[Taking place at the same time as A change of will.]
-Past-
The white-haired rogue gave a grin as he hefted up a new radio. He had split away from Kiramaru for a few moments to ‘borrow’ some supplies from the abandoned stores. It wasn’t like his new office was going to decorate itself and some music is always nice. Riku’s grin faded with a brief sigh as his headset blew to life. On the other end, the Hokage had apparently made it fitting to contact every shinobi because Kenshin did a bad. The rogue had to give a smirk, and he thought he was looking for attention. The boy turned to leave with his new radio before suddenly a new voice came over the headset, a voice he didn’t recognise. Had someone just figured out the general frequency? The rogue had a new goal to do, however before he could consider such a feat, the actual message begun.
“Oh hell …” Riku muttered, a grin creeping on his face.
The boy dropped the radio to the ground with a loud clatter, abandoning it as he leaped over a table to the recorders. With a quick removal of his headset, he begun the recorder and let it catch the message. After it finished, the boy returned the headset to his ear before switching over to a different frequency, the one he’d asked the others at the treehouse to go to.
“Cuts, Buzz,” Riku said over the headset, assuming they probably heard the message aswell, “Meet me at the oak district. The radio station. We got work to do.”
-Present-
It was only a small jog from where he was, however the rogue had taken the opportunity to sprint. With a gasp for air, the white-haired Riku walked up to the radio stations door, giving a quick gaze to the small tower above before unceremoniously kicking the door down. While he despised shinobi in most regards, he had to admit, they were surprisingly good at fitness training. The invading child looked around for the equipment, glad that the place was already evacuated. The rogue began running between the scattered equipment, trying to plug in various pieces that he had little experience in.
“Cmon, cmon.” Riku muttered, giving a short tempered sigh as he worked.
When he inevitably heard the broken door creak again, he wouldn’t take the time to look behind himself, only giving a half wave.
“We don’t got time,” Riku explained, “Help me plug in the equipment. We’re gonna help send a message.”
