Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

In an attempt to get his shinobi into fighting shape, Umashi had called upon Yuki, the wife of Uchiha Takeshi, to meet him at the Kitsune Park. Standing in the middle of the coliseum, Umashi was wearing his blackened ANBU gear and lion mask. If there was one thing that he could bet on, it was the fact that with a little practice and hard work that any shinobi could be made extremely useful on the battlefield. Since Takeshi wasn't around to exactly help in that department, Umashi figured that he'd help to shape up the ANBU branch in his absence like a good Hokage ought to. Testing out the fit of his gear, Umashi made a few punches into the air and then settled on the correct notch of things. The sooner Yuki showed up, the sooner that they could be on their merry way.

Thinking about the lesson that he had in store, the Hokage knew that with Yuki, there was the potential for great things. Her bloodline and other skill sets naturally afforded her a viciousness that was rarely seen in other build types without effort. Her's was one that came naturally, and if Umashi could capitalize and emphasize a few of her lacking areas then she'd find that in due time, she'd be an ANBU feared even abroad. The first thing that they'd work on would be her elemental mastery, Umashi had to see just how far below zero the woman could go. Takeshi wouldn't always be around to protect her and with Takeshi gone, there simply was far too much at risk with the amount of rogue Uchiha running around. She was the clan heads wife, and she ought to have the strength to reign in the rogue agents that were amiss.

Of all the things that Yuki was expecting to receive, a summon to the Hokage wasn’t on her list. When the retainer had brought it to her, her initial thought was what mess had Takeshi gotten himself into now. Whatever it was about she knew better than to keep the leader of the village waiting for long, she rushed to get herself ready dressing in her ANBU battle gear and placed her Noh mask over her face as she left the compound of the clan house and rushed to the meet point. The fact that it was in a public place and not Umashi’s office but her mind at ease a little but still the thought of a personal summons was still a little out of the ordinary.

The female made her way through the village ignoring the hustle and bustle of everyday life that was happening around her. Making her way to the entrance of the Kitsune Park the striking figure of a loin masked ANBU caught her attention, while she had never seen Umashi in his ANBU gear personally, she struggled to think of anyone that would wear such a regal mask other than the Hokage. Yuki approached the ANBU with caution still not sure what the nature of her summons was and knowing that he could quite easily crush her like a bug didn’t really build the woman confidence. She bowed respectfully before speaking.

“I can assure Lord Hokage whatever stupid thing that Takeshi has done. It was probably more than likely for a good reason.,” She winched a little under her mask, never happier to have something covering her face to hide her emotions.

Laughing, Umashi shook his head. It was amazing that the first thing out of the woman's mouth was concerning her husband. "I assure you Yuki, there's nothing concerning your husband that I wish to discuss today. In fact, the truth of the matter is that I'm very much here about you." Having felt the change in temperature when she'd approached, Umashi was glad to know that her prowess was at least of the sort that she could have her chakra register on a scale that was noticeable to those that were around her. Turning around to put some distance between the two of them, Umashi began to manipulate the chakra around himself. Pulling it towards him, he began to collect it store it in a tightly compacted form. His hands began to move quickly in a fashion like one kneading dough for bread.

Bright and shining, the chakra took the form of a small ball that began to give off an intense heat. Finally like the distance between the two of them, Umashi turned around and stood before Yuki with the chakra ball held at his side.
The fact of the matter Yuki, is that I need to test your abilities. What with Takeshi being gone as well as a decent amount of our better ANBU force, you're the next up in charge and as the Hokage, I need to make sure that you're able to carry out your duties to a degree that is deemed worthy of the title of ANBU Captain." As he spoke, the chakra ball began to pulsate in Umashi's hand and give up a very noticeable wave of heat. Flexing his hand, Umashi looked at ball and crushed it as the visible spectrum of chakra disappeared and suddenly the heat seemed to die out with it. Looking at Yuki, Umashi issued his challenge. "The first lesson is concerning your ability to react . . ." Without saying anything more, Umashi disappeared from view, and suddenly a large flaming ball of fire was flung in Yuki's direction.

Yuki breathed a small sigh of relief in knowing that, at least on this occasion, Takeshi hasn’t done anything to cause an international incident. Her posture relaxed a little but Umashi wanting her she found a little more disconcerting, it did make sense him wanting to test her abilities. With Takeshi being gone a lot of his responsibilities inside the ANBU had fallen on her shoulders and even Yuki wasn’t even sure she was entirely ready for it.

The female Shinobi watched as the Hokage turned he back to her and walked away, there was something about the male’s movements didn’t sit right with her, at first, she was inclined to believe he was simply walking away from the chill that surrounded her, however, something about the action caused Mizuke stir. She could feel him move and twist inside her as he began to awaken. In any other situation, the demon waking was something she was would just ignore. This time, she couldn’t ignore him he was biting at the back of her mind, gnawing at her for attention.

