Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Let's be honest, Okibi was rather excited from the initial expression that she gave off when the baby sandworm made its appearance. It was amusing, and sort of comforting, although distracting given the dire circumstances that now presented itself before the two shinobi of Sand. "Yeah, it is..." He would retort to the girl as she stated about the sandworm being real, which was rather odd to state so obviously. Had she been misled previously into believing that her eyes had seen a 'real' sandworm but were only deceived. And it was at that point that Okibi moved away from the direct line of attack, positioning herself on a vantage point. Which was a really wise move given the destructive force the baby creature actually held within its tortured and scarred body. "Hold it down?!" Ikka would exclaim as he pulled one foot back and stood in a hesitant, yet offensive-looking stance.

"I'll try and constrict its movements but I doubt it'll last for very long, Okibi!" He would state as the beast thrashed its tail and snarled; revealing its crooked, yet white teeth for all to see. Ikkadan would feel the sand jitter and shake upon the surface - even the ground was afraid of this beast, whom was fueled by fear and an electric motivation to kill. And it was at that moment that everything seemed a little more clearer, and for some reason it had taken Ikka all this time to reason the collar around the sandworm's neck, so that answered his question of Okibi's movement. Yes, he was a little slow!

"Right, Okibi, lets do this!" Ikka would push forward his hands and allow his forearms to criss-cross for the duration of that stance.

Ikkadan focused his energy, his life-blood, into this next attack. He would almost erupt with chakra for a brief moment, something that all shinobi would be capable of if they really pushed themselves to defend their friends, family and students respectively. And with this massive collection of chakra, the ground would shift and shake and the ground would erupt with a blossom of bloomed bubs. However, these bubs would only be the start of what was to come: as fully grown trees would emerge from the sands, adorning beautiful flowers with radiant colours. Oh, that clearly looked exhausting as the sweat fell from his brow. "Gaia's Wrath!" He exclaimed as the branches from the nearby trees would extend, with a snapping and groaning noise, allowing themselves to curdle around the sandworm; effectively restraining it.

However, the baby was constantly being zapped and that only tested its patience, which really made snapping the branches somewhat easy. Thankfully Ikka was able to concentrate to the point where he could continually restrain the creature - albeit with some difficulty.

"Free it, Okibi!" He would scream resting the last leg of this race on his powerful new friend.

Okibi didnt pay more than half a mind to Ikkadan's insecurities. All she needed was a few seconds, and she was confident in his ability to do at least that much. He'd been able to make that marvelous dome just before, surely he could hold down a baby sandworm long enough for her to do what she planned. So Okibi waited for her cue, paper fuuma in hand.

And then it came! Okibi didnt need to look back to know that Ikkadan was doing that weird arm thing, but she could clearly hear him yell "Gaia's Wrath". She didnt know who this Gaia person was, but clearly they were very wrathful, if the amount of tree producing flowers that sprouted from the ground were an indication. Their branches reached out for the worm, ensnaring it just as Okibi hoped. The girl didnt waste any time, and jumped from the roof of the ruined building and onto the sandworms back. She scaled its height, using the breaking branches as leverage to propel herself. When she reached the sandworms 'neck', it was nearly free, and she didnt have much time left. Not knowing what else to do, she dug the claws of her left hand into the worms hide, and wasnt surprised when it didnt seem to notice. It was such a large creature after all, such a move probably felt like no more than an ant bite to it.

'I hope this works!' Okibi prayed mentally, before swinging the folded fuuma up, and then slashing it in a downwards arch. The paper weapon indeed sliced through the wires of the collar, severing it from the worms form. The fuuma, however, didnt get away without being damaged. It seemed that although the fortified paper could hold up to the electricity of the shock collar, it wasnt going to last much longer. The paper was starting to fall apart, though it still mostly kept its shape. She could perhaps use it for one more go.

Leaping away from the now free sandworm, Okibi turned midair and scanned the arena for Seven and the Alpha wolf. She spotted them on the other side of the black sand, still going at it. Seven was bleeding heavily, but so was the wolf. "Seven! Turn him this way and hold him still!" Okibi howled, still falling through the air.

