Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Character's Physical Description: Standing at a slight 5’2, Hazumi is a relatively small girl. Her build is slim and lithe, and she weighs a little less than 100 pounds. Much of her face is hidden behind a navy-colored cloth mask, and what little would otherwise be visible is concealed by her hair, which has been cut at an angle to cover the left side of her face leaving only her right eye visible. Hazumi prefers simple, practical clothes, often wearing a loose-fitting kimono in varying shades of blue over darker underclothes, along with a pair of standard shinobi sandals. She cares little for accessories, and only wears what appears to be a simple flower in her hair.

Character's Mental Description: Hazumi is best described as a lone wolf. She has formed very few personal relationships throughout her life, and her interactions with others are usually guided by sheer practicality. She sees friendships and romantic entanglements as vulnerabilities that are easily exploited, and strives to keep herself disconnected from those around her. As a result, Hazumi comes across as cold and somewhat selfish to most, though she cares little for the moral judgements of others. Nonetheless, she does have her own ‘code of honor’, however nebulous it might be. She refuses to leave debts, both personal and practical, unpaid. She simply calls it ‘good business’.

Character History: 14 years ago, Hazumi was born in the village of Tsukigakure to Nejime Nadeshiko; a rogue kunoichi of Kirigakure who had deserted the village after she was implicated in the attempted assassination of a prominent businessman. Hazumi was only days old when her mother, hoping to give her daughter a better life, gave her up to a small orphanage hidden away in the heart of the city. Unfortunately, the girl was raised in the overcrowded home by a series of apathetic and negligent caretakers, and she spent much of her childhood roaming the streets, picking pockets and stealing food to survive.

Hazumi hated the impoverished existence she was forced to endure, and the girl struggled to make a better life for herself beyond the slums even as a child. She often stole scrolls and artifacts from vendors and collectors throughout the city, and sold them off on the island’s thriving black market for a profit. Her ‘business’ proved to be surprisingly lucrative, and it became increasingly difficult to avoid the notice of the island’s authorities. Rather than risk earning the ire of the Shrine, Hazumi decided to leave Tsukigakure shortly after her 13th birthday and set out for the mainland.

Throughout her travels on the continent, Hazumi cultivated a reputation as an infamous thief, seemingly able to steal anything for the right right price. Ultimately, her efforts caught the eye of an organization known as the Shijinju after she unwittingly took on a contract that pitted her against them. Despite the interference of the mercenaries, Hazumi was able to successfully complete the assignment and escape the team that had been sent to guard her target. The Shijinju were impressed with her abilities, and rather than immediately seeking reprisal for the embarrassment they had suffered at her hands, they offered Hazumi a place within their ranks.

Although she was disinclined to work for anyone, Hazumi realized that she had little choice but to accept their offer if she wanted to survive, having understood the veiled threat hidden in the invitation. Hazumi was reluctantly inducted into the Shijinju a little less than 2 months after her 14th birthday and was placed under the command of Genbu, one of the four leaders of the organization. Genbu had no interest in putting her out in the field immediately much to her chagrin, and instead began personally teaching the girl the shinobi arts. While she initially resisted his efforts, Hazumi began taking her training seriously after she was shown just how much of a gap existed between herself and even the lowest member of the Shijinju in a straight fight.

Under Genbu’s tutelage, Hazumi honed the skills she had learned on the streets of Tsukigakure and learned the basic elements of Nin, Gen, and Taijutsu. She held a particular affinity for hand-to-hand combat, and it soon became obvious that her natural agility and ability to remain undetected in situations which others would be hard-pressed to remain hidden were in fact latent manifestations of her Seikon bloodline. While the Shijinju possessed little to no information about the clan and it’s abilities, her powers proved to be largely instinctual. With time and experimentation, Hazumi managed to master many diverse skills, ranging from creating energy weapons to teleportation.

Once she could hold her own against the rank-and-file members of the organization and Genbu was satisfied with her prowess, Hazumi actively began taking on assignments. The ability to use chakra and her mastery of the powers granted by her bloodline allowed the girl to complete tasks that would have been beyond her reach in the past, and she came to appreciate the benefits of being a member of the Shijinju despite the rocky circumstances surrounding her induction.