I don’t trust this man Mizuke voice whispered into Yuki consciousness, she closed her eyes trying to regain the paper-thin control she had over him, she heard Umashi speak but didn’t register the word as Mizuke had won the battle for her attention. Yuki move! His voice came through less than a whisper and move or a shout, she opened her eyes seeing a fireball heading towards her. Reaching to the moisture in the air she moved her fingers with speed sending a large shark made of water to meet it before rolling away out of the path of the inferno. She heard the water sizzle as it met the with the intense heat of the raging inferno, she got to her feet looking around for the Hokage, who in the chaos, had disappeared.

Walking through the steam created from their two attacks, Umashi looked from left to right. Giving the appearance of wanting to find Yuki, he quickly spied her but did his best to seem ignorant of where she truly was. "Lady Yuki, I'm surprised that you responded in the way that you did. Surely you came to do your best, and what is it that I receive? Mere aquatic tricks? You'll never be considered a capable ANBU Captain if you hold back against your enemies." Doing his best to scare Yuki, Umashi assumed a sickening smile and started to apply chakra to his right hand. As it began to glow like the color of heated metal, he began to wave it too and fro before him.

"Show me the real you, the one that seeks to inspire fear in her foes . . ." Stopping, Umashi raised his hand before him and snapped his fingers before turning around as a small flaming vortex swirled around him and condensed into a point on his fingertip, at which he seemingly blew it out and a wave of fire blew out around him, threatening to roast Yuki alive. Fully aware of abilities, Umashi was sure that Yuki could stand the heat, but before he could teach her the ways of unlocking higher levels of power, he needed her to approach this particular exercise with the same disposition as she might an unruly guest at the village gates, or an attack on her home. Hopefully if he continued to push, she might actually open up and then the real lessons could begin.

Yuki could see the male’s shadow through the mist stalking her like a cat, his lion mask had never seemed more fitting than it did in this moment. His words seemed to mock her or at least install fear in her, little did the Hokage know that Yuki had seen horrors far more frightening than the male knew. She could see his fist glowing through the cloud of steam, like hot lava. Heat emanated from them, she could feel it on her cold skin even though the distance between them at this point was considerable.

“If you think you can frighten me Umashi you are sorely mistaken, I have seen horrors that you couldn’t even imagine” She shouted through the mist, she could feel Mizuke unwind from inside her like a serpent rising up to attack its prey.

We should kill the foolish man, he means to kill you, my dear. We should simply strike first He whispered in her head his voice hissing like a viper inside her brain. Yuki could feel his chill beginning to reach through her veins and for once she embraced it. Umashi’s flames surrounded her burning with a heat so intense she swore she could feel her blood boil. Working on basic raw instinct she surrounded herself in her bloodline’s icy mirrors allowing Mizuke the time he needed to do his work. The female could feel him wrapping his scaly body around hers and she gave it voluntarily to him for the first time. The beast’s chakra burst out of her like a shockwave from a great explosion shattering her mirrors. Standing up, like it was the first time that she had done so, she staggered a little she grasp the mask from her face discarding in on the floor before locking her gaze at the Hokage, the green or her eyes replaced by a glowing amber, her hair fading to white, her elegant fingers replace by long vicious talons. “You want me to show you fear Hokage, I will show you something to be truly afraid of!” The Haku shouted her voice warped by Mizuki's added presence, letting out an inhuman howl Yuki send a ball of demonic energy towards Umashi

His eyes opening wide in excitement, Umashi was pleased to find that Yuki had finally decided to take the fight seriously. Speaking as she did about the horrors that she'd seen, Umashi shook his head. She hadn't seen the sort of terrors that he could inspire. In fact, Umashi was quite sure that Yuki wasn't capable of living through that sort of torment. While Umashi had expected Yuki to counter with a barrage of ice jutsu, what he didn't expect was the large orb of dark chakra to be hurled through the steam. Forced to react as he was, Umashi decided to get serious and raised his hand in defiance. Bracing himself for impact, he opened a large chakra gate attempted to absorb the chakra sphere into his own body. A technique that he didn't use often, the toll that it took on his body was rarely worth the effort that it took to keep from getting hit.

A master of all the basic elements, Umashi was in effect able to break down the very particles of chakra in the air and render most elemental jutsu void of their promised punch. When the attack hit him, Umashi was nearly thrown onto his back, but he grimaced and endured the backlash that was thrust upon his body. As his body tried to absorbed the energy, he skin darned more than normal as the dark chakra coursed through his body. With the technique being of a dark nature, Umashi found his thoughts scrambled and equally dark. However, what he hadn't counted on was the fact that his body couldn't handle the darkness of the attack itself. Taking on the full brunt of the attack, Umashi was thrown back against the wall of the Coliseum and cracked the wall. He hadn't expected her to pack such a punch but he wouldn't twice underestimate her. Making a hand seal, he applied chakra to his arm and began to rush the ANBU Captain.
"Let's see if you can dodge this!" Leaping high into the air, Umashi attempted to land with a flaming blow aimed directly at Yuki.

