Clouds cover the sky, heavy and gray, pouring out their contents over the gathered crowd at this small sector of the Aburame Clan's housing. Almost as though the sky is crying along with those in attendance. Kiriyomi stands at the back of the courtyard, his nest of hair plastered to his face. He stares blankly at the family and friends mingling in the area, all dressed in black. How could this have happened? He was just out with Akio, having the best day ever, and now his world had come crashing down around him. Even Kohara, normally riled up, is subdued on the boy's shoulder and has his head lowered out of respect. His mother, Sumiwa, lets out a heart wrenching wail and falls to her knees. The gathered Aburame and others all flock towards her, as her son just turns away and walks towards the forest bordering their home.
"I don't understand... Otosan, you were supposed to come home. You said so yourself, that you would be home in time for dinner. Why did you lie to us? This job was supposed to be safe. Patrolling the village is just routine, right? So WHY was there a rogue sneaking in? You should have called for help instead of trying to fend them off yourself. That's one of the first things that you and Okasan taught me. Never try to handle things by yourself; there are always people around to support you, so lean on them in times of need. Now you're gone. Just like that." Kohara lifts his head at the change in Kiriyomi's tone, shifting from sadness to anger. He had never seen his host like this before. The Aburame boy was a kind and gentle soul, he had never lifted a finger in anger against anyone. Where had all this rage come from? The ant looks around, hoping to find someone to help comfort Kiri.
