Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It wasn't long until Suika had received a notice of class; it was a bit unusual than the standard days she was forced to attend classes. Those had rigid schedules and rigorous training regimes in knowledge application and memorization. They were, as modern as today with the rudimentary learning techniques that are employed; they worked for some, others not.
Which is where Shieo and other specialty teachers were employed to fill the void of those who didn't learn so adequately, or had talents outside of a class that the village felt they needed to refine. While it wasn't either in any extreme for young Suika, Shieo had noticed certain traits in her actions that suggested that she needed to be exposed to training that was unorthodox to help compel her into greater heights. He of course, painted this as the higher-ups wishes, but he ultimately had made the decision and got their approval. This he figured, wouldn't leak and thus his general facade would remain forever intact.

The letter she received, was simple in purpose and writing. It merely instructed her to attend Dojo-Annex Room Number sixteen at nine o'clock sharp in the morning. Given Shieo's history in training preparation, it would be perhaps a bit surprising to those who saw and knew, he didn't show up extremely early this time. After-all; he didn't need to change much in the room, just be present and available to aid her in the soon to come trails of severity. Her former lesson was rather extreme, absolutely; but this would stress and test her in a different method.

Think she's ready? The overbearing sound of death haunted in his mind. All while he stood in the center of the much smaller dojo-annex than the last, papers with keynotes, grades, descriptions and the like~ They weren't strictly about Suika either, in his down-time he did try to keep up with future lessons, grades of students that he had trained in the past and the like. He was articulate in planning his days and regimes, all because it granted him more time to rest if everything was laid out carefully. It was a bit ironic.

Not sure, but she seemed eager. So we'll see in due time.

It was then, the hydraulic hiss of the entryway struck itself open to reveal the outside of the room. And he figured, the calling of his student. Wherein he waited at the center of the cold, dark metallic room that forebode the coming moments with a painfully dimly lit area; all that was discernible was Shieo at the center. And a looming presence that one couldn't make out without his beck and call; she knew this all too well.

"Glad you could make it." Not that she's given a choice... Heh.

"Another day, another dollar." she sang as she twirled her knife in front of her mirror. Although she wasn't a very expressive and high-spirited person, Suika found herself genuinely enjoying the path to shinobihood. Since her first death-provoking class she had with Shieo, she had undergone a few weeks of diligent studying and training. In that short window of time, she was taught basic ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. "Genjutsu. Mr. Lazy Grumpy Pants is definitely a genjutsu user." she mused one day when instructed on the subject. The art of illusion, in her opinion, was not a force to be reckoned with. A giant fireball could be dodged by switching places with a log, but that very piece of wood couldn't save you from a bona fide mind infiltration. The gypsy girl learned that lesson first-hand at the marketplace, which was then further affirmed during their first lesson.

“But was Bahamut just an illusion? The force of his power felt so real.” Shieo shared that to summon such strength required latent talent and extensive experience. This hinted that the monster could have, in fact, been more than just a illusory conjuration. This speculation sent shivers down the girl's spine; however, her feelings were both within the realm of fear and excitement. While the future was uncertain and full of dangers, she was confident that, one day, she'd be powerful, too. She just had to survive until then. “Which, in all honesty, isn't going to be that easy in this crazy world of demigods and monsters.”

Suika, swift as an arrow, made her way to dojo-annex sixteen at the given time. The class appointment assigned to her failed to disclose any other details which, since her first, was unlike most scheduled classes she had. She shrugged it off; it was probably going to be some boring lecture again. As she made her way into the dark, rustic room, she immediately spotted Shieo in the middle of it. The man was by his desk and surrounded by paperwork. “Either he's a go-getter and is getting a headstart...”</I><i></i> she grinned as the anticipation of what could occur this morning grew. “...or he's just a lazy son-of-a-gun who's far behind in work. Nonetheless, it's been a while. This will be interesting.”<i></i>

She made her way toward her instructor as he casually greeted her. In response, she gave a quick bow. “Pleasure to be here, Shieo-sensei.” This was the first time Suika referred to his name with the appropriate honorific; she did this to showcase her respect of his teaching abilities and her hunger to learn. The first time they met in a classroom setting, Suika struggled with her chakra control and had no real knowledge of the shinobi arts. This time? Well, she wasn't anywhere near mastery, but many skills were since developed and refined. She knew, despite how dull and uninterested he presented himself, Shieo was essential to her growth. In some ways, she wanted to be just like him.

