Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Medical Branch Specialties said:
Any medic can specialize in any attribute of medical knowledge. To gain this, a shinobi must first post a roleplay of at least 600 words or more detailing a duration of time where they trained and received the knowledge. This can be done through several methods. 1.) It can be done in a single post, 2.) over multiple posts, 3.) with another medic who is also training in the same field as you, or 4.) with a shinobi already trained in the field you want. In the case of two shinobi training in the same field AND the same thread, both shinobi must have 600 wc posts. In the case of a shinobi training under a medic already trained in the field they want, the tutor’s word count adds to the training shinobi's WC.

All of these specialties can be trained to one of three levels: Novice, Experienced, and Mastered. Write a roleplay attempting to learn something and pm the Mednin Sennin who will give you your level.

The following are simply suggestions:

For experienced level: role play your medic doing a detailed study of a field over the course of three months and testing their knowledge along the way.

For mastered level: role play your medic doing a detailed study of a field over the course of six months and practicing what they learned along the way.

Note: The only IC requisites to learning a field is to portray learning a field accurately. While you don't have to wait several months Out of Character, please keep in mind that it does take months to learn a new field at experienced and mastered levels. So don't forget to show your character progressing in their knowledge of a subject over the course of the post. It is encouraged to edit your character history to reflect your tutelage. So continuity wise, please act as if you had been learning it for large period of time. For higher grades, Rp testing and practicing your knowledge. Its okay to Rp making mistakes and failing once or twice while learning in the post.

Quick vocab:

[*] Specialist: A physician whose practice is limited to a few particular branch of medicine or surgery. A medic is given this IC title when they have mastered three or more fields. This is the highest rank a med-nin can receive and while still under a chief in terms of authority, this title holds power over all other regular med-nins and MiTs.

[*]Tutor: a shinobi already trained, at experienced / mastered level, in one or more of the fields below and is teaching a trainee. (Note: tutor must have experienced / mastered level in a field they teach, to be able to roleplay teaching that specialty to another shinobi. Also, a tutor can only attempt to teach a trainee up to their current level. Ex: a biology tutor (experienced level) can only try to teach a trainee to experienced level, not mastered level. Either the tutor becomes mastered first, then continues to teach the trainee OR the trainee tries to teach themselves to mastered.)

[*]Trainee: a shinobi training in a field and is being taught by a mentor.

Kinjutsu surgery raised to novice level from this topic here.
The black clouds blanketed the midnight sky while claps of thunder echoed throughout the village within the mountain ranges. Strong bone chilling winds sung a soft melody as it blew through the nearly empty streets of the sleeping village. Daisuke had left the library in a rush to return to what those in his profession might have called head quarters. He leaped from one rooftop to another as quickly and quietly as possible so as to not draw any unnecessary attention to his self and shave time off his traveling distance. He gripped his backpack tightly as he flew through the air, cautious not to lose his precious Intel on his new test subject.

While in the library archives, he stumbled across some interesting documents which contained information from the soon to be test subject’s less than average academic records, short-lived genin-ship, and a copy of his death certificate. After a few more minutes or traveling, Daisuke landed feet away from the front doors and entered nonchalantly. He walked past the night-shift lobby receptionists, who were too busy assisting clients or paging other doctors for assistance to care about an off duty medical researcher with not published work, and made his way toward the supply room.

Upon entering the room, Daisuke sat his back pack down on the nearby counter and removed some summoning scrolls to save more room when storage supplies. He grabbed all that he could, from scalpels to bandages and sedatives to various prescription medications. He even stopped by the blood bank and took several bags of blood donated by a few civilian Uchihas. The med-nin never expected things to go so smoothly, but it seemed as if he might get away with what he was going to attempt. He grinned as he finished storing way his supplies and began walking towards the far side of the hospital, careful to avoid security guards and any means of surveillance. His breaths became shallower as he continued on to the far side of the hospital, continuously checking for security until he reached his destination, his office.

First level of his office 'Main Office' description:

The newly appointed chief stood before his white oak door, proud of all what it symbolized to him. His dedication to the medical field, his unwavering optimistic attitude, and the willpower to persevere through the tough challenges of life were just a few of the plethora of things it represented. This door and what there was beyond it, while plain to others, embodied all that had shaped him into the man he was today. Eager to get into his beloved personal space, he pulled out his id badge and swiped it through the scanner before turning the knob. His spacious office consisted of two levels: his office and conjoined research lab. The first level had wall to wall shag carpeting, a monitored intrusion alarm, central air conditioning, red and white potted camellia flowers, and a very nice view considering it was a corner office on the first floor.

