Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Spectating this: https://www.ninpocho.com/viewtopic.php?f=752&t=54292

With permission from the original 2 posters, Ritsuko & Yuki & the people joining, Umashi & Kenshin.

A family picnic in the Forest of Death was going smoothly, that is, until they all saw the flare go up. Besito, with his ears perked, Asuka with that cold dead expression, and Yomi all looked up at the sky in confusion. A collective sigh had occurred, and from the looks of things, it came from the direction of the gates, because, why would it not? The Phoenix Gates, where all trouble usually stemmed from, like her husband’s disappearance for example.

She knew her Main Branch and ANBU, collectively, were more than capable of doing their job, and flares were very few and far between. So, what, pray tell, was happening that required such a signal and not a headset call? Climbing on top of Besito, Yomi bid Asuka adieu, and raced forward to find out what was happening. Perhaps, Umashi had returned? No, nope. He would have just appeared before her, like he always did to announce his return. This was clearly something different.

She arrived at the gates to a peculiar scene. Hopping off Besito, she landed lightly at the top of the gates. Mirrors of ice were scattered about and, was that Ritsuko standing there? There was only one Haku she knew of that was strong enough to do this.

Suddenly a migraine started to form as she recognized the cloak of a Jinchu, around Ritsuko. The Haku too, was a Jinchu...this was not going to be pretty. Pressing her headset, she called in the Barrier Corp to contain this situation. She would not have a repeat incident of the last Sennin offices and Academy.

"Unbelievable." Yomi said to herself as she watched the scene unfold with Besito's head peaking over the gates watching along.

Yomi's headset went off as the Barrier Corp radioed in, saying they were getting into position. "Quickly, we have two Jinchu's here. The situation can go left any second." Her tone was even and calm, even if the situation should have caused her to tense up. Stress was not good for the kids, or at least, if Tamashii were here, that;s what he'd say. Her ANBU captain Was still within those Ice Mirrors, and Ritsuko, the Academy Student, seemed to go into stealth. From her vantage point, she could actually see poor Ritsuko trying to get away. There was something seriously wrong here, but, it was too dangerous for Yomi in her present state if Ritsuko was currently unstable. She would have to wait until she was subdued before she could venture closer.

Besito whined at Yomi as he too looked at Ritsuko running.

"I know Besos, it'll be alright." Do not let his size fool you, when he was home and not bearing his teeth, he was nothing but a big fluffy puppy, with her at least. Like Yomi, he did not like to see harm come to little girls, mostly by her training. For the Hokage, It was a sad day when she would see a little girl feel like she had to leave in order to receive help. Like there was no one to turn too. The village was welcoming, even to people who weren't originally from here, so she wondered what was going through Young Ritsuko's mind. Was she in a dark place, like Kaori was when Yomi met her? With time, they all were able to get past at least one of their dark chapters. She understood if Ritsuko was in the middle of such an event and couldn't see any light in front of her or behind her. Despite the situation, she almost felt sorry for her.

Almost.

Save for Takeshi, she didn't know any of her ANBU to act in a rash manner, so was the Haku provoked? Did Ritsuko attack first? They were fighting at the gates which was not usual for two kunoichi of the same village. She had so many questions, but for now, she would continue to watch the events unfold. Just then the barrier had went up, encasing the whole entire expanse from directly outside of the gate, to as far as her eye could see in front of her, and to her left and right.

With a burst of speed Yomi watched as Kenshin charged into battle, no doubt in response to the signal flare that the Haku had released. The Barrier corp, prepared for new arrivals, took measures to ensure those that wanted to enter, could. Kenshin, her brick wall, was going to turn this whole rather calm battle on its head. She didn't know what was going to happen, but, she believed the Shinobi of Konoha had the the wherewithal to keep in mind that Ritsuko was just an Academy Student. In stellar fashion, Kenshin barreled attacks at Ritsuko to stop her from escaping. The field was blanketed in what could only be described as crimson, snow, no doubt the doing of her ANBU Captain. While her shinobi, even down to the Academy Students, were spectacular to watch, nothing prepared her for what happened next.

The sky cracked open, a burst of flames slipped through the barrier. No, it was more accurate to say that it phased through it, leaving it undisturbed. A cloaked figure had entered the battle, in the embrace of the flame. Yomi tapped her headset, unsure of what this new participant was, or what it was going to do. In the interest of keeping the threat to a minimum she issued another order.

"No bogies leaves this barrier. I need it strengthened now!" The Barrier division would do their best to comply. Giving the order, she knew that if this mysterious figure got in, he would probably be able to get out. Yet, as they say, nothing beats a fail but a try.

Besito was intently watching the battle, almost like he was studying it. He was a battle wolf , and his level of understanding battle mechanics could stand up to any shinobi of note. It almost broke her heart to keep him out of a good fight, but, their relationship had grown to the point where he no longer was blood thirsty, as long as she wasn't and as long as she was okay.

But something stirred him.

He barked at the barrier. Not a low, "let me keep my voice down" bark, but a booming bark he only gave to grab someones attention or taunt an enemy. He began to pace with his tail wagging this way and that, slightly frenzied. The Hokage gave her pup a questioning glance.

"Besos, what?" The furry beast looked at Yomi, and barked some more. Moving closer to her he began to whine, and sniff at her stomach, before looking back at the battle and then back at her.

"It's alright big guy. Tell me, what do you see?"

He was clearly too excited for her to gather the gist of what he was trying to communicate to her. She would stroke his fur to ease him, but, it proved not enough to calm him. He put his paws on the gate as if he were going to jump over it, but like all trained animals, he would not. Plus, there was a barrier preventing him doing just that. So as Besito had done before, when he helplessly watched Umashi get pulled into the darkness on her birthday, he began to howl.

[ooc: Yomi does not realize that Besito knows its Umashi.]

Pressing her headset, Yomi ordered for the barrier to be let down. It was clear that, the cloaked individual was not here to cause trouble, with the way Kenshin interacted with him. Ritsuko was knocked out and the Haku looked upset. It was time for her to go forth and find out how this shit show started.

Patting her pup she gathered the chakra in her feet and slowly walked down the side of the gate.
