Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The pack of hunters prowled over the rooftops, they had been causing trouble for a while now with each flick of the paw, each movement of their tails and each meow or howl that they gave. They hunted late at night deciding to cause trouble when possible and it was down to their pack leader to direct them give them motivation and make sure that they had one focus and one drive. As he sat on the top of the rock he looked around to make sure that they were clear for the night of hunting. Before the other eight joined him behind him, sitting waiting to hear the orders.

Tonight, we hit that little runt that keeps prowling around the local neighbourhood, he has caused a few of us to get into trouble already with the local humans, he is linger down there we work together and make this quick. Split up once it’s done and remember meet back at the hide out once its completed.

After he had finished in what could be considered a lot of quick meows to the others of the team they broke up quickly. Making sure that they were stealthy this was a squad that had a purpose and that was violence tonight, after having caused issues already to the local shop owners now they had the opportunity to make sure that they hit hard and fast, seeing their target going through a local bin they knew he was stuck in the ally way with no way to escape. The leaders smirked to himself as he watched the unaware cat being surrounded by the group.

The attack came quickly and violent their communication had gotten them to be considered a gang of cats but right now their darker side came out as the howls and screams came out though it could be considered something on par with a massacre, the one solo cat had no change leaving a pool of blood escaping from the bin before the group broke away, though lying badly beaten and broken in a form of a shell the breaths came shallow from the body. It still had a small chance to live, but the leader glanced down once more at it before issuing the warning.

Don’t do anything stupid if you survive, remember we will hunt you and end the job if you make it out of this ally alive. Simple as that.

With that they vanished back into the night, it seemed that some of them had been less careful than the leader, a hair in this direction or a bloody paw print in another. They had not been as careful as before but what reason did they have, they all had a good amount of combat experience between them and nothing to fear as they all headed back into the hideout. The leader always first in and last out as his honour duty gave him that much of a privilege. Each cat checked behind them as they entered it seemed the attack tonight would go without any punishment.

Distant flickering. This darkest of scenery. It was taking him back to those wolves again. A grand adventure, faces and condensation. Yoshi went outside to take it all in. From his apartment he would tilt his head as he still happened to have his jumpsuit on from classes in the academy. He wasnt ready for the day to be over, he had too much fun in his learning. He was beginning to learn jutsu, they werent mastered but his chakra wasnt ready just yet to bring them out. However, his knack for Taijutsu was beginning to show. Just like his father, just like his mother. His body and path was mirrored to the two that were responsible for him being in this world. Who knew though, this was something that he hadnt considered. Following the path of a valiant Hero was something that he had always thought was meant for him. He had the blood running through his veins. However, why did it always feel off? Was he doing it wrong? 'Dad, what would you do?'

Just as he would begin to get lost in thought he would hear the rustling. There had been a scare for weeks. A Gang of some sort had been terrorizing and killing as they pleased. They had been caught before but this time... on this night Yoshi would put an end to these rodents of the night. Howls or Meows. He didnt care, this was going to stop. And it would be Yoshi to stop it. Not because of his father or mother... but because of him. He wanted it. This was the thrill of the battle for him. This was the thrill of doing the justice for what was right! And there was nothing to stop him. "Ma! I'll be back!", he called out through the sliding door before shutting it and locking it with his spare key. With that he'd jump from his balcony which was only a few stories up unto a near by wooden fence before landing to the dirt below. He had his sword on one side and his scrolls on his other coupled with some belt pouches and he was ready with ways to subdue these criminals.

He'd follow the sounds to where he'd heard them just moments before! Who knew what would happen on this night, he knew he had someone he could rely upon for this. "Kouza!", he'd call from over the fence where Kouza had been staying or at least thats what Yoshi thought. It didnt matter, he didnt have time to waste, so he after he would call him he'd rush off knowing Kouza would follow behind. He was one that had a knack for finding Yoshi whenever no one else could. Finally he'd made his way to the alley on the lower ground nearly passing by he would spot something dark entering a small corridor. 'Huh!?' most of the people had gone to sleep at this time of night. Most of the students as well... but not Yoshi. This was the beginning! He'd trot back to the spot were he'd thought he'd seen something... Before drawing his scrolls.

Shortly after the cats had dispersed into the night, leaving naught but bloody pawprints and some very afraid mice hidding in the cracks of the buildings in the near area, another growl could be heard. This growl however came from something bigger than your regular housecat and certainly meaner aswell. Heavens above, i shouldnt have eaten all the soup and porrdige on one day... Juko was clenching his teeth to distract himself from the pain as he was walking down the street. His stomach growled once again, probably loud enough to be noticed on the other side of the road. His parents had been gone for three days in a row this time around, leaving him with barely enough porridge to eat for one and a half days.
Aarghhh....! If this goes on i will probably starve on these streets... lonely... unloved... a vir...
A sudden movement to his right made him stop midsentence. There in the darkness, right next to a particularly stuffed trash bin... Juko's eyes wandered off to the trash bin and the halfway eaten chicken leg sticking out. Without waiting for his head to process the information it had just received his legs started moving, turning his body into the direction of the alley and bringing him in arm's length of the possible dinner. He could feel his saliva gathering in his mouth like a squad of well paid mercenaries before a big battle. Just a few inches before he would have reached the bin however he stopped his advance and looked down to the ground. Right next to the bottom end of the metallic bin a pair of yellow eyes was looking up to him and meowing quite miserably. His belly growled in response to the pathetic display which made the wounded animal twitch. A... cat? And it seems to be wounded, no, slashed to be more precise. Momentarily forgetting his hunger the young student kneeled in front of the bloodsoaked body. The yellow eyes followed his every motion and when the cat saw him coming closer it tried desperately, and unsuccessfully, to push its body further into the shadows and out of his reach. Awww, now now, come on little one. I may be hungry but im not desperate enough to eat a little wounded cat right off the streets. Juko showed a big smile which seemed to crease only when his belly loudly voiced its objection to his latest statement. Shush now, we are NOT eating a LIVING cat! A stern look towards his stomach and then again to the cat. I wonder what has happened to you? I should probably bring you to...er... some hospital or something like that? Suddenly he saw one single bloody pawprint, followed by drops of blood that seemed to picture the path of whoever had drenched his paws in the blood of inccocent cats. Curiously enough, the pawprint seemed to belong to a cat aswell.
Juko frowned.
Then he heard a sound back on the street and turning on his heel he readied himself to defend himself against possible demon cats coming at him.