Over the last few months Daisuke took his time decorating his office, wanting it to feel like a second home rather than just a place of business. Upon entering the room, one will notice two brown and beige sectional couches against the near left and right corners of the room. No doubt meant to seat the many staff members that made daily visits to the office, or so he liked to believe. His potted camellia flowers sat on the windowsill while the wall behind his desk held all of his accommodations and awards. Minus one or two differences, the left and right side of the office and the furniture seemed to be completely symmetrical.

Against the right wall after the couch came two five-drawer filing cabinets followed by a large white oak book shelf, another two filing cabinets, a display case filled with medical supplies, and to the far right corner of the room was the entrance to the basement level. The same description could be used for the left side of the office except for the fact that the far left corner of the room near his desk was a pantry which housed all his snacks and goodies to satisfy his sweet tooth.

meet n' greet here
Second level of his office 'Research lab' description:

Towards the far right corner of the room rested a steel door, made from his own chakra affinity, and possessed a seal which only reacted to Daisuke’s chakra. Once opened, a seven foot drop would land him on a footing in front of a large marble and granite stair case. The second level of his office consisted of an even more spacious basement level mezzanine loft design complete with a shag carpeted bedroom for when he decided to stay in the office, a fully stocked pantry, fully stocked supply closet, and both a fully functional laboratory and morgue each in a separate rooms.

Upon reaching the bottom of the stair case, one would currently be in the lounge and kitchen area. Cream lime wood panels covered the floor while a long kitchen counter lined itself with the wall. Two large pantries were placed perfectly in between the two gaps in the walled counters. One was packed with foods, fruits, and little vegetables while the other was packed with a large plethora of snacks. In the middle of the room stood a kitchen island with several stools and a sectional couch off near the wall.

To the left was Daisuke’s bedroom which consisted of a queen sized mattress, a night stand, mirror on the wall, one or two dressers containing spare clothes, and other hygiene products. To the far right of the stair case across the lounge and kitchen is another door which leads into his laboratory. The laboratory possesses all standard equipment which can be found anywhere else in the hospital and includes two supply closets. In here is where Daisuke does tests on clinical specimens in order to get information about the health of a patient as pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Finally, in the very far front of the stair case, is the morgue. Way past the kitchen and lounge behind two sealed doors is Daisuke’s personal morgue for storing his other paths when not in use. There are six drawers, though only five are / will be used at a time.

The sun had begun to set after a long day’s work, leaving behind a lovely shade of orange in the sky. Daisuke was always loved seeing the sunset as it reminded him that even the greatest of kings had to temporarily bathe in the darkness. While his first path, Fudo, had been away training his pupil in the mountain range, the chief knew he would need more power if he desired to protect kumogakure from any and all impending danger regardless of the nation responsible. He stood up from his desk and walked towards the door to lock it. He sighed wanting only for his power to grow without all the hassle of obtaining bodies. Luckily for him, he had already done so during the Bear-Marsh war.

He walked back towards the far right corner of the room and applied his soft touch to the metal room leading to his research lab. The door was activated by his chakra only, through his higher ups could find ways to bypass this lock. A quick drop down the staircase and his was ready to go. He wasted no time going into the morgue and walking towards the fourth drawer. He pulled out the body and placed it on a stretcher before rolling it over to the outer path statue. He hopped atop of the statue and sat crossing his legs.

He formed a hand sign while concentrating on building up his chakra to a certain point then maintaining that level of chakra control. It was no easy feat, but he managed to pull it off nonetheless. He sat very still and focused as the statue’s mouth opened and a stream of chakra and a mixture of his life force entered the dead body. Suddenly, he saw the flesh begin to repair itself. No doubt a trait which could be attributed to his natural healing talents, both as a member of the kaguya clan and as a medical ninja of kumogakure.

Being a medical ninja had it’s own set of rules to follow when out in the field as a support team member. One of those rules was to focus on defense and be the last one to dead if need be. The rule stemmed from the significance of the medic’s role. If they lived then, there was a chance to save some lives and finish the mission. Despite being from the kaguya clan, Daisuke followed those rules as best he could and as a result, he has never come close to death. Still, Daisuke could feel the cold grasp of death’s grip upon him.

