Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It has been quite some time since Miyako has seen her teammate Suyashi or their team leader Akumi. While spending time with Shinzo she misses these two and while they all seem to be in the same place, they should meet how they once met as a team before, but with a bit of a twist. Miyako has spent most of her morning preparing tea and lunch for her teammates in hopes that they'll show up to meet with her. She can't help but to grin to herself as she walks along, picnic basket in her arm. Suyashi once expressed his fear of her eyes and genjutsu, but now she can't wait to show him the ultimate genjutsu of her clan and bloodline. A mix of emotions seethes through her body, whether it be excitement or love running through her veins she can't seem to keep her head straight.

The sandy wind uplifts her hair from her shoulders as she sets the picnic basket down under a tree in a somewhat open field. She chose this location simply for the open land and room for her teammates to finally show her what they've been learning since the time they've all spent apart. Even though she's spent much of her time with Shinzo as of lately, she has no idea what his skills are and wishes to learn for the time that they'll have to work as a team towards a common goal. Personally, her jutsu has been expanded and she's learned to cast jutsu very efficiently and accurately.

Miyako last fought with a young boy from the cloud, and their teamwork was nearly atrocious. Hopefully it wasn't her, and just the situation caught them off guard. Hopefully this meeting with her teammates will help to better prepare her to work with them. Even though they're both very skilled in taijutsu and Miyako is not, learning their move sets will allow her to better support them in combat and even just while travelling.

From this point on, Miyako simply waits for her team to arrive, she's wearing a sterile white eyepatch over her right eye and her usual kimono with netted pants and a tight fitting shirt. Her hair seems to only have gotten longer over the span of her life, it now touching the ground as she sits in the grass beneath the tree and sips on her warm tea. With the flick of her finger, her bangs are adjusted to cover just the space to her eyebrows and the rest of her hair cascades down the sides of her face and each side of her head, still jet black and lustrous as it has always been.

Today was going to be a good day! Shinzo took the time to walk for once, savouring the warm breeze of the Tea Country day. Occasionally a small gust of wind would lift his hair from his face, pushing it back over his head, though today his windswept hair seemed tidier as if he had taken much more time over it before leaving to meet with the others today. There was a skip in his step, a peaceful aura around him. The energy within him still calm from the day before. Birds sang overhead, dancing through the air in groups of three or more. A sigh escaped Shinzo’s lips as he enjoyed the day, his hands clasped together behind his head and elbows pointed outwards. Naturally his chest puffed in and out as he took satisfyingly deep breaths on his walk.

He stopped off a few minutes short of the meeting point, his attention was caught by some of the market stalls that lined the road he was walking. Ahead he could see a florist and immediately he knew what he needed to do, but first he would have to get something for Suyashi to make sure he didn’t feel left out. He stopped to look around for something fitting, but nothing specifically caught his eye. Well not until he turned to his left to see a vendor specialising in confectionary, the boy made his way over with money in hand. Something strange within his mind told him that his teammate would enjoy some manju and so Shinzo bought some, placing the bag of goods in one hand before making his way towards the florist. His eyes scanned the flowers on offer, he hoped that somehow he would pick something that Miyako would like. Shinzo hesitated for a moment before purchasing a bunch of blue roses. Now with his shopping done, Shinzo continued his journey to meet with the others.

The dark-haired figure of Miyako caught his eye as he rounded the final corner to meet with her and Suyashi. Shinzo beamed, his mind wandering to memories some of which were only new. His pace picked up as the distance between the two closed rapidly. A familiar smile, yet still warm, made itself present upon his face as his eyes met Miyako’s gaze. Once again his cheeks grew red as he made his way to stand closer to the Uchiha. “I have something for you.” He said softly, holding back his excitement. Soon Shinzo produced the bunch of flowers and gently held them out for her. “I hope you like them.”

Some people were born with a natural gift, something that others would never see despite years of training, hardwork and dedication to a craft. It was the 'it' factor. Some people could be strong, blue collar people, never new to the idea of hardwork to gain hard results. While others were born with the natural ability that they had to work very little to attain exponential results. In the Shinobi world... Suyashi could be seen as someone that as born with 'it' but how that was not true. He was someone that worked hard, so damn hard for the power he had, but his parents were both Former Leaders of the nation. They were strongly respected Shinobi of their time, and left a legacy in him to carry on. He would, and but he was not going to let the legacy get to his head, he was like everyone else... and he fought for that right to be considered strong, one of the new and upcoming elite.