It was just another night like all others for Akihito. Having left the academy for the day he decided to spend a few hours outside in order to avoid having to do his chores at home, which would probably cause his mother to yell at him but well... Nothing new about that. The night was always fascinating in Konoha, the lack of the usual hustle and bustle of both civilians and shinobi roaming around allowed many other sounds to be heard. Like the usual sounds of the night insects, the rustling caused by small animals going about their lives in the alleys and, now that there was no one around, the streets, the breeze, and all the other sounds one would expect from a hidden ninja village at night. The ANBU sure as hell became less subtle with the lack of sound in the village. Probably slight carelessness due to being in their own village.
Akihito had been roaming for what, maybe 3 hours now? Time was hard to keep up with when you stopped paying attention to the world around you. It was... relaxing. A nice way to decompress from the day to day activities. He had been thinking of going home as it was getting late when he heard it. It sounded horrible. Loud meowing was coming from the street around the corner, and not just any regular meowing but angry and pained one. There was also the sound of a scuffle going on. "What could be going on?" Did a few wild cats get into a territorial dispute? No, it was too violent for that. No way it was something that simple.
"Why couldn't my day just have ended with me going home and getting yelled at?" This was as far from relaxing as Akihito wanted his day to end. Oh well, no turning back now. Akihito started running and rounded the corner. What he saw did not encourage him at all. The first thing he noticed was a boy and his stance even further put Akihito on edge. It was a fighting stance turned ouwards from the alley he was next to. Having concluded that the boy was not responsible for the sounds because of his lack of injuries, Akihito decided to analyze the scene. It was... well, bloody. There were bloodied pawprints all around the entrance of the alley and a few bits of trash strewn around the ground. Well, that was for sure a sign that something was very wrong. But Akihito wasn't just going to let that discourage him. Maybe. Maybe if he was really silent he could go and warn something stronger than him to help? The angry meows were back, far closer. So close in fact that they came from both in front and behing him. Well, that idea vanished like a defective clone. "Well, no choice now..." Akihito approached the boy, gave him a nod and turned to the side opposite he was guarding. It appeared that fighting was the only choice remaining...

Before his name was even called out, Kouza had been awake and resting with his blade sitting between his legs. There was a lot that the young male had to contemplate and think about with the recent enrollment into the academy. His fate and future mainly settled as the base of his thoughts though other things such as his parents location or Yoshi's dreams. Tilting his head back against the wall, above him an open window to his small room which he was assigned in a communal residence considering his lack of parental guidance. This was why when Yoshi called out his name that Kouza heard it and responded rather quickly without really guessing the reasoning behind why. Shifting his weight to squat in the window, he saw that Yoshi was already on the move and a sigh escaped his lips as yet again he had been left to follow. Ensuring his blade was situated properly on his back, he'd hop out the window and follow his friend.

Mind you, Kouza was not overtly fond of prowling around in the middle of night especially since no reason had been given to why they were even out here. Honestly he was sure they would be reprimanded by Masa, a thought that suddenly sent a shiver down his spine and made him for a split second stop moving. Shaking off the feeling, he'd continue to walk in Yoshi's shadow and silence as he posed not a single question as to what was going on. This was just his personality to not really question Yoshi, a position which others would see as being sub-servant. The truth was that he simply did not hold ambitions for life and proxied his worth and purpose through Yoshi who has always been optimistic. Such was his degree of dependency that Kouza even at fourteen had yet to develop a sense of individualism. Caught in his own whirlpool of thoughts, he almost did not become aware that Yoshi had stopped and was in a backpedal. For a moment he would of ran into him but stepped to the side with an eyebrow raised.

"What are you----"

Between the words of the two other boys who were in the alley which Yoshi and Kouza now stood before and the very obvious bloody prints scattered around, Kouza's words had been cut off. He understood now what had distracted Yoshi to the area and why he had drawn his scrolls. Having a gut feeling about all of this it was evident that they could not just ignore what was going on and in ensuring his friend's back was covered Kouza drew his blade. The katana had a faint red discoloration to it's blade and the night seemed only to cause that discoloration to be more prominent in the streetlight.

"Your mother is going to scold us for this, you know that right. Still can't ignore it now...."

He held his blade with both hands on the handle, his grip relaxed as although he had some proficiency with the weapon it was still a long time before his kenjutsu was perfected. With that said his palms would angle the blade downwards and a bit behind him.....

With the kids making so much noise it really didn’t take long for the sentry guards that had been placed around the village to catch sigh of them. Though stealth abilities were the cats trained fighting style this group was the vanguard. Experienced in combat and brutal in strategy…. well as brutal as a cat can truly be. The scar running down the right eye of the lead cat showed his history already, as the vanguard assembled threw a series of meows and cat calls in the night. They soon found that the four of them were back together and in an easy situation to be involved in.