No, she yearned to be greater.

As the flames of her ambition increasingly flared with every passing second, she couldn't help but to notice another presence within the dojo. It wasn't visible by any means, but it was distinguishable due to having felt it before. However, the young gypsy didn't feel a sense of threat from this presence. She felt an aura of familiarity. <I>“Hm.” She gave her instructor a willing and readied nod as if she was prepared for whatever was in store. Based off their last field exercise, Suika knew his next assigned task wasn't going to be walk in the park by any means, but she was more than pumped for it. So far, at least.

Letting out a winded sigh, he had idly folded the papers he had in hand. Tucking them away in his ninja-pouch and stroked his chin a moment after she addressed him properly; finalizing it with an arched brow and let out yet another, 'ahh..' "Did they reprimand you? ~ Don't pay too much heed to forcing honorifics.. I can't say I care for them. After-all, you're here to learn and I'm here to teach. Nothing more, or less." He had idly taken a few steps forwards, tucking his hands into his pant pockets. It took a few seconds before he closed the distance between the two, in which he still had left about six feet between the two of them.

While perhaps it was unclear, Shieo's demeanor never changed the slightest. A mask he wore well enough to work around and do his job in hopes that students address him in a manner unfit of anything to look up to, while still taking education from him. To be unmemorable, but valuable in the long run; it was ultimately a rather exhausting effort to make. Nevertheless, he did it. And tales told with his eyes as dour-looking and his voice ever droll with a monotone droning to it. "While you're probably wondering the depth in which a class this ..." He paused and looked around at the eerie, empty and hollow sounded room of metal that surrounded them. The word you're looking for is depressing.

"Exceptionally well-crafted; but stir in your booties no longer, for you're going to find out." He had tugged his hands out of each pocket and clapped them together quietly. He stood there in silence for a solid four seconds, just adding to the strange sensation that would have started to crawl up Suika's back; it wasn't corporeal, but she felt like something was off.

"You asked me to aid you in summoning something like Bahamut, there are reasons I cannot help you do that. But I can get you on the right track. To start, you need to understand Genjutsu. ~ Thus knowing how it feels to be in one, will shift your perspective. And in turn, you will learn to defend against it." He calmly started to tap his foot against the iron floor; at first it just sounded like a shoe against steel~ Echoing and eventually it turned to metal to metal. And the world started to blur too her, shifting in and out of the lines as if everything started to incorporate an after-image. If she looked to Shieo's face, she would notice that out of everything, his eyes remained unaffected from the after-image; and they glowed a searing yellow-orange and had slitted iris's "Are you prepared young Suika?" His voice, was his own; but something underlying, as if Bahamut had a pick in his tone, it yielded a persons steel and commanded dread.

The room that surrounded them, in a matter of seconds; uncomfortably shifted into pitch darkness. As Suika had felt fearful, a boiling in her stomach would occur; the kind that stirred only when faced with the person's most dreadful fear. And without a moments hesitation, she felt inclined to turn around... What awaited her; was up to her...

What Do You Fear Most, Young Suika?

“Fair enough.” she replied simply after her instructor finished his spiel on honorifics. Suika didn't really care for them either, so it was not hard for her to scrap it. As Shieo approached her, she instinctively shifted her body back a bit and tightened her fists. It was a subtle enough motion so that he wouldn't notice or, at least, care at all. She wasn't afraid of him, but the calculated and cautious girl was always prepared for the worst, especially after the last exercise. Soon enough, the Chuunin clapped his hands together. It wasn't long after that Suika felt like something was off.

“Genjutsu user, I knew it.” she thought in self-amusement during his explanation. Based off his words, she anticipated that Shieo was going to cast a genjutsu on her sometime soon. She hadn't learned to cancel illusions yet, so she attempted to keep her wits about her and her mind sharp. If becoming proficient at genjutsu was what it took to gain the summoning of Bahamut or a power alike, she was more than willing to be put through whatever the tired-looking teacher had in store for her.

