Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Old Character Name: Roukan Gattsu
Old Village/Missing: Cloud
OCR Type: Early Retirement
Last Known Where-abouts: Taijutsu 101 Weapons R Us [Class]
Old IC Rank: Academy Student

New Character Name: Senju Harou
Preferred Username: Harou
New Village/Missing: Sunagakure
New BL/CA: Reckless
Drug Effects: Harou, due to his injuries was quite accustomed to pain and as such had a high tolerance to pain and injuries to begin with. Under the effects of the Benadolla drug, his pain receptors are numbers and in tangent with his high pain tolerance, he has no issues with taking seemingly life threatening risks in combat.

Specialized Combatant: Harou is considered a specialized combatant, having never attended formal training due to his disability and having no formal training in any form of combat. Despite this, he more than makes up for this with sheer power, resiliency, and ingenuity. The drugs allow him to overwhelm those with enhanced strength, speed, and agility. This however works in conjunction with his high intellect and immense creativity, adaptability, and cunning nature. It is widely believed that if not for his injury, he would have been considered a gifted shinobi due to his combat prowess, the drugs only letting him use his body as he desired.

Perception: Despite his seeming disregard for any strategy and self-admitted aversion to thinking, Harou has regularly displayed more understanding than one would expect from someone who spent most of his childhood disabled. He is very adept at finding and exploiting weaknesses in opponent’s techniques, and likewise at adjusting to his opponent’s attack patterns and battle methods to better counter them.

Reckless Origin: Due to his unique mindset and increased physical abilities and numbness to pain, Harou has developed a Reckless and violent way of combat. The drugs allow him to sustain heavy damage and as such he has seemingly little regard for his own physical condition. He lives for battle and the hunt now, and enjoys the thrill of being a predator more than anything. He claims injury and death are nothing but the price one pays for a good fight. His sadism shows often during his fighting style, showing a brutish but efficient and deadly style of combat.

Character Age: 12
Gender: Male
Sex: Male
Harou is a light skinned male, who has short spiky black hair with bangs that are brushed to the right, and dark eyes. Prior to the medication, he was weak and thin, often showing a sickly appearance. However, after his surgeries and use of Belladonna, he has a lean yet muscular body, with a large scar that runs diagonally from the center of his abdomen to his right thigh, an injury he accumulated at infancy from the Cabal terrorist attack. He also has numerous small ones all over his body, exhibiting healing past surgeries that he underwent during his recovery. He often wears dark clothing and fingerless gloves with boots, with a set of dog tags that hang around his neck. The dog tags seem to hold some personal meaning to him, though he has yet to tell anyone of its actual symbolism, instead keeping the meaning to himself.
One of Harou’s most important traits is his need for control – of himself and of others around him. Possibly due to the trauma experienced as a child, he has unrelenting rage and darkness in his heart that he effectively has named the Beast of Darkness, often just the Beast. He is very organized in all aspects of his life. He keeps his home clean and neat, writes meticulous notes about his studies, and carefully plans most of his goals and aspirations. Harou admittedly calls himself a “control freak”.

Harou can be quite charming but he is a practiced liar, and in most cases, more trust is placed upon his thoughts than his words. Due to considering his birth a tragedy that cost him the life of his birth parents, Harou has a large amount of darkness in his heart and due to his disability, it became difficult for him to express emotions for those around him, effectively becoming darker as he grew older, showing sociopathic tendencies by the time he underwent treatment.

Except for anger, Harou’s emotional responses are usually part of a well-rehearsed act. He claims he doesn’t have any feelings but feels that in order not to draw attention to himself he needs to effectively communicate to “Humans” on an equal level, doing many studies on social interaction and emotional responses.

Harou frequently references his internal feeling of emptiness as a result of mostly growing older without any real future. He has a fascination with the Ranger Order as he has a skewed belief that their ways of the hunt would be a way to “feel alive” as he considers himself devoid of normal human emotions. He however enjoys the idea of the hunt, the stalking, killing, and ending of a life that he deems unworthy to be Sunagakure, showing intense loyalty to the village and anything that threatens it.

He often refers to “humans” as if he is not one of them, equating himself to a dark deformed monster in the corners of his mind that pretends to be human. Despite his self-perception, he shows intense loyalty to the Senju Clan, his comrades, and particularly his guardian Senju Rikuto who found a way to accomplish the goals he had in mind. Though showing sociopathic and psychological flags, he refuses to allow the darkness in his heart to run rampart and truly believes he needs to aspire to be a normal human with morals, showing that despite his apparent dark personality he chooses to do good despite not understanding the morality of being good.

