Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The morning at the gates didn't quite go as he had planned, to gain access towards one of the temporary passports wasn't going as smooth as anything. "Yeah yeah... I know there is a missing around somewhere, I don't care I have to do this mission..." he gritted his teeth. The guards were even more on edge than usual and Shion blew a fuse on them for not even letting him do a simple mission because those baffoons couldn't stop someone. He wasn't exactly making friends at this point either with them, but after hesitation, he did get his temporary passport. "For !@#$ sakes..." He scolded as he started to walk towards Crater City.

As he was heading to their hangout, he put a cloud of smoke up and walked inside, started to sit down on the couch. He had gotten already used to the smoking bit and how it was filling on his lungs. "I need coffee.." He muttered as he would eventually place the fedora on his lap and waiting for the others. "and here I am the first one... damn..." This morning he even had been handling foul play on their turf in the Oak streets... One that didn't leave Shion unharmed. He had skit marks on his cheek from a fist and it was swollen. Yet as he started to gain towards their Hangout point, he would just walk in, sit down and groan. "Now where are others..." he said as he placed his fedora over his face after the smoke, almost like a small blindfold to catch at least some rest.

Za would slip out of the village as he had been doing for quite sometime, leaving through an underground crack in the chink within the armor of the gates. He made sure that he would set out with Sumiko. Without a proper arm prosthetic Za would be half strength right now. However, it was this time that he knew things would be okay, since finding out about his arm she never seemed to leave his side. Not that he had a problem with it, but he felt that if things were going the way they were, he would have to figure out that Jiongu as fast as he possibly could. It made him feel very human knowing that he could be taken out so easily by something like a random monster.

They would venture through the gates and out the village areas, knowing that they could be declared missing if they continued doing this would make Za second think this for the next time, however, with Sumiko in tow, Za would march forward until he reached the location where he was supposed to report to. With that in question now he would meet eyes with Shion, he could feel the chakra radiating from Shion, it was different but the same. Something that he didnt surmise to speak on just yet, but it was strong... darker... 'Shion's gotten stronger...' but alas this was the time he would look around awaiting the arrival of Nobu.

Sumiko was already awake when Za came into her room to wake her, she was found looking over a note that was left under her door she later found out it was the same one that he had received from Nobu, they knew what they had to do without needing the other to confirm it so that is what they did, it was the early hours of the morning by the time she and Za reached his secret way beyond the walls and on their way towards Crater City.

The journey was largely uneventful, Sumiko walked close to Za, ever since the night on Hokage Rock they actively looked for excuses to be in each other company enjoying being in the presence of the other, she reached down for his hand remembering the missing limb from that accident, it was due to this that she wouldn't leave his side, she refused to let him be hurt again by anyone or anything she can still remember the rage that she felt for the creature that had harmed him though weeks had passed since then and her attention focused to getting him a decent replacement. They entered the city as the sun rose and made their way to the place that Nobu told them to meet as they enter Shion was already there Sumiko took a seat as Za greeted him.
"I am guessing from that note and Nobu lack of presence in the Clan House he has achieved his goals?" Sumiko spoke lazily tracing a circle of the wood surface of the table in front of her.

Shun had been in the midst of his morning training routine when his father appeared with the letter addressed to him. Shun didn't know just what his presence was requested for, but he figured that if someone went out of the way to directly contact him then it must be important. With a quick farewell to his father and his sword attached to his hip, Shun made his way to the gates of the city. He happened to see Shion just leaving when he made it to the outskirts of Leaf, and the sight of a familiar face made him relax a bit.

Shun approached the guards, requesting a temporary pass to leave the city for a mission. They seemed skeptical, but Shun put on his best smile and tapped the sword at his waist. "I may not look like much, but I can hold my own against a missing nin. I shouldn't be long, though. Father will be expecting me home for dinner tonight."