It was that hardwork that led to his friendship with Shinzo, they fought along side one another before and he saw the work ethic of him first hand. Off screen, they always found a way to train together before he went to Kumogakure, alas, It was the time to finally meet with his team in maybe over a few years? He was on his way back to Konoha, but on his way he found out that there would be several shinobi of the leaf to be competing in a world tournament. Then he remembered, he had to step back to Kumogakure to gain some test results, so he'd detour back there to collect that before coming back... Either way this was a nice way to vacation a bit. He'd already met with Mikasa and Yukio. Met and fought Maru for the second time, burned his arm and hand. He would keep that away from his friends. However, he did send word to find out if his Team would be there.

Low and behold, He would be summoned via messenger by Miyako herself. It made Suyashi light up, he was excited to see her again, then again he didnt wanna get put in a Genjutsu again! She was prone for tricking him like that, however, he did enjoy her company, and he would do anything to help her grow just like she did things to help him and Shinzo. It was time! Team 8 was on the rise and they would be ready to take on all comers. Sometimes you had to spend time away to remember the good times that were spent, and missed. This would land Suyashi to wearing his wolf fur vest and clothing he had altered in Kumogakure... Upon reaching the site he would sniff out first Shinzo, he had the stronger smell of the two with Miyako normally smelling like her shampoo she used to keep her hair sleek and on fleek. Either way, Shinzo's smell led him to pace himself to the area calmly, it seemed they were already togeth-... Wait, did Shinzo just give her flowers?

"...Oioi! Shinzo, I didnt know I was invited to be a third wheel on another date...", thinking back to Ziren and Hana's moment. He would shake his head, looking at the duo, "Team 8 is back in action eh?", nodding he could feel Shinzo being strong... really strong. Maybe on his level. Miyako wasnt far behind either it had seemed they had not slacked at all in their training, but alas he would not have the chance to deal. Either way, Suyashi would approach standing a few feet away from the duo. Looking between the two awkwardly as he would try to cut the tension he would inevitably feel. "Oi, Its been a while. You both look strong... Sorry I havent been around... I'm still finishing up in Kumogakure, but, alas I will be back a month or so after the tournament is over... Waiting to see Mikasa-senpai, defeat the goons around the world! Hehe.", and with that the situation would calm itself hopefully.

It has been years since the three of them have met up together and Miyako is excited to hear about what Suyashi has accomplished so far, already having spent much of her time with Shinzo, she hopes to learn more about the teammate that seems quite further ahead than her and her newly found lover. The two of them should be here soon regardless, and Miyako looks forward to showing them how much she's grown as a kunoichi. She also looks forward to learning what the two of them have learned thus far in their careers as shinobi. Maybe today, they can coordinate attacks and the jutsu that the three of them have within they're own personal arsenals.

As Shinzo rounds the corner, Miyako's heart almost flutters, the memories of the day before still fresh in her mind and on her lips, "Konniciwa, Shinzo," Miyako calls with a smile at the beaming boy that's approaching quickly. From this distance, he'd already notice the eyepatch over her right eye and the Mangekyo Sharingan in the other. She meets his eyes but he wouldn't feel anything different from when she looked at him before. It's clear that she's not inducing him into a genjutsu. With a smile, as Shinzo reaches her, her body lifts onto her toes and she pecks his cheek, "What'd you get me?" she asks just before he reveals the bouquet of blue roses. Her jaw drops before she can continue and she reaches outward for the interesting bouquet before her, wrapping her arms around it. "Oh my Shinzo! Where did you get these? They're so cool!" It's obvious that Miyako is very happy with his offering and she even inhales their aroma deeply. "Thank you." She almost whispers, once again lifting herself onto her toes to give him another peck on the cheek just before Suyashi rounds the corner.

