Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The search had been brief, she had been sent to find the wearabouts of her father at the behest of her Yamikage but her search had been for naught... Her father was gone for now... It was not unusual for the prophet of an old god to disappear from time to time but things felt different, and at such an inconvenient time. After exhausting all earthly possibilities, but only as a last resort Kiko had gone to the god of her father in prayer, after all one does not go to the gods with every little problem that can be solved yourself... The goddess responded, after all in this world the gods were close and it was well within her power for the Goddess of Deep Waters to have direct interaction with the world. The goddess of her father told her that her father was out of the world but not at her behest, she would find him if it was within her power for even gods had limits... Her father was gone for now, it was just a development the Myakashi would have to adapt to. Given the current climate of the world they better adapt quickly...

Approaching the grand entrance of Suna Kiko moved with determination, the crowd of merchants instinctualy parting to give her room in the same way that a school of fish schools around a shark... There was definitely no objection to her cutting the well established bottleneck of waiting merchants, they knew what the scratches through her Shinobi headband meant, it meant she was dangerous.

Before she had made it to the gates propper a well armoured and equipped Sunan guard approached her, the merchants parting around him also, two sharks through the school of fish until they met, the merchants around them both giving them space and simultaneously pretending to not be listening intently to the twos interactions, after all, at the gates of an active shinobi village they may have to run at any moment, Shinobi life was a cruel one, with the merchant class feeding at the edge of the violence.

The guard positioned himself between the now halted Kunoichi, taking note also of the headband and what it meant.
"Peace Shinobi. May I enquire what brings you to Suna today? Perhaps I can assist you?"

Kiko would bow formally to the guard, much deeper than required for the occasion before returning to a standing position.
"There is no peace... Shinobi... Tell your Sennin Akkuma the faceless demon accepts the offer..."

[Ooc: Sort of requesting entry maybe lol. Looking for Akkuma but anyone is welcome!]

The gates of a ‘hidden’ village always was a hive of activity, despite the fact that they were supposed to be, well, secret ninja villages. Despite the title, the Bulwark was always a place where people came and went, with the necessary supplies to survive in the desert having to be brought in from time to time.

Such normalcy was disrupted as a lone figure cut her way, figuratively for now, through the rabble. She made no attempts to hide her loyalties, or lack thereof, and soon the Sunan guards would both spot and watch her with what amounted to no small measure of fear. Conflict at the gates would cause too many civilian casualties, and this one clearly looked like she could more than handle herself.

She spoke with the guard, and then seemed to wait for a response. None was forthcoming… until.

“Ah… Lady Kiko. You are looking ravishing as always”, Akkuma spoke, his silvered devils’ tongue making each word cause an involuntary sliver to rise down the backs of those listening. “I welcome you to Sunagakure.” Where he had appeared from was anyone's guess, with his normal sandy arrival method not being shown. It was almost as if he was not being dramatic for once. The devil bowed deeply, his perfectly quaffed hair glistening white in the sun, whilst his voluminous black robes framed his form, exquisite in what was obviously a ‘Im richer than everyone else, nir nir’ sort of way. He looked at Kiko and his tongue flicked on his lips slowly and seductively.

“I would happily let you in under normal circumstances, but unfortunately there is a significant problem here.” The devil rose, his countenance seeming to change to one of menace.

“You are far, far, too sexy.”

The words came out in Akkuma’s oily speech, but there was clearly something wrong as Akkuma’s face started to beam into a wide, genuine smile that looked so far out of place on the devil’s face. Perhaps he smiled like this when he was torturing puppies or something.

The was a heavy second as those around would probably be thinking… what the hell.

“HAHAHAH GOT YOU!”, a small but all-too-familiar voice echoed in her mind as, with a puff of chakra smoke, Akkuma the great scary devil person turned into a small, wooden mannequin. If the little thing could have had a cheshire grin on his face he would have. Almost immediately Mikki leapt to hug Kiko and clamber onto her shoulder. Normally, a person would probably freak out when a little wooden man leapt at them, but this was family.

A very weird and wonderful family.

“Now, I can't let you in as the people here are actually kind of cool for ‘normies’ - I guess Miohino the sexy panther guy is busy. He's a prophet as well, but for some panther God or something. Oh, and he's one of Kuro’s clan as well - the Toraono’s. They are pretty cool as they have sex with demons! Or their parents did at least. Suna’s full of people like that! Half-demons, half-animals, ancients, undead… it's like there isn’t much to do here but have sex with random stuff and dead bodies!”

