Following along the path, Takeyashi was enjoying his relaxing hike through the countryside. He'd hunted down a couple of deer earlier, and had made himself a great venison stew for lunch. He didn't want to bother dealing with the people at the inns along the road — he didn't much care for them. He walked past them, not wanting to interact in any way with those people. He just wanted to keep to himself, and travel along the roads to the Earth Country lands. He heard they were peaceful, and rather nice. He figured, at this pace, he'd probably set up a camp somewhere for the night and end up at his destination in another day or two of traveling. He really wanted to make it there by night time, so that he could sit underneath the stars and get some inspiration for his poems.