His vision started to split in two, as if he was in a dark room watching television from one point of view, then having someone turn on another tv from another point of view. The color returned to the cheeks and the skin turned from rotten flesh to perfectly fair and the color of crimson flooded the eyeballs of the newest path. The tongue in the palms begin moving quickly, as though it was aching to chop down on some clay and infuse its explosive chakra. Daisuke began to breathe heavily as the technique took its toll. He stood up only to quickly lose his balance and fall from the statue. The new path acted quickly, catching him in mid air. "At least the movement seems fine. This muscle repair is amazing for a technique that took about an hour." he thought.

It was a day like any other. Daisuke had just gotten out of bed and begin his morning rituals. He bathed himself, brushed his teeth, made his breakfast, washed Boshi, got dressed and he was on his way. Inspired by what he had done back at the hospital involving another rikudo sennin, he decided it was time for him to continue building up his arsenal of shinobi bodies. Since he first arrived in cloud, his main goal was to become stronger, not for the sake of himself, but for those he cared for. This was also for his secret insecurities.

He didn’t want to be a burden to anyone, or dead weight as he sometimes referred to it. Climbing on Boshi’s back, they headed for Daisuke’s underground research lab. Before long, he and Boshi were climbing down the ladder into the research lab. Boshi went off into the corner, preferring not to see his owner perform such unique jutsu and he did so with good reason. Daisuke too preferred not to use such jutsu, but he had to become stronger, not just for his sake, but that of his friends, his village, and his student, Junko. Time was running out.

Moving towards the morgue, he pulled on a drawer and revealed a body under a sheet. Daisuke had heard rumors of a clan which possessed such speed that they were considered godly in a way. Such a power was viewed as necessary in his eyes. He placed the body on a gurney, a flat padded table or stretcher with legs and wheels which was used for transporting patients or bodies, and moved it towards the seventh path which lied dormant for months, since his last visit there with his student, Junko. He jumped atop the statue's head, sat down and activated it.

Chakra began to pour out from the statue’s mouth and engulf the body of the clan member. The chief seemed to have forgotten just how taxing the reanimation technique really was. For an hour or so, he sat there allowing his chakra to be funneled through the stone beast and into the corpse. Before another few minutes had passed, the process had been complete. Daisuke lied back due to exhaustion, closing his eyes to rest. However, the newest path took over just then. A young woman in body, but Daisuke in mind took this time to test the reflexes of his newest revival.

Stretches, sit-ups, push-ups, cartwheels, and rolls were performed so much, one could have mistaken Daisuke for preparing for a gymnastics class. Daisuke, now in a woman’s body, took it upon herself to name the corpse Azusa and to dress her as well. In her prior life, she was a member of the anbu of marsh, but on that battlefield all Daisuke saw was a dead woman with great skill. He saw no reason why such a body should go to waste in the ground. The reanimation process not only divided Daisuke’s mind, but healed the rotten body back into its original state. A body that had its varies tissue types restored to their former glory. A tweak he learned to make after his first two paths. Being a chief paid off nicely. With his new body, he went off to equip it with battle gear. He had big plans for this body.

Making his way down the hall in a rather irritated state with Hoshi in toe, Daisuke sighed a bit as he simply wanted to catch up on his work and get some rest. His path, Azusa, would care for Junko in any way possible, whether it be training, giving advice, mission preparations, etc. While Daisuke might have been away, would be taken care of in his absence. Soon, he stood once again in front of his oak door, swiped his keycard, and entered the dismal looking office. Once a second home to him, his office was now it was in need of sunlight and some spring cleaning. Hoshi wasted no time jumping on one of the black and sapphire blue sectional couches, something Daisuke did not care to address after what he had just gone through.

This referred to his dealings with the canine realm just before his arrival for the medical meeting. Those dogs put him through the ringer prior to his return home, and now he had an issue with a co-worker and potentially good friend. He refused to allow such stressful thoughts to inundate his mind for the moment. Instead, he sat down in his comfortable chair and made it lean back a bit while grabbing a fresh beverage from his cooler box. A glimpse of Keiji flashed in his mind as he sat there attempting to daydream. He would attempt to ignore it, but it would only happen again. Finally, he just had a nagging feeling surface from below. He felt wronged by Keiji, though he somehow felt responsible in a way.