His gentle yet determined tone seemed to sway the guard, for he was given the temporary pass and allowed out. Shun sighed, making his way towards Crater City. He quickened his pace once he was a bit past the gates, hoping to catch up with Shion to at least know where they were headed.

He saw two other familiar faces ahead of him, and Shun slipped into the room, looking around at the same group he had grown accustomed to bumping into. Shun made his way over to Shion, smiling a bit. "Feels like I haven't seen you in years," he spoke lightly.

It seemed the clan had gathered and it seemed that each of them had finally arrived in the Casino, though his time of day it was shut and luckily it had been a place that Nobu had instantly headed to after managing to slip out of the gates of the village. Watching from the manager's office, as he listened to the man speaking to him, it seemed the Casion was doing well here and had been achieving a consistent stream of revenue. He took the drinking glass from the table as he looked towards the man that was speaking to him leaning back in the chair as he smiled to himself looking out of the black window to the world of Creater City that he had been admiring since leaving. He had seen the world in such a new way than before.

"Look at how they crawl around, upon the ground like little ants. Isn't it a Laugh? Isn't it a Shame? Thinking that there is someone in heaven to blame"

"Indeed, they don't realize that it's not fated it's just luck"

"We all make our own destiny, after all, mine was sealed last night, to say the least"

"Your guests have arrived, shall I welcome them for you?"

"No, I will do that myself, but first I must do this final act, give me your dagger"

The man unclipped one of the pair of daggers he had and spun it into his palm before handing it towards Nobu, taking it in his grip he unclipped something from his belt and placed it on the desk. The last symbol of the shackles Nobu had been given to, as he looked at the symbol upon the metal. Bringing the dagger to it, he placed the sharp point down biting into the metal before drawing a line across it, striking through the headband and sealing his fate once and for all. Clipping the headband back onto his belt he stood up, grabbing the cloak the red clouds seemed to shine brighter these days. Taking in a deep breath he walked towards the door, reaching out and grabbing it. Swinging it wide open he stepped forward and leaned on the rails above the group. The headband swinging freely in front of the group.

"Welcome my family, it seems we have a lot to talk about"

"Sup' Shion, Any sign of Nobu?" It was only at the moment that he started to move his head back to his fedora and place it back to the top of his head. “hmm..? Ah- Za..” Shion started to stretch his body a little before smirking. “Nah… I didn’t spot something though…. hmm~! I brought you a gift..." A grin got to his face as he reached in his pouch and grabbing a restorative cream with a pack of smokes and tossed them to Zatoru. He grinned as he looked towards the arm. “Holding up..?” He wanted to ask something else, but that was halted as he saw Sumiko. “Eah… Morning to you too Sumiko…” "I am guessing from that note and Nobu lack of presence in the Clan House he has achieved his goals?” “Seems like… It is damn silent without him though…” He complained just a bit and that was when Shun started to enter.

“Morning Shun…” he would look back up. “Says… someone… What happened with that hair..?” He would turn a little on the couch tilting his head in various ways to get a better idea. “Trap…” That was his conclusion at this point. “Oi… za… Imagine Sumiko’s clothing on Shun…” He would point from Sumiko to Shun and then think again. Grinning himself.

It was only after that Shion’s gaze went towards the door where Nobu walked through. His demeanor changed from the somewhat carefree character to seriousness. His eyes spotted the headband. “Guess that answered your question Sumiko…” Shion mentioned by just pointing and looking towards Sumiko. Before he would place the fedora on his lap. It was a hat he took care of after.

Shion always had a bit of trouble acknowledging the higher-ups, but he knew when it was safe to do so or when he was just plain stupid. This was perhaps the main reason he at least tried to keep his cool around Nobu. Za he could prod… especially with herbalist creams… But Nobu, it would most likely not fall that well. ’Family huh... ‘ it was a thought that slipped him and he smiled towards Nobu. ’Papa..? brother..? Old geezer… what would… let’s not…’ “Hm- Glad to see you ain’t below in a ditch... “ That… was what came out of his mouth at first, to tell the truth, he had no idea what was or wasn’t wise to say in this situation. But he meant it well, he was happy that he wasn’t dead but very much alive.