What we need to do is corner this gang, they seemed to have stepped into the middle of this situation and I would prefer them to be well out of the way of it. But since they offered aid to our enemy we must do something about this situation, send a messenger to the boss tell them we will be engaging with the enemy and trying to stop their advance. If we fail break off and head to the usual outpost where we will have to consider out next moves more carefully.

As the group moved to surround the students it seemed that they had prepared this situation in advanced. The setup had that had been completed was clear, making sure that they had the higher ground and were in the advantage points was a key position. As claws scrapped across roofs those that lingered in the ally would find that two cats were on each roof top staring down at them, though they waited not wanting to attack out of the gates and wanting to take their time. It was clear that they needed to make sure they had the proper set up and orders to attack.

With the grey body and the scar on the face it was the final cat that came to the entrance of the ally way, its body scratch and missing parts, with a meow the other four jumped down into the ally way it seemed that the vanguard was preparing to fight. And it wouldn’t be long before these students found themselves out numbered if they were not careful. Though two of the kids had not fully entered the leader stood behind them blocking a retreat if it was going to be had. Its body arched up hissing coming from its lips as its eyes narrowed clearly ready for the fight.

The students had a decision to make, with cats all around them all poised ready to strike it was now a count down until they got their first dealing with this team of savage cats. Would they be able to defeat the vanguard and have more clues as to what was happening in leaf, or would they be brought to a scratched mess? This was their first true trials in life and they found themselves fighting a well organised cat squad from hell as words would be put.

And it would seem to be that all of the access would be taken from them, however, this was something that he would have to ensure focus upon. This was something unlike anything else he'd gone through and with that motion he would give the notion for Kouza to get that Lotion. That Lotion was going to indeed mean that things would get slippery but at least they wouldn’t be ashy going through this. They were surrounded. And there were two kids Yoshi knew nothing about. This was something that could have been avoided, but Yoshi was not like his father or mother. He was not an ANBU. But he had to be, he couldn’t fail at something that was in his blood to do. It was imperative that he get himself together before continuing. However, he was knee deep in a serious situation. These felines seemed to be carrying the notion that they would soon be poised for their strike, Suyashi would nod, looking over to Kouza before speaking, "I know Kouza… But we're in a predicament. However, there are five of them and four of us. We can handle this."

With that Suyashi would pull Kunai from his scroll before nodding once more, he would think. How could he get into Hero Mode? And it hit him, he had been training for a while, self-teaching himself techniques that were primed for this situation. Though it would be tough considering that he wasn’t a master of them quite yet, but he was well on that he could manage to attack at least two of the cats at a time. He knew he had a belt pouch with some water bottles (Water balloon Item), that he would save for later but this would be his change to show off a bit? Nah, this wasn’t the time. He wanted to help these people… Well he knew he didn’t have to worry about Kouza. They had practiced for a long time honing one another. However, they had never fought full on… yet. It would happen. And this would be Suyashi's examination of his skills along with the others. Competition. He loved it.

Aiming for the two Cats infront of him though he would pull two Kunai from his scroll tossing them at the cats with full vigor aiming at one with all of his might then spinning his body and tossing another Kunai at the next cat… though with slightly less force than the first strike! It wasn’t pretty but fighting never was… this next round would be his chance to really show off… Maybe… He was trying not to. However, he might not have a choice but to being out his ninjutsu at this rate. 'Do you see me dad? Maybe if you hadn't died I might have been more skilled… but this is my skill. My work. Will you see me? Can you hear me? I wish you were here to guide me through all of this. I wish I had you… I wish I could see you more than just in your pictures.', overcome with emotion he would huff out watching out for any of his comrades. And he would look to block any attacks from the oncoming Kitties. Here's to his first taste of what a mission was.

Suddenly things happened really quickly. Where Juko had expected an assault by demonic cats instead several teenagers came running around the corner, politely ignoring him and his defensive stance and each taking a position surrounding him and the injured cat. Eh? Each of them seemed to be entirely fixated on something in the dark outside of Juko perception and none seemed to be the least surprised to see Juko standing above the silently meowing cat, guarding it. Well, nobody ecxept me that is... Who is that? And who is that other guy... and his weird friend too? Arent they just a bit to cooperative for arriving that coincidental? He furrowed his brows and clenched his fists. Oy!, Who are you lot? Do you have anything to do with...
Before he could finish the sentence however, another meowing sound slowly invaded the alley. What is this, casual cat friday?? Juko stared into the dark for a few moments before realizing that the sounds came from above them and raising his eyes. On the roofs of the buildings to each side where four cats sitting and looking down on them, each one hissing threateningly at the boys. Ah boy, just what did i get myself into... i didnt want anything more than some porridge for this evening, not hang out with some strange kids fighting cats... He pulled a grimace and contemplated his chance to pass by the two boys in front of him and make it home before anyone would notice. The silent and sad meowing coming from the injured cat to his fee tstopped him in his thoughts. Glancing down he saw that the bleeding cat was focussing him with big dark eyes. Oh my, you sure are a handfull, arent you? Dont look at me like that, i aint gonna run away like some random coward! Juko sighted and quickly wrapped some of his bandages around the cats most griveous wound before turning his attention back at the intruders above him. Aight, be prepared to face hell!
Just moments after the other yellow haired brat started his assault using shuriken Juko himself followed likewise by gathering up wind chakra in his fingers and slashing through the air. Each hand produced a thin, near invisible blade of air that was aimed at two of the pairs of yellow eyes above them.

