Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Jin wandered towards the Colosseum, the smell of blood, steel and some faint burnt corpses somehow mixed with the refreshing air of Kumogakure. Just the right atmosphere needed whenever someone feels like punching a stranger or something. That bloodlust that you simply have to control in order not to get arrested in such place. Jin entered the darkened halls before showing up in the open amphitheater, the sun's light blazing against him as watched the empty place. He stood there for a moment, relieving his memories as his imagination went wild, epic fights or trainings occurred in this very place. His eyes stared at the open space as faint images of shinobis fought each other, exchanging blows until one surrendered. A grin appeared in his face as he looked up in the seats, not a living soul was found.

He gave a brief sigh but he didn't wish to waste the time traveling towards the Vespasian Colosseum, he slowly turned as he walked towards the stairs leading to the bleachers. Thousands of empty seats laid before him but he simply sat near the entrance to wait for any curious fighters to enter the area, perhaps it would be fun if he gets to challenge someone to kill the time. Anyone would be fine, although the joy of not knowing who'll enter is simply increasing his thrill. Although, if it were a child - even if he or she was a shinobi, he do know that he'll have to tone down one way or another. He gave another sigh at the sight of the idea before slouching in his seat.

"Now the waiting game begins..." He thought in his head.

Days off from the Academy were rare these days. Most of the time he would be too tired after teaching his classes to want to do much more than stay at home, read a book, and eat a small dinner before going to bed. The days where he got to go and do whatever he wanted were precious to the man. On this particular occasion, Koro thought it would be a good idea to do a little training. He hadn't had time to do as much of that as he would have liked, so perhaps it was time that he got down to business? He wanted to test himself today, to make sure that his skills were as sharp as when...well, he just wanted to stay active. Burn some fat, and all that.

Korotsuki walked with a calm and thoughtful manner as he strode down the road towards the Colosseum. He figured that he might be able to run into someone whom he could have a friendly spar with. The place was full of brawlers and fighters who merely wished to test themselves—wait, did that make him just another fighter today? He hoped so. Walking through the large archways, the coliseum's grand entrance gave way to a rather open arena. It seemed, at first, that nobody was here. It didn't take long for Koro to realize that this was not the case today. In the stands was another figure, who seemed to have been sitting there for a while already. The white haired man sized him up, looking him up and down. "What's your story, guy? You didn't just come here for the architecture, did you?" They say that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. While that may be true, it's also the most fun. Koro knew exactly what this guy was here for: a fight. He was happy to oblige this man. Cracking his hands and neck, Koro called out to the man once more. "You wanna take the lead on this one, buddy?" Koro's body was loose. He was prepared to fight. He was happy that he had a day off today.

The masked AiT silently took his strides through the Colosseum, wondering what he could do for fun. He wanted to do something new besides his normal clay, he needed some inspiration for grander pieces of art! He looked to his brown gloves, so no one would know he was a Toujigeku on sight, for they were really revealing. He looked at other ninja, and was rather interested at this place. Hmm, the Colosseum, here he would be able to fight some others, or watch the battle himself. The prior interested him the most, so that is what his hunt must involve to satisfy his curiosity. Chikyu saw a man exiting the main hall ways to the grand arena, to which he desired to follow, but stopped himself. Was he ready to try a battle? He was only recently promoted to AiT, and no body knew him yet from his private lessons, but it had to do. No, he wouldn't do it before scoping out the battle first. He walked to the stairs, and from there to the seats of the domed structure before watching. He tapped his mask twice, before two tiny spikes came out of the sides of the mask, barely a inch long together. Chikyu placed his palms there, where he used his tongues to pilot the glove to the blade, and gave the certification of entry. They fit into the small holes put into there, where the tongues used small bits of chakra to pop open the gloves lids, but keep them on. He put his hands away, spectating the entrance.

Chikyu blinked his emerald eyes, his special dojutsu acting like glasses. He lifted up two fingers, praying to his 6 gods before he leaped to the battlefield. When he landed, the hardened earth under him little reaction to him. Chikyu lifted his hands up to his collar, stretching it back to proper place as his eyes looked to the two ninja. He was to interested to wait any longer, he desired to know what people described as the thrill of battle, the enjoyment of carnage and slaughter. He hoped no one would die, but an exhaustive battle would be highly entertaining to him. He yelled the two shinobi, "Mind if I join into this spectacle? My curiosity has reached its limits." He stood in a triangle to the other two, as he smiled. He is not that strong compared to the top class shinobi, but he could do something!