Swiping the cream with his free hand Za would look down at it for a moment before throwing it down in disgust, "Heh... You know how to make a guy feel good, But yanno... At least I still look like a boy. Surprised you havent painted ya nails. I'm good though, Thanks." but it was all in fun, no calloused tone about it. Looking around the bar, Za still having a sense of wonder. How did this all come about? Za knew that everything had transpired, but everything was behind the scenes. Everything was Nobu's doing... and everything was starting to come together like a puzzle. Had Nobu done this in order to show that he wasnt playing around? Za felt like everything was beginning to make more sense now, and all of Nobu's dealings had been like a masterful work of art that looked like absolute shit until the artist did the final reveal...

This was the reveal...

Looking at Shun, he would smirk, "...None of us look like much... But growth is the deal. We are supposed to grow together. We are one Clan. The Gekido." Za's words would be calloused a bit, he himself had his own doubts about things. Nodding his head though, he had a chance to begin this whole thing in his head, maybe there was more to do with all of this, but had Nobu been so busy with this? Then he felt a chakra, darker than before and nodding his head as he knew who it was but he would turn his body before setting himself next to Sumiko who was sitting down, he'd set himself next to her pointing himself towards Nobu.

The imagery was solid, so it was true though, He'd gone missing and become a rogue shinobi? 'Welp, Now We have to prepare and I have to go get the rest of my things...' nodding again Za'd smirk, "Heh... like Shion said, good to see you have your head attached still. But, I never doubted ya... Patience is a virtue.", that was a slight lie, but Za did believe in Nobu's cause. And he would defend him as he would Sumiko. With every fiber of his being...

The girl watched as Nobu revealed himself from the back room of the empty club, she could tell by looking at him there was something different about him, it was the way that he carried himself he was no longer the boy that she met in the alleyway of Konoha but a man that has accomplished his goal, there was an air of confidence and power about him now, without needing to say it to them he was now their leader and each of them would follow him wherever he would lead them, even if that was directly into the mouth of danger. They were no longer friends anymore, they were a family now, one that they chose to be in. Sumiko looked him up and down glad to see he was still in one piece, she spotted his headband hanging from his belt, the sigil of their homeland slashed through marking him as missing, he had got out which is more than they had managed but she could feel that the wheels of fate had been set in motion.
"I am glad to see that you unharmed Nobu, looks like you made it out ok," She addressed him speaking to him in a respectful tone, a lot had changed in her since their last meeting and she was glad to find herself among a new family. "I am guessing that you have called us here for a reason, how is it that we can assist you Nobu?" Even though no-one spoke it there was heavy anticipation in the air as to what the purpose of this meeting was and how they would all play a part in what was to come next.

Shun knew that things had probably changed a lot since their little day at the hot springs years ago, especially if Shion's appearance was anything to go by. Still, hearing Shion speak about his appearance in such a way and even suggest that Shun wear Sumiko's clothing brought a heat to Shun's cheeks that he wasn't ready for.

"My hair got in the way when training..." he spoke with a heavy heart. He had been growing it out in memory of his mother, who used to love braiding Shun's hair. He knew that he needed to let go of such trivial things if he wanted to bring her home, though. He looked to Zatoru as he spoke, offering a faint smile.

"I suppose you're right. It's nice to have a bigger family." To be fair, Shun still had his father, and he hoped to bring his mother home. He had a family, but he wasn't about to turn his back on his new friends that had become a part of his life. He felt he didn't exactly fit the scene as much as the rest, but he was still invited here, and that meant something.

Shun's gaze fell upon Nobu when he entered, and Shun took in the sight of the scratched out headband, realizing what it meant after a moment. So you're the one that shot up the guards nerves at the gates, he thought to himself, nodding his head respectfully. "I appreciate you inviting me here...but it seems like I'm a little out of the loop on what you guys have planned," he mentioned calmly.