Daisuke hated this feeling, unsure of whether he should doubt himself or stand firm in his belief that he did nothing wrong. He sighed knowing that he subconsciously could not let the issue rest until he figured out the problem. Perhaps it was really his pride at work; knowing the problem could easily be solved and yet he was having trouble finding the resolution. Regardless of his true reasons, Daisuke walked over towards his filing cabinets, bushed his fingers over the personnel files until he found the name he needed, pulled the file, slammed the door, dropped it on his desk, and then browsed through its contents. Speed reading only worsened the feeling in his stomach as he realized his error.

"Shit! How could I be so careless?", he thought as he continued to read. His irritation turned itself from Keiji inward towards himself. As a chief, he should have done his research on his personnel. What kind of chief doesn’t even look at the background of those around him? The apprentice’s socio-economic status, familial relationship status, as well as his family history was revealed all at once. He knew then that he had to make it right.

"No wonder he gave me attitude. Such a sensitive subject…at such a young age…his behavior was indeed valid." he said to himself. He sat back, drank his beverage as Hoshi drifted into his slumber, and relaxed for a while. An hour later...both his and Hoshi’s slept was disturbed by a large stack of mail, letters and packages, dropping onto the floor. Daisuke awoke, inhaled deeply and stretched as he stood up. With most of the mail on the floor, he noticed one package on the edge of the desk. He recognized the handwriting instantly and rushed to open the package with excitement. It had been months since he received a letter from his parents and he just couldn’t wait to read what had been written. The box contained the following contents: (1) a three page letter from his folks, (2) a letter from the coroner’s office, (3) two death certificates, (4) a consent form to release the bodies into his custody, (5) a consent form concerning company control, and (6) a last will and testament.

Daisuke’s eyes widened as he sorted through his mail. Heart palpitations increased, shortness of breath, and panicking thoughts were just a few symptoms he was feeling at that moment. He went through each letter and document in the order in which it was placed. First, he read the three page letter sent by his parents. It wasn’t even a Farwell letter; it was just a typical status report informing him that they were well and wanted for nothing. They went on to state that business was fine and that they missed him. He viewed it as useless rambling containing nothing of any true significance, given the situation. Second, he read a letter from the coroner’s office which informed him of his parent’s death. Being a member of the medical field, Daisuke knew the letter was legit and tears began to form in the wells of his eyes. The letter went on to state how they died and the chief’s hand began to crumble part of the letter.

"They froze to death?! Their bodies had to be dug out of ice!" he thought as he searched the rest of the contents for more answers. Third were the death certificates, which only confirmed what he had begun to fear most. The dates revealed that they had passed from the world months ago, and yet he was just hearing about it now. Fourth and Fifth, he wasted no time signing both the release form as well as the company controlling interest form, and quickly mailed it back to the appropriate addresses. Rushing back into his office, he slammed the door, which caused Hoshi to wake up.

"Daisuke, what’s going on?" the dog asked. Daisuke could only reply in a distressed tone, "Not now, Hoshi." Finally, only the will was left to read. The document indicated their wishes to be buried in their home town, for their son to head the company they built, and for him to give back to their community through charity and medical assistance if possible. How could he refuse such a thing? It was their last request after all. Of course the will would have to be read back in their home town for the funeral and Daisuke would be there without a doubt. Stress however, was a bit much to handle and he felt an overwhelming need to lash out at something. Performing a few hand signs, he summoned a path and opened a portal into a desolate island within the canine realm, sending the path through it. Daisuke sat there and cried for an hour, knowing not what do you next. His path on the other hand lied in what for orders from his subconscious counterpart.

Suddenly, his sorrow had turned into rage. In the five stages of grief, one goes through the following: (1) denial and isolation, (2) anger, (3) bargaining, (4) depression, and (5) acceptance. Only two stages were being expressed simultaneously. Daisuke could not deny the death certificates, the coroner’s report, and the will that he had seen with his own eyes. He was left only to grieve in his office and run wild on a desolate island. His path, Fudo, could only yell, smash, and slash large rocks with his unarmed and slashing taijutsu. His rage was unquenchable. If Mother Nature was a living creature, Fudo would be after her head for freezing over Mist. Every woman at some point in time had already cursed her for giving them a monthly ‘present’ so why couldn’t he curse her as well. Tears began to drench the chief’s face as Hoshi walked over and placed his paw on Daisuke’s shoulder. It was from that point on that things would never be the same.