{OOC: Hoping to have a fun time with this battle with you guys!}

Jin gave a smirk as he heard footsteps coming closer to the entrance, might be a coincidence or not, but from the looks of it, he wasn't going to wait that long after all. He calmly waited for the person to enter his sights, hoping that it wasn't the janitor or some weird maintenance guy doing their daily rounds. The moment the stranger stepped into the open field, Jin laid his head back into the seat as he waited for a moment for the guy to notice his presence, closing his eyes as he remembered the man's white hair. Then the a voice ringed towards him, opening his eyes and made him stare at the guy, asking him the obvious. Jin simply smiled before standing up from his seat. Nobody else was there anyway aside from the two of them for now.

"Surely did not, although you gotta say, the architecture is a rather fine masterpiece despite the events that took place." Jin replied to the man as he walked towards him. The sense of bloodlust filled the air but that didn't stop him from moving at all. He had a smile despite the upcoming situation but the least he would like is to start the fight respectfully - despite the fact that would be his first time since punching people straight in the face didn't exactly worked out in a sparring match.

As Jin raised his hand towards the stranger, another presence was felt - a young one, like the one he met in the market the other day. This boy had beautiful emerald eyes, sparkling as the sun brightly shined on them. The boy was full of energy for that remark but as well as secretive and what not, bearing an intricate mask to cover his little face just like Jin did whenever he feels like it. "Sure, although I'm only here to train - my name is Jin." He introduced himself as he continued to stretch his hand out towards the man, a welcoming handshake, to start the fight.

If he did accepted the handshake, Jin would do the same to the young boy, afterward - then that's the start of the battle.

[If either you guys accept the Handshake, you guys may Role-Play being affected by the Genjutsu linked. Have fun guys!]

A slight chuckle escaped the man's lips at his opponent's remarks. Architecture? He'd been joking with his comment, but honestly it didn't matter much. The man seemed to be making his way down out of the stands, so at least the two of them would surely be able to have a match started soon. Koro was ready. However, he was not ready for the appearance of yet another person. He seemed to have come from behind him, entering through the same hallway that he had. Did he follow him? Koro wished to know how this person—this child—thought that he could walk into this situation and just insert himself into this battle. Heh, well, whatever. Before Koro was given a chance to respond to the newcomer, the man whom he was set to fight introduced himself and, at the same time, permitted the entrance of the younger fellow. Jin was his name, huh? Noted. Koro was a little unsure as to this child's abilities, and what he wanted to accomplish by getting involved in a fight between adults, but he supposed that if things got too bad he could simply withdraw to avoid any issues. Still, this kid didn't even look too much older than some of the students he taught over at the academy. "So be it. A free-for-all of sorts, is it? Winner takes all?" There wasn't really anything to 'win'—unless you count glory and pride. Still, making it into a contest always seems to make things more fun.

Koro was about to get into a battle-ready position when he noticed that Jin had extended his hand to give him a handshake. A benign gesture, and certainly one of respect and mutual accordance. Koro couldn't say he was the political type, but still. A smile on his lips, Koro moved to extend his hand to greet the other man's. Well, that was until he got close enough to grab it. You see, the thing with Genjutsu is that, in order to perform it, one must direct their chakra in a very particular way in order to disrupt and manipulate the chakra of your opponent. Did this man think that Koro wouldn't be able to detect something so rudimentary? Did he think the training of an ANBU was a joke? Before their hands could connect, a thick stream of iron sand flew out of the man's coat sleeve and attempted to completely cover Jin's hand with the stuff. He was trying to immobilize the man. "Sorry buddy, that one's not going to work on me." Well then, while close up wasn't quite Koro's style, he had to admit that this was a perfect striking point. Out of his left sleeve came more iron sand, quickly forming itself into a shape of a pointed spear. Grasping it with his left hand, Koro quickly brought the weapon down towards this man. He was hoping to get a clean first strike in before the battle began, as that would help him out tremendously. And with one hand, hopefully, captured, it shouldn't be too hard to land a strike on him.