They were in quite the bind now, at least that was how he saw it and there was no telling how Yoshi was seeing all this. Regardless of this their present condition had caused a sense of worry to come over Kouza. While he was confident enough to act when needed, he did have a tinge of doubt in performing well. His eyes would divert to the steel of his blade, slightly tilting it's surface until the ambient nightlights shown the crimson discoloration on it's edge. The boys breathing would slow before using his left hand would retrieve a small leaf which was stored in his pocket. Placing the leaf against his forehead, Kouza's chakra would be controlled through that small space on his forehead to keep the leaf in place. While he was growing his skills in kenjutsu while at the academy, he still had some difficulty manipulating chakra. To say he had subpar control was be generally correct and to remedy this he had been training his swordsmanship while working to maintain a steady flow of chakra.

"....Yoshi--"

He was cut off by the actions of another boy in the alley having been aware of his presence from his prior speech. Reacting as his body moved with the subconscious thoughts of his mind, Kouza's form would thrust upwards into the air. Rotating himself slightly as his trajectory pushed him between the boy and the cats, he now was face to face with the oncoming wind jutsu. Adjusting his right palm upon his weapon, the katana blade would be positioned before his body. His free left hand however would do something unusual in that the fingers would be weaving handseals. The seals which were made by his left hand would mimic half of the usual seals which took to hands. Being still a novice with his chakra flow, Kouza had only enough skill with doing this that he was only able to cast a basic jutsu using his wind nature chakra. Naturally he was limited to the same on his right hand, that being only able to form the seals for a basic water nature jutsu.

"Wind Release....Wind Slash!"

Unlike the boy who used his fingertips to send out the condensed blades of wind, Kouza's medium was his katana, which would become coated in dense chakra. As the chakra ground against itself along his blade in alternating directions it would create an edge. Slashing out his weapon twice, Kouza would direct the chakra that formed the jutsu outwards in arcing paths aimed solely to intercept and negate the other Wind Slash used by the boy. Rotating before landed on the ground with a skid, he'd take no chances and quickly re-established his footing.

"Damaging the buildings around us is only going to end badly...!"

That was what he spoke in a quick series of words, words which were spoken for all to hear and understand. Launching himself back into the air, he'd have his blade's edge pointed behind him. Once nearing a cat, he'd perform a basic slashing motion hoping to strike the feline with the blunt back-end of his sword.

This situation was... not good. As soon as the cats had arrived chaos had isntalled itself and Akihito had no idea what to do. Why didn't I just turn around and go on my merry way... Well, no use whining now. In a moment the boys all started moving. One of the boys began by throwing kunai at the cats, which was pretty basic but still a pretty essential shinobi skill, the one who had been at the alley at the start sent a blade of wind towards the kits which was... promptly blocked by the one with the sword. Huh, aren't we all on the same side? Why did he block the attack? Said boy then sent his own attack towards the cats by using his sword to slash at them. Weird, and not at all cooperative. How are we going to win this if we get in eachother's way?
Let's see, we have cats on the rooftops and cats on the ground... Well, we're completely surrounded so the first order or business would be to clear a way out in case of necessity. Which is going to be significantly harder considering the fact that we're not a cohesive team and we're outnumbered... Well, improvisation it is then. Having pondered on the situation that he had found himself stuck in, Akihito started thinking of a course of action to take. Direct attacks would be useless, Taijutsu was his weakest point. Ninjutsu was also out of the question as despite his talent, he did not know any good enough to defeat the cats. Weaponry was something he was sorely lacking as he had left his basic supplies at home, this was supposed to be just a walk afterall! All that left him with only one viable option. Genjutsu... Guess I'll be playing support then.

Akihito lowered his voice in order for the cats not to hear him and spoke to the boys. "We either work together or the cats will outnumber us, flank us and defeat us. We can't just run around and hope it works for the best. We have to work as a team and not get in eachother's way. I'll be on a support role in this battle as the only thing I can do right now with any impact is Genjutsu. You work out your attack patters between eachother."

Well, time to get to work. With that thought, Akihito started focusing his chakra and cast a Genjutsu on 2 of the cats that were being attacked by the other boys.
Used Eye Strain (Rank 1) on 2 of the cats being attacked.

The students where the ones that jumped into the fight the first, not sure if they meant to be so aggressive straight away but knowing full well it was time to react to the direct threat that lingered beside them. Instantly the two groups seemed to have sprung into actions, claws and teeth on one side and full-blown weapons on the other side, it hardly seemed a fair trade off, but experience was something these cats had over the students and they were more cunning than they looked at first glance. Something that would be learned shortly from the vanguard team.

Teams attack in squads, don’t let them pin you down and do not fall back to the base, if we are going down we will make sure that blood becomes part of this, make them suffer and make them learn how to pay for the crimes that they have committed against our brethren. Remember no-one fall back and stick together.

It seemed that the two lines would be clashing together. What would be considered combat if you could call it that while fighting a cat gang, As the students begin drawing weapons the cats are already in action, moving swiftly and using their tails to keep their balance with ease. Making sure their claws are razor sharp in that split second knowing full well that they were now making sure they protected their boss, the commander of the vanguard slunk free and into the shadows into a split second. The others jumped down and pounced at the students, it seemed that the knives where coming out ready to attack and prepare to fight off the cats.