Subject of study: Herbalism

Grade: Mastered level

Explanation, if needed:
Moved from experienced to Mastered level when considering this mission (here & the following post attached to this specialty. Both posts show "a roleplay of at least 600 words or more detailing a duration of time where they trained and received the knowledge."

Months ago…

Entering the hospital late at night, Daisuke slowly trekked his way to his office. His clothes were sweaty, his stomach was empty, and his body demanded rest. He had just returned from a plant hunting mission where he found and intended to study the plant’s properties for possible medical use. Being more than a bit tired, Daisuke would have preferred to sleep for the rest of the night, but duty called so he sucked it up, entered his office and dropped flat on the couch. About three hours later, he rose from his slumber only to satisfy his hunger and made his way over to the pantry and mini refrigerator.

Two foot long subs on tasty garlic bread later, he rose only to return to the sofa. He flopped down on the cushion causing the pollen from the plant to slightly sprinkle his face. He inhaled the pollen unknowing, but the side effects to follow would peak his interest. A crazy dream involving a desert shark and a burning mirror ensued and upon his awakening, he found that his muscles were locked in place for a moment or so. As his muscles loosened more and more, Daisuke managed to roll off the couch and hit the floor. “What the hell was that? What’s this on my face”, he asked himself as he wiped a bit on the pollen from his cheek. “What’s this? Pollen from the plant. And there’s a lot of it. Did I inhale this stuff? I’d explain the crazy dream, but I’m a doctor. I can’t just jump to conclusions. I’ll need to do the research.” he thought has he picked himself up off the floor, wiped his face more, grabbed his bag full of the plant samples, and made his way down into his research laboratory.

He got to work immediately preparing his research equipment and began to examine the plants properties. Naturally as one does, he started off by noting the appearance of the plant in hopes of finding a similar characteristic in certain other plants in the reference book. He cracked open a reference book and began reading aloud. “Herbalism is the study or use of the medicinal properties of plants.” It would be awhile before he would get his answers, but he was okay with that. “dark brown stem, thorns, pale blue blossom, green colored pollen, and no smell nor taste that I can detect.” he said as he jotted down his notes. Then it was time to follow the scientific method. First, ask a question. “Is this plant beneficial or detrimental to the human body?” Second, do background research. “The reference book suggests that this plant as properties similar to a plant of the same family. The former plant has addictive properties and has been known to cause hallucinations.” Third, construct a hypothesis. “This plant could possibly cause hallucinations and addiction.” Fourth, test one’s hypothesis through an experiment. It was here that Daisuke began his experiments with the lab rats. He would start off by exposing five rats to the pollen he himself had experienced hours earlier and choose not to expose another five rats to the pollen. By doing so, he established his independent and dependent variables. From there, he would study their behavior and metal aptitude through the use of mazes, memory tests, call and response, operational conditioning and the like.
Several months later…

After spending much time searching for similarities between the plant characteristics, Daisuke was finally able to conclude his results. This result led to the next step in the scientific method. Fifth, analyze one’s data and draw a conclusion. If successful, then he would follow step six and communicate his results. The process would take weeks when considering reliability and validity of the tests he would need to administer, but he had faith in himself. Daisuke was indeed successful in his study. He concluded that while not deadly to the human body, long term use could lead to muscle paralysis, lose in weight, blue coloring of and thickened saliva and mucus lowered appetite, addictive behavior, lowered white blood cells, which could lead to higher risk of infection. With his study finally complete, Daisuke knew that he would have to return to the plants growing site and destroy it completely. “If such a plant was manufactured into a drug, the effects could be far worse.” he thought.

Subject of study: Anatomy

Grade: Mastered level

Explanation, if needed:
This field has been instantly mastered with no prior experience to place on my skills list. If is because I have follwed the suggestions regarding how to receive a better score on one's specialties. Over 600 WC describing a detailed duration of time (9 months) where trained, studied, and practiced the knowledge.