Still, what the heck was the other guy going to do?

The ground under Chikyu rumbled and roared violently, the ground splitting and ripping apart around him. He laughed to the air, adrenaline taking his body and senses over. He had enough self-control to know when to stop, but he let himself go in the middle to make sure he never let a major opening open. The ground exploded under him, as a colossal 40 foot tall purple monstrosity sent its three heads gazing towards them. He rapidly made hand signs, clay flying and splattering like paint. He smiled, as from the purple worm-thing came a copy of Chikyu. Both of them blinked, creating 22 Ceramic Terrorisms! They both twirled around each other and screamed, "If the earth rejects you, let heaven consume you!" The clay bombs flew into the air like arcing missiles, and then zoomed forward! In each a large bomb was resting, that was highly likely to sprain a muscle if it hit, but all the bombs grew legs! They were going to try to latch onto them, and if they did pain was guaranteed to exceed expected parameters. Chikyu counted his time, for his art was about to bring pain! He slowly took in a large breath, then yelled to his foes, "Lets hope everyone survives! I don't want anyone to be hurt TO bad from this!" The baron of purple leaped like a dolphin, tunneling through the ground and ripping the battlefield apart as Chikyu and his clone looked like the ground was moving them.

(My attacks are meant to be large scale and flashy, do with that as you will XD)

As he raised his hand towards the man, a differently colored sand shot out from his sleeves in an attempt to grab him, he closed his eyes as felt the first grain of sand at the tip of his finger, it wasn't ordinary fragments of fossils and bones but instead fine grains of iron. A grim smile came across his face as the battle started, his decisive action of placing his foes in an illusion failed, but he'll have more opportunities at least. Letting the iron engulf his arm, he could feel like his entire arm was stuck in an iron pipe, cold and constricting. Lucky for him that he wasn't born with a single arm. He gathered his chakra into his right hand, he quickly he opened his eyes, six copies of himself appeared behind the man who rudely didn't introduced himself at the start of the battle.

A skilled one can tell that the copies are in fact - more than mere illusions or balloons made of chakra, from their own actions - the six copies were about to launch an assault against the man who held him in a tightly in close proximity. Just an advantage for him in all honestly, his left hand launched forward as his fingers all pointed towards the man like a spear, his eyes watching as the man formed an iron spear and attempted to stab him - allowing the iron spear to stab him in his shoulder, hopefully his own strike would pierce the man.

"No pain, no gain - right?" He smiled. On the other hand, things weren't looking good as the ground started shaking, a purple beast-like creature appeared in the battlefield and seems to be the work of the little kid. He could see that the beast was filled with chakra and other that that - he could see small chakra residues in the air but it was closing into both of them at great speed, they were no mere chakra residue but it was something else, just like the giant purple creature the kid had called - he could see that they all had the same pattern. "Not bad kid!" He yelled at the kid as he started to shake his left hand loose of the iron sand. Letting the pain of the iron spear pierce his shoulder, hopefully the man doesn't have much tricks left since he practically allowed him to stab him in exchange of another blow.

Once free, he would jump away from Korotsuki and lay his eyes on the kid who was ruining the battlefield. Forming a set of handseals, he took a few good drops of his own blood before painting the ground around him with his blood. The ground would start to shake as a large red wooden gate started to break from the ground. Everyone knows what would happen next once the gates open.

"Thank you! NOW LETS SEE EVERYTHING BURN!" Chikyu and his clone made their hand seals constantly, Chikyu flung two bombs out, filled to the brim with nalpalm, detonated them above his foes heads, raining down the sticky inferno! His clone kept on doing the weird dance of clay, flinging clay birds into the air that turned into lances, exploding around his foes. The Cascading force of the sky was nothing compared to what Chikyu was preparing. The Baron shot Chikyu on a tendril that flew around the giant crimson gates towards his foes. He smiled, as the two stuck fighters were going to be his prey. He lifted his arms like in a symphony, as around the two became a inferno. p/url] He rode the tendril back, as the flames should keep him safe from the strange gates, but if it wasn't, Chikyu had just enough time for his final act. [Url=http://www.ninpocho.com/viewtopic.php?p=1074#p1074] He raised up a single hand, as a sphere of wind moved around him, trying to block and reflect all ninjutsu. He laughed as the shattered earth was getting softer and softer as the Baron circled around the arena, the Baron noticeably getting faster. The massive tendril stretched back, placing Chikyu on the head of the baron once more as he lifted up his hands in a "peace" formation. He laughed as flame and wind would aide him, as his clone kept on dancing in flame and clay. Ta flipping dah.