The students were already on the outset, the first cat caught off guard by the incoming student, the first strike landing inside the fur as a feral howl went up into the air, filling the ally with a hair-raising screech, the second slung past as the car spiralled away from it landing on the ground and hissing towards the man that had thrown the projectile. As it sprung up and slashed out with its hand the claws dragging across what the cat thought was skin but found no marks remained to show the damage that had been done, as it landed and backed away slightly.

While wind gusted down the alley it seemed that one of the students that was now in the fight was trying to get himself a bit too involved in the combat, as he allowed the wind to rush down the alley though before any real damage was done it seemed to disperse as another gust of wind met with it head on. As Cats three and four instantly lunged themselves back towards the man that had attacked, it seemed that they wanted to fight for their friend in that split second as their claws and teeth sunk into the legs of student who had stopped the damage to the street.

It seemed that the final student wanted to support the rest of his team, as he allowed himself to cast Genjutsu towards the combat deciding to enter this fight before anything else started. One cat seemed to not feel anything as it glared back its eyes simple and cautious, finally the last one shivered slightly as it started to whimper as slightly pain echoed into its body as it tried to stand tall in that split second.

The vanguard leader seemed to have come to the same conclusion that the boy sitting at the back throwing around shady jutsu would have to be dealt with as he darted out his claws coming out and slashing the boy in a flurry of simple attacks that would cut threw his clothes. Deep into his skin and make sure that he was bleeding for the damage he had done to the vanguard. It seemed that the fight was truly on.

...Just a young gun with a quick fuse
I was uptight, wanna let loose
I was dreaming of bigger things
And wanna leave my own life behind...
Sushi could feel it in his muscles. The moments looking around at his comrades firing off jutsu. And it caused Suyashi to think about things for the moment. He was ready for this. He was feeling the adrenaline rushing through his veins. The thrill of battle and the worry of his friends. Wanting to protect everyone and take the felines alone. He imagined them all ten year older, all fighting side by side to take down a threat that came to their village. He could see them, pushing back an enemy... seeing his friends hurt! It caused him flash forward, he wanted nothing more than to end this. He wanted nothing more than to defeat this nuisance. This phantom menace, who haunted his village and hurt through fear and the shadows! He would not stand for such things to surmise themselves in his village! This may not have been the soil he was born on, but he was sure to believe that he was home when he was here! He would be one of the leaders of this village one day. He lived to be someone that could be looked to for guidance and understanding. "KOUZA!"
...Not a yes sir, not a follower
Fit the box, fit the mold
Have a seat in the foyer, take a number
I was lightning before the thunder...

Clutching his fists together he felt like everything was in slow motion. He wanted to feel it in his soul, he wanted to go back and show the world what he'd done and the story that led him to his glory. This was the story of how he began to gain the respect of his comrades. This was going to be te beginning of everything, but it wouldnt if he couldnt manage to move his body. He watched the world around him with a charged thought of anger. This was going to charge him, push him to be someone that he was going to become. He would be like his father? Or his Mother? A great Kage for others to remember, to have his face carved in stone. Etched in history. No. That wasnt Sushi's role. Shaking his head a bit he found himself back in the fray of it. So he would continue to act.
...Kids were laughing in my classes
While I was scheming for the masses
Who do you think you are?
Dreaming 'bout being a big star...

Smirking he would look to the work ahead of him and then he realized that this was a cake walk compared to what he would go through, this was a stepping stone to his next work. He would wear the banner of a Leaf Shinobi with pride. Nodding once again he found himself forming handseals before chiming out, "Katon: NETSU HARA!" he'd shout before bellowing out a stream of Fire! And it was aimed at the Cat in the back! This took all of his might because Fire ninjutsu wasnt his thing, but if he could get a good enough stream out he could potentially scare the cats. Especially the ones attacking Kouza. To which he would smirk when he was done, but at any pace this was all he could muster in the time that he was alotted! Who knew what would come next! This would be exciting to say the least!
...You say you're basic, you say you're easy
You're always riding in the back seat
Now I'm smiling from the stage while
You were clapping in the nose bleeds...

Frustration rose in Juko as he watched his precious air blade beeing cut down mid-air by an intervening air blade. The two shimmering sickles clashed together midair and destroyed each other's chakra flow in a loud yet shortlived bang. What the? Are you being serious here? What! Why?With a face that seemed to be unable to decide whether to openly show the frustration or switch it in for pure confusion Juko turned towards the perpetrator. His eyes quickly glanced over the young boys facial features and finally focussed on the single leaf sitting on the sames forehead. Whats that supposed to be? Hoping to grow yourself a brain?? Boy, he cant be any older than me and yet hes already using a blade... how did he shoot off that jutsu with the sword in his hand anyway?! Shit...i dont like him, already. Stupid Porridge-for-brains... Juko forgot about the cats momentarily and closed his eyes for a splitsecond, finding his centre before the sounds of screeching and meowing cats pulled him back into reality.
Even before he rotated back to face the animal attackers he brought up his arms to guard against eventual attacks only to find the cats either jumping straight at the other boy with yellow hair, Shorter than mine though, beginner... , or sailing straight over him and digging into the other kids.
Following the path of flight Juko suddenly found himself utterly alone. Each of the other students, as he blindly assumed them all to be, seemed to be involved in a direct conflict with a cat. Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?! He stared at the leafhead and saw the two cats clinging to his adversary. Heh. Serves you just right for countering my jutsu just like that, stupid blade leaf...head.. boy! However much joy he felt with the boy being assaulted by multiple cats, the first droplets of blood calmed him immediately. So you can stop my attack but not these two cats? Are you telling me my jutsu was weaker than these two bundles of fur?
Clenching his fists Juko charged the boy, totally forgetting that now would have been be a perfect time to take the wounded cat and make for a run. Chakra flowed through his fists as he took aim at a dark cat that seemed to be biting straight into his nightly rival. Well, how about that then!