Nobu looked at the group as a smirk crept across the lips as he walked down the spiral staircase in the casino and onto the floor he walked over to where they were, the huge betting floor was empty though it expanded up to three floors this place had become the center of operations. As he came closer to each of them the aura that came from Nobu was one of pure darkness and evil as it radiated from his body with ease. As he looked at the group he smiled towards each of them, it seemed that his letter had not been forgotten and the bond did have meaning here. He glanced towards Shun the newest one here, he realized in those few moments that he could hold his own against her if it came to it. He nodded towards her realizing that they were on some capacity equals now, though he had sold his soul for that power.

"The rumors of a missing are true, for what must be done my family I cannot be associated with a village, I cannot be tied down and bound with a collar put on me. While the original plan was to have you as a team as Chunnin I have moved the plan forward massively and now we are looking at the situation we are at. The Casino is fully working, the money it makes supports the expansion of the clan, the underground beneath you holds the black market, the eyes making us a small fortune actually. And the bar holding the key to gathering information in Leaf. There is one last conquest that I must take alone, Asuka is all that stands in this clan's way, an issue that I must rectify considering my recent actions. Alone."

Nobu walked behind the bar, grabbed a clear liquid from a bottle, and uncorked the bottle, grabbing a clear class he poured the liquid in the distinct smell of vodka echoed from the class as he took it to his lips and downed the drink pouring himself another one. He had planned this conversation, he knew what must be done but achieving it would be something that he never had completely planned.

"I need to expand the Clan, Cloud and Sand will be our next targets, we must move swiftly. While I have considered the options of what to do and the best way to handle the matter, I realize now that I require each of you to assist me in this future. I realize this was my plan always and you knew this but I must ask right now, will you serve your clan in the future that holds so many risks. For each of you to serve the clan means putting yourselves at that risk, walking away from everything that we hold dear, I have turned my back on that future, and the world will change to our clan."

Nobu took a second glass out from the bar, pouring it quickly he walked around the bar and put it down, putting his hand on Za's shoulder he looked the man in the eye before dragging his hand away and towards the glass, offering it towards the man that he trusted her the most.

"Za, I ask you to step up to the clans second in command, you will have to come with me to Cloud we need to expand our operations there and property will be key, I require this of you. Together we will lead Cloud into our grip under the cover of wanting to help a rotten hive out like that. Will you serve my will, will you be my hand that swings as I command?"

"Shino, you will be my personal assistant in this operation, this means that you will be a target for everyone around, think on this offer. But if you accept you will be handed the options of Sand, we need to expand here it will be hard and we need to find a way in, but with your abilities, I am sure that you can do this role as demanded and thus taking the operations and taking charge of the Sand expansion?"

"Sumiko, how could I forget your role, as third in the command you will be directly under Zatoru and myself, your operations that will be in charge of is the key stone to our survival. Leaf the Casino we stand in here, the black market beneath us and of course the bar inside of Leaf but I wouldn't expect you to hit Leaf so hard and constantly having to risk yourself of capture."

"That is where you come into this Shun, I want you to be the informant inside of Leaf, with everything that is happening security will be tighter, we need a legitimate Shinobi inside of Leaf that will assist us and I have no doubt that you are the right person for that. As such I leave the upkeep and maintenance of the clan to you, as well as the bar to you under the command of Sumiko if you accept the offer into the Clan, the robes will be waiting for you"

As he stood there he waited to see the reply from each of them, he was now asking the hardest thing from each of them, to give everything up in order to serve the Clan. What they didn't know is Za would give up more than any of them if he accepted this offer, he knew full well that the plan to make him a second was the right choice the man was as loyal as he was a soldier, and could follow orders and think on his own. If Nobu died he trusted the clan to the man and he accepted that fact.

