fort - For 4 AP and 20% of its maintenance cost, the Bone Behemoth will reflexively protect the user for the full round, re-directing all attacks aimed at the user to the Bone Behemoth. The Bone Behemoth cannot dodge during the round this is used. This may only be used once every other round.
  • Collapse - For 0 AP, the Bone Behemoth dismantles itself in an attempt to crush a target beneath it at -3 Accuracy. If hit, the target receives damage equal to the Bone Behemoth's remaining Health, increased by 10% for every remaining stack of Bone Layer as well as binding the target for a full round. This is considered destroying the Bone Behemoth for the purpose of Soul Harvest.
Rank 1 Cost: 3 AP, 2420 Corrupted Energy and 1210 Corrupted Energy per round.
Master Rank Cost: 3 AP, 3025 Corrupted Energy and 1510 Corrupted Energy per round.

Note:
- The Graveyard Amalgamation has -2 Secondaries of the user.
- While Skeleton Fort is active, the Bone Behemoth acts as a Barrier (but does not apply any Barrier rules, effects and bonuses) and causes any attacks coming from both inside and outside to deal damage to the Bone Behemoth.
- Skeleton Fort is modded as costing 0 AP in terms of time spent.
- If the target is bound by Collapse, the target cannot attempt to escape from this bind any attempts will automatically fail. Any attacks targeting the bound target will free the target and causes the target to suffer a -3 Dodge / D.C against it.
- Has two full round cooldowns after this technique has ended.
- Treated as a Creation.

Reaper's Court - S-Rank Ninjutsu

A forbidden technique that was kept secret for time unknown, only to be learned by those who are willing to face the cost of such knowledge. A Dark Sage is first and foremost a master of mortality but the most fearsome technique in their arsenal is one which subjugates a being of death itself; a shinigami. Temporarily binding a shinigami to their will the Dark Sage commands the deathly creature to preside and instill death itself to those around it. Such creatures can only be bound for so long and who knows what dire fate awaits Sages that dare to put a leash on death itself might suffer in the afterlife as a consequence...

Prerequisites S-Rank, All Dark Sage Techniques Mastered

Mastered: Attempts to trap all participants in Reaper's Court at -3 Accuracy. Trapped targets other than the user and his allies automatically suffer from the effects of Dark Invitation without requiring a Ninjutsu Check each round and causes targets who are under the effects of Corruption to take x1.2 more damage and the debuff lasts until the end of Reaper's Court.

Cost: 4.5 AP, 3800 Corrupted Energy and 6% of the user's maximum Health each round to maintain

Note:
- Uses Ninjutsu Accuracy.
- Lasts for a maximum of three rounds or if there is no other target other than the user within the Reaper's Court.
- The user is automatically inside the Reaper's Court upon cast.
- Targets outside of the Reaper's Court and allies are still subject to Dark Invitation while Reaper's Court is active but a Ninjutsu Check is required to affect them.
- The Reaper's Court acts as an Arena and prevents any form of interaction from those within and outside. Targets may attempt to enter or escape for 2 AP. This action has a 15% chance of success which increases by 5% for each failed attempt.
- Each time a target fails the check to enter or escape the Reaper's Court they must make a check against Dark Invitation with the user having +1 to their's. The user may not able to attempt to leave Reaper's Court.
- May only be used once successfully per battle.

A Dark Sage can accurately sense the presence of death around them, regardless of the time that has passed and with their dark knowledge and formidable power, can raise these shambling corpses in great numbers to overwhelm the living in a blink of an eye.

[b]Rank 1:[/b] Raises up to 4 Zombies, each possessing 650 + ([color=purple]5% of their current Corrupted Energy[/color]) Health and 2 AP. May only perform Basic Strikes.
[b]Mastered:[/b] Raises up to 5 Zombies, each possessing 650 + ([color=purple]8% of their current Corrupted Energy[/color]) Health and 2 AP. Grants access to [i]Impure World Resurrection[/i].

[b]Special Action[/b] - [i]Grasp of the Unliving:[/i] Must be perform at the time of casting [i]Corpse Soil[/i]. The user may choose to target a number of participants in battle equal to the number of Zombies to be created. A Stealth Check is made against this target and if successful, binds the target with a Zombie, preventing them from moving. Failed checks against the target or if a target breaks free from a Zombie immediately destroys the Zombie. 1 Zombie may only be assigned to a target at the time of casting [i]Grasp of the Unliving[/i].

[b]Special Action[/b] - [i]Impure World Resurrection:[/i] While Corpse Soil is active, the user may infuse a Zombie with one of their [i]Soul[/i] from [i]Soul Harvest[/i] and converting the Zombie into an [i]Earthbound[/i]. The [i]Earthbound[/i] now follows all stats associated to it upon creation and has 1 + (1/4th) of the user's AP. An [i]Earthbound[/i] cannot perform any actions the round it is summoned.