“Shit, was that-” It was too late. The tapping of his shoe slowly turned into a the sound of metal hitting metal as the world formed a blurred after image around her. The only aspect of her physical perspective that wasn't affected was Shieo's face. While not convoluted like the rest of her surrounding, his eyes were now likes flames with the irises of some type of demonic reptile. He then spoke with a tone that sounded infused with Bahamut's chill-inducing voice. Suika intended to give her instructor a nod for the go-ahead, but she felt paralyzed. She knew that she wasn't, however, because she caught glimpse of her own trembled hands. Before utter fear could consume her, the room went black as the fear faded.

She then felt that very fear manifest behind her.

The tan-skinned youth slowly turned and, in a noticeable contrast of bright colors, spotted a giant, flashy sign hanging from the ceiling. What she read made her mouth fall agape and her eyes water. “You have to be kidding me. There's no way.” Suika was a survivalist, and there was definitely a reason for that. Her seemingly manipulative and occasional cold demeanor was reared from the horrors she faced within her nomadic and performance-driven group of gypsies. Ringo, their ringleader, was more monstrous than Bahamut in her eyes. He may not have had the form of a demonic beast, but that man made devils appear as saints. His mind was convoluted and so was his work ethic; most trauma the young girl experienced was in direct correlation to that man's narcissistic and greedy actions. But the manifestation of Ringo or his troupe wasn't what compelled the girl to tears. It was an image beyond her deepest imagination. It was Suika's worst fear that she never thought she had.

The sign read, “Suika's Emporium of Flavorful Fruits.”

As she darted her eyes forward, she viewed a massive stage adorned with lights, props, and various decorations. In the center of that stage stood someone she knew all-too-well, but was, at the same time, completely unrecognizable. Dressed in Ringo's usual show-opener attire was an older dark-skinned woman with magenta eyes, long brown hair, and a cheery expression that screamed bullshit. Who Suika witnessed was a crooked conman, a self-absorbed charlatan, and the worst kind of hustler. Who Suika saw, to her complete dismay, was her future self.

“Gather 'round, gather 'round!” yelled out the aged gypsy as she shot out a nasty grin. “Come see my dearies perform! Freaks, acrobats, and dangerous daredevils – we have it all, folks!” Soon after, the bowl of fruits, as they were dubbed, emerged out of the curtains one-by-one performing their mastered routines. Meanwhile, she noticed their ringleader, Suika, stuffing money in her bags as an aura of avarice emitted from her. That's not all she saw. Like Ringo, she noticed herself mistreating the performers, making shady deals with strange men, and contriving chaos for all those around her. Above all, it was the next sight that made the young student feel faint.

“Last, but certainly not least or your money back, we have our closer! She appears an innocent child, but don't let her looks deceive you – she's gutted a man or two!” The crowd laughed. That wasn't even funny. “Introducing the brilliant, the dangerous, and the beautiful the Magenta Twirler!” And out came a girl. She was half-expecting the image of her current self on that stage, but it was more terrifying than that. The girl that was on stage was none other than her current peer, Siu.

“S-s-sto-...” the illusioned Suika mouthed with no actual sound formed. Siu, although still a stranger to her, was a person Suika perceived as pure for the time that they met. That woman on stage, herself, was corrupting that innocence. Siu gave a type of a kind and modest presence, but this Siu looked lifeless. The young girl on stage fooled the crowd with her charismatic and flamboyant routine, but the actual Suika knew that it was all crap. She knew that damned monster, older Suika, was to blame for this sick tragedy.

“I s-s-said...” she whispered. “Stop.” And then they all hushed. It was pretty sudden, but the silence felt eerie throughout the seconds it occurred. After a prolonged pause, the older Suika, the damaged Siu, and the rest of the fruit-troupe locked their sinister eyes on the young girl. She gulped.

“Well well, another deary, another dollar.” malevolently sang the older gypsy woman. Her presence intensified the gravity in the room. It was almost too difficult for Suika to stand at this point. “Join us, will ya?” The woman began to brandish blades that materialized from no where. “Or not.”

