Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kiri draws a small mouse-like creature his journal. He wasn’t exactly the prodigy of arts but he was good enough to get the good features of the animal right. He would even jot down the estimated size as he leans against a tree observing. He had been out all day yesterday to hunt and gather that he didn’t have to go finding ration for himself that day. That meant he would have enough time to do the next part of collecting information. Munching on the menthol leaf, he would keep a good eye on the creature before putting down more notes on it. It seemed to be rather fat and had swirling patterns on its body. It eats berries at a fast pace and seems to have a knack of glancing about but not bothering with him when eating. Might be conscious of any other predatory animal out there, but not agitated by humans.

He stops writing down for a moment as he flips the pages back. He discovered how he had become quite the OC type lately, making sure his penmanship was legible and presentable, and that he would limit any errors. Thus, he would then be left in awe as he would trace a finger along the lines of his writing as he read them again to be sure. The previous entries were about the creatures he had hunted in the forest of Fire Country.

The first one was a wolf-like creature with a white fur. It’s eyes were stark red and its fangs were sharp and long, uniquely like a boar’s length. It was larger than normal wolves and there were stripes along its fur too. And unlike how wolves hunted in packs, this one he encountered was alone and did not even back-off when Kiri let out a bit of his beast’s aura. It was definitely the predator of the area because of that sign, and it was strong too. Definitely important to warn travellers about it.

The second one was a small deer. It was strange as Kiri first thought it was just a newborn, but the antlers were aged and it showed no fear despite its small body. It had a dark coat with a brilliant black pearly mane. What made it unique were the large hooves it had. They were certainly far too large for its body’s proportion that for a moment, Kiri thought it was wearing some boot-like armor. But after fighting the creature and bringing it down, he discovered that it really was its legs and that the thick armour-like skin almost felt more rock-like.It was, indeed, strange but he also discovered that the meat was rather soft and best went roasted. Of course, Kiri made sure to note that a few of the herbs in the area would make for great seasoning too.

The third one a large frog. He had seen the ones back in Lightning Country, and even the ones along the marshes, but he didn’t think he’d find one in the middle of a forest. Let alone something that stood still for a long time that Kiri thought it was a statue. In fact, Kiri jumped back when the said frog suddenly moved, shooting out its tongue to grab its prey and then went to munch it. Normally, that would be a normal sight, but the frog was around a dog’s size and its prey was actually a small rodent creature. Poor critter. Anyway, it had greyskin and was silent; no croaking at all, but it would move really fast when feeding. Though the moment Kiri was alarmed and his beast’s aura leaked for a moment, the frog was terrified and quickly ran away. Trying to chase it, Kiri would find himself in an open space where a pond was. Thus, he concluded that the frog was probably from within the area, though there was hardly any other signs of other frogs.

The fourth one he spotted was quite the headache, and literally. He was sleeping in the forest that time when he felt something hit his head in full force. His beast instinct kicked in and he rolled to a prepared stance and readily drawing out his sword, only to find himself embarrassed when what he saw was a large bird on top of his backpack. It seemed wounded too. So he quickly sheathed his sword back then and went to assess the bird’s condition. It was a bird of prey but the wing was heavily injured so he applied his healing chakra on it, trying to calm the bird before wrapping it with bandages. He actually cared for the bird a couple of days, and in that time managed to get the specifics: 2 meter wingspan, up to 8-inches of talons, dark grey eyes, brilliant white coat, and a silent bird. It ate the fruits he gave it. Surprisingly, when it’s wing was healed, it would not leave his side at first. It was only when Kiri was nearing a small village did he notice that the bird was no longer following him. Perhaps it was apprehensive of humans, but that Kiri’s aura having that of the beast’s made him appear different.

For now, that were the strange encounters. And as he looked up from the journal, Kiri was surprised and almost jumped back when the mouse creature was now standing on his backpack and leaning in to look at his journal. Kiri looked at it and they stared at each other for a long while before Kiri attempted to pat it on its head. Only then did the mouse retreat and run into the hedges.
