Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was nearing night now, and a heavy silence filled the air, oppressive and heavy. While many sounds tried to fill it, the chirp of birds, the low din of people walking and talking, the sluggish refused to yield for long. Atop the roofs, comfortably drowning in the silence, was the son and heir of the Rengō. It wasn’t particularly difficult to get to this roof, the walls of the building were crumbling, leaving hand and foot holds practically begging to be used. He hadn’t climbed the wall for the sake of climbing of course, he had come here to admire the treasure he had found, scavenging around the ruined keep of his family.

Held in both hands, was the iconic cabasset of the Rengō, tall and elegantly sloping into a fine point, with a narrow and tapering brim with simple scrollwork along the top. Turning over the simple steel helmet, he pondered if he should put it on, the owner was long gone by now, likely dead even. It was his birthright, yet he was beginning to doubt himself, the very reason he had come here. Brushing his fingers along the brim, he placed the helmet tenderly on the ground, resigned to simply dwell on the thought. No doubt he’d make his mind up soon, for now he would simply think on the issue.

Not very lady-like to be scrambling about on rooftops.” The red-headed child joked dryly, his voice seemed off, even muffled by the collar he had tied flat over his nose, it sounded hoarse and on the verge of breaking. Had he been crying? He picked up the helmet he ran a finger over the helical brim and scrollwork once again, it was said that the knotted patterns served as some sort of hidden language, and each helmet told the history of its owners. He didn’t know if it was true, but given the fact the helmet he held was covered in knots, it must have been very old indeed.

Could I ask you a question? You were raised in this village right?” He asked suddenly, turning towards her, eyes red and and lids moist. “Did they ever tell you much about the Rengō? About the men and women who wore these helmets?” He doubted she did, they were almost unpersons these days, almost everyone he asked either refused to mention them, claimed ignorance, or chased him off. Still, she might of heard snippets of them.
