Normally the blistering heat would draw out any of the moisture it could, particularly from a foolish individual who would stupidly walk directly through the seering desert, a place even the local wildlife found inhospitable.
If the heat was disturbing this strange person, he gave no indication of it. Dressed in what appeared to be a well-made but worn brown robe, covering his head and face from the relentless sand storm, Migoya would simply walk forward through the desert landscape, one step at a time as if he was enjoying the experience.
The fact was, he was.
Something always stirred in his cold, dead heart when he reached the Land of Wind. Memories of better times, albeit wether they were true or not, came to him freely. Stories of Primus and Secondus, of old friends, of sandworms.
But now he was here for a couple of reasons. First, to check on his niece, second to touch base with the devil, and third…. Well, that would be telling.