Seven heard his humans call, and immediately did as she said. He batted at the wolf with one of his large paws to disorient him before clamping down on one of his shoulders with his large teeth. Unfortunately, doing this meant that he'd gotten some of the shock collar into his mouth, and received a full body jolt for his trouble. Thankfully, the jolt didnt only affect him, but also temporarily immobilized the wolf. Digging deep for some resilience, Seven only barely manage to turn the wolf just enough before the paper fuuma came whizzing by, slicing off the wolfs collar and taking the rest of the shock with it. The weapon then dissolved, having taken all the electricity it could.

Seven pulled the now useless collar from the wolf neck and spat it onto the ground. The animal fell to the ground, going unconscious due to his injuries and overexertion from the collar. Seven turned around, panting as blood dripped from numerous new wounds that would surely add to his scar count later. His red eyes bugged at the site of the freed sandworm. Just what had he missed while being engaged with the alpha?

Okibi placed her hands on her hips proudly, turning to look at Ikkadan. "Now what!?" She asked. Theyd freed the beasts, beaten the thugs (for the most part as it seemed the worm took care of the rest) so...

Ikkadan released his stance as the attack became notably successful, and clearly the creature would have been pleased to be free from the grasp of humanity. Without wasting a second of its freedom, the sandworm would drill itself into the black sands (being released almost immediately by Ikkadan), which would allow itself to scurry away back to find its mother. After all, it was only a baby and all children needed their parents. Ikkadan would fall to his knees, somewhat exasperated from the over-use of his chakra. It would take him a few moments to catch his breath but not before the more worrying fact remained: they were still stranded in this pit that may become their graves. Although Ikkadan would rather give up his limbs before allowing either Seven or Okibi to perish at the hands of such low lives.

"Damn it," He would exclaim as he tried to move but due to the build up of lactic acid within his muscles, this proved quite painful and stiff, "Okibi... Seven..." He would sway somewhat carelessly as he tried to fight the sleep that rubbed his temples, that tried to close his eyes.

Ikkadan would then forcibly open his eyes, or rather pry them away from the grasp of unconsciousness, for that was not a good idea at this point. And it was made worse due to the ever-growing roar of the spectators, whom were fashionably chanting away for more blood to be shed. It was a disgusting sight that only put a negative spin on the 'special' quality of humanity that so many moan about. However, these people had really lost their humanity and were only concerned by themselves and not by those around them. An inaudible voice would break through the hellishly loud crowds, only to mumble something about 'releasing' something.

And at that moment, Ikkadan would find the strength to keep on going. The rumble upon the surface of the sand would be quite noticeable for anybody in the pit. And for Seven, Okibi and the wolves alike their noses would sense something quite vile approaching. However, Ikkadan would explode into a large cloud of paper; fluttering with speed over to Seven, Okibi and the other wolves. Amalgamation of paper, forming arms, would reach down above their respective target and latch on with a firm grip. And with that, the paper formations would lift each girl, and wold alike, taking them into the darkness of the tunnels ahead. It didn't take very long for the paper formations to locate the gaping hole, from where they previously fell, and exit.

Tossing the pile of dogs to one side of the room (Who were readily asleep) along with their alpha wolf, who would need medical attention. Seven would also require attention.

As everyone lay against the floorboard of the ruined down pub, Ikkadan would reform; pressed against the wall gasping for air, quite comically. "So, effing, tired!"

Okibi and Seven looked up as their 'audience' started to hiss and boo, apparently not pleased. Not enough blood for their tastes? It seemed so. Seven growled menacingly, even as he was bleeding out of various large wounds. "They're less like humans and more like vultures." He commented out loud. If there was anything that Seven openly disliked, it was cruel humans. And this lot was nothing if not cruel.

Okibi nodded her head in agreement with him, glaring daggers at the unseen crowd.

Suddenly, a rumbling caused the audience to quiet down, and Okibi turned to look at Ikkadan. He was having a noticeably difficult time staying upright, but before she could offer her help, a rank stench hit her in the nose. She covered it quickly and backpedaled, as though it would get her away from the smell. She had no idea what could create such a bad smell, but it couldnt have been anything friendly. There was an underlying malice beneath the horrible stink.