OOC: crap post is craptastic.

The Haku grinned a toothy grin as the ball of corrupted charka met it target, she was however surprised to watch the male deconstructing the attack, breaking down each individual particle of charka absorbing it into himself. The female could almost the see the effects of doing this already taking the effect on his body, even she was surprised what the power of the attack had on the Hokage.

See what you can accomplish when you don’t fight me Yuki The female had to admit even to herself this feeling is power was intoxicating.

It didn’t take long for Umashi to related, he focused his own charka into his arm turning it into a torrent of flames, the fire span around him like a cyclone engulfing the limb in it entirety. He launched himself into the air hurtling towards her, she could tell by the look on his face that he was no longer trying to provoke a response from her, he was trying to hit her. Yuki knew that she didn’t have the time to dodge the attack and was forced to think on her feet. Slicing her palm with her claw like nails she flicked the blood from the newly opened wound into the air above her, the blood harden almost immediately forming a barrier between herself and the Hokage hoping that the attack would be deflected. She said a silent prayer when it barrier held, she could feel the intensity of the fire that had snaked itself around his arm against her pale skin.

Once she had stopped the attack she pull on the other end of the shield deconstructing it, reforming it into a blade, she lurched forward her blade of blood aiming towards Umashi side. She wasn’t aiming to kill the Hokage, she wanted to wound him, make him hurt. Her thoughts had become dark and sadistic, with the help of her ally inside, with every second the line between them was becoming more blurred, she was struggling to think who was in charge.

She was good, especially good. While he fully expected her to try and use her ice controlling powers, what he wasn't prepared for was for her to instead bring up a barrier of blood. Meeting the blood with his fist, the sizzling smell of it almost made him want to vomit but he instead managed to recoil far enough away that he was out of danger, or so he thought. Instead what he soon found himself faced with was the prospect of a bloodied chakra dagger aimed right at him. With mere seconds to spare, he conjured up a black shadowy flame to protect him as it wrapped itself around the blade via a sticky chakra mess. As he looked down he could see that the blade had started to puncture his clothing and he breathed a sigh of relief. Maintaining control over the shadowed flames, Umashi spoke calmly despite his predicament.

"A previous Tsuchikage of Iwagakure was killed by a Haku much like yourself you know. Indeed, she was as wild and ruthless as they came." Nodding, Umashi smirked despite the heavy breathing that he realized that he was doing. Apparently a spar with Yuki was enough to make him sweat. "It is my hope that you'll be able to reign in the power that you have inside of yourself so that we can put it to good use. For now, I'll give your performance a decent grade, but I expect it to be better in the future." His eye's momentarily glowing red, he released the binds of the shadow chakra as Yuki's blade ran him through and he exploded into a harmless flame. Appearing a few yards away form the woman, he began to clap. "Bravo, it could have been worse, alas, there will be a next time!" Turning around to walk away, Umashi waved goodbye and went to clean himself up. It probably wouldn't bode well for him if he appeared in the hospital looking a bloody mess.

The Haku pushed against the flaming shield trying her hardest to penetrate it before the intense heat burning at her hand no stopping her from pushing against it, she listened to the males words about the Haku that killed the Tsuchikage, however, he words were not fully reaching her through MIzuke’s tightening grip on her consciousness. The burning heat that covered her hand reached its pinnacle before the resistance that she had been faced with disappeared the blood in her hand vanished losing her footing Yuki lurched forward falling over. Standing the searched around for Umashi, he was standing a few yards in front of her, he dismissed her and walked away.

Waiting until the Hokage had left not wanting to show him any weakness Yuki fell to her knees as she fought against Mizuke the internal struggle sending ripples of pain through her head as he screamed in her mind in protest.
“I don’t need you anymore” Yuki growled to herself, her consciousness fighting again the snake-like grip that he had now gotten a hold of.

You are nothing without me, you saw what my power could do now just let me have you! He screamed into the mind. Releasing her demon was the easy part, gaining herself back from him wasn’t quite so easy.

“No, you won’t” His words giving her the last push of defiance that she needed she managed to push his back to the corner of her mind. She could still hear him screaming from where he was but it was no longer something that gave her headache. Exhausted both mentally and physically Yuki lay there for a few moments motionlessly on the sand of the Colosseum before gathering her strength to get back to her feet and walk away.