Above all however, he seems to be most alive on the battlefield, often seen smiling in combat; hinting a sadistic side which compliments his thrill for blood and apparent love for the hunt. Moreover, he tends to toy with opponents that are weaker than himself before finishing them off remorselessly without guilt.

Despite his apparent sociopathy, he isn’t without a heart. He considers himself to have a small conscious that allows him to live by a strict code of needing to be good despite his attraction to evil. His willpower and need for control allow him to exhibit almost superhuman willpower that effectively puts his Beast in check, allowing him to live relatively normal without people noticing his madness. He however despises those of Demon Ancestry or sadistic killers, as they often notice that he is much darker than he seems, almost as if a predator noticing another predator in their vicinity.

Effectively, Harou should have been evil, exhibits evil qualities, and has the personality of a charming psychopathic serial killer. Due to his small conscious, need for self-control, and possibly his disabled experiences -- he instead chooses to be good and kind despite not fully understanding the concept. Senju Rikuto, who is one of the few who noticed the darkness in Harou’s heart has been teaching him to control his dark urges and impulses and to live his life by the Senju Code as well as his own code overtime.
Multiple Personality Application: None
Born into the Senju Clan on the night of the terrorist attack by the Cabal, Harou was left an orphan as both his parents were killed in the heinous attack. Debris had fallen on his mother right after she gave birth, causing her to be impaled by the destroyed structures. Senju Rikuto, friend and colleague to the family found Harou being protected by his mother’s body who attempted to shield him from the destruction from the attack. Unfortunately, Harou was gravely injured even as an infant and due to the terrorist attack on the village, aid was not immediately available to be given to Harou which resulted in permanent damage to his vital organs and respiratory system. He would be incapable of becoming a normal functioning adult, much less a shinobi.

Most of his childhood was spent reading stories and novels of legendary shinobis and warriors who protected Sunagakure in the days of yore. Of all the legends and stories he learned of, none fascinated the young boy more than the Ranger Order. The strength and Spartan like lifestyle they lived, along with their history fighting against the Gods and monstrous beasts of yore fascinated him. He often fantasized that he himself would become a powerful Ranger who would rid the world of monsters such as Sandworms and atrocities like the Cabal so none would suffer the life he himself currently was cursed in.

He was Senju in name only, his injuries preventing him from walking without aid much less train to be a shinobi. His resentment towards the Cabal only continued to grow as he held them responsible for his parent’s death as well as taking away his future. As he was unable to train his broken body, he began learning as much as he could about Sunagakure and its history and trying to find as much information as possible on the Cabal. His civilian like status caused many limitations on what he could read into, frustrated that he remained unable to find the information he desired without being a shinobi himself.

On his eleventh birthday, Senju Rikuto who had been secretly searching for someone to aid the young Harou had heard of a prodigal Med-Nin known as Byakko Kyuji who could possibly aim the young aspiring boy. Upon contacting Kyuji, the young med-nin explained the severity of Harou’s injuries, explaining that this was as permanent as it could get. Disheartened the boy fell into depression before Kyuji offered an experimental procedure to possibly aid the boy. However, the procedure was experimental and dangerous though this did not deter Harou who dreamt of becoming a shinobi, becoming a Ranger, and exacting revenge on the group that ruined his life, the Cabal.

For the next year, Senju Harou underwent various surgeries and physical therapy in order to improve his body and functions again. However his organs were also extremely damaged, as a result Kyuji created an experimental drug that would theoretically allow his organs to function normally. The drug was known as Belladona. As the drug was experimental, it had unknown side effects at the time of conception.

Belladona was originally created by Kyuji to aid Harou’s organs to function properly and help him attain better function over is physical capabilities. The drugs however functioned in a way to enhance strength, speed, and agility as well, functioning similar to performance enhancing drugs. Despite its potency, Belladona was found to be addictive and toxic to the body. His body became instantly dependent on the drug, Harou requiring a controlled, continued amount of Belladona in order to stay alive, as it took over his body’s vital functions. Failure for him to regularly take Belladona results in withdrawal symptoms, including dizzy spells, nausea, palpitations, and migraines. Longer withdrawals include hemorrhages, convulsions, hypothermic, labored breathing, and irregularities in cardiopulmonary activity, and eventual heart failure with certain death.

As a result, Kyuji created a depressant/tranquilizer as an opposite to Belladona, effectively becoming a “Downer” and the original drug becoming the “Upper”.