It was then that she heard familiar voice that begged a question. What was it that she feared? “Her.” she quickly spat out, clearly losing her cool. “I fear her.”</B><i></i> She didn't quite have the thoughts or words yet to describe what she feared, but all she knew was that she had a front-row seat to this horror-fest and that it felt more real than anything she had ever experienced. While previously stricken immobile, the young Suika slowly managed to bring her knife in front of herself. <B>"I need her to die."

It was no wonder what incurred looked the way it did. While Shieo himself, didn't have much understanding of the history of young Suika; beyond the simple information proposed on her student dossier. It would be a learning experience into the mind of his student, all while acting as a supporting foundation to the understanding of Genjutsu.
While most Genjutsu-ists need to know what they're manifesting, in rare; and advanced cases, they can lend credence to their opponents self-doubts, fear, anticipations and the like to develop the experience themselves. As long as the caster wields the chakra, and is quick enough to adapt to create the world of illusions for their target to experience it, it only made it even realer. And because it surfaces what the target expects to be afore them, they act as their own con-man, they convince themselves and it often times leads them into a dark-path in their minds. This will be a painful experience for her, let's hope her mind can take it...

She insisted; her own ambition will decide how far she gets. If she breaks, it's not her calling. Well. Aren't you cold. I like to figure realistic, if I were just so cold. I wouldn't have offered to aid her.

While Shieo perused through the contents of the constructing illusion; he himself wandered invisible to the eyes of the participants of the illusion. Bahamut too, of course. It was certainly intriguing, he never expected this to be the conjuration of her worst fears. He couldn't, nor wouldn't judge; after-all, everyone had their demons and in most cases, they aren't traditional to what the average person would expect.
It didn't take a rocket-scientist to correlate the growing fearful expression on her face at the sights of the magenta twirler, and the so-faced Ring-Master. With some aid of Shieo's mind, these things would have slowly been molded and manifested to stay as a staple in her mind; all while she only continued to make her nightmares come true.

Of course; Shieo wasn't here to torture his young-pupil, while he seemed apathetic and uncaring for the vast majority of people and things; he did try to take his job seriously. And while the ring-master and Suika had came to the conclusions of drawing blades. Suika would experience a flow of words in her mind, unlike her own. In-fact, they were Shieo's "Careful now... This is an illusion; one not so easily broken. And I'm sure you're realizing, not all Genjutsu can simply be broken with the knowledge of their being... So tread with care; each fear you divulge will grow into a consuming darkness. Learn to realize what you're seeing and face it with confidence of it's in-existence."

She felt as if he was watching, observing her movements; actions and ultimately how she would handle the knowledge. Just because she knew it was an illusion; didn't change the fact she faced a person that was keen on impaling her~ And like any realistic Genjutsu, it would feel like she was stabbed. If it came to that.

What Will You Do Young Suika?

“So...” spoke the vile woman temptingly as if luring cattle for slaughter, “...will you join us?”

Suika's unfocused, panic-filled eyes trembled as much as her body did. She refused to succumb to the will of the haunted image, but she sure as hell did not want to die by its hands either. Within the depths of her conscience, the gypsy girl was aware that she was under the spell of a genjutsu; however, the manifestation of her wildest fears transformed it into a seemingly inescapable reality. Her physical well-being, she knew, was free from harm, but she grew anxious about the ever-declining state of her mind. What could she do? What would she do?

“No...” replied the student as tears streamed down her cheeks. “I will not join you. I'd rather die.”

“Hmm, oh well.” nonchalantly responded the older version of herself. “That was a boring threat, anyway. How about this?” Immediately after her last spoken word, an ethereal-like chain formed in the woman's hands and wrapped slowly around Siu's neck. Although appearing as chains, they emitted a hissing sound as if a serpent. After a few seconds too many, the weapon which was generally used for enslavement tightened its grip around her peer's neck. A loud choking sound escaped from Siu's lips. “STOP!” cried Suika with more intensity as her body remained frozen. “Leave Siu alone!” Upon her desperate plea, the dark figure laughed mockingly at the student. She then followed her wicked cackle by cruelly tugging the girl's chain. Siu continued to release exasperated gasps for air. “You care for her, don't you, weak girl?” taunted the Ringleader as she strode menacingly toward Suika. “How about we make a deal?” Her lips curled into a terrifying smirk. “Why don't we make a trade? I'll release these chains and set this girl free, but then you take her place. How about it, deary?”