The comment of Za.. was something he didn't really see coming. "Oi oi..." He growled a little low as he obviously thought that Za meant his height. It was a fact that he was small for a male... "I am still not done growing!" He bit towards the other with his words before he would look towards the others.

Shion himself listened towards the other and would be patiently listening, eventually looking toward za and back to Nobu. It was when his... that wasn't his name. He took a moment to not flip a switch at his boss. "Shion... boss..." he would start to correct him, not in the most polite manner.... but he didn't scold, it was an improvement. For a moment he thought his offer over, but he started to nod. "It will be an honor to do so. You can count on me on Wind country." He was... already quite used to have a target at his back. Just having another one didn't bother the male that much. Yet he already knew he was going to prod one back inside the village for more details about the Wind country so he would go at least somewhat prepared. He wanted to say more... but wasn't even sure how to communicate that towards the boss so he left it at that. Yet... he was looking around to see if there was a nonsmoking sign around.

Nodding to himself, Za would listen to Nobu from behind the visor, the glimpses of the others Za would watch everyone's faces aside from Sumiko as there was nothing to worry about with her. He trusted her and she did him. And it wasn't that he didn't trust Shion or Shun but he wasn't sure though, he was never too sure about anything in his life after what his father had done. Needless to say, he would have to figure things out for himself, especially over the next few ventures, failures to maintain the missions they would be setting themselves upon would mean that there was little he could do not to wring anyone's neck.

As Nobu spoke to Za, he could feel the pride within his being as his posture would change. His face still with the smirk lined across his face and standing up straighter next to Sumiko as he would nod, "Brother. We will take everything that has been owed to us... from the beginning. Lets do this.", nodding solemnly. looking down to Sumiko as Nobu would speak to her and Shion... They all seemed to be moving up but the work still needed to be done.

"Congratulations Shun.... There is a basement under the home with alot of my personal things, I'll leave you materials on how I was crafting different Katana...", Za would shoot Shun a smile, but he felt that if Shun screwed them, that he would take his life personally, but he felt maybe that wouldnt happen... but who knew. Za wouldnt hang his 'hat' on anything negative, no use being negative in such a definitive moment, "...So, whats next?"

The girl listen to Nobu speak as he address the group that was gathered, she had his complete attention, he start with Za explaining he new role inside the clan going to Cloud and forming ties there and the Shion she listened as he talked about how he was set to start business in Sand, then it can to her. Sumiko would be lying if she wasn’t slightly shock when Nobu address her, giving her the position of third in command and putting her in charge of both this casino and the bar that he was running back in Leaf. While it was true that they had been living together for quite some times she always got the impression that he had some level of resentment towards her, hear him speak to was clear that was something that she had imagine, she smiled and nodded as Nobu when through the details and looked around the room at the other expression, out of all of them it was Za treat she was worried about the most, he wanted to be near him to protect him but she knew deep down he didn’t need her protection so those thoughts soon left her head.

”I understand what you need for me Brother and don’t worry I have a few trick up my sleeves to get in and out unnoticed,” She gave him a smile, Sumiko felt excited about the future and was looking forward to being able to forge her own path with the other that had gathered here.

Shun listened to what was requested of him and the others, seeing that the entire group gathered here was quick to agree. They really were in this like a family. Shun had a huge decision to make; he didn't have anything against the village, but he knew there was a lot that needed to be fix. Maybe, if he could do his job right, he could save his home from war and build a better world with the help of this family that he was so easily welcomed into.

"I will be your inside man. Whatever you need, consider it done," Shun agreed, bowing his head to Nobu. He looked over to Za who had offered him materials for sword crafting. Perhaps Shun would be following in his father's footsteps. Not too bad an idea, he could become a blacksmith for the clan if they had a harder time getting supplies.

"I can have my father teach me his blade crafting skills; he's been in the business for years. I can also get my hands on weapons now and then if needed, if not crafting them myself," he mentioned passively.

