Let's be honest, Okibi was rather excited from the initial expression that she gave off when the baby sandworm made its appearance. It was amusing, and sort of comforting, although distracting given the dire circumstances that now presented itself before the two shinobi of Sand. "Yeah, it is..." He would retort to the girl as she stated about the sandworm being real, which was rather odd to state so obviously. Had she been misled previously into believing that her eyes had seen a 'real' sandworm but were only deceived. And it was at that point that Okibi moved away from the direct line of attack, positioning herself on a vantage point. Which was a really wise move given the destructive force the baby creature actually held within its tortured and scarred body. "Hold it down?!" Ikka would exclaim as he pulled one foot back and stood in a hesitant, yet offensive-looking stance.
"I'll try and constrict its movements but I doubt it'll last for very long, Okibi!" He would state as the beast thrashed its tail and snarled; revealing its crooked, yet white teeth for all to see. Ikkadan would feel the sand jitter and shake upon the surface - even the ground was afraid of this beast, whom was fueled by fear and an electric motivation to kill. And it was at that moment that everything seemed a little more clearer, and for some reason it had taken Ikka all this time to reason the collar around the sandworm's neck, so that answered his question of Okibi's movement. Yes, he was a little slow!
"Right, Okibi, lets do this!" Ikka would push forward his hands and allow his forearms to criss-cross for the duration of that stance.
Ikkadan focused his energy, his life-blood, into this next attack. He would almost erupt with chakra for a brief moment, something that all shinobi would be capable of if they really pushed themselves to defend their friends, family and students respectively. And with this massive collection of chakra, the ground would shift and shake and the ground would erupt with a blossom of bloomed bubs. However, these bubs would only be the start of what was to come: as fully grown trees would emerge from the sands, adorning beautiful flowers with radiant colours. Oh, that clearly looked exhausting as the sweat fell from his brow. "Gaia's Wrath!" He exclaimed as the branches from the nearby trees would extend, with a snapping and groaning noise, allowing themselves to curdle around the sandworm; effectively restraining it.
However, the baby was constantly being zapped and that only tested its patience, which really made snapping the branches somewhat easy. Thankfully Ikka was able to concentrate to the point where he could continually restrain the creature - albeit with some difficulty.
"Free it, Okibi!" He would scream resting the last leg of this race on his powerful new friend.