He had thought he was doing the right thing in that moment by preventing the other students from causing physical damage to the surroundings, though as their words entered his ears it would seem that the logic behind his actions were homegrown and understood solely by himself. Maybe it was this lapse of thoughts which had made him so vulnerable to being counter-attacked in that space and time, as even in his trance of thoughts he did not really feel pain from both claws and teeth sinking into his skin. The truth was that he did not want to feel it, that a part of his mind was afraid to recognize being so easily attacked despite all the training he had put into improving recently. His body shuddered slightly, the warm feeling of blood trinkling along his skin bringing his body and mind back to reality. His eyes widened slightly with his pupils oscelating back and forth. A single object would break away from his control, leaving the leaf which had been locked to his forehead to fall to the ground.

The other kids around him, if they caught wind of his situation would naturally assume that Kouza had been frozen with fear. It was not a hard conclusion to come by though since the boy had just been attacked and yet stood frozen in place with the only movement coming from his bodies muscles trembling. While fear was a good guess the truth was that Kouza was not afraid and his eyes had recovered quickly, locking onto the crimson stream that ran along his arm. This feeling which overwhelmed his body now was not a primal instinct of fearing a situation but something that held a trigger for him which was rooted in two truths, both stemming from blood. His blood was racing, excitement drumming within his mind as his focus became tunneled with a single vision, a single objective which he would fight towards. Whether Yoshi was aware of it or not but Kouza had inherited his father’s fabled bloodlust though his body had adjusted to it on a different spectrum. His pupils had dilated to such a degree that coupled with a flooding amount of adrenaline, Kouza had subconsciously triggered his own bodies flight or fight response mechanism.

“I know Yoshi!”

His response though late to Yoshi’s call out was immediate as he moved with calculated steps, actions which before would not have been performed. However in this state, Kouza did not act based on his over-engaged thought process but the complete opposite. In this moment, Kouza’s mind was operating very little on the personal thought scale and had pushed more focus on his muscle and movement response. To put it bluntly, Kouza had abandoned his wandering thoughts and forced his body to enter a primal almost instinctive state.

It would be quick, but his katana’s handle was passed from his right hand to his left with his right palms fingertips quickly weaving through a series of handseals which could be recognized as half of the usual handseal forms considering he was only doing it one handed. Inhaling, his chest would expand slightly though this would not be the only change as the air around his body would immediately experience a sudden temperature drop. The cats latched onto him and Juko who was near would feel the intense cold first, with the radial temperature drop permiating through the rest of the alley like a wave.

”Hyouton…Pressurized Mist”

His head would tilt downwards before expelling a stream of mist towards the ground that quickly expanded outwards with a strong force behind it. Although the jutsu was ordinarily a water release one, Kouza had demonstrated an ability to change the nature of the water jutsu, instead converting it’s make up slightly so that the mist itself carried with it an absolute chill which clung to the body. This however was not all as somewhat thanks to the chakra control training he had been doing, the mist structured itself into three individual streams once it struck the ground and fired outwards suddenly to engulf both the cats latched onto him as well as the cat struck earlier by Yoshi’s projectiles.

Use Pressurized Mist R2 Special Action (To target an additonal target) w/Minor Affinity Move Spread (To target an additional target) w/Haku Bloodline Passive Flash Freeze R1

Akihito shouted as the bigger and most scarred of the cats attacked him. He had not expected them to come for him. He expected them to be just animals. Well, he miscalculated badly. Damn, this hurts! Damned cat and damned fight and damn it all! Knowing that getting pinned down by the cat would not help him at all, Akihito shoved the cat with as much force as he could and jumped back so as to put as much distance between himself and the furry fiends. He was not a close quarters fighter! He could not keep this up if they attacked him.

What do I do? What do I do? I need to be safe in order to cast these genjutsu and cripple the cats. He looked around and saw the other kids fighting. The one with the sword, Kouza, appeared to have been attacked too, which was not at all good for them, and was now preparing a jutsu, Suyashi aimed a Katon jutsu at the cats and the other blond boy seemed to be trying to help Kouza. A bit uncoordinated but not too bad. At least they were attacking and helping eachother.

I've gotta distract them. If they are distracted, it'll be easier for the rest to hit them. But attacking now would guarantee I'll get attacked... Maybe... Akihito ran to the middle of the boys, trying to get as many sides covered as possible so the cats would have difficulty attacking him. Time to see how they deal with a bit of a distraction... Akihito focused his chakra and once again started casting his genjutsu.

It seemed that both groups were now in a clash for their lives. If it could be considered that then right now it was going down at full pace. It seemed that the students had the upper hand as blood splattered the streets from both sides clashing in the violence that had been considered normal for this type of interaction. Howls and screeches went up in that split second as the cats begun to fight once more with the group of students that had blocked their way, it was clear that the vanguards line was finally faltering and breaking in that split second.

It seemed the vanguard captain was having a bad time with the heat from one of the students as it lashed at his fur making him ark up as he tried to move away from the heat that had managed to hit into him. It seemed some of the other students were preferring the old fashion method of getting stuck with a mixture of rocks being hurled which managed to slam into a cat. Followed by a Taijutsu combination it was clear that some of these students had potential and were out there to prove that they could use it.

