Finally after what had been a long and somewhat eventful day for the dearest descendant of Byakko, the group of juveniles seemed to be ready to take off on their mission and exam to prove to themselves and to their sensei that they were truly ready to be graduates of the Academy and were honestly ready to be shinobi. Still, there was obviously some worry emulating from him sending them on a mission of this caliber since he himself had no true knowledge of the group that they were going to scout and hoping interrogate. But if they all came back unscathed, he would look like a genius; if he came back with injured or dead students, he would probably be put into a holding cell for a little while to think about his actions and probably be demoted for an idiotic move. But, let's not jump ahead too far since everyone is still alive and kicking at the very least.
He was however still waiting for them to reappear from the entryway of the Toraono Dojo so they could actually begin their little adventure. By now, it was around noontime and his stomach was growling due to no lunch so he was snacking on some rice-ball looking thing while he waited for them. It wasn't the best piece of food that he ever consumed, but it was cheap and it gave a reasonable amount of energy that he would need. Considering the amount of food that Kichiru had purchased with his funds, they wouldn't be starving anytime soon, but he was hoping that they would at least want to try to hunt some game like boar since boar was absolutely delicious and rare to get since the village did not approve of killing them unless they were being a threat or so he thought. Regardless, they would be fine either way since Kyuji had come prepared for anything that would try to strike them with his gloves, his gun, and his sword all nicely sheathed under his shroud.
He would continue to eat his rice-ball as he waited reflecting on his life as he often did while he was alone. Things had certainly been getting more difficult for him in general in the Academy and the Medical Branch. Then, there was also his family where his wife and him had been struggling to communicate or see each other since he had been doing two full-time jobs to help the village since it appeared that both areas needed his superior expertise. Of course, that made things very difficult for raising a family as well since he rarely saw his kids as well as his wife so he had not even seen them grow up hardly at all. The last time that he and his son had actually talked face-to-face was months ago and here he was now about to go on his first mission and begin his Genin Exam...they grew up far too fast and he had been a terrible father so maybe he could make it up on this mission.
He continued to wait hoping they didn't get lost or decided to turn down the mission/exam since they weren't ready. It was just a waiting game for now, it appeared at least.
