Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Roku's attack struck true, and any other time such a strike would of caused Kagai's body to fly back, but because Roku was holding onto one of Kagai's arms, that wasn't the case. The strike had knocked the breath out of him, and caused him to cough up a bit of blood...."Nobody makes me bleed my own blood....Nobody!" Kagai would say as he activated his Immolation Armor. His body would rapidly heat up, almost to the point of bursting into flames. He had hoped this would cause Roku to let him go, but in the mean time, Kagai would draw back his free arm and bend it so that his elbow was sticking out.

He would than send his elbow flying into Roku's gut repeatedly, hoping that the force of the blow added with the burning he would be receiving from holding onto his wrist and from his repeated elbow strikes would cause this crazed warrior to let Kagai loose, and if that happened, the real fun would begin. With his immolation armor activated, even being near Kagai would cause one to feel extreme heat, so using Taijutsu against him would result in Roku getting some nasty burns in the end.

His eyes would dart to the hand holding onto Kagai's as it was now feeling a very burning sensation, which made more sense now that his opponent body seemed to raise to and alarming intensity. Loosening his grip from confusion, he would be caught off guard by the first elbow strike into his gut causing him to cough up a nice mixture of blood and saliva. Quickly regaining his composure he would push backwards to create some distance as his hands would do something that they had not done in a good while; created a series of hand seals.

"Neat trick... " and with that his own internal temperature would begin to fluctuate, giving his peachy complexion a more red hue, as he too activated the Immolation Armor technique. While he was not a fan of ninjutsu, this one was a different. It was something designed to further improve his taijutsu, so when his older brother drilled the technique into his head he actually paid attention. Once more he would leap forward, still employing the mantra of the Zaraki Style. Once more throwing away his own well being he would rush forward and slam his fist down in front of Kagai, intentionally missing him. The monstrous strength pushing behind the fist would cause a cloud of dust to erupt forward. This hopefully would throw his opponent off a bit as he would once more rushing through the cloud to start a frontal attack. More specifically a 4 hit combination very simpler to what his opponent had used earlier, even mimicking the location of the strikes; two to the solar plexus, one to the center of his chest and finally an uppercut to Kagai's chin.

"Ahhh... Mimicry is the purest form of flattery, my friend." Kagai would say, noticing the abrupt change in his opponents demeanor and color of his skin. While he was producing his own heat, Kagai could still feel the temperature rise even more around him. The chakra coming off of their bodies even seemed to be doing battle, one trying to overpower the other while the surrounding people watched in awe. The entire area was now distorted from an outside view. A mirage-like effect was raising all around which made the bodies of Kagai and Roku almost impossible to see clearly, but Kagai and Roku could see each other perfectly.

It was then Roku charged once more, coming in for another bout of fisticuffs, but it appeared that he wasn't aiming for Kagai, no, he was aiming for the ground. He would punch the ground with monstrous strength, causing a tidal wave of dust to erupt forwards towards Kagai..."A distraction...Does he think I would fall for such a thing twice?" Kagai thought to himself, knowing full-well that his opponent wasn't going to attack from any other direction aside from forwards, and Kagai would be ready. While in reality it was only a few seconds that passed between Roku striking the ground and then coming into attack Kagai, but to trained Shinobi, a few seconds could feel like an eternity.

When his opponent did come for the frontal assault and go for his strike, all he would connect with would be a log of wood and smoke. Kagai could now be seen standing adjacent to the dust cloud where Roku was with his hand balled up against his mouth. With a powerful inhale, Kagai would let loose a large ball of flames from his mouth. The ball would grow and expand to encompass the entire area where Roku was within the dust cloud. He had hoped that his gambit had paid off with this and he managed to make a more permanent mark on his adversary.

And just as the lord giveth, he taketh away...

The punch would land but as soon as it did it would be one of those shitty logs. Hey it was a very ninja move, there was no fault in it, but it was the ultimately 'cock block' battle move ever. His teeth would grit as his fist continued to drive through the log, shattering it into pieces that would eventually disintegrate. Kagai would immediately appear to his side, preparing for another attack. Letting loose a maddening howl Roku would turn his body to face his opponent who was once more launching a fire attack his way. His frustration was too much, this ninjutsu tomfoolery had consumed and mocked him for far too long. Instead of dodging, instead of dodging, he would do once more what he had done numerous times during this battle; his right arm would rare back. He would stand before this ninjutsu, this ball of flames, and he would be defiant. Exhaling one more primal roar his arm would go swinging forward. The fist, coursing with his own chakra, his own physical strength and probably most importantly the heat energy from the immolation armor, would slam into the attack causing a very odd impact. The ground below the connection would seemingly disappear in an instant, creating a crater between the two combatants. The tug of war of power would cause the veins on the right arm of Roku to bulge out, creating an intricate webbing of dark blue tubes to appear, almost like tribal markings, running up to the neck of the teen. They would then begin to jut out, running up his neck, as the pupils of his eye vanished into a sea of white. This was the power of a barbarian, the image of a reckless fool who had abandoned reason.

And while this moment for the two locked into the battle may have seemed like a life time, for those gawking nearby this moment would happen within the matter of a few seconds. Soon the punch of Roku would force the fireball off its course, sending the attack arching over towards a group of nearby rubberneckers. Their awe at the situation would not allow them to move, only watch in amazement as their demise washed over them in a brilliance of light. The explosion would be the perfect back drop for the fighters as Roku smirked at Kagai.

"We should wrap this up... ANBU will probably be getting a report here soon. I've tried to keep killing those watching in hopes are game could go on... but soon our menacing scene, even in the crap portion of this slum, will draw the ire of the village." Spitting out some more blood his eyes would begin to scour across the newly created landscape; a flattened building whose rubble covered a good portion of the area, blood and visceral clouding the air and a nice little fire burning in various parts of the location. "I don't know about you, but I have a reputation to maintain... can't be going to 'the jail' anytime soon."

Needless to say, Kagai was quite impressed by this guys reckless abandon. He actually punched the fireball with his bare hand and altered its course so that it hit away from them, and from the sound of the screams, had taken with it a few people as well. Kagai didn't care about all of that, the people it hit were heathen scum anyways, but the fact that he was able to divert the course of his jutsu with just a punch was quite impressive indeed.

Being ANBU himself, Kagai knew that it was only a matter of time before the shadows of Sunagakure descended upon them to take them away to the prison. He might even be among those whom are called to investigate the area, so he would have to make sure he didn't leave any evidence that could lead back to him once the investigation. Of course that would have to wait until they were all wrapped up here..."True enough." Kagai said. His clothes were ruined and he was a mess himself..."We shall pick this back up some other time than...The shadows will be upon us soon, so we had best make ourselves scarce.." Luckily, because of all the commotion and confusion, their faces would probably be the last thing the victims here remembered, so they wouldn't have to worry about anyone identifying them.

With that, Kagai would give a respectful nod of his head to Roku before placing his hand into a seal and disappearing from sight, most likely to return home, change, and come back to this same spot to investigate what had gone on here.

"This has been fun... not a lot of people can take a punch in these parts." Looking down at his body he would notice a lot of potential new scars and wounds that would be remaining with him following this clash, the sign that he truly had met a remarkable person today. At this point his body's super human healing would already be kicking in, producing what seemed to be steam from the various wounds. "We should get a beer or something next time... then we can stomp the shit out of one another." And like that Kagai would disappear from sight, something that Roku would quickly follow suit with.

Unfortunately the incident that occurred with the dredges of the Residential District would be reported as an unclassified anomaly, further investigation will be required but have since been back logged.