- Basic Attacks with the Zombie costs 1 AP, deals 200 damage and uses Melee or Ninjutsu Accuracy. (Accuracy must be declared at the time of cast).
- For [i]Grasp of the Unliving[/i], there is a 25% chance to break free from the Zombie for every 1.5 AP spent. Each failed attempt causes the target to receive 200 damage.
- For [i]Grasp of the Unliving[/i], Zombies acts as Prison Binds and may be destroyed by attacks from outside sources. Any excess damage will attempt to hit the target at -3 Accuracy.
- [i]Earthbound[/i] has 75% of the user's Stats.
- If an [i]Earthbound[/i] is destroyed in battle, its [i]Soul[/i] is returned to the user but may no longer be used for [i]Impure World Resurrection[/i].
- The user may perform [i]Impure World Resurrection[/i] once per round and may only have one [i]Earthbound[/i] at a time.
- There is a full round cooldown after all of [i]Corpse Soil[/i]'s Zombies has been destroyed or if the technique has been stopped/dropped. This includes any [i]Earthbound[/i].

Corrupted beyond recovery, a Dark Sage's own chakra becomes a malicious form with seemingly its own conscience, becoming hostile to those living and with such chakra, a Dark Sage can infuse their own to another, ravaging their body as the malicious chakra devours them from within while the Dark Sage savors from their agony. Although through some means, there are some who find the Dark Sage's chakra to be in favor, relishing in its power while it slowly eats them away.

[*] [b]Cursed Seal[/b]: Grants a single damage increasing bonus in their Cursed Seal an additional +10%, but prevents the target from deactivating their Cursed Seal while causing them to lose 2 HP Modifier each round as a cost for their Cursed Seal. If the target fails this check, up to 3 random Abilities that both the [i]Soul[/i] and the target possess are disabled for the round. If the target resists all Ninjutsu Checks for a full duration, the [i]Soul[/i] can no longer be used in [i]Soul Infusion[/i]. This may only be performed once per target.

While Dark Sages prefers to keep their corpses as fresh as possible, they found creative ways to utilize the bones of the dead to their advantage. Mending broken bones and fortifying them with their dark chakra, they can summon a towering behemoth of bones to keep them company in battle. While the bones of the behemoth may not seem intimidating to those skilled in battle, the sheer strength and ability to shrug off even the most strongest of attacks makes it a terrifying enemy in the battlefield.

This is considered destroying the [i]Bone Behemoth[/i] for the purpose of [i]Soul Harvest[/i].[/list]

A Dark Sage is first and foremost a master of mortality but the most fearsome technique in their arsenal is one which subjugates a being of death itself; a shinigami.  Temporarily binding a shinigami to their will the Dark Sage commands the deathly creature to preside and instill death itself to those around it.  Such creatures can only be bound for so long and who knows what dire fate awaits Sages that dare to put a leash on death itself might suffer in the afterlife as a consequence...

[b]Prerequisites[/b] S-Rank, All Dark Sage Techniques Mastered

[b]Mastered:[/b] Attempts to trap all participants in [i]Reaper's Court[/i] at -3 Accuracy. Trapped targets other than the user and his allies automatically suffer from the effects of [i]Dark Invitation[/i] without requiring a Ninjutsu Check each round and causes targets who are under the effects of [i]Corruption[/i] to take x1.2 more damage and the debuff lasts until the end of [i]Reaper's Court[/i].

[b]Cost:[/b] 4.5 AP, 3800 [color=purple][i]Corrupted Energy[/i][/color] and 6% of the user's maximum Health each round to maintain

[i]Note:[/i]
- Uses Ninjutsu Accuracy.
- Lasts for a maximum of three rounds or if there is no other target other than the user within the [i]Reaper's Court[/i].
- The user is automatically inside the [i]Reaper's Court[/i] upon cast.
- Targets outside of the [i]Reaper's Court[/i] and allies are still subject to [i]Dark Invitation[/i] while [i]Reaper's Court[/i] is active but a Ninjutsu Check is required to affect them.
- The [i]Reaper's Court[/i] acts as an [i]Arena[/i] and prevents any form of interaction from those within and outside. Targets may attempt to enter or escape for 2 AP.  This action has a 15% chance of success which increases by 5% for each failed attempt.
- Each time a target fails the check to enter or escape the [i]Reaper's Court[/i] they must make a check against [i]Dark Invitation[/i] with the user having +1 to their's. The user may not able to attempt to leave [i]Reaper's Court[/i].