Boredom was not something Daisuke usually experienced. In truth, the life of a shinobi was an exciting one. There was so much to do, so much to learn, and so much that was still out of one’s grasp. It was almost never ending in a sense. For every jutsu a ninja learned, there were fourteen more with which they were not familiar. There was always something to do. More training to do, more missions to accept, more jutsus to learn, more battles to fight, more people or creatures to meet. Yes, in Daisuke’s lifetime there was much he had accomplished and yet there was still much left for him to do.

To reiterate, it was seldom that the medic sennin experienced boredom but today he learned this feeling. It was brought on by himself as a result of pulling an all-nighter the previous night in an attempt to finally catch up on any backed up paper work. Sitting back in his comfortable chair, he realized that as of that moment he had nothing to do. Being a S-ranked ninja, he wondered what was left for him to do as he started going over his options. He found that there was no need to train, he already mastered over one hundred jutsu, he had enough paths at the moment, Junko was doing great in his training. It was then that a thought hit him.

"Perhaps I could go home early and relax. Naw, I’m not tired. I’m anxious, but for what. Well, I could always take a trip down to the black lotus resort. Naw, but it has been a while since I used learn more about medicine. How can I call myself the sennin of medicine when my subordinates are more skilled than me in a plethora of fields.", he thought has he rose from his seat. This was something he had not worried about since he first joined the medical program in repentance for the lives he took throughout his ninja career.

He stretched a bit, picked up his things, and made a call down to the department of anatomy. He requested a few anatomy reference books and 3-D models which were delivered to his office shortly thereafter by a member of the anatomy department. He made sure to thank the deliverer before dismissing them. He had work to do and he would not wait any longer. He refused to be a leader with the fewest amount of experience in the field. After all, was he not the head of battlefield medicine? No, of course he was...the head...of battlefield medicine...I think.

The human body is the entire structure of a human being and comprises a head, neck, trunk (which includes the thorax and abdomen), arms and hands, legs and feet. Every part of the body is composed of various types of cell.[1] At maturity, the estimated number of cells in the body is given as 37.2 trillion. ”, he read aloud, quickly realizing that it was going to take months to get through any chapter in a thorough manner. He sighed while facepalming with his right hand. Taking a deep breath, he continued to read the introductory chapter of the reference book.

As he read, he made sure to take carefully written notes for later review. Slowly but assuredly, the chapters began to make sense to the sennin. Soon enough, he even began to enjoy learning about the human body’s structure and being informed that both male and female body shapes were influenced by the distribution of muscle and fat tissue and also affected by various hormones. As he continued to read, he learned that a person’s height was determined in part to diet and genetics. Body type and composition on the other hand, depended on genetic diet and exercise. While he never really thought about it, it seemed strange that the human body contained several cavities which included the abdominopelvic cavity, the nasal cavity, and the sinuses which were located between the eyes, above the eyes, deeper behind the eyes.

He then put down the book for a moment and studied the cranial 3-D model to become better acquainted with the information he received. It was then that something began to stir inside him and it was not his inner demon, Gantetsu wishing to communicate with him. This was something different. The anxiety he had been feeling for the past month was the cause of this feeling. It was a strange mixture of uncertainty and excitement all at once. It was time for a break and he needed one now. He went over to his desk to retrieve his herbal medicine, which he created and used for his anxiety.

Daisuke was aware that self treatment was never a good idea, but the very thought of people knowing that he had problems with anxiety was not appealing to him at all. The last thing he needed was someone questioning his leadership skills. He had wrapped the herbs into small yet very potent doses and placed them into tea bags. A tea bag, a cup of hot water, some sugar, and a few drops of honey later, Daisuke was lying on the floor feeling relaxed as could be. The soft and fluffy shaggy carpet helped to calm him down. Soon, he would raise up and retire for the day. The following morning, he began spending more time down in the Anatomy department of the hospital.

Naturally, the the department head and the staff initially thought that they were about to have their funding cut, their research proposals tossed out of the window, and possible all be fired or let go. This was not the case. In fact, what Daisuke did next brought about nothing but shock and awe. The sennin of the entire medical branch...asked to be taught by a department head. The woman, who shall remain both nameless and description-less for the duration of this post, thought it strange at first but quickly warmed up to the idea. She stared at Daisuke when he first entered the room, afraid she might be in trouble since Daisuke never entered that department since he took over as a sennin. The woman felt as though the tables had turned and that created a power trip that she would pursue for a few months.

