Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It had taken him nearly a day to reach the tribe. Already they had begun to tear down their encampment in preparation to move for the season. A short meeting with the elders, and he was dispatched once again. Moving quickly back to the city. Arriving in the wee hours of the morning, he expected his tribe would be arriving within three days time. Not long if they expected the city to be ready to receive the group of three hundred without incident. Making his way directly to the Kazekage's tower, he was ushered into an audience chamber while an aide went to fetch the steward that held rule over the city. It didn't make much sense to the young priest why the stewards did not just declare themselves as the Kage family. Nor did he care, so long as they honored the pact. To respond in times of need, that was the agreement of their bond. What manner of response, that however was not determined. Kieren could only hope that his people would be given shelter, a tleast until a new land could be surveyed.

The Steward's meeting with various old families had ended. Yes. The old powers had agreed upon the concept of maintaining the status quo. Continue searches on the surface for the Sunahoshi. Nothing else would change. Again Sousuke had successfully evaded having become the Kazekage fully. He would remain the Steward. It was his place. Several members remarked about the slight changes in the Steward. His answers were more complete than usually. They carried with them a certain personality unseen before. Some remarked about the Steward's eyes being different now. One silver, and one gold. They also remarked about the scars forming a cross on the left side of Sousuke's face. Some of them merely ruled it off that that suffering brought out character in the Steward.

Yes. Let them think that. None of them knew that the Steward was a fuller person because he had merged with the Ebon Blade. Excellent work Sousuke. I'm proud of you.<i></i> The shade would speak to him quietly. A small grin would surface on the Steward's face. The grin would stay upon the Steward's face for one minute before vanishing. The reason for that being that a fit of coughing would take over him. Yes. Being on the surface and the exposure there was a problem still. The Steward was still recovering from that.

An attendant would come to the Steward adressing him that he had a visitor. Thus the Steward returned to the Seat of Power. He was still coughing as he entered. He flagged the attendant to go. The Steward caught himself and took a deep breath. "Salutations."<i></i> He would say simply as he was rubbing his chest. Yes that fit of coughing was certainly slowing down any.

Turning at the sound of coughing, the young priest advanced a step towards the steward before dropping to a knee and bowing his head. He had never met the steward before, but he could only assume the person before him was the steward. Kieren wasn't sure why he felt so certain about it. It's not like the man before him carried himself like the ruler of the most powerful village in the desert, or even dressed like one. Still, he was definitely better then the rumors had told him to expect. Lord Steward. I bring greetings from the Elders of the Sythia tribe. Dear goddess this would be embarrassing if it turned out he was kneeling before the wrong person. I come before you Lord Steward to ask you for help on behalf of my people. The time of my people's migration before the sandstorms come is upon us, and sandworms have been discovered in the region we have historically migrated into. I pray you can find the compassion to help see my people through this time bygiving us refuge until a new land can be found where we may thrive. Now he had only to wait and pray that the Mother would hear his plea and touch the Stewards heart to save his people.

A strong metallic hand would help Kieren up. "Rise Kieren of House Sythia. I am no Sunahoshi, merely Guardian Protectorate of the Realm."<i></i> Sousuke would speak at first. From there the politics would begin. This terrible game of titles, and plots. Though to the surprise of the Steward this was a favor not of the usual sort. Takahashi Sousuke was a great listener, and like many times before he did this once more. He listened to the plea. The Steward was silent for a time. Reconstruction of the Hospital was underway and those who were moved from the ruins to the Kazekage Tower, were now moved back to the ongoing building site. "Sandworms you say? It's been an age ... since the days of my Father's childhood, I think. Most troubling indeed that they have taken residence where your clan wished to reside."<i></i> The Steward's held little real estate as it was. They did, however, have the Kazekage tower grounds.

"Your clan always aided my clan, and did that in the days of my father, and his father before him. I too will aid you. We Takahashi do not have vast amounts of land like House Toraono, but I can offer you residence in the Kazekage tower for a time. Should it be too cramped, I am fairly certain House Toraono would aid too in housing your tribe."<i></i> The Steward spoke bluntly, but he was at the very least being honest. The Steward was a man of resources, limited they may be at times, he was most willing to share his resources. In this particular case, the resource being inquired upon was space.

Smiling, the young priest gripped the armored hand of the Steward. Praise the Mother. Thank you. My tribe should be arriving within the next two or so days, I will send a messenger to tell them the good news. Rubbing his hands together, the priest gave a bow before pushing back the hood of his robes. His black hair hung straight around his shoulders. Tucking his hair behind an ear, the priest ran his hand under his chin. How have the rebuilding efforts been going with the Hospital. We received word of the attack and I led a team to provide aid, unfortunately we arrived too late to help beyond some efforts to help with collection of stores and minor construction before needing to return with supplies. Just in time it seems too. My people will be available to help with anything you see fit to ask of us during our stay. Kieren hoped the efforts had proven sucessfull, it wouldn't do to put the extra burden of his tribe onto the village's infrastructure if any part of it remained weakened.

