Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The boy's crimson gaze rested over the myriad of strange sights spread out before him, the bustling chaos of the marketplace of Suna. Sitting alone, his head resting on his knees as he squatted on the adobe roof of a nearby inn, he clasped his fingers together and started rocking back and forward.

His training had ensured that he did not share his true emotions except when around those he trusted, but now the poor 6 year old scion of the Myakashi was surrounded by strangers. Since coming to this awful place he had been required to clean out a hovel, fight hordes of giant rats, and even had been almost killed by the Kazekage himself - as well as his strange sister. It had been rather… exhausting indeed, but the boy had maintained his composure.

Even now he wanted to cry but he knew that he could not.

His stomach still hurt from the vicious flower shuriken that had pierced him, and the small cut still was easily visible under his eye. His father would have fumed if he had found out how he had received the cut… after all, Daiki was supposed to be protected here, and would have been even more livid after his ‘outing’ by the Kazekage’s sister. Daiki only hoped the other members of the class had no idea who the Myakashi were.

His eyes quickly picked up the form of a small girl, weaving expertly through the marketplace. She clearly knew how to not only move quickly, but quietly and how not to draw attention. She was a pickpocket for sure, and Daiki watched with interest as she plied her skills. She was good. Very good. Daiki saw her pocket at least 4 or 5 unsuspecting wallets with the skill of a dancer… or a shinobi. The fact that she hadn’t been seen yet probably meant that there were none of the normal shinobi police around, and she had taken advantage of their absence.

But overconfidence soon led to carelessness, as his old mentors used to say, and soon the girl's ability grew sloppy. She tried harder marks - people who seemed well aware of the pickpockets of this area and adjusted where they placed their purses accordingly. When she had first started she targeted the lazy and rich… marks which Daiki did not much care about, but now she seemed to be targeting a lady holding a baby.

Yeah… that was not good.

The girl was creeping up behind the unsuspecting mother, noting that she was using both hands to hold her squirming child in front of her. She was too far away for Daiki to scream out a warning, but he didnt feel like throwing a kunai at the young girl either. Hmm.

Summoning a small amount of chakra into his palm, he ‘threw’ what he thought would be a spark of fire - an ‘infernal ember’ justu - just behind the woman, in an attempt to startle the girl. He could feel the heat of the jutsu as it left his palm, a small bead of flame that would soon separate into small sparks.

Only, that is not what happened.

The bead of flame seemed to… writhe. Change. Become more… volatile and as it reached its intended destination, rather than splitting into three smaller embers it decided to explode. What had the intention of a distraction soon turned into an actual threat as both the girl and the woman were flung to the ground. Neither, and thank Jashin neither the child, seemed overly hurt, just in a measure of shock as an exploding thing had appeared right behind them.

Daiki stood up on the buildings roof, completely unsure as to what had just happened. He was scared… his chakra did that! Luckily no-one was hurt, but in any event he needed to get out of there quickly. He needed to find out exactly what was happening to him…