As one might expect, lessons and volunteer work began for the sennin during his free time. The way he say it, any time spent on video games, television, movies, and dates could be spent learning the new field. Over the next few months, Daisuke would receive instruction and take exams along the way, all for the sake of mastering Anatomy.

Four months later...

After months of study and research, the field of anatomy had become much easier to understand and memorize. He was now several chapters into the reference book. He began to learn about what the human body was actually composed of. Suddenly, his door opened with his permission nor a knock. In she walked, a member of the anatomy department that had been ever so subtly sexually harassing the sennin. He could never quite prove what she was doing but they both knew all the same. She walked in saying very little except the obvious. She explained that she was there to ‘assist’ him in anyway possible and made a note of their attraction towards one another. Daisuke knew he desired her as well, but such a thing was unprofessional and he had a reputation to uphold. Moments later, whatever happened would just happen.

The average adult body contains between 5 and 5½ litres of blood and approximately 10 litres of interstitial fluid. The composition of the human body can be referred to in terms of its water content, elements content, tissue types or material types. Oh my god! Ha! Ohh! The...the adult human body contains approximately 60% water, and so makes up a significant proportion of the body, both in terms of weight and volume. For the love of...Water content can vary from a high 75% in a newborn infant to a lower 45% in an obese person.” he struggled to say aloud. It was not that Daisuke was illiterate, it was because he was both intelligent and had power. It was for these reasons that he found himself in this situation, sitting at his desk...with a woman's legs sticking out from under it.

The member of the anatomy department had since taken an interest in Daisuke and refused to let up over the passing months. As Daisuke’s studies became more detailed, the woman’s presence in his office increased whether he liked it or not. Daisuke’s professionalism and shyness only made her want him even more. She was not the type to sleep her way to the top, mind you. She was a dedicated medic who had the title and position she wanted in the hospital. She was not doing with for a promotion or any other benefit that Daisuke could offer her. She was simply confident in her ability to get any man she desired. It was nothing more than a power trip for her. Unfortunately, what she believed was happening was nothing more than a genjutsu brought on through Daisuke’s uchiha path, Fudo. There was no way in hell he would compromise his position just because a woman liked to chase her men. While she dreamt of what Daisuke would never allow, he continued in his studies.

The nervous system consists of the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) and the peripheral nervous system. The brain is the organ of thought, emotion, memory, and sensory processing, and serves many aspects of communication and controls various systems and functions. The special senses consist of vision, hearing, taste, and smell. The eyes, ears, tongue, and nose gather information about the body's environment. The musculoskeletal system consists of the human skeleton (which includes bones, ligaments, tendons, and cartilage) and attached muscles. It gives the body basic structure and the ability for movement. In addition to their structural role, the larger bones in the body contain bone marrow, the site of production of blood cells. Also, all bones are major storage sites for calcium and phosphate. This system can be split up into the muscular system and the skeletal system. The circulatory system or cardiovascular system comprises the heart and blood vessels (arteries, veins, and capillaries). The heart propels the circulation of the blood, which serves as a "transportation system" to transfer oxygen, fuel, nutrients, waste products, immune cells, and signalling molecules (i.e.,hormones) from one part of the body to another. The blood consists of fluid that carries cells in the circulation, including some that move from tissue to blood vessels and back, as well as the spleen and bone marrow.” he read and took more notes. The book went on to explain the respiratory, digestive, integumentary, urinary, immune, lymphatic, and endocrine systems. All of which were long and exhausting, but well worth it. The information was only the rudimentary information needed to pursue various fields under the banner of Anatomy. Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months.

Five months later...

By this time in his self learning regiment, Daisuke was simply testing his knowledge and applying it in practical ways. In his free time, if he was not taking Anatomy exams then he was volunteering at the department and making inquiries about the subject. It was a long and fruitful journey. The exams came back with nothing short of 88% and his practical applications involved repaired damaged systems with in animals. Fish with impaired reproductive systems, rabbits with a bad nervous system, a fox with heart problems. Everything was within Daisuke’s reach. Healing the animal’s specific anatomic problems made him realize how much chakra he had wasted in the past on healing people’s healthy systems in addition to people’s injuries. This new found skill served him well over the coming months. It was as if he were re-learning the the ability which allowed him to conserve as much of his chakra use as possible and still obtain the same results while less skilled medic would go on using far more energy than necessary. It was an incredible feeling. An old dog could still learn new tricks.
