Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was big, he'd give it that. Mist had tall buildings, not large ones. When your available space was limited to islands within a massive lake, you did a lot of upwards construction. Cloud didn't have that issue, and it showed in this very establishment. A wide open arena that could house a dozen fights at once. Or one big free for all. A smirk comes over Hoshikata's face as his golden eyes scan the grounds before him, mostly empty.

He was wearing his very best today. A black jacket over a white vest over a black dress shirt. He had black slacks with matching shoes, polished so much that they reflected the world in a muted color. White gloves covered his hands, and incidentally the chakra mark under his wrists. He was already unbuttoning the jacket, knowing he would need mobility in what he had planned.

As the fine material is hung on a chair, Hoshikata leaps into the arena proper and begins stretching. He let the sign outside do the work he should have been, inviting anyone for a friendly spar. He wanted to test out this new gift of his.

(Open to all, but I'd like an rp spar only.)

Yaban Hito sighed, picking himself up off the ground, smacking the dust and dirt off of his pelts. The boy looked around, thinking of something to do. In the distance, he noticed the Colosseum, in all of its glory. Since he had come to the academy, he had wanted nothing but to become the best, the strongest.... Yaban stretched, popping his back, his legs, and arms. He had made up his mind; to see what the Colosseum was all about. To him, the world of fighting was natural - it had become his natural instinct to fight and hunt.

The boy, walking to the Colosseum, smirked to himself, hoping that he could get into some sort of trouble there. Maybe it be fighting, maybe it be to see some fights. He couldn't resist the urge to speed his walk into a jog, then a run, his pent up thirst for violence keeping his imagination running wild of the future promises and endeavors he could, and might face. Not too long, he came upon the gates of the giant stone building. He could smell the sweat, blood, and tears put into the monumental entertainment building - and he enjoyed it. Though but a boy, he had the bloodthirst of a wild animal - and it was leading him to his destiny.

As he saw the sign outside, Yaban Hito didn't pay much attention to it - it wasn't very important to him. He had no need to read. Before walking through the gates, the boy adjusted his sword, to better comfort his back, then adjusted his bear-pelt mask to cover his face. He was in his own little world, ready for some fun; and opened the gates and walked through - seeing the man before him.

He watches as a kid walks through the gates before him, one dressed more like a barbarian of the north than a civilized member of this village. That brought a grin to his face, seeing someone likely free of the constraints of society. Hoshikata was a creature of civilization, a political beast. Someone who wasn't bound was a breath of fresh air. He had no doubt he could manipulate even these people, but it was interesting to have to pull out the old method of actually working for it.

The boy had a sword, he was in the arena. Ergo, he was ready. Hoshikata stretches out his arms and clenches his fists. A cylinder appears in each palm, a blade of chakra igniting from them. One was pure black and deep as the void, the other was a bright white that was hard to look at. He spins the white one in his left hand as he sizes the kid up. He had no idea of their skill. So time to find out.

It was a simple thing. He steps forward with his right foot, left arm rearing back as if to slash, before the right hand jabs out that black blade right at the other's face. Anyone who knew their way around a sword could handle it, but just in case the other didn't he would disengage the blade before hitting, so only a breeze would pass by the other.

Yaban Hito quickly felt gis anger rising, his face blushing with excitement of the man coming at him. To him, it didn't matter who the person was, it was a challenge. And he wanted it. He quickly noticed the footwork, and how he stepped forward with his right foot. Immediately, Yaban Hito thought the left foot was the weaker foot. Upon seeing the chakra blades, and how the man started to attack with his left hand. Yaban Hito began to ready himself for a party, then was taken back by the swap to the right hand jab. He lowered himself, positioned the sword in front of him, and went for a parry. Yaban Hito's bloodthirst began to consume him. He was already having a good time just by making a new, yet unexpected, challenge.

As his blade is sent away from the other, Hoshikata slides his left foot forward and presses down with the right hand blade, sweeping the left from below and diagonal-right up at the other's face. The pressure being put on their sword should keep it occupied, and he was eager to see how they would handle this.

It had been years since Hoshikata last worked with a blade, back when he was still an ANBU in Mist. This was also a test of his own skills. And who knew, if this kid did well enough perhaps he'd be able to handle what Yasuke hadn't been able to. Goodness knew it would be needed in the coming years.

Watched from under his bear pelt mask, as the other yet again, brought a new change to their movement. Yaban Hito didn't miss any movement, nor did he slow his own roll. As the right blade clashed with his sword, the left came for him. Yaban Hito trys to smack the others blade away, and if not successful - he had a plan. If the blade was unsuccessful in being knocked away, he would leap back to avoid being hit, then counter by placing the sword in front of him, rushing in, and at the last second drop to all fours, try to kick the shins of the other, spin, and trip the other with his left foot.

His onslaught was only beginning.

He would smile as the kid leaps back, but that would show that he expected something different. Hoshikata brings his feet firmly into line as the child jumps backwards, letting go with his left hand to send the thing holding his chakra blade flying. Instead of moving along as it should, however, the weapon seems to melt in his grip and become one with his gloves. And then the other rushes back in. Golden eyes widen as Hito drops to his fours and kicks out.

He hits only air. It was not that Hoshikata moved. He simply wasn't there. There was no settling of dust, one moment a grown man was standing there, and the next he was behind the kid and coughing. "Not sure what you're doing, but I'm over here." It would be interesting to use his new abilities to see how people reacted, and a kid was the perfect one. No one would believe a simple child who was still learning. They would assume he was simply unable to follow a faster foe.

Yaban kneeled down on one knee as the other vanished before him, and got behind him somehow. But, without any hesitation, he turned and swung his blade behind him, aiming for the voice. If connecting with the man, he would jump up and over the other, to try and get on the others back, to place the sword to his neck, and whisper in the man's ear. "I'm Yaban Hito. You, old man?" He didn't have much for manners.

IF NOT connecting: He would jump back and look at the man in the eyes, repeating the last statement before dashing back in to get in as close as possible.

The kid didn't hesitate, which was good. He reacted with a clear mind, swinging the blade as he spun and forcing Hoshikata to step back quickly out of the range of the weapon and knock it up with his own. His white blade was still in hand, the black one vanished into the ether. Odd how when that happened the glove on that hand seemed somehow different. Still, this kid was-

The boy leapt over him and Hoshikata dived forward, rolling off his shoulder and coming up turning to face Hito with a raised eyebrow. Old man? The Seer began chuckling as the white blade vanished, his glove suddenly gaining a blue glow. Both of them stopped glowing, and seemed to shift to metal suddenly. ”I'm Isaki Hoshikata. A pleasure.”

As Hito began to rush in, Hoshikata formed a quick handseal and sent a wave of raw kinetic force at the kid, wanting to see if this power would bowl him over or not. This could get interesting.