Sousuke nodded his head. "Two days. May they have safe travels. Perhaps I should have my father meet them mid way. I'm certain he would enjoy some time to get caught up with the elders... my mother too for that matter. My mother is a member of house Masashi, but they don't ... quite get along with the main house of House Uchiha."<i></i>

When asked how the rebuilding efforts were going for the hospital, the Steward paused. He was being regularly updated on the subject, but he was at a loss for words for a moment. "It is moving along, but there have been some minor problems. Djinn spawn are still in the area, and they are being dealt with accordingly. There have also been a few other entities who too have been a concern of mine. Those too are being dealt with. Construction hasn't been slowed down. Things are moving along ... appropriately."<i></i> The thought though that the tribes had been dispatched to aid Suna in time of its need was touching. The Steward appreciated it. "So long as trade routes remain open we should be fine. I've been issuing forces out to accompanying these caravans. Nothing of concern there, merely my concern right now is your travelling tribe. The surface as of late has been ... I won't mince words. The surface as of late has been dark and full of terrors. "<i></i>

I am certain they would enjoy that. Nodding, the priest gave a small smile at the mention of trade routes. The chance to return to the wastelands his people called home would be perfect for his people. While we all live in this desert, I am certain my people are a bit more suited to the wastelands then your forces. I would like to offer my rangers to your cause in that matter. We may not have you numbers, but my people are trained for survival and disguise in the desert. We will begin patrols as soon as our people have settled here. With a stationary and secure home, I dare say we should be able to ensure the routes are kept clear in advance of most convoys. I'll have one of my people contact your caravan coordinators when they arrive. Stroking his chin, he considered the problem of the still damaged hospital. A building made largely of sand made stone, it was something he would love to help construct, and there were a small number of his acolytes who shared in his control of sand that would surely agree to help.

Sousuke's dark eyes shifted to a sort of sullen mood. If there was one emotion the Steward was capable of expressing it was discontent. "One of my many flaws - surviving on the surface that is. My extreme hazard-environmental suits only last up to thirty-minutes at maximum potential before being damaged by the diamond sands. I'm no ranger, by any means, and their numbers are few. Like the One King I would gladly accept them into service--"<i></i> Sousuke paused as he proceeded to go into a fit of coughing. He nodded his head at Kieren as he spoke of making arrangements between his tribe and his officials to plan various escorts for caravans.

Sousuke removed his hand from his mouth, as he always covered his ,out when he coughed. There were a few bits of diamond sand in his hands. "I'm still recovering from overexposure on the surface. A bit of a clan secret or biological difference between your clansmen and myself. I am capable of manipulating metals, forging great weapons, but I don't have the capacity to survive the wilds for extended amounts of time."<i></i> Sousuke explained. The sickly leader shook his head."Don't rush your people to the surface, they can take a while to accommodate to their settings here for a time if they need it. I will provide them with tools necessary to aid them in their tasks above."<i></i> Sousuke paused for a moment. He wondered what exactly he could provide these Rangers with to aid them any further? Surely they needed weapons and armour. They could survive the desert on their skills alone, but one could always make good use of effective weapons and armour. Another matter for another time of course. "Well we can take care of that later of course... outfitting them accordingly for the future tasks ahead."<i></i>

A small shrug and the priest gave a little laugh. There's nothing to feel bad about. My family has spent countless generations learning to live outside, and it's not a skill that has come to us cheaply. Giving his neck a crack, the priest closed his eyes. His bloodline was said to be that of the ancient Sunaku, the very bloodline the one king had possessed. This would allow him to sense and manipulate the sands around him. Not normally a useful skill with the abundance of the sands in a desert, yet here, maybe. Reaching out to the sands, he could sense the sands in the kage's lungs. Exposure to certain areas of the deserts sands was always a hazard, and something that his people had long ago adapted to. Still, young children did not possess such adaptations naturally. So specially re-breathers that filtered the air had been designed, which gradually increased the exposure over time. Still, the young priest theorized that with a few modifications, a non-degrading unit could be created. Yes, it could be done. I'm certain we could collaborate to create something that will help your exposure problems. Opening his eyes, he left the sands where they were, the stewards lungs would heal in time, and forcing their removal would only do additional harm.

"We Takahashi used to live on the surface until my father decided to have Suna lowered to the depths. If he didn't ... well we would all be in ruins and bones in the dunes."<i></i> Sousuke would state. "I have only seen the sun a few times, but it's always been an interesting sight. I've seen pictures of it of course, but I'm usually on the surface at night."<i></i> A slight frown would come upon Sousuke's face. "There is beauty in the moon as well. A lot of myths about the relationship between moon and sun. Some call the two lovers, and others think they're rivals. It's all very strange to me... but there is a sort of wonder in the strange isn't there? Speaking of wonders I've heard that along Soon's Sanctuary there is a great vast body of water called the ocean, it is said to stretch on and on. I've never been to Soon's before. I've read about it and the ocean of course."<i></i>

For a time Kieren closed his eyes. Sousuke wondered what he was doing. Was he trying to picture the ocean too? Perhaps, or maybe there was something else on his mind? "My problems of overexposure is more of a medical item. I'm having it treated when I can... which is sometimes a lengthy process, but I would be most agreeable that a colaberation of our two minds would be able to result in something to combat the growing dangers from above."<i></i>
