Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

She relaxed into her chair glancing at the desk which at the present moment was flooded with papers of all styles and sorts. In the midst of it all, there was a file folder emblazed with the Leaf logo and the picture of a shinobi clipped to it which Soku picked up taking in the details before sighing. The kunoichi missed it, she really did, the rough and tough nature of the ANBU Corps and not having to deal with the more adminstrative side of things though this was also important in a sense. She just lacked a sense of routine and organizaton to her work setting the pamphlet to one side and pulling a stack of papers towards her muttering more to herself than anyone else. "Sign here..sign there..that's done..oh?" The kunoichi paused for a second, head dipping downwards to land on one of the forms taking in the details that were jotted down and had made it to her desk tapping her chin in a thoughtful manner. It was not the most unusual request but not one she saw too often, still, any welcome addition to the village was not one she would pass up glancing from the form back to the personeel file she had in front of her before nodding. It would have to do for as she called out towards her office door. "Shinjiro!"

The visage of a young woman peeked in, her features spelling a question as she flicked the file folder at her assistant. "Post this request on the bulletin board, will you? Oh, and send a summons to that genin, time to start putting some of these younger folk to work." A thumbs up as her assistant, her arms now full of the papers Soku had impressed upon her disappearing promptly as the woman rose from her chair rising to face the window that overlooked her office, the red curtains parted to allow some sunlight to filter in as she looked on over the village buildings as the audibe tick of the clock as the seonds went by resounding in her ear. Her black hair was smoothed back into a bun and the Sennin wore the normal tailored robes of the office, some sleek white robes with a small golden leaf pinned onto the front of her robes. Near the back of the office on a coat stand hung her battered old ANBU vest, an nice reminder of what her more active days looked like. She shook her head to clear it laughing at herself, all this sentimental stuff. Surely, she wasn't that old yet.

Retirement was still a long way away or so she hoped.

Daisuke hadn’t been idle during the time after his graduation from the academy, in fact he assumed he had done a lot more work than a lot of others would. There was no celebration for him, it made no sense to waste time on a promotion that was basically guaranteed as soon as he entered it. In truth the boy was reasonably skilled, teetering on the edge of arrogantly so, but still he would do what was required of him. When the letter came with his summons, Daisuke wasted no time in setting off towards the Hokage mansion. He had only ever been inside the building with his father, never quite going as far into it as he would have to today – yet he was still unphased, maybe alarmingly so.

His journey from his point of training to the office of the main branch sennin took maybe ten minutes at most, he wasn’t as swift as the other students but by now Diasuke had mapped out the most efficient routes around the village to get to wherever he would be needed, and this summoning was no exception. His short form leapt across rooftops, only a pattering of feet on tiles giving away his presence before he leapt down onto the main pathway up towards the mansion. He was still as swift as ever but soon slowed to approach such an imposing building with the level of formality it required. For a moment his hands were a blur of movement, only ceasing once two masses of water condensed from the air on either side of him and took on the boy’s form. They busied themselves as he walked, correcting his hair, clothing and making sure to get any dust or dirt that they could off of his self-imposed uniform. Just as Daisuke motioned to cross the threshold of the mansion, the two clones each fell into their own puddle of water, the chakra drained from them.

There were no words to be said as the boy made his way in, generally everything was signposted well enough that even those not paying a huge amount of attention could stumble their way to their intended destination. For Daisuke the signs just increased his efficiency and before he knew it he was walking towards the door of Nanjirou Soku’s office. He made sure to allow his footsteps to be audible as the distance continued to close, allowing Soku more than enough time to be ready for his arrival – though Diauske imagined she didn’t need time to prepare; she probably already knew where he was even before entering into the complex.

The young boy cleared this throat before turning into the doorway. He stopped at its boundary, bowed deeply, and then stepped further inside. “Minamoto Diasuke reporting, Lady Soku.” He bowed once more before standing up straight and moving his gaze to meet with the sennin. Whatever task there was to be done, he was ready for it.

It didn't take long, it never did no matter who you summoned, a letter from the Hokage Mansion was as rare as three-leaf clovers and when anyone got one, it would be in their best interest to make it there post-haste. She still remember that pounding of the heart, that nervous feeling when she got those letters deciding if it was good news or bad news. Forunately in Daisuke's case, it was nothing too terrible though she was sure he was probably wondering why on earth the Sennin had pulled him out of the plethora of genin and students there were. His file was an impressive one to say the least and as he made himself known, Soku didn't respond at first finishing reading up on some details before closing the file folder, her eyes lifting to meet his gaze, a smile plastered on her face beckoning him into the office. "Daisuke, come in. Right on time."

Picking through the bits and bobs of paperwork that had laid claim to her desk, Soku finally fished out the right documents pushing them towards the genin which had detailed assignments of the mission to be executed along with a picture of the client attached to it. "Tell me, Daisuke, are you a people person?" For something like this, they would be out and about with a client who had barely stepped foot in Konohagakure and each new opputurnity was a way to strengthen the village even if it was in minor ways like this but it had to be done the right way. It had been sitting a while now but now that she had finally turned her attention to it, Soku realized that even the most simplest missons sometimes required a bit more of careful thinking than you would thinking. One wrong move or mis-step and it could turn from a very little thing to a very big thing and sometimes, that was not always preferable.

"The reason I ask is exactly why I called you here today." Nodding to the document in front of them, it was a fairly simple request with the details outlined in the text and not one anyone else had really bothered to pick up. After all, most shinobi prided themselves on being more than overglorifed tour guides so such a thing to them was an insult to their integrity but they didn't exactly have a lot of options here. "You see, I have a problem. This guy's a blacksmith, new in town. He knows next to nothing how about everything works here and we've been getting some complaints from the other merchants that he's..well..not fitting in." It was an interesting scenario to say the least, the man hadn't done anything wrong but the Hidden Leaf traditions and customs coupled with their lifestyle was something he needed to grasp before he accidentally offended someone or something. "We already have a report of him trying to forge counterfeit shinobi headbands and when confronted, stated he was unaware of such a rule that such things can only be made by approved vendors." She let that linger in the air trying to grasp her head around it. You would think that as prominent as Konohagakure was, some people would have some awareness of the do's and don'ts but every now and then, you got the odd one out.

The issue here was clear and it was starting to become a little more than just a honest mistake. "If I don't take care of this now, well, some of our villagers aren't exactly too trusting of newcomers as it is." They had good reason, the village had been through much so to just accept anyone with open arms was a tough request but still, the majority of people were good honest people like the blacksmith. "Your job is simple, you're gonna be his personal assistant. Help him with his day to day tasks but give him a tour of the place too, teach him as you guys go about your day, point out landmarks, help him with customers, you get the jist." Daisuke in short was basically going to be her final resort to give the man some general idea of how to do things. If that didn't work, she would be out of options. "No one else wants to take this request because they consider it..ah..unfit for their role."

"So, will you?"