“No.” shot out the genjutsu-induced girl without a moment's hesitation. Her eyes widened as she clasped her hands over her mouth. Did she just say no? “Just as I predicted!” sang out the woman maniacally as she began to suddenly shapeshift. The woman morphed with her skin shifting into purple scales as her pupils were replaced with violent slits. Her tongue curled and split as a large, coiled tail took place of her legs; the Ringleader transformed into some type of demonic-snake entity. “You're jussst like meee!” And then she swallowed Siu whole.

...she swallowed Siu whole. She swallowed Siu whole. “She swallowed her whole.”</B><i></i> whimpered the girl in helpless devastation. “She swallowed her whole... she swallowed her whole...”<i></i> She screamed. “YOU SWALLOWED HER WHOLE!!!!” Like lightning, the snake-woman slithered besides Suika. She placed her cold palms on the girl's cheeks as she met her at eye level. “We ssswallowed her whole, deary. We are sssselfish, we are ssself-absssorbed. We are narcissistss who ssseek to consssume all in our way. We are sssurvivalist, deary. I am you and you are me. Thisss is your future.”

She was right.

Suika's arms dropped lifelessly to her sides as her expression went stone-like. This was her. Rather, this was who she was destined to be. The gypsy girl never saw herself as evil, but the more she thought about it, the more the idea rang true. She despised Ringo for what he did to her and the type of person he was. Most importantly, she hated him for what he made her to be. Suika wasn't kind and thoughtful like Siu or people similar to her. She, with the intent to survive, adopted a self-serving philosophy to make sure she saw the next day. But what was it all for? What did she live for? She didn't have to kill the man that tried to hurt her a year ago, but she did. It was self-defense, yes, but she ended his life without much thought or concern. His death meant a safer tomorrow; that is how she justified it. And all those crowd-goers she hustled and ripped off within the past few years? She knew it was inherently wrong, but if it meant food on the table, then there was no problem with it.

Lastly, she didn't have to lie to her instructor, Shieo, when she first met him at the marketplace. Although this seemed lesser than the previously listed evils, she felt especially guilty about that one. Her regret, however, was founded by her lack of such. After the man irritatingly sent her away following her selfish, deceptive response to his kindness, Suika went on with her day without an ounce of concern over her actions. Every word she spoke was a lie, which usually stacked with another and bred more. She had no identity; she was a conman who loved no one but herself. That is why, in that moment, she gave up.

Then she heard Shieo's voice.

Life slowly flew back into her. His words weren't necessarily encouraging, but they reminded her of one important thing: her fears were as strong as the power she gave it. Was that the key to defeating this illusion? Suika clenched her knife and plunged it into the side of the creature's head. The snake-woman shrieked out as if in pain. “You'll pay for that, bitch!” Suika's once sullen look shifted into one of ascending confidence. She gained complete mobility of her body as she dived toward the beast and stabbed it again. It's serpent-colored blood splattered on her face. “Try as you may, but you cannot kill what you will become. I am your desssstiny.” Her words were met with more merciless plunges of Suika's blade. Without a word back in response, she continuously stabbed the beast into utter slaughter. Drenched in the snake-woman's essence, Suika wiped her brow and grinned victoriously as she gazed at the brutalized corpse before her. <B>“I am who I am, and I will be who I want to be. I may not be perfect, but I still have a chance to make better decisions. I am not scared of you, older Suika,”<i></i> she pulled her knife from its gut and pointed it towards the murdered creature, “I pity you. You and the fear that controls you.”<i></i>

And then it all went black. The room was dark, but the lingering sense of doom subsided. What would happen next?

It was without a doubt a sight to behold, and to be a part of in the grand scheme of things. Shieo without much hesitation knew the destructive power such a technique could have on some people; while it may have a bit presumptuous to think Suika had the will to withstand the potential destruction of the technique; he however, was intrigued, she was eager and seemed to recognize the risks of delving into such a field of combat at such an early age. As without a doubt, the youth is when an individual is most susceptible to mental strain and it often times soaks what it experiences... For good or worse.