Thankfully, they were saved by more wings, although this time they came attached to full paper bodies (I think?). Okibi looked around and saw that the paper was grabbing Seven as well as the pack of wolves, but she saw no Ikkadan. She started to panic, thinking that her new friend had been left behind. When they were flown through a dark hole and deposited in the room above the pit, Okibi nearly jumped right back down into it, stopped only by Sevens teeth which latched onto her arm. "Let go!" She barked.

Seven growled at her, apparently saying something to her that only she could understand. Immediately, Okibi calmed and looked behind them, just in time to see Ikkadan's shape emerged from the amassing paper. Somehow, she'd completely missed the boys scent on the bits of parchment.

Without any warning, Okibi wrenched herself from Seven's hold - he readily let go as not to hurt her - and charged at the brown haired boy. Being a little clueless as to how tired and sore he was, she launched herself into his abdomen, wrapping her arms around him painfully tight. "Ikki is ok." She murmured into his chest. With a sudden start, she looked up at him, worried. "Ikki is ok right?" She glanced at his shoulder, the one that'd been bitten.

As the reformed Ikkadan rested on the floorboards now, he really didn't expect the adorable Okibi to worry so much for his safety. She launched herself towards his abdomain and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Okibi..." He spoke softly as her head rested against his chest, and for a moment, everything was perfect. Ikka would then place his hand on her head and smile, pulling back so that she could see his expression, which was one of utter joy. "I'm great!" He would laugh, but this only laughing for a short moment, because the rest of their party was injured and looking to be in a dire spot of trouble.

The Chuunin may only be suffering from an infection, due to the bite, but Seven and the Alpha wolf were in a lot more trouble. Immediately, Ikkadan would launch a sliver of paper from his hand; which would then be passed on to one of two papers. The first location where the silver arrived at was a veterinary hospital, the slither would almost spew out words onto their receptionist's paperwork, reforming printed words into a meaningful call for help. And after that was accomplished, and a force was assembled, the slither would travel to the Tower - which was effectively the human hospital.

It really didn't take long for either party to arrive, actually. The vets came first, and they attended to the majority of the wolves on-scene. However, it would be up to the capable Seven whether he wanted to be treated on scene and then taken away, or taken away in that instance. Shortly after, a small medical team of in-experienced doctors (whom all looked nervous) would enter the lobby and frat over the two humans. "Okibi, you and Seven did great today..." He would add before the 6-manned team of doctors/trainees took him away on a stretcher, after preying Okibi from his grasp of course.

"I'm putting you forward for the Genin Exam... You did great." Ikka added before disappearing from sight.

Okibi watched with worry as her new friend was wheeled away. The last words he said to her replayed in his mind, and her expression morphed. She went to Seven's side, where he was being treated on the spot by some wary looking nurses. "Heard that? Okibi will take genin exam." She commented. It'd been a while since she had fully learned the nature of the village they lived in, and how the majority of the people in it were employed as ninja. There was a ranking system among them, and genin was the lowest. The starting point.

Seven looked up from the gaping slice that was being sewn up, and gave his girl a tired smile. She'd come out of that pit unharmed, and she earned herself a ticket to an exam. That was just like his human. He leaned forward and licked her cheek affectionately, before wincing a little when another nurse started to clean some of his lesser wounds. "Thats very good. Im sure youll do well, but Ill be there with you of course."

Okibi grinned. "Of course."

Her face fell as she turned and looked behind her, into the room with the falling floor. She glared at the room, thinking to herself, 'We'll come back here one day, and show this dirty humans what they got coming to them.'

Seven was starting to get up just then and Okibi turned back around. It was time to go it seemed. One of the nurses protested, insisting that they go to the hospital for further treatment. Seven refused kindly, saying that so long as the bleeding was stopped, he would be fine.

Okibi fell in step beside her limping companion, fully determined to return to the The Lucky Star Inn one day soon.
