Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

At age nine our Lord Raiden went to a fair. At the fair he walked around, looking at each vendor and then ignoring them and their claims, until he came across a tent which most people were ignoring. He entered that tent and there he met a fortune teller. Nothing is known of what she looked like, and the only reason what it is that she told Raiden is known is what was written from his own tellings.

Later in life, after founding Kumogakure he spoke with the village leaders and told his tales where they were written down, recorded for all others to access and read. One of those tales was that of the fortune teller. The fortune he was told is a strange one, he said that the fortune teller told him that "she saw greatness in his future, one filled with heroics, but that in his afterlife it is then that he would achieve the greatest exploits, but that he was fated to destroy all that he built". Rising to the king of the gods he certainly achieved what she claimed, yet for hundreds of years none knew what was meant by the last thing he was told.

Until a lightning bolt, larger than any that had come before it struck down upon Kumogakure, annihilating the village and killing most of its occupants.

A tent, small and plain sits on the outskirts of the Ancient Forest, overlooking the graveyard of Kumogakure where those who had served during life now rested. The tale of Raiden's fortune calling in one of those mystical people to take part in the festival. What was strange about this one however was that the organizers of the festival didn't call on them for the role, rather they simply turned up a day earlier, setting up their tent, and letting the Raikage Tower know that they were there.

Strange as this is, the Tower is allowing it and having it be a part of the festivities.

Any and all are encouraged to visit. Who knows what Fortune is in store for you. In the end they don't mean anything anyway, it's all just a bit of fun isn't it? Or is it.

[OOC: Make a post if you want to risk having your fortune told. The Seer will reply to all who want their fate told. Who knows. Maybe Cloud's Seer is the very same those hundreds of years ago told Raiden's.]

Shin wasn't one to shy for an opportunity of learning, regardless of the negative possibilities that meeting such a figure could have on his life. Knowing ones fortune could have drastic and devastating consequences on a person, yet it was that danger that drew him towards the forest this day. The cold air caught his coat as his eye scanned the area, looking for the tent's location. When the invitation to have his fortune told was presented to him, Shin was not hesitant in the slightest as he made his way towards the Nimbus. This was something that the trainee needed to know for himself, his currently path was one that would continue to mold him into the being of his father's designs, yet Shin himself need to know more of what fate would entail for him in the future. True, Raiden's Fortune could just be a story and the cold man would just put it off as just that. But he had to see and hear this for himself. So the trainee continuing walking through the forest stopping as he reached the tent. It was time to see what fate had in store for him.

"Shall I enter, Seer?"

Osu was excited and nervous to see the seer. According to his Tales of Raiden story book Raiden was also nine when he had his fortune told. As he waited he wondered if he would have anything exciting told to him about his future. Maybe he too could have a life filled with heroics and glory. A life with adventures in amazing places meeting all sorts of people. At the very least he hoped he become a decent medic. He was also afraid of being told he would not live very long or he would find too much excitement. After all, one of the worst things you could wish on someone would be that they live in interesting times. Who knew, maybe he would be the one shinobi who ever lived an entirely boring life. Osu giggled at the thought, like anyone could be that lucky. He wondered about the fact there wasn't much of a line at all but shrugged it off and began reading from his Tales of Raiden book while he waited.

"Enter Kurogane Shin." It might surprise the young man that the person within knew his name without even seeing him. Perhaps this would be the first step in making him a true believer. As Shin entered the tent, his eyes rested upon a cloaked figure with a kerchief over its mouth. Only its eyes were visible, and they almost seemed to glow with an otherworldly hue. The figure motioned for the trainee to sit, and hovered its hands beside a crystal ball. It was a purple color, and appeared to course with lightning. Resting within was the plume of a large bird, possibly the exact bird that the event from earlier was centered around. The Seer's hands tensed, and sparks of lightning shot from the ball around the tent. However, when they struck Shin, he felt nothing out of the ordinary. The lights sparked around him for a few seconds before the Seer spoke in a muffled voice.

"In your future, a place of ruin, where things that sleep arise,
With strength and smarts, and light of heart, you'll find the ultimate prize."

When the last of its words faded, the orb died down. There was a moment of silence as the Seer closed its eyes to contemplate. "You have received your fortune. May Raiden smile upon you."