Koro had fought many people. Strong people. Weak people. Smart people. Lazy people. Inventive people. He'd faced many opponents in his days, and he'd seen all different kinds of styles. Still, in all of his years of combat, there were very few times in which he met fighters as reckless, carefree, and wild as these two. Oh yes, he did manage to pierce this Jin guy—it hadn't been an overly difficult task. The iron pole pierced the man's flesh, exactly how Koro had expected. What he didn't expect, though, was this guy's commitment to this battle. This guy was some sort of crazy, because he had just let Koro attack him on purpose. He let the weapon pierce him, and proceeded to unleash a flurry of attacks that, quite frankly, caught Korotsuki off guard. The gallery of clones all attempted to strike at the man from behind, while the main man Jin would utilize a Taijutsu that seemed to mimic the piercing nature of a spear. Koro could only react so fast. Streams of sand whipped up behind him, trying to block the majority of the clones. Well, he managed to get a few, but a good three hits still landed pretty hard on the man's back. He tried to block the man's spear-like assault, but...well, a slow trickle of blood began to well out of a newly formed puncture in the man's chest. A one-for-one blow, and then some huh? "Damn, I didn't expect you to be such a reckless character. I've got to admit, you got me good..."

There was another problem looming on the horizon, though. The other man, the one who had appeared after he had. There seemed to be another issue that needed to be dealt with rather quickly. It seemed this kid had a kekkei genkai, one that Koro had heard about only in his books. After this battle, he'd love to get a closer look at the supposed hand-mouths that sculpted these living explosions. At the moment, though, he didn't have time to admire the man's abilities—his volatile creations were on their way right now. Koro had to act, and act now. Dislodging his sand from Jin's hand, Koro knew when it was time to make a tactile retreat. The sand focused around the man's feet, quickly forming a small platform just wide enough to stand on. His boots made contact with the metal circle, immediately clicking into place by magnetism. It was necessary, because otherwise the upward thrust with which he launched himself away from the ground would have knocked him off of his platform. His acceleration slowing a bit as he made it into the air, safe from the cacophony of fire and explosions below. Man, this guy was going to be troublesome. "I can't just not do anything about this, now can I?"

Raising his arms, so as to manipulate his control over a wider area, Koro would turn this battlefield into something that would make their lives much, much more difficult. The earth around them began to break apart, crumble, or otherwise deteriorate into what could only be described as a miniature desert. He would use this to his advantage, in both defense and offense. For instance, he could use the sand to, say, make a wave of sand which would sweep over the fire, the debris, and all of the chaos below. He intended to disperse everything, to put all of their little strategies into disarray. A sharp wince went through his body, though. That hit he'd taken earlier was hurting. He'd need to be careful, lest he open up the wound and risk further injury. He would maintain his distance, fighting from a long-range while he prepared himself for the next stage of this fight.

[ OOC Notes: Guys, I'm so sorry this took forever and a half to write up. I feel very embarrassed, as I'm normally not this slow. Things should be good now activity wise, so expect posts much sooner. ]

The moment Korotsuki released his grasp from him, he could only give a smirk as his plan went along just well. The kid was seemingly enjoying himself with his own creation, even without looking - he was already capable of tracking the kid through his own little chakra alongside his little creations that was wandering around the battlefield. "I would say that kid more reckless that I am." He shouted towards Korotsuki as an ornate red roof raised from the ground, he made his way and stood as the gate continued to ascend until one could see a large gate out of the battlefield. The kid wasn't the only one capable of summoning but his technique was more of a traumatizer. Korotsuki then proceeded to gain some distance between them after the exchange of attacks. He could only hold his shoulder as the blood started to seep between his fingers. The man raised his hand as the ground beneath them started to crumble, turning to what it looks like - sand. Knowing the man could control sand made of iron, looks like he just turned the battlefield into his advantage but he wasn't going to lose just yet.