Nobu looked at each of them as they pledged their loyalty to the clan, him. he nodded as he downed the drink once more and put the glass he had offered Zatoru into the man's hands before walking past him slightly, looking at each of them he had a casual demeanour about him as he studied each of them for those few seconds, glancing around to see the reactions some of the surprise, some showed the joy that they had been given position, others determination. Nodding to himself he knew that they were ready to start moving forward with their plan though it had been a waiting period this time was now over.

"Service is with Sacrifice, Life is not without Death, Power not without Pain, to serve the Clan is to serve without fear for ones own to sell. This is the Way."

"Zatoru, as second in command, you will wear the seal of this office, a mark of power, and of pain, forgive me brother but for you, I am afraid that you will learn pain sooner than the others."

Before the redhead Shinobi even had a chance to consider the words or realise what they meant Nobu was moving, the empty glass coming and shattering into the back of the boy's skull, the force of the impact would force Zatoru down onto his knees in a split second, as Nobu free hand came out as he looked to his brother the red traces of blood slowly trickling down his neck in a heartbeat from the lacerations his head was now covered in,

Chakra flowed through Nobu, the aura would be felt by all as it lingered menacing and dark past what most of them would have experienced during their time inside of the Academy, as he let his fingers run into the wounds the dark red blood coming from them he placed his palm against the man's neck, focusing his Chara down and out. black and red lines begun working their way under the boy's shirt as he was held there, the pain would be like a branding iron on the boy's skin Takeshi knew that from experience the pain was excruciating. Though no-one could see the lines, the chains slowly formed two twin swords from shoulder to hip as they crossed each other, making the Clan Mark in the middle of the boys back with the red of his blood, the swords chained all the way around the blade and held to the symbol. The meaning was clear that Zatoru was chained to the clan a bond that could not be broken so easily.

"This seal is a Mark for you Zatoru, of the path you walk beside me brother, it's a path that we cannot avoid or walk away from, we both know that. The power will provide you will show over time as you master it, this is a gift, not a curse and see it that way and use it that way."

Nobu let his hand slide free from the boy's shoulder in order for him to be able to stand up in place. Nobu would offer him a hand if he needed the assistance to stand up. Turning his attention back to the others he knew that this meeting was just the start, he needed each of them to know what their actions would be, and now they knew the question was what would they do with this information that they had been given. That was the true test that each of them would have to undertake.

"Do you have any questions or need any answers to the things that you have seen or heard today?"

Just as that glass hit Zatoru on the back of the head... He would flinch himself. "Ouch..." He muttered and held his eyes a bit wide till Nobu started to talk once more. "Guess he couldn't dodge that one either..." For Shion, that was a playfully word-jab towards Zatoru it would be regarding their past now together where Zatoru seemed to fail to dodge things. He would eye the blood that was coming from him and the smirk he had, a laughing moment he had did fade as he would relax a bit more on the couch. If Nobu really wanted to do harm... he would have been there to defend Zatoru too and place himself in between so they wouldn't murder each off... But that didn't seem to be necessary. "Not sure a bandaid would fix that 'onii-chan.'"

As he would be left thinking about things... He would mutter a bit. "Nescio num spernenda videri poterit bonam rogare ut leo ..." He had actually forgotten at this point that now both Nobu and Zatoru would be able to understand him. Eventually, Shion threw his head a bit backward as he left an annoyed tsk. "Redditus est nobis non modo rogare illum..." He would look back to Nobu. It probably would make less sense to Nobu than it would do Sumiko, as he had told her about it. "Here in Crater City, have you seen individuals almost a copied version of the Leaf ANBU..? The only difference they have 1 symbol..." He would reach inside of his had and get a scrap paper out which used to be a curse seal, ragged and almost in a question mark with an eye in between. "If not... could you keep an eye out...? And don't come near them." This wasn't something he would mention lightly for someone with status as Nobu to stay away, but he had his reasons.