Upon Shin leaving, the Seer called out through the tent. "Enter Chigokai Osuteno." This might have startled Osuteno, as he hadn't even declared his presence to the person within. When he entered, he saw the same as Shin, and felt the same. Lightning flowed around him, yet it did him no harm.

"In your future, I see a house, where blood became your life,
An event will occur, who's the cause is a blur, but it could cause much suffering and strife."

Yet again, the Seer closed its eyes to ponder its words. Did, perhaps, even the Seer not know the full story of these fortunes? Or maybe the fortune teller knew it all, but could not give more. Either way, its voice held no emotion. "You have received your fortune. May Raiden smile upon you."

It was not too late. There was time for others to receive their fortunes, should they be brave enough to accept the good, or the bad.

After receiving the power of the rinnegan, Junko was constantly practicing and trying to get better. Getting use to having double everything was quite tiresome in some cases. Mostly when it came to hunger. One stomach full and the other empty was a feeling he wouldn't want to put anyone through. On the plus side, multitasking was great. Especially dealing with his kids.

Despite them not fully understanding that Junkos path was still Junko, things were great. He was able to go out and have fun with his family while also doing paper work in the office. This was tiring to the mind, but the results were worth it. Today, Junko was using his Path to take the kids out as he did a few surgery procedures. Word around the village, the ancient fortune teller was around, and he'd be telling people's fortunes. Some said he was a hoaxes while others somewhat praised him the individual.

Being a leader of a growing family, Junko had a lot on his plate. Not to mention the prodigy brothers demon meddling. Looking at the twins, he somewhat frowned. He put his children into the dangerous cycle involving the blood demons and now his burden fell upon their shoulders. Little did they know, they were already acquiring supernatural abilities such as abnormal strength, a strong sense of smell, and senses relating to blood. Part of Mazokus good entity was attached to their very being, making them two more individuals that can keep him trapped inside Junkos Katana.

Looking into their papa's eyes, they tilted their heads.

"What's wrong Papa number two?"

"Nothing." Junko said as they reached their destination. Looking at the tent, Junko wondered what would be their fortune. What truth or lies would this teller speak and what did he really know. Looking down at the twins, Junko smiled. "Similar to the lightning festival, this is something else that happens every so often. This is someone that can tell our future! Or so they say." Junko said with a nod.

"Can they really?"

"Only way to know is to talk to him and find out for ourselves." Junko said waiting with his kids.

There was a rumor floating around the village; that a mysterious fortune teller has shown up in the village. According to the people that were talking about them, they were pretty accurate. Even though Ri's never really believed that such a thing could possibly be true, what could go wrong? The worst thing that could happen is he gets a bad fortune told and he'd blow it off cause it's probably not going to happen. Best case though, he gets a good fortune and chooses to believe it simply because it was good. So he found himself approaching a small tent that had only a few people standing around it. Some of these people he knew, but decided not to talk to simply because he'd rather just get this over with and get back to the festival.

"The young scions of Tsuyoshi, and father. Welcome," the hooded and cloaked figure beckoned the family inside the tent and sat before the crystal ball, its eyes reflecting the swirling pattern in the ball. The seer's voice was soft and seemed to echo around the family despite the sound absorbing properties of the cloth domicile.

Again, the Seer of Cloud tensed her hands, and again, electricity coursed around and through the occupants. The figure's voice echoed once again, but muffled, so quiet that the three had to strain to hear it speak. As they tried to listen, the voice became clear, through strained and muffled, as if someone was shouting from some far off place.

The Seer locked eyes with the first of Junko's sons, and then slid to the second before speaking,

"Though friendship is magic, it's sometimes a curse, when the pressure of peers is strong,
You'll be urged to set sail, doing it without fail, even though you know it be wrong."

As the Seer stopped speaking, its voice seemed to develop a harsh accent, and a small but hearty chuckle escaped its lips, before falling completely silent as the figure regarded Junko.

"Alas for you, your paths are split.
I cannot divine a fragment, so for you, that is it."

The lightning shot back to the orb and the peaceful swirling pattern within it reappeared, the Seer remained seated motionless for a moment before standing and thanking them for their time. Gently, but firmly gesturing them to exit the tent, their meeting adjourned. "You have received your fortune. May Raiden smile upon you."

