Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kamaru’s breathing gasped a bit as he resurfaced. Looking around it was still the same on the surface, no one around and quiet besides the sounds of nature around him. Was this mission a punishment of sorts? He was suppose to kill the target once found but he had opted to just set things up to look like he was lost in the confusion and the possible structure of the temple crumbling a bit. Repairs had been made and information had been extracted from the man through various means and although he proved more valuable alive and talking than dead Kamaru did not follow his mission objective, protocol, and almost destroyed part of a building that was possibly a cornerstone to the village and country in just symbolism alone.

Shuji Hara, was his primary focus now not his own career, an agent of an organization calling themselves the United Strike Force had Kamaru thinking of bad cheezy villains again looking for world surpemacy. Between reports of him coming into the village to broker a deal and an injured shinobi who got into an encounter seeing a man being attacked at the lake had Kamaru in his current position. Neither him or his target had that much time before the mission would end one way or another, early. The shinobi seeing the man’s vessel sinking had moved out to help him thinking the other group to be aggressors, being picked off by the attackers with ranged weapons had him escaping the area. He had dropped a large mass of earth on the escaping boat though realizing the man was dead. He had planned on coming back quickly after getting patched up but a punctured lung didn’t have him moving back in enough time to free the man, in actuality it was more like he had sentenced him to an accidental watery grave of sorts.

Kamaru’s mind wandered a bit how the man was keeping it together or if he was at all. Was he hoping for a way out? Resolved to figure things weren’t going to go the way he wanted? Did he think someone was coming for him to help him? Would he get out scott free for his actions which was the betrayal of those around him being more damnable than himself? Was he the worse of the bunch and just selling everyone else out? Kamaru wondered many things as he continued to dive. Considering the time of year he was thankful he had managed to get a wetsuit opted to not show up in his standard attire considering he’d just ruin a suit. The frigid water let him know not a lot of other people were probably diving looking for the man. Maybe the attackers thought the falling rock had killed him. But like Kamaru the fact there was nobody yet meant he was still alive or buried somewhere under the surface.

Goggles at the bottom of the lake didn’t help much, they protected his eyes from getting whatever was floating around him but he couldn’t see much in the murky water. Managing to use a glowing crystal he formed made everything seem like a murky slow moving dream in a way. Wherever the entrance to the underwater makeshift cave was it was hard to find, Kamaru had been attempting to find it by touch.

Eventually pushing his hand and feeling air following by his head popping out had kamaru flailing back in the waters as a peice of driftwood tried to connect with his head.

”Shuji, good to know you’re conscience, we got to go before you run out of air.” Kamaru stated looking at the what looked like tired and winded man. He shook his head and tried to stand before falling down again. Kamaru shook his head and grabbed him by the leg pulling him into the waters kicking and screaming.

Moving towards the surface Kamaru figured out why, seeing dim blue lights moving closer and feeling things pull at him as he tried to move away didn’t make him feel any better. It must have been the lack of oxygen but Kamaru was pretty sure they looked like drowned humans with icy cold fingers. Flailing free eventually got them moving towards the surface. Kamaru moved through hand seals as they got close to being able to walk out. Kamaru and a large formation of rock lumbered out carrying a body. Kamaru shook his head in remorse.

Looking around Kamaru moved to a dry area and pulled out a scroll and unfurled it. As a set of fresh dry clothes became readily available as well as a towel Kamaru tidied up a bit looking around and back towards the unmoving body the golem carried. As he moved to the closest house Kamaru found himself looking into what seemed to be the home of a pot maker, a pot master or a Master Potter? Kamaru wasn’t sure but inquired at the front door as to what he needed. Explaining he’d found a body and need to get it back to the village for indentificaiton or at least burial or cremation got an odd look until he pulled out money and asked for two sets of waterproof tarps.

The man obliged as best he could making small talk giving Kamaru to look around at the odder designs of some of the work decorating the place. It might have been his nerves from whatever he had felt underwater in the lake but he could have sworn one of the clay figures had moved or blinked. Dismissing it he recieved three tarps, one the man explained was better to wrap bodies in before any rituals were done to them. Thanking the man Kamaru used a bit of rope and tarps to rig up something while the Golem held a wrapped body of the man Kamaru was suppose to save.

The craftsman was surprised by the gust of wind that slammed into the two tarps as they billowed out lurching the mostly leaning back golem forward as it picked up in intensity. Slowly the golem was dragged along until it got on a harder path, with less resistance Kamaru perched ontop found himself and the golem flying down the path. Bounding along in his odd fashion Kamaru thought it a surprise when he was closing in on the village to see a shinobi coming out to stop him.

The man explained he’d take Hara’s body to the temple for him. Kamaru nodded and asked how he received word he was coming. Explaining it off that the potter Kamaru had meet had sent word was offered up to which Kamaru nodded. As the man got closer Kamaru stopped him. Asking how he knew about the potter who didn’t have a radio of any kind managed to get word here ahead of him when he was the only one hurtling towards the village. Dismissing Kamaru and explaining Kamaru must have mentioned the potter got a steely look out of the man. Explaining he’d take the body in himself got an immediate turn in the man’s behavior. Talk of just doing his job came up and taking things up the chain to the Main Branch Sennin. Kamaru raised an eyebrow at this and asked if the man thought that would help or if it was a threat. Getting someone spitting back at him he’d ruin Kamaru’s career since he was impeeding the mission and that the Sennin wouldn’t take kindly to it. Inquiry into if he knew this Sennin personally got a reply back that not only did he know him well that if the man explained Kamaru should be confined to prison while things were sorted out it would be a done deal. Kamaru nodded and let the man know he’d have to do what he had to do. Kamaru would as well since he had his own mission. The man flicked something out towards the wrapped body before it caught flame and became quickly engulfed in fire. Something started to uncurl from around him as he dove at Kamaru before everything went black in front of him and he slumped.

Kamaru shook his head, he didn’t make a lot of friends but the one’s he did make if he ever thought they’d try and use knowing him to their advantage as a scare tactic for personal gain he made a note to pummel them much like he had just done. With a sigh he dragged the braggat back to the village the golem not far behind leaving the husk of the fabric wrapped body that slowly had died down from burning.

Inside the village walls Kamaru dismissed the golem a man falling out of the craggy creation.

”Was this one of the men that was attacking you so you wouldn’t spill the beans?” Kamaru asked the bewildered man.

As he nodded Kamaru muttered he figured and started marching his two charges to the Onyx Sanctum.
