It had been exam time for about a week now. Kitsune knew that Akane had been qualified for ages, heck, just about everyone already knew. Akane was practically already a mednin in every way but name. Well, it was time to change that. Sadly, Kitsune herself didn’t have the time required to do so due to sudden issues arising with her new province and she had to devote a lot of time to handling that. Kitsune also knew that Akane that the makings of a great mednin, so of course she’d want her to be given an exam. She… Just couldn’t really do it herself. So instead, Kitsune authorized Miyako to provide Akane with the exam she needed to become an actual mednin.
This would give the busty medical chief plenty time to sort out her business, she hoped, and at the very least, Akane would get the title she deserved. It wouldn’t be the first time Kitsune had delegated her tasks to someone else, and it most likely wouldn’t be the last either. As for what Kitsune had to do, well, it involved the construction efforts she had greenlit. Seems that some of the people nearby had been complaining about the noise, despite having been given plenty warning about it in advance. Now she had to figure out how to placate these people without halting the construction work. It shouldn’t be too hard with a few flashy moves that’d ingratiate them to her, like bumping their pay or something of the sort.
So off Miyako went, in search of Akane, wherever she might be this surprisingly fine day. Unlike most of the doctors on duty today, Miyako was dressed in a fairly classy white shirt/black vest combo, with black pants, and a mechanized glove on her left hand, and just for good measure, a lab coat thrown over her shoulders. After an afternoon of searching high and low throughout the hospital, Miyako remembered about the phone Kitsune had given her, and rolled her eyes. Oh duh. I can just page her. she reminded herself mentally while heading off to a room to prepare.
Half an hour and a dozen carts of materials later, she paged Akane to room 231 and waited. Inside was a corpse borrowed from the morgue that had been dressed up using various materials that weren’t critical to daily operations, as well as a lot of theatrical makeup to provide a macabre sight of someone that seemed to have been torn apart. Now it would be up to Akane-chan to see through the ruse, and then identify what actually killed the person in question.