Shortly after the Tsuyoshi family left the tent, Rirakkusu found his way to the Seer's temporary dwelling. He saw the figure standing near the entrance of the tent, who gestured for him to enter. As he approached, it spoke, "Welcome, Shita Rirakkusu." The lightning sparked around the tent again, passing through Ri, but having no effect on him whatsoever.

"In the future, you'll gain some fame, for an act of immoral measure,
Your womanizing ways, and desire to laze, will attract an experienced treasure."

The voice of the Seer faded, seemingly sucked back into the orb along with the streaks and chains of lightning that had been dancing about the tent. Again, the Seer rose and bid the genin farewell as it had the others who had deemed it worth their time to partake of her services. "You have received your fortune. May Raiden smile upon you."

The end drew near, the Seer's power waning, but the day had not ended yet. Those eager for a glimpse into their future could still find what they sought. For now.

Late in the day, as the crowds were thinning and the hustle and bustle of the day's events neared an end, one last face would make an appearance in the Seer's tent. A pair of cloud grey eyes were covered in snow white hair entered through the tent's entrance. At first, they looked rather excited, hopeful, and passionate. However, upon entering the tent that fire quickly died out. Those eyes grew dark with disappointment. "Oh. My mistake. I could have sworn this was a different tent." His eyes trailing over the old bag of bones sitting before him, her silly trinkets and tomes nothing more than a joke to the young man. He placed no faith in such mysticism, and felt nothing more than disgust for a woman who misled all those people she made "predictions" for. A sadistic smile creeping over his lips, the young man chuckled a bit at this senile old hag. "Have fun with your leeches and potions." With this, the young man turned to leave the tent. He wasn't very fast about it though, and was more preoccupied with having a laugh at her expense.

The cool autumn air rustled through the leaves of the forest as Takeo made his way back to the prison he called home. The final rays of the sun were beginning to sink behind the mountains, coloring the sky a fiery-orange, like the dome of the heavens was on fire. The boy had spent most of the day in a glade where someone had set up a ring of wooden logs, apparently, for taijutsu practice. A small backpack filled with scrolls that depicted various taijutsu styles and moves hung from his shoulders, it’s straps digging into his worn grey hoodie. His gauntleted hands here tucked into his hoodie pockets, and the shins of his old, worn-out jeans were stained with blood where shallow pressure-cuts had broken his skin while he kicked at the pells. He was exhausted, and everything hurt. Though this wasn’t the kind of pain he was used to feeling. Usually he was in pain from burns, abrasions, or cuts caused by his uncle. Those injuries hurt his body, and filled his heart with rage. This pain, pain earned from hard work and sweat, pain that he chose to endure of his own free will, it was somehow uplifting. Each time his muscles ached, or the scabs on his knuckled broke and bled, he could feel himself becoming stronger.

As Takeo exited the foliage of the forest, he stumbled upon a tent. It was a plain, unassuming structure; but Takeo couldn’t help but be drawn inexplicably towards it. When he entered, he was met by the sight of a seer. They were wrapped in a cloak and had a kerchief drawn across their face, obscuring all but their eyes. Strange… the sight of those glowing eyes should’ve brought a feeling of unease and caution, but Takeo felt completely at peace. He stood at the entrance of the tent and awaited The Seer’s invitation to enter and sit.

Kasumi sighed as she walked towards the forest where the supposed 'seer' was supposed to be. She tugged her scarf closer to her neck as she felt the chill in the air. Her grandmother pushed her to go see the seer and unfortunately her father agreed as it was tradition that every young Akiyama on the journey of becoming a shinobi would follow Lord Raiden's footsteps.
She huffed remembering what her grandmother said 'who knows maybe we will find that there's still hope for you to find a husband'
While Kasumi followed the same tradition of honoring Lord Raiden she didn't really believe in this supernatural stuff, not that she would say, but it creeped her out and she thought that maybe there are somethings people should be ignorant to. She grumbled as she reached the tent, she didn't really want to do this but her grandmother had a sixth sense and she didn't really want to disappoint her father.
"Excuse me, seer lady. May I come in?" asked Kisame as she stood outside pulling at her scarf.