It has been years since Miyako has seen Suyashi and the time has really done him well. Despite her newly blossomed relationship with Shinzo, Miyako has always found Suyashi as handsome. regardless of how handsome he's grown, Miyako can't help but to grin mischievously, her hands coming together in front of her body as Suyashi approaches, calling out about a third wheel. She would remain quiet as he approaches and greets them both. The grin on her face grows for just a moment before she finally turns to Suyashi, making full eye contact with him, "Hey Suyashi." is all she greets him with, her single three-tomoed Mangekyo Sharingan attempting to bore into the depths of his mind and ultimately shove him into a purgatory-styled space of nothingness, where the both of them would stand alone, if her genjutsu were effective against the power young shinobi before her. If Shinzo were watching, he would only see the two of them staring blankly at each other, given the genjutsu pushes its way into the mind of Suyashi.

’An eyepatch, I wonder what’s caused that? Especially in such a short space of time.’ The boy quickly scanned her as he approached, though excitement was building within him once again. Before he could say much more about it, the Uchiha girl rose to kiss him on the cheek. A warmth radiated from his face throughout his body as he felt the touch of her lips. As he presented her with the flowers hr couldn’t help but beam in her direction while holding her gaze. Her sharingan seemed different from normal, extremely impressive now that he focused his attention on it. Shinzo was definitely glad that Miyako appreciated her gift, in truth he wasn’t overly sure of himself but still he wanted to make sure that she felt special. His grin matched hers as he handed her the bunch of flowers though it did faltered slightly as his mind was drawn back to her eyepatch. “Are you okay?” A slight tone of anxiety for the girl most dear to him was present in his voice as he lifted his left hand to her face, brushing his thumb gently along her cheek under the eyepatch.

Though there was little time for Miyako to answer as that very moment Suyashi appeared. The brown haired boy turned to greet his teammate. “Not at all,” He replied to the third wheel comment with a chuckle. “I’ve got something for you too, don’t worry!” He began to rummage around in his belt pouch. ’Oh come on, it wasn’t that small. It has to be here, I didn’t drop it.’ Finally the boy withdrew the small bag of treats that he had bought for Suyashi. “Here you are!” Shinzo spun around on the spot, tossing the bag of manju in the direction of the blonde boy without even looking. However, as he did raise his eyes to look upon Suyashi he just caught the very moment that the bag of manju ricocheted off the side of the elder boy’s head and landed with a small thud on the floor below. It seemed as though he had thrown them in the very second that Sushi and Miyako staring blankly at one and other.

“Are you two alright?” By now Shinzo was making his way over to the pair, one hand running through his brown locks and resting at the back of his head.

It would definitely seem to be that he turned that corner just before something happened but, it didnt matter, He was looking at Miyako looking back at him, she was gorgeous as ever but, that was not a road to be followed, he knew for ages that Shinzo had the hots for her, and he would not mess up the bro code. At any pace Suyashi would trot himself into place looking at the both of them and Miyako with some flowers in tow, "Heh, Nice, Shinzo got'em?", he figured Shinzo had gotten her things on a normal basis, but he never commented on it, letting whatever happened between them flourish as it would. The Best Team in Konoha finally all back together, Suyashi couldnt help but simle brightly at this. AND it would seem that Shinzo, got him a gift as well?

"Oioi! Ya got me something?!", sniffing the air for a moment he'd catch a wiff of Manju! One of his favorite snacks!"[/color], it was healthy and delectable! Shinzo knew him well but before he would get a chance to even see it, he'd look to Miyako smiling brightly to her... only to see her eyes... those crimson hues. Though they were different now... more defined... More complex... and before he knew it, Suyashi would find himself dragged into a world that spiraled him in darkness... Alone... with Miyako?

"Wh-...WHAT WHERE AM I!? WHERE IS SHINZO!? MIYAKO!!!", Suyashi's mind would run frantic... he was under genjutsu but his weakness to it was exploited on a regular via those eyes. He'd have to learn to figure a way through this fog... but this Genjutsu took all of your senses and used them against you. His nose could not sniff him out of this... his power could not break it alone. This was the power of Tsukiyomi and Miyako seemingly had mastered it, such was to be expected from an Uchiha prodigy such as Miyako... thankfully she was on his side. For now, maybe the future would not hold the same dice in Suyashi's Favor...

Though now, he was stuck... His light crumbled... there was no light here... not even his spiritual energy would save him...