At the same time this was going on it seemed that the Haku was getting involved with ice and water. It was clear that he had been practicing his bloodline and now was the time for him to show his abilities, as he allowed the stream of ice mist to come from landing on some of the nearest cats that allowed themselves to howl in the pain that had overcome them so quickly. Instantly they backed off still on the defensive, but it was clear that they were now on the losing side of this match up as they tried to get free.

The last team member attacked with purpose and clarity, it was clear that they had managed to make sure that they were also fighting back. Claws and teeth came forward once more as it slashed out at the students before the fight was clearly lost this was one of those final attacks in that situation. Instantly the leader was once more howling away as it tried to communicate with the vanguard in ordering the fall back of the cats that had been given to him under his command, though he was in a beaten and broken state himself he still commanded them with the authority expected of someone in his leadership.

Fall back, scatter and make sure you’re not followed. It seemed that we have no chance of winning this one. Make sure that you escape quickly and efficiently and do not get followed in this situation. No-one is to be captured. Break away now!

With that meowing that had come free it seemed that all of the cats instantly were on the move and getting out of the way in this situation, clearly trying to get free from the students and they all vanished into different routes leaving the students with the cat that had been injured in the ally alone. It seemed they had managed to give the cat gang a warning that would be sent back to the base. They had completed their first mission as a team and would be rewarded for it.

"COME BACK HERE!!!"

Kouza was not satisfied with this, his tunnel vision still keeping only one objective for his body as when the cats started to flee he did not give no pause. Instead the boy moved quickly, his body lunging upwards with his blade having switched hands in the process. There would be a rotation in his movements, his body spinning counter-clockwise before a sudden explosion of wind chakra forced his spin to rapidly accelerate. For a moment the features of his form were undistinguished from a mass of concentrated air and the glint of his blade's edge. Unfortunately he barely missed the cat that had been his target and breaking the attack was for a moment, hovering in the air before landing back on the ground. Securing his footing, Kouza's head was low as his katana was slowly sheathed. There would be no exchange of words neither to the other boys or Yoshi, though as he walked away from the scene Yoshi would get the first look of Kouza's eyes and how seriously dilated his pupils had become. It would not be his eyes that would tell Yoshi to let him be, but the expression on his face as he passed him. Ignoring the bleeding, for now his adrenaline and instinct bade him to take out his frustrations somewhere....he needed to vent else his blood instinct would go untamed. Placing his palm along his shoulder as he walked away, the blood on him and his wounds would freeze over, with the blood streams breaking away from his body while the ice keeping the wounds closed prevented further bleeding.

Next time....Next time for sure.

Feeling equally ignored by both the boy with the sword and the cats surrounding said boy, Juko put more power into his punch than initialy planned, slamming his fist not only into the cat but also forcing his body to stagger forward after the actual hit for almost another meter. The excitement one could feel upon succeeding flooded Juko, making him shiver with thrill. THIS is how you deal with these cats! Didnt take much to get rid of you. HaHA! He laughed loudly, despite his body contuinuing to shiver. It was only when the trembling turned from an emotional response into a physical response that Juko realized that it was caused by something else but his excitement. He turned around, his long hair flowing around his body in a half circle. Making him, the young hero Juko, seem like an embodiment of the very sun itself! Suddenly grinning thanks to his own thoughts he focussed his attention back to the boy that had just a few moments ago seemed frozen with fear.
Now however the very same kid had obviously formed a jutsu. With one hand?... How does he keep doing that, you CANT do seals with just one hand! Jukos face produced a frustrated frown that quickly turned sour when the cold mist that was apparently coming from his momentary rival reached him. The cats around him shreeked loudly, drowning out Juko's own shout of surprise and pain as the cold fog bit into his skin. Shit, man, are you fighting ME or are we fighting these stupid kitkats? Can you please for heavens sake stop using your jutsus on ME? Cause if you dont, then i swear, i will punch you into the face hard enough to imprint that stupid leaf into your forehead! Having been repeatedly hit or countered by the boys jutsus had caused great irritation in Juko which now showed. After having shouted at the other academy student however Juko noticed that the leaf he had been referring too had left the others face and was now lying on the ground, a thin sheet of rime covering it.
Aaah i see. I guess he has just lost control over his jutsu right there... but still, that was pretty cold for a... water jutsu? Or was that air element? Something really doesnt fit with this kid right here... He blinked slowly twice, his eyes still focussed on the leaf. A tree feather.... Before he could apologize to the katana wielding boy another shout from behind him pulled from out of his blank stare.
Juko swiftly turned around, almost prepared to be attacked by another one of the kids but saw only the fourth of their small group facing off against a particular big and scarred cat. The fight seemed fairly onesided for a few moments where the cat was viciously scratching at the boy before getting shoved off of his body. Just what is it with these people, none of them can even defend themself against cats? They cant be much older than me and yet theyre so weak...
The unknown boy was immediately starting to cast a jutsu, however Juko couldnt see anything happening which only fortified his idea of the other students strength.
Juko decided that his help was more than just necessary, it seemed he was the only one capable enough to fend off the smallsized predators. Raising his fists once more he started preparing another jutsu to shoot at the felines before the biggest cat in front of him emitted a loud meowing sound, close enough to a roar to be almost impressive yet not quite deep enough to actually startle its opponents. WIth a few quick, defensive swipes of its paws at the students it jumped backwards, vanishing in the dark murky shadows of the alley and Juko could only hear the sounds of soft paws hitting stone for another heartbeat or so before silence engulfed them. What? Already leaving? Yeah, you better! Boy, i was just about to pull a move on all of you! All of you, do you hear me? He shouted after the cats as he turned around and saw that all their other enemies were leaving the scene aswell. Only the wounded cat was left now. Kneeling next to it the blonde haired boy noticed not only that the injured cat was wearing a small pearl-like orb on a necklace but also that he was once again beeing targeted by the boy with the sword. The air above him turned into a sudden maelstrom of rushing air as the guy lifted himself in the air slashing with his sword. Dude, seriously, willl you cut that out?! Really not cool... Watching the cold boy leave the alley without a comment Juko put the little red marble into his pockets and decided to drop out of this irritating "team" action aswell. Shouldve just stayed home and eaten my porridge...