Only cursed / cursed alignment users can understand Shion's demonic.
"Nescio: num spernenda videri poterit bonam rogare ut leo..." -> "I wonder, would this be good timing to ask about that..."
Redditus est nobis non modo rogare illum. -> Just gotta ask him it.

Everything seemed to be going well in the land of Oz, all the woodland animals were rummaging and the hustle and bustle of the forest would take them through a magical journey. However, this was no ordinary magical journey. This was something that would haunt the forest... as the sky would be cast a plume of clouds, and everything that was once happy would turn into darkness... It was this dream that Za would have once Nobu cold cocked him with a glass causing shards to explode over his head and directly around him... the force of the blow caused Za to fall to his knees with his hands dropped before him. The shards all around him as he would let out a loud, "ARRRRGH!" of pain. And it was excruciating. The discomfort pulsed through his shoulders down to his fingertips. Almost like a dull static as he'd feel the blood trickling from his neck to the floor below.

Ringing, would be the next thing that he would hear, as Nobu would continue his soliloquy, Za would try to gain his bearings before picking himself up and figuring out what had happened. And just as things would begin to lighten up, the pulse of dark chakras would pour into his system causing him to shiver and shake. Another grunt of pain would leave his lips as he quickly pulled back and endured as he tended to do. Though as it flowed, Za's eyes would gleam red and runic glyphs would begin to take over his body, like dark markings on a primitive cave canvas.

"Wh...What... What is this..." Za would look down at his hand and see the markings along his fingers even his fingertips were black, as if they had been painted and marked over. Though everything else would course through him, almost making his skin turn completely crimson red! And for a moment he would feel everything shift within him, almost losing himself in the large amount of chakra that had now cascaded through his chakra. Swirling in a pool of his chakra and awakening something darker within than Za would ever want to admit he had...

Though as quickly as it came it would go away... and Za would return to normal, as he would pant and breath deeply into his lungs before looking up to Nobu, feeling Shion attempting something on him but shaking him off, Za attempted to get to his feet rubbing the back of his head, "...Hm, I see... You didnt have to bust me open... gah...", pain still numbing the area a bit but Za would roll his shoulders back in an attempt to keep himself looking strong... but he couldnt hide the pain over his face.

There pleasant feel that Sumiko was experiencing was soon replaced with anger as she watch Nobu smash a glass into Za head, she got up from her seat sending it crashing to floor, the sound echoing around the room, clenched her fist hard her nail digging into her flesh nearing drawing blood as she could see him in visible pain, she to side side seeing a stream of red blood running down his neck onto his skin.

”Nobu have you gone mad!”

She knelt down to Za excessing the damage done too the back of his head, luckily it was largely superficial, what came next though surprised her, she felt him surge with chakra as a black ink began to snake over his skin like a a tattoo, she had never seen anything like this before, she took a seat back as Za stood hearing a noticeable change in his voice as he spoke, Sumiko looked into his eyes seeing something that was him in them, there was something darker in those deep pools of blue now. She looked at him her angry fading away, replaced with concern, whatever Nobu had done to him had changed him in some way, then as quickly as it came whatever had take hold of him it seemed to fade away returning him to normal. She left Za’s side, striding towards Nobu fighting the urge to punch him in the face for hurting her Za but she resisted, she simply wanted answers.

”What did you do to him?”

Shun jumped in surprise when the sound of shattering glass met his ears. He saw Sumiko lose her cool, not at all surprised by her outburst with how close she and Zatoru seemed to be. He felt the surge of energy and saw the markings just before they had fully faded. When Zatoru stood back up and Nobu spoke of a seal, he knew what had just been done.

Nobu had just placed a Curse Seal on his second in command.

Shun knew he could sense a different kind of energy from Nobu, he just couldn't place exactly what it was. It seemed like the leader of their clan was cursed himself, gifted with powers of dark origin. It would make him incredibly strong, but hopefully Nobu wouldn't lose himself to the power.