Upper reacts as a stimulant, increasing physical capabilities of Harou far beyond what his broken body was originally capable of. It also allows him to use his body to its limits, allowing him to function normally as well as extraordinary if overdosed on. An overdose severely numbs the pain receptors but also run the risk of incurring further organ damage and a manic state.

Downers act as a depressant or tranquilizer, slowing senses and movement. If taken alongside the upper, it can help maintain the body’s stability. This basically counteracts the effects of the Upper, to avoid overdosing on the upper. When overdosed on Downer, it can cause loss of consciousness, risk of organ damage as it reverts Harou’s body back to its broken state, and extreme fatigue.

As a result, they are usually taken together to neutralize the effects of one another and their symptoms are generally only visible when taken alone. Because of Harou’s dependency on the drug, Kyuji manages Harou’s drug supply strictly and monitors his physical condition closely.

After the successful operations, therapy, and medical drug. Harou was capable of far more than he imagined physically. He instantly enrolled into the Academy and began readying his mind in body for the goals he had in mind. His dream of becoming a shinobi, his dream of becoming a Ranger, and his dream of becoming a proper Senju in the future and undergo the Joining. Everything was but a step however, his true goal was to hunt anything and everything deemed a danger to the village and its inhabitants. He was going to become a hunter of all.

  • Personal Opinion: Playing an angry/troubled character may make it hard for you to interact with your children-peers. Not saying it cannot be done, but it is difficult but you may find that others are finding it difficult to have a reason to interact with your character. These sorts of characters are absolutely allowed but I know finding RP partners was somewhat difficult for you.
History: Due to the mention of addictive properties in the drug being used I need to verify with Admin that this falls within the content rating for the site. The rule being "drugs" rather than medicines, potions rather than... Honestly it is a bit of a hazy subject but I do not want someone coming down on your after you have gotten rolling with your character because that is difficult.
  • Personal Opinion: Belladona is an actual drug in the real world. Well, similarly named (Be;;adonna). Are you certain that you are going to want your medicine to be 1 N off from another known plant that has varied properties?

Will need a second council person to complete these approvals.

I allowed Kyuji to name the medical drug so honestly I had nothing to do with the name of it lol. Can be changed though if it's easier, I just asked Kyuji if he/she would want to change the medical drug to something and that was the name they suggested.

Thanks for the suggesting for the mental history, I plan to play him in a way that it won't be noticeable at all. Lots of pretending and such, so it won't be like he is angry at the world or edgelord etc. He will be fairly polite and kind, though all in act to fit in. Most of it is an internal conflict...at least that was the way I envisioned it. [Sorry for double post, didn't see it the first time]

I neglected to see the site rating thing, that was completely my fault as it clearly states no addicting effects. I was just trying to be realistic as most heavy medication that helps people function are realistically addictive in many cases. However it is clearly stated in the rules that there shouldn't be addictive properties, I clearly violated said rules accidentally and revised the history to take away all terms stating "drug" and changed it to medication as that was my intention to begin with, I was not trying to make them sound like recreational drugs. Addictive traits were removed, withdrawal symptoms have been changed to toxicity levels if not used properly.

Regarding Senju Clan: I had already spoken with Kazuki through PM on here requesting joining his clan which he approved and explained the history/function of the Senju Clan. Feel free to message him for verification. I was awaiting his approval on here for papertrail purposes as well.
Born into the Senju Clan on the night of the terrorist attack by the Cabal, Harou was left an orphan as both his parents were killed in the heinous attack. For the next year, Senju Harou underwent various surgeries and physical therapy in order to improve his body and functions again. However his organs were also extremely damaged, as a result Kyuji created an experimental medication that would theoretically allow his organs to function normally. The medication was known as ESTUS. As the drug was experimental, it had unknown side effects at the time of conception.

ESTUS was originally created by Kyuji to aid Harou’s organs to function properly and help him attain better function over is physical capabilities. The medication however functioned in a way to enhance strength, speed, and agility as well, functioning similar to food pills. Despite its potency, ESTUS was found to be toxic to the body. His body would also revert back to a broken state if not constantly medicated, effectively making him only a shinobi if properly taking his medication, Harou requiring a controlled, continued amount of ESTUS in order to stay alive, as it took over his body’s vital functions. Incorrect amounts of his medication could cause severely toxic effects, including dizzy spells, nausea, palpitations, and migraines. Large toxicity levels include hemorrhages, convulsions, hypothermic, labored breathing, and irregularities in cardiopulmonary activity, and eventual heart failure with certain death.