As the two large black wooden doors slowly crept open, one could see large bony fingers itching to get out, struggling and impatiently waiting for the doors to open. He raised his left hand with his palm open, showing seemingly nothing to the other two. But as he lowered his finger one by one, it was obviously he was counting down. As the last finger fell into a fist, a smile came to his face as a ghastly wail erupted from the gates, feeling the battlefield with the sound of the dead and soon afterward, the doors erupted open as multitude of bony hands made its way towards Korotsuki and Chikyu in attempt to grab and crush them. Skeletal yet each and every one of the skeletal hands were very much alive, engulfed in a malevolent chakra that corroded everything that was nearby. Several other hands formed a makeshift roof above Jinouga, protecting him from raining inferno that the kid started.

He sat down on the ornate red roof, watching as the skeletal hands started their assault on his foes.

Chikyu had enough, he tried to escape the battle, the massive beast under him exploding to let him leap over the Colosseum walls, and his clone becoming a parachute to let him float to the ground, as he ran.

And just like that, the kid left. Koro couldn't say he'd expected that one, though it did make some sort of poetic sense. The kid came and left as fast, and as violently, as the explosions he wielded. Oh well. That meant he had only one enemy left to face. This Jin character, and his variously assorted genjutsu. Koro knew his style by now, and had already determined that he used a sort of visual genjutsu cue. Be it his hands, his touch, or maybe even his voice, this character sought to enrapture Koro with his vicious lullabies. He wouldn't have any of that. It really was quite simple, honestly, in order to avoid such offenses. First, you must keep yourself safe from any method that could possibly transmit a genjutsu: touch, sight, and sound are the three most common ones. Koro was already far out of reach, so touch wasn't an option. He'd yet to see the man perform an audible genjutsu, so he discredited that option as unlikely.

That meant just sight remained. Chuckling, he knew that wouldn't be too much of an issue. Gathering some of his iron sand into his fist, he molded the writhing mass of sand into a perfectly round, smooth ball. He carved out a pupil, and an iris, and soon he had himself a makeshift eye. He poured his chakra into it, and soon it might as well have been one of his own. He released the ball, controlling its movements with the same magnetic forces he controlled all of his sand. This eye let him see below, without the risk of getting hit with a genjutsu. The man was well prepared now, and would not be letting this 'Jin' fellow get the better of him. He had his pride as an ex-ANBU to uphold, after all!

The flurry of attacks came fast, leaving Koro with little time to react. While he had just turned the battlefield into sand, the skeletal arms that shot out after him were much too fast to stop with a material as sluggish as sand. In all actuality, Koro didn't really have a good plan as to how to evade these things. He could try to dodge them? Perhaps not. He could block them, but with what? Koro was at a bit of a loss, to be honest. Still, he would not be defeated! "Do you think this will stop me?! Just you try it!" It was time for a ballsy move. Desperate times and all that, right? Koro tilted the metallic disk he was standing on, so much so that he was upside down. He could see the hands closing in. He had to wait until they were right on him.

Closer...closer...just a little more...

A grin stretched across his face—it was go time. The man released a huge surge of opposite attraction against the metal platform, instantly launching the man down towards the ground at an alarming rate. His plan was to completely dodge the hands, giving them no time to react to his sudden actions. As he soared down, the metal platform dematerialized back into the sand particles it was originally formed from. They raced to catch up with the falling Korotsuki, but his acceleration was only growing. As he reached the ground, he weaved a few handseals. Instantly a tendril of sand came up to meet him, slowing his descent towards the ground. He didn't stop completely, though. The man slipped into the earth, disappearing underneath the sand and soil. He had vanished, without so much as a trace. And so, a question. "How do you fight what you can't see, eh?"

"The answer? You can't..." It also didn't help that Koro was going to use this opportunity to escape completely. He'd had enough of this whole shebang, and so he would leave Jin, waiting and wondering when Koro's attack would come. Little did he know, it never would. He was gone, traveling beneath the sand and soil.