Clearly realising that he was talking a bit too much, at least for now, he changed track.

“Now, you have to be dip.lo.matic at gates. Being all scary and stuff only works in Kumogakure because they have sticks up their clackers. And Konoha, because that’s fun. Let me show you how its done.”

Mikki, all 33.333 cm of him, walked boldly towards the poor guard who probably had no idea what was going on, despite being in this very odd village.

“He. ll. Oo. My name is Mikki and Akkuma-sama. Said. We. Good. Let. In.” He would have smiled but had no face, which made it difficult, but his wild hand gestures might have helped. Or hindered. The guard would know that Mikki was previously let in with full honours, it had been written down of course… but why the hell did the Sennin let in this… this thing!

“I will have to radio it in Mikki, err My lord. One second.” The guard responded, placing his hand on his earpiece. “I have a Kiko and a Mikki at the gates for Lord Akkuma.”

“And tell him Migoya is waiting for us.” Mikki added.

With this name the guard’s face seemed to lose all colour. The rumours that the Yamikage was currently in Sunagakure had spread amongst the shinobi in whispers. There was talk that the appearance of the Myakashi and the disappearance of the Kazekage was linked, but there was little evidence to suspect the mercenary clan - in fact they seemed to have been welcomed as allies by Lord Akkuma.

“The Lord Yamigakure apparently is waiting for them”. The guard repeated slowly. Whatever the response was, neither of the Myakashi could hear.

Mikki, jumping back onto Kiko’s shoulder, gave a small chuckle. “Name dropping works as well. Now Kiko-kun, where the HELLS have you been! My God, so much is happening and its all too exciting!”

The guard spoke his words into the headset receiver before Kiko could respond. Mikki had done so much damage in the short moments he had been there, telling the guard her name, telling of associations, the Myakashi connections and much much more. Kiko did not greet the small wooden puppet as he landed on her shoulder, instead she brushed him off, her porcelain white hand casting him to the ground with a small puff of dirt. The Kunoichi's eyes looked down at the diminutive figure, her stare boring through him like a scolding older sister. Her stare said a thousand words but Kiko only felt the need to say one out loud and Mikki would know it was directed at him...

"Baka..."

