Dead.
Dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead dead.
Kira.
Kira was dead.
The words racked in her brain, echoing and throwing her around. Her eyes were wide as she stared down at the drink as Koton spoke. She felt her nose begin to sting as her eyes start to water as her cheeks flushed and her heart rate increased. Katzumi had made it her one and only job to make sure that kid made it out alive. It was her job to love him, care for him, and show him that not all people of the world were dirty scum.
He had fallen hard for her, but she had just tried to pull him towards her without hurting him--but Ko...she was more aggressive. She had grabbed him by the hair, ripped him around, and demanded his attention. Kat had lost track of him since then...
And now, he was dead.
Katzumi had failed. Tears swelling her eyes as she grabbed her leather jacket, turning from the stool--stumbling over it, and throwing it harshly on the ground in aggressive heartbreak--as she made her way quickly out of the bar. When she had managed to break through the doors and crowds of people: She ran. Oh did she run. She was built like a gazelle: made for speed and pivots. And she ran and ran and ran... She ran until her legs burned, her skin flared, her face flushed as she collapsed on the ground, sitting on the edge of the sidewalk as she screamed out at the top of her lungs, "You had one job!" Her body shook with salty tears as her head collapsed into her knees, her arms hugging them close to her in the middle of the alley. No one was around, and certainly no one to hear her pleas and cries. Her sobs echoing through the deserted and broken down buildings.