As quickly as everything started it would sourly come to an end, they would begin running off the felines and things wouldnt get any worse. They'd won the battle! Sushi would take this moment to think back, he'd be taking a trip with Tsukasa out of the village in order to train up a bit. She was going to show him how to better his aim, and things of that sort. If he did well enough he would learn some nice jutsu from her... but he wanted to learn more than jutsu. He wanted to become better. At every phase, to become better was the only way he could see himself was to be the best, or always striving to be the best. To go beyond, to exceed his limits... but not in the ways of Hachimon. He would not do such things, he'd rely on something else... more natural like the lightning he conjured. Could it be that he was on the edge of himself? Could it be that he was something different than he was before he joined Konoha? He was becoming stronger by the day and there was nothing that could stop him. Nothing at all that could come in his path or knock him down... because he would get knocked down Twenty times and the twenty-first he would succeed in his goals.

So it was there he would look over to Kouza, noticing the look in his eyes. That look, something he knew... and at this point Kouza was leeps and bounds stronger and more strategic than he was, maybe that was his down fall but he would not take no for an answer whenever they would truly face one another. And with this he couldnt help himself... but this would drive him to want to train ten times harder... the look in his eyes was something that spoke to him. That blank determination, something he could not determine himself. However, this would definitely be something that he would look back on... and know that Kouza was on another level when he got into his zone. And with that he wouldnt stick around, following Kouza until he lost track of him, Sushi would stand atop one of the buildings looking up at the moon.

'I will be the best...'

More coordinated than at the start, the four boys fought against the cats. The felines were pushed back further and further. Soon they would be defeated and the four nin-in-training would be victorious. Heh, serves them right for attacking us like that.
Fire flew from Suyashi's mouth, a icy mist fell upon the cats and Juko quickly striked at them. A deadly trio, all ready to fight against their enemies, all the while Akihito stood in the middle providing support by blinding their whiskered foes.
It seemed the battle was reaching a crescendo but then, as quickly as they had attacked, the cats ran. With their retreat the battle was finally over and the boys could relax. Akihito slumped near the alley's wall, resting after this unexpected fight and checking on his wounds. Heh, guess they weren't so tough after all. Idiots. Well, they did manage to attack me but in hindsight, these wounds are pretty small. I'll need to get them treated though, don't want to have them infect. Despite his introspective mood, Akihito was still able to see the other boys leave. Suyashi seemed... determined? Maybe. Kouza just looked pissed at something, maybe his little dispute with Juko? Well, if that's all it was then there was no need to leave so rudely. Juko though looked as belligerent as he had been throughout the entire fight. Kinda glad those two didn't decide to turn to me... What the hell happened to them while fighting?
As he finished bandaging the scratches with a piece of cloth of his now ripped clothes, Akihito heard a low meow. Looking to his side, into the alley, he saw the small cat that eh presumed was the catalyst for all this. He didn't look well at all... Guess they really did a number on you huh, buddy? The little one was pretty injured. Injuries like those would not be all that threatening to a human but to a small cat... Well, they were quite problematic. Not going to leave you here to bleed to death, little buddy, don't worry.
Calmly approaching the cat, in order not to spook it, Akihito tried to convey that he was not a threat. At first the feline tried to get away but with his injuries and the deliberate care Akihito had in his movements, he eventually allowed the boy to get closer. Ripping a piece of fabric from his sleeve, Akihito got to work in bandaging the little cat. His mewls of pain were pitifully low, a testament to how much he had endured. The boy couldn't help but feel a pang of remorse for not having been there sooner to prevent this. Would he be too late to help those who he cared about too? Guess we're both small and weak huh? Pitiful and unable to do anything unless helped. Really is a painful realisation, the fact that I've been training for two years and I am unable to do anything useful by myself. My Genjutsu barely had any effect on the cats and I ended up helpless and the big one jumped at me... Akihito looked at the cat at his feet. Had the others not been there I would've ended up like you, mobbed by a bunch of cats.
Akihito finished bandaging the cat but noticed that, despite the fact that less blood was being spilt, the cat still looked really weak and hurt. Bandages won't heal the injuries you already have... Maybe I should take you to a veterinary or a med-nin. Though the latter are more likely to be busy with other patients. With his decision made, Akihito carefully picked the little feline up and, just like the boys before him, departed the alleyway where they had been battling just minutes before.
He eventually reached a small veterinary and, with some persuasion, managed to convince the old man to treat the cat. He stayed and watched the little one be sutured and his wounds disinfected. Engraving the image into his mind, Akihito steeled his resolve. I will become stronger. I will not be helpless again. I will not allow this to happen again in the future.
In the end, the little cat was healed, though it didn't seem like it would be capable of caring for himself for a while. His wounds had been too extensive for him to be able to feed himself. It seems the duty would unwittingly fall upon Akihito's shoulders. "Guess if I went this far, I might as well go all the way. What do you think? Taeru sounds like a good name, no?"