With a flicker of motion the Kunoichi closed the short distance between herself and the gate guard, his hand still raised to the button on his headset. There was the sound of a dull, sickeningly wet crack which accompanied the sudden movement and it took the stunned man a moment to realise he had 'made' the noise. Looking down slowly he would see the Kunoichi's hand plunged thumb deep through his sternum, as the damaged heart ceased to carry oxygen to the man's brain he quickly lapsed into the darkness, his last thoughts were of confusion and fear, but neither emotion lasted long...

~~~~~fade to ultra violence~~~~~
Viscera dripped in thick globules from Kiko's hands down to the already blood soaked ground. In mere moments her hands had done the butchers work, the Faceless Demon had killed them all... The Guards... The Merchants... The beasts of burden... All now lay dead in various states of dismemberment strewn across the entry to the great hidden village... It had only been seconds... It had been a massacre...
The blood soaked woman leant over the small puppet still laying in the now equally blood soaked dirt, the last 'Living' thing at the great gates of Suna. Her eyes narrowed at Mikki, they showed no mirth, only animosity to her small friend... He had undone so much so fast.
"Miksurendo..." She would use his full name so he would know he was in trouble even if he wasn't sure why.
"Tell Migoya you have compromised the faceless demon to Sunan forces... Tell him you are a fool... Tell him exactly what you have said... Exactly what you have done... And when he has thought of how to fix your mistake... Tell him you personally will deliver his orders to me..." She would maintain her disappointed glare for a moment longer than necessary before turning away and beginning to walk back into her wilds. As she walked away she would leave one final thought with the small puppet.
"This is not our Village Mikki... You are not safe here..."
There were times in the ancient tsukumogami’s life that strange things had happened. He had been to so many interesting places, seen so many interesting people, and was, generally, quite happy with how life went. But now... now things REALLY SUCKED. This was his Kiko - his saviour and sort of sister. He looked up to her, and it seemed in his joy he had forgotten something. She was a demon. A monster. Trained as the ultimate killer in a clan of ultimate killers. And he had made a very, very big mistake.
She had brushed him from her shoulder. She had given him the look, and with that he knew he had been exactly what she had called him.
Baka.
He had been insulted by Gods, by missing-nin, by Kage… but this stung deeper than the rest, for perhaps other than Migoya and Yong, her words were important to him. Her love important was to him. And he had risked her life, forgetting their place in this village that was not theirs. He had been… comfortable and it had made him stupid.
He looked up at the retreating figure of the faceless demon of the deeps. He did not know this side of Kiko well, but now he understood why she was so feared. She had killed so many in an instant, mercilessly, uncaringly.
A small voice would follow Kiko, speaking more deeply that the loudest shout, and letting her know he would, rarely, do exactly as she said. Migoya would fix everything as always, but perhaps… just perhaps he couldn’t fix what had just been broken between the two.
I’m sorry.
He would now seek the Yamikage to undo the damage he had wrought, for although it was Kiko's blade that did the damage, it was all his fault.
He would wait until Kiko had disappeared, before reaching down to get the guards headset. The channel was still the same.
Help! Some random ninja at the gate attacked everyone. Please come help!
The headset would go quiet, and Mikki would retreat back into the village before anyone else could arrive, for the scolding he knew he would get and deserved.
Kyoki has been inside Sand for a couple of days now and his curiosity of the Gates got the best of him. He wondered if they were able to clean up his mess at all. And what did he walk into? Oh? He was careful not to step into the blood soaked areas, but... he can't help but admire what he is seeing. He let out a chuckle as he surveyed the damage. "Now THIS!! This right here is interesting!" He would exclaim letting out a fit of laughter.
It seems that there are more than just one rouge ninja around, something that would need particular attention. As the game proceeds, he will need to find out who all the players are, and if need be, make alliances before the bloodshed begins. "I'll be taking this. You won't be needing it anymore." He took a headset and Sand Headband from one of the corpses. It sounds like he will need to camouflage himself into the Village, along with have a close ear on the going ons that are actively happening.
Michino was stuck in the Toraono Dojo on this auspicious day. A long ago scheduled meeting of the Toraono Elders had gathered together to finally begin the process of selecting the new official Clan Head. A process that the prophet had spent nearly a decade in securing his position as their go-to over the Oushi-Ouja’s strongest. He had ‘locked horns’, so to speak, with that clan harder than any other including Kuro’s main bloodline that had ruled for nigh eternity. It had been a hard fought battle, but he was all but officially the new Demonbeast King. Yet, despite this, his mind floated through the politics and motions on the floor as it weight far more heavily on the status of the village gates.
Things had not been so great there as of late. Akkuma was allowing in all sorts of potentially villainous sorts without any real measure of promise that they would ensure their best behavior. When his clan had taken in refugees, there was always the insurance that the Toraono Clan would prevent them from ever harming Sunagakure; a promise he doubted the Devil would uphold as they did. On top of that ‘shitstrom’, was the fact that the Yamikage now graced the heavily guarded walls of their village. He had been slow to catch on, but after the recent attack slaughtered a great deal of his clan’s younger generation the Hyou smelled the faintest whiffs of a conspiracy. There was simply too much coincidence happening at once to merit such strong movements from the Mercenary community. The audience that Migoya currently held with the Chikamatsu was set up long before the 12th’s vanishing; yet Mich could not shake the feeling something was wrong. The timing was too, perfect. Problem was, everything so far had been such calculated movement was that the Toraono couldn’t find a real single string that lead anywhere until the attack - where the remains of a camera’s mirror crystal revealed some information on the attacker. Aside from an identity garnished, one piece of info still haunted him:
They were hunting Akkuma. Why?
I have a Kiko and a Mi-” the words of a gate guard crackling into Michino’s elongated ear on a low volume before it was cut off suddenly. His chains rattled lightly as he sat up suddenly. Those of the Toraono Elders felt the tension from one of their most powerful and drew their guard as well to wait on the word. The prophet’s purple iris’ grew as the pupils became pinpricks. Rage fueled chakra began to burn at the cloak and chains that were repressing his fury. His eyes shot across the table, and without a word all of them stood up to flicker out of the room and towards the gates.
Landing there on the scene was a gruesome carnage not like the one a few nights before. Michino and the Toraono Elders all landed at the same time and their faces turned up into snarls of anger. Certain members who did not wear the garments the Hyou, could not hide their fury as demonic chakra roared out from the gate’s center.
Call the medics!” the prophet’s voice called over the anger of his fellow clansmen, “…and bring me a Bingo Book. That name sounds far too familiar….
The Toraono Clan would be holding an audience with Chikamatsu Wei before the week was out. Things had gone too far in the receding defenses of their home while the Steward waged war on the Nomads at the behest of their new owners.