Thus, to see such a sight conjured up from such youth was both a bit distressing to the teacher's conscious; but had him quietly convinced that she may have what it takes to truly delve into the suit of Genjutsu. And come out without a loss of self or mind.
There was some concern with the sight of his other student involved in such a charade, but it only clued to the fact that Suika's ties to things were in such an infantile stage, indicating the potential deprived youth that she certainly had gone through. Because of this early realization, the violent outbreak at the tail end of such an event hadn't surprised him to such a degree as one may hope.

Nevertheless, he~ and she, found themselves henceforth in the room that coalesced darkness while their eyes readjusted, or felt like they had too. Here Shieo had stood in silence, to allow the young girl to reaffirm her stance in reality; for the time being, she needed to re-ground herself without delving back into the sinister depths of her mind. Not just yet at least.

After some moments in silence, with the darkness slowly adjusting to familiarity to the young girl. Shieo had spoken, his droll tone ever-present and filling the void they occupied. "Soo...~ A violent side, guess that can't be helped hm..." With either of his hands in his pant pockets, he had an aura of relaxation; perhaps a technique to help her feel safe, knowing that he was in a passive state. After-all, in the end. It was in-fact her teacher, that instigated such an event to occur.

"But, we're not wholly completed. Now, that you're aware of the grasps and potential of some high-level Genjutsu. You need to begin to understand the means to defend yourself once you're aware of the Genjutsu, without having to go through the whole process of said.. Genjutsu." He balled a fist and coughed into it. "So now, I'll step it down a notch. But we'll go through the process of cancellation before hand." Clearing his throat, in attempt to gain her attention. Figuring after all this time, she would have at least been able to recuperate some senses.

"To begin, replicate this seal. Once you have it, you need to focus on the flow of your chakra; dividing your attention, even in a Genjutsu to the flow of your chakra. Will grant you a level of control,
only in the circumstance you're aware of the Genjutsu however. Once you've recognized your chakra flow, you will send a reverse-pulse of chakra into your system. Doing such, halts the flow of the chakra in your body.
Which Genjutsu uses to perpetuate the illusion. And are often ill-prepared for the sudden dismantling flow. Sadly, some genjutsu are a bit too superior to simply be halted from this. But a valuable skill no less."
After his speech, he did exactly that. And displayed the seal of 'Tiger' holding this for some time for her to observe and understand, with ample time to replicate.

"Now. Prepare yourself young-Suika." After he spoke, his eyes locked with hers. And in only the briefest of moments. Her vision began to fill with the blurring and dulling appearing of blue mist~ cascading into the room. And blotting out her sight of Shieo, and everything entirely. A cold air brushed across her open skin, there felt like actual wind filling the area she was in; and while she was forewarned about the Genjutsu. It almost felt as if it was pulling at the strings of her mind to accept what she saw as real... It was a tumultuous event in her mind, to understand you're being fed lies, and then resist it~ Were... Two very different scenarios.

Fight On, Young Suika.

Before she knew it, the darkness faded as her senses immediately adjusted back into the physical plain. Suika, once covered head-to-toe in blood within the illusion, was now clean and back into her normal state. Aside from a few drops of sweat that fell from her brow, it was as if nothing had ever happened. “I guess that's the power of Genjutsu for you. Terrifying.” she awed as she shifted her attention toward her instructor. He, too, was returned to his average self.

“And that was just me in an illusion. Be lucky you haven't witnessed the real thing, Shieo-san.”
she joked in response to her aforementioned violence. Shieo's demeanor, as always, was ever-so-casual. It was amazing how much his usual dull presence brought her a sense of peace, especially since he was the source of her previous living nightmare. It didn't really matter, though - she knew it was a necessary trial to speed her growth and help her attain the strength she desired. The man then followed with a brief explanation on how to prevent and counter a genjutsu attack. Suika nodded her head with laser focus as Shieo elaborated on the Cancel jutsu. “Well, that would have been nice to know earlier...” she halfway grinned. “Nah, that would have been too easy.”</I><i></i>

After taking several mental notes, it was time for action. With a fortified confidence, Suika formed the tiger seal and prepared for an incoming genjtsu. A windy mist blurred her version as it filled every corner of the room.<I> “Ok, identify the flow and then reverse it. Identify and reverse. I got this.” Closing her eyes, the girl attempted to attune herself to her own chakra using an immense amount of concentration. She didn't possess complete mastery over chakra control, but her previous lessons and challenges, including today's, aided her in accomplishing this feat. “There!”