“Oh, I’m fine!” She waves her hand nonchalantly and offers a small shrug, “Mikasa sensei gave me this because my Sharingan in one eye is underdeveloped.” As he runs his finger under her eye, she can’t help but to shudder lightly, the gentle touch showing how much Shinzo really cares about her. Before Shinzo can say much more, Miyako’s eyes catch Suyashi’s.

“Hi Suyashi.” Miyako says with a smile, the whitespace around them echoing her words quietly. “Welcome to the Tsukiyomi.” She murmurs, slowly walking towards the young man before her. Her hand reaches outward to touch the center of his chest, a network of pain searing through his body, though causing no damage. The entire time, a smile rests on her lips, her figure somewhat graceful. As her hand leaves his chest, the pain does too and she offers him a nonchalant shrug, “Sorry about that.” The echoes call out in response to Miyako before the both of them are sucked back into the real world. “I just wanted to show you what I can do.”

Miyako turns to face Shinzo again, her Sharingan now gone and her hand reaching upward to remove her eyepatch. She sticks the small piece of cloth into her pocket and licks her lips, “What’d you say Shinzo? Sorry that we were both... occupied.”

The brown haired boy smiled as it seemed that Suyashi was extremely happy with the small gift that was headed his way. Though he was still impressed with the boy’s sensory skills in determining the contents of the bag. Shinzo wasn’t exactly too sure what was going on at that very moment in time. Something was going on between both Miyako and Suyashi, something out of the ordinary. The bag of manju hit the ground at the blonde haired boy’s feet, thankfully it held its form together and did not split open. With a sigh of relief, Shinzo watched on in an attempt to understand the events that were taking place just ahead of him.

With a few paces, Shinzo closed the gap between himself and his fellow teammates. Despite this strange turn of events, the youngest of the trio still held a smile upon his face. “What happened there guys? Is there something I missed or…” Shinzo stopped mid sentence as he watched Miyako turn to face him, he couldn’t help but rest his gaze on her. The boy sighed for a moment to compose himself before speaking. “So Miyako, what have you been hiding behind that eyepatch?”

[OOC: Sorry for the wait, been busy.]

'So this is the fabled Tsukiyomi... She's learned it so early...', shaking his head he knew that this was going to be something that he would look to see her using on others instead of himself. It was wonderful to see how his team was growing they were each finding themselves to be stronger than before. Each of them following a path that would set them to become some of the best this village had to offer in terms of fighting spirit and mental prowess. Sushi was proud to be apart of this team... apart of this family he was building.

"I see...", he couldnt move... but he would watch her hand reach up to his chest, and in that moment he'd feel his knees buckle causing them to shake and tremble as pain would course through his body. Burning flames of pain would cause him to yelp into the endless sky... her hand as quickly as it arrived would leave his chest allowing him a bit of a reprieve from the pain, but he would gasp for air up until they were sucked back into the real world. It all caused Sushi to fall to a knee gripping his head in pain as well as his chest...

"Gah! Miyako... I... Im glad we're on the same team...", though the look Sushi gave Miyako was something of a rival... something more than just a teammate. He saw the potential in that attack to him, His body was taken down by a mere Genjutsu... Was she really this strong? How had she'd grown so much in a short amount of time... who knew, but Sushi was definitely not going to let her leave him in the dust. But Sushi also saw... potential evil. Could her power corrupt her? Could he help save her from it if that did begin to happen? Who knew...

"She's been hiding vast amounts of chakra... and growth. She's likely stronger than the both of us as we are now...", Sushi believed it. He didnt want to think about it... but he knew his own weaknesses. He knew that he wasnt going to be able to keep her at bay with just his taijutsu or ninjutsu, he'd have to fight fire with fire when it came to her. So he would now be thinking of going to Mikasa... he needed to figure a way to learn genjutsu... or even a few that he could rely upon.

"...We're the strongest team when we work together, Heh. So when I get back to Konoha... we're going on an A Rank mission. Something to make our names have more meaning, and... Something to snuff in the faces of some of the others that we went to school with.", smirking he would look to them both awaiting their response, Sushi was competitive, and he loved a good fight especially if it was in good fun.