As a result, Kyuji created a depressant/tranquilizer as an opposite to ESTUS, effectively becoming a “Downer” and the original medication becoming the “Upper”.

Upper reacts as a stimulant, increasing physical capabilities of Harou far beyond what his broken body was originally capable of. As a result, they are usually taken together to neutralize the effects of one another and their symptoms are generally only visible when taken alone. Because of Harou’s dependency on the medication, Kyuji manages Harou’s medication strictly and monitors his physical condition closely.

Drug terminology, addictiveness, and withdrawal symptoms have been removed and changed to fit within standards. They are purely medicinal and used for bodily functions with certain effects caused.
Medicine Effects: Harou, due to his injuries was quite accustomed to pain and as such had a high tolerance to pain and injuries to begin with. Under the effects of the Estus medication, his pain receptors are numbed and in tangent with his high pain tolerance, he has no issues with taking seemingly life threatening risks in combat.

I approve his entry into the Senju Clan.
However, you will need to make a slight edit to your background because we were not part of Sunagakure at the time of the Cabal attack. We only joined Sand after it was over and the gates were open once again.

Everything is approved on my end. The edited changes (nice papertrailing of it by the way) conform to the rules. With the drug being purely medical it falls cleanly within the site rating rules making the previous concern a non-issue. I see your user group has been added., banner given and name has been changed. Anything else missing/needed Kazuki?

I thought more about Michi said and decided to change my mental description a bit. Thanks for the tips Michi!
Harou is best described as hardheaded, strong-willed, passionate and impulsive, to protect the Senju Clan and those of Sunagakure. Even as a young child, he was desperate to become a shinobi and join the Ranger Order despite his injuries at the time making that future impossible. He has deep seated hatred for traitors and those who threaten Sunagakure, showing complete devotion and loyalty to his people, especially his clansmen and comrades. He despises cowards the most, often referring to them as complacent and weak. Despite his loyalty and honor, he does have a cynical and bleak outlook on society and humanity as the evil they are capable of cause’s widespread destruction to those around them.

Since his childhood, Harou has cared deeply for those in the Senju Clan and his guardian Senju Rikuto – the latter being the reason he is even capable of being a shinobi. He cares so deeply for his family and comrades that he risks harm and even death to protect those he holds dear to his heart. His caring nature was often demonstrated even when injured, often speaking out against injustices that he witnessed such as bullying which often resulted in a beatings as he was unable to defend himself in his weakened condition. Despite this, Harou is also capable of displaying absolute brutality and sadism in combat, especially when defending or avenging his family and friends from harm or death. This shows that despite his kindness – he is capable of going into a rage if witnessing his loved ones injured or killed in front of him.

His parent’s violent death caused him to focus his destructive rage onto those who threatened his home, currently Sunagakure. When fueled by his destructive anger, he becomes almost consumed by hatred and rage without showing fear or harm or death of himself. Harou possesses great amounts of selflessness, perseverance, fortitude, and determination. Even while injured and incapable of training, he spent much time reading historical documents and research in order to find a way to become useful to the Senju Clan and Sunagakure. After his treatment, he spends countless hours training and working out his body as he feels he needs to play catchup to those that are before him, showing absolute devotion to his studies and training.

When in combat, Harou becomes far more savage, bloodthirsty, and all-around almost uncontrollable rage. For the most part, he is conscious of his bloodthirst and rage but if witnessing an atrocity allows himself to be consumed to exact vengeance on those who hurt others. This shows a childlike almost black and white view of good and evil as he believes those who willingly succumb to evil are worthy of his absolute wrath. He is also aware that a part of him has a love for combat and the thrill of being in a life or death situation though since he focuses this part of himself on those he deems evil, he doesn’t necessarily see it as problematic.

I changed the history around Kazuki. Let me know if there are anymore issues.
Born into the Senju Clan on a stormy dark night, Harou was left an orphan after an unknown assailant killed both of his parents in a heinous attack. An explosion was set off shortly after his birth, causing destruction and damage of his home. Debris had fallen on his mother right after she gave birth, causing her to be impaled by the destroyed structures. Senju Rikuto, friend and colleague to the family found Harou being protected by his mother’s body who attempted to shield him from the destruction from the attack. He was Senju in name only, his injuries preventing him from walking without aid much less train to be a shinobi.

It also allows him to use his body to its limits, allowing him to function normally as well as extraordinary if properly controlled.

Because of Harou’s dependency on the medication, Kyuji manages Harou’s medication strictly and monitors his physical condition closely.
