Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Earlier that day, a messenger from one of the more prominent clans in Sunagakure had visited the young Master blacksmith's shop and placed an order for a custom-made blade for the leader of his clan. Amy had graciously accepted, and as per the request of the messenger, had closed down her shop to devote her day to the creation of this particular blade.

Covered in a thin layer of sweat, the young girl worked in the steam-filled workshop, hammer falls ringing through the small room and echoing out through the large vent in the ceiling to sound throughout the merchant district. As was her usual work attire, the young girl wore a thin, white tank top and a pair of speed shorts that were mostly hidden beneath the heavy leather apron she wore as well. Her feet were kept safe in a new pair of steel-toed boots she had purchased for herself with the money she had received for her recent birthday. The long red hair that flowed from the top of her head, so much like her mother's had, was braided as it always was into a long plait that hung down her back to touch the top of her thighs.

Raising an arm, she wiped the sweat from her brow before removing the leather gloves from her hands to tear a strip about four inches wide from the bottom of her tank top to tie around her forehead, the sweat was starting to threaten blinding her and sight was much more important that a sweat-soaked tank top that she could replace with a simple trip home.

This particular project was proving a bit more difficult than most due to the need to leave a bit more metal around the hilt and about half of the blade in order to have enough room to engrave the intricate details onto it. The redhead had been working for the better part of the afternoon and most of the morning – having had to re-smelt a few of the blades she had been working on after bringing her hammer down one too many times.

This time she would have it, she knew she would, besides, her stomach was growling and the heat was becoming a bit too much. Finally, with one last resounding ring as her hammer struck the blade, she grinned, raising the half-finished weapon to eye level to inspect it before she began the engraving process. Deciding that it was finally ready for the finishing touches, she turned off the fire chakra crystal in the smelting oven to let the room cool down, leaving the larger one on so that she could heat the blade just enough to be able to engrave it and moved the blade over to where she had her engraving tools.

This process was very tedious, having to concentrate very carefully, and this took a few hours before the engraving work on the hilt was done and she could move onto the kanji that would be set into the blade. This task would be even more tedious, as she would need to solder in a special type of metal that was very sensitive to chakra and would glow when even the slightest bit of chakra was pumped into the weapon. First, she engraved the lettering into the metal, then she brought her soldering tools over to the workstation – after she had already cleaned up her engraving tools of course – and set to work melting the small amounts of chakra-sensitive steel into the small indentations and letting them cool individually before moving onto the next one, this process was the quickest of all, and soon enough the blade was ready for polishing then testing.

Once she had given it a quick sharpening and polished it to a smooth finish, she took it out into her small practice-yard. Once outside, she weighed the blade on the palm of her right hand, checking the balance – which was perfect – and making sure it swung through the air easily. Having put it through her normal round of tests, she went back inside and proceeded to wrap the blade with sturdy brown paper and tied it up with some of her finer silk cord.

Once the blade was ready for transport and presentation, she set out to go home to clean up before heading to the Diamond District for delivery.
