Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A hot sun baked the ground below his feet into a hard surface that was making the soles of his boots wear thin with use. His hair was plastered to his golden skin, white strands of silk on shining flesh. He wore his light blue robes with the hood down, letting the rare breeze blow over his skin. The hood had grown soaked with sweat earlier, for while he couldn't feel the heat, he apparently still sweated like any other person for the moment.

Hoshikata was in a city on the beach, a quick jaunt for a job that was supposed to pay well, but more than that the client was a well connected man who would be able to line him up for introductions to powerful people down the line. The city was a wondrous land of glass, reflective surfaces that focused all of the light right down onto the deserted roads and set fire to leaves that blew through. He was quite sure that if it rained the water would turn into steam before even touching the ground.

He'd already completed his mission, and now he was heading out of the city to get his pay. It was pure luck that the first blow missed him. As he was passing a cafe, the Seer stopped to poke his head in and inquire about a drink. The quick step back to check the name saved quite a bit of his brain matter as a crossbow bolt flew past him, the feather tickling his nose as it went by.

Hoshikata was trained well by his instructors both in and out of the Mist Academy. No sooner had the missile gone by than he stepped into the cafe and wove a spell of chakra. The proprietor would look up and see nothing, as the man had now become quite invisible to all. Not trusting that alone, however, he would drop to the ground and lay flat. This proved a good action as soon the owner was one of the departed. Bolts, arrows, and rocks flew through the windows with deadly force, killing several other people also. Hoshikata would roll to a wall and rise up, standing in the space between two windows and waiting.

The door was kicked open and four men ran in, crossbows held ready by two while the other two had swords drawn. As the door falls shut, the sound of thumps and groans ring out to the four waiting outside. One man stumbles out, a crossbow in his gut. Hoshikata simply stood still as the other three perished before him. A simple genjutsu that one, to make them think each of their allies was their target.

Once more missiles barrage the establishment, making him press close to the wall. Finally, when a lull arrives, he spins and leaps out a window, dropping his invisiblity as he performs a jutsu. A bolt comes flying in at him, but one of his assailants is suddenly yanked before him, taking the deadly shaft meant for him. He lets the corpse fall as the three remaining men drop their crossbows and pull out their own weapons. Two swords, one spear. Hoshikata holds out his hand, his staff flying into it through the shattered window.

As the swordsmen rush in, Hoshikata turns to face one, snapping out behind him with kinetic force and sending that one flying into a wall. Blade meets staff as the swordsman begins a dizzying routine of attack that is barely deflected in time. A sudden sense of warning comes upon him, and he steps to the side as the spear lances through where he was, skewering the swordsman. Hoshikata turns to keep the recovering swordsman in sight as the two foes converge on him.

A line of shadow suddenly springs at him from the spearman, and Hoshikata focuses on it, his kinetic skills sending it into the swordsman, who locks up tight. Before his ally can remove the bind, Hoshikata's tanto is pulled from his robes and buried in the man's throat. HE turns to face his single remaining attacker, holding the staff before him with two hands. His opponent steps in, a flurry of blows raining in and being turned aside. As he sends one out wide, the Seer spins the staff suddenly, bringing his body in close and twisting. With a loud thump, the globe on the end slams into the man's temple and sends him sprawling.

Hoshikata steps up, kicking the spear away. The staff rises high, catching the sun in the crystal globe, before coming down on the man's hands, shattering each one. He drops his weapon and reaches down, lifting the shinobi and slamming them into a wall. ”Well, we're going to talk about who sent you after me. And then you're going to die.”