Her magenta eyes faintly glowed as she opened them with resolve. The fog dispersed as Suika regained visual clarity. She let out a deep sigh of relief as her pupils lost its lanterned-look. “The mist is now gone, Shieo.” The girl stretched her arms out, span around, and flashed the man a proud and playful grin. “What else ya got?” She hoped the answer was nothing. The student would have appeared fine to anyone else, but it would have been visible to her instructor that she was a bit worn. Her mind had undergone tremendous stress during this course and her chakra reserve was almost depleted. Despite this, Suika also looked as if some type of weight was lifted from her shoulders. Her guard was finally relaxed before Shieo for the first time since their fated encounter.

[OOC Note: Her 'glowy' eyes is a precursor to her soon-to-be Ghost Walker CA that will be applied for soon. Mostly a RP effect displaying her future gen resistance proficiency/otherworldly awareness]

At her rebuttal of his comment on the violence; he only had the drive to arch a brow. Figuring, that said plenty.

It wasn't long after the flooding of mist that encapsulated her vision had dispersed through the halting of her chakra. While her eyes were a curious feature of the young girl, he had figured it would be better to simply not pry. His life had recently become more complicated than he had hoped with the kids.
With her expressive of pride and the playfulness in her tone, he simple shrugged with some gentle effort. Both hands had found their way into his pant pockets; reaffirming his stance on the passivity of his actions. "While your persistence is admirable to some, you won't fool everyone with it~ Your mind is exhausted, and your muscles aching; you will feel the weight of the world and strain of going through what you did soon. The defense of the mind is troublesome like that."

He mused the silence after his words. This lasted for only a moments breath, but enough to draw the ears to hear his next words. "Nevertheless, you won't learn anything if I show you everything. But words of advice as a potential Genjutsuist; and someone who will be facing many others in her long future..."

And with almost a dual-toned reverberation to his voice occurred; while his spoken volume hadn't changed much. Don't believe everything you see and hear~ Even salt looks like sugar. Without hesitation he begun to walk towards the door that they both had entered through. In passing, he had released his hand from the pocket and patted her head twice.
Opening the door he looked back. "Good luck in your exams, I presume they'll be coming up shortly."

“You know, you're pretty perceptive for someone who always looks half asleep.” she replied in a matter-of-fact kind of tone. It almost sounded as if she was being sarcastic, but her assessment was quite serious. Her instructor consistently proved to be analytical and sharp-minded. It was no longer a surprise as this point, but she often forgot due to how plain he presented himself. “Not that there is anything wrong with that. I actually find him pretty tolerable.” The duo had come to a rough start, but Suika now aspired to achieve mastery in genjutsu just like her teacher. So far, the lessons that most impacted the girl's growth have all been based in his illusions. Well, if Bahamut was considered such. Who knew at this point.

Suika stretched out her arms and yawned – she was extremely exhausted. Shieo, as usual, challenged her passed her limits today and it was clearly shown through her ever-declining posture. The student slumped forward a little and gave the man a thumb's up following his dual-toned advice. “Got it.” It was a bit showy for her taste, but it was a necessary reminder. If there was one thing she learned throughout the entirety of her life, it was to trust no one; however, based on today's intense occurrence, she knew being so jaded wasn't the best approach to every situation. She had to exercise more discernment and, at times, let her guard down. With her prior conditioning, this would be no easy feat, but she had to try. She refused to be the vile, Ringo-like woman she saw in her vision. Her motives, now, were beyond the goal of physical survival. While important, the girl didn't want to lose her soul in the process.

“Sounds good, Shieo. I'll be ready for that next time we meet.” And then she was off. Her shinobi exam was coming up, as her instructor shared, so she had to prepare herself. A promotion meant further opportunities to grow. That was her desire and she was to surely accomplish it.