He momentarily wondered if he would face a day where he had to accept this mark as well; Nobu didn't exactly give Zatoru a choice, and by the way he had said Za would learn "sooner than the others" made it clear that was the case.

"I will be serving as your inside man, but I must know how I should go about my services within the village. I will have to uphold my role as a shinobi if you wish for me to remain undercover successfully, which might make me unavailable at times if I am out on missions. Wouldn't it be good to recruit a few more trustworthy people within the village walls?"

He knew their goal was to grow the numbers of their people, but he wasn't sure exactly what his role entailed inside the village aside from safe passage and smuggling of information.

Theme for the post.

Silence overtook the group, for a moment everything seemed normal at the casino. If it could heard the doors would burst open and a white haired girl non-chalantly walked forward. Looking around for the person she was looking for, an emotionless expression to her face. Walking through the Casino she could tell a lot of work had gone into it, a lot of passion. The passion of a liar.

She had known of the casino for a while, heck... something this big couldn't go unnoticed by interested party. At it certainly didn't escape the Hokage's ears. Not only actions, but the audacity of leaving a letter addressed to her was the thing that got her to age. On her Biju form, Asuka moved forward looking around for the brat.

It seemed as though nobody stopped her, or rather, nobody was in sight. As she walked up the stairs she would think about what she would do once she went through the main office doors. What she would tell him. How she would inflict the proper punishment. It took her a few moments before she came up the stairs to what seemed to be the main office. Holding the letter on one hand she would kick open the doors. Low and behold, she would indeed see her target inside.

What she didn't expect was to find four of her students with the criminal. She didn't say a word, she didn't yell, she didn't shout, that was the worst part. Just a look of dissapointment, a look that didn't breathe an ounce of anger, remorse, happiness. The usual cheerful, immature, happy go lucky radiant of light was replaced by a ghost.

It took a few moments before she showed the letter to the group, as it slowly burned to ash in her palm. "Although unexpected not unwelcomed." She started speaking, looking around the group. "I hope you're doing well children." She did a respectful bow as the crystals beside her turned around her. As if weapons ready to be deployed at a moments notice. "There's a famous saying that I like to abide by. 'Actions maketh man.'. Basically it means that your actions are what define you as a person, you get to live with the effects what those choices cause. Some regret those actions, I certainly regret some of mine, some run away from the consequences, others don't get to live long enough to see those consequences, a little percentage of those actions bring death and misery to not only those involved, but those who are connected with them." Asuka's emotionless expression was kept sharp as she talked. Wanting the words to sink into them she continued. "Nobu's, apparently the leader, stupidity brought me here. To witness you all make choices of your own." She stopped, mumbling some words into her headset for a moment, clearing her throat as she spoke for more than a minute.

"Now for the consequences of your actions. Per leaf law, you all should be turned into missing nin, all possessions confinscated, and sentenced to death. But that was in the old administration. I for one don't like to slaughter children based upon mistakes they might've committed. So, let's find a solution doesn't end in bloodshed." She spoke with the calmness of a river but her words carried a storm. "One, we turn to attacking one another. I know what Nobu is capable of, I know how strong you guys are so you may succeed in killing me. But I might as well take multiple of you with me, best case for me you all die. You get a target placed in your back, Leaf will never stop tracking you down, the other villages will be informed of the crimes committed making sure you'll be persecuted across the continennt. In the end, you will either die or live long enough to get tired of running." She stopped for a moment, clearing her throat. "Two, you all surrender peacefully. Consequences will be carried out and we all get to get out of this alive to live another day." With that she walked forward, taking a seat on the empty chair in front of them, completing the circle. "What will your choice be?" Her emotionless eyes met Nobu's. "Belial." For anyone who knew what it meant. Belial was the name of the Lord of Lies, also known as the demon of deception. In reality she really wished they would choose the peaceful option. She wanted to avoid a fight that would cause collateral damage to the surrounding areas, she wanted to avoid killing.
