Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Find my Cat
wC303TN.png
"There you are~" Kaori said as she cornered the red and black cat in an alleyway. She raised her hands up to the level of her eyes in a grabby motion as the cat stuck it's tongue out towards her. "C'mon, little fluffy kitty. You know you want to go home to your little mean goblin of a girl. She won't hurt you," she said in a taunting manner. All the while, the cat started to back up, bumping into a wall. Seeing this as a time to strike, Kaori lunged in to grab the cat, only for the feline to wait for the last moment, jump on Kaori's head and use her cranium as a spring-board to get itself up the wall.

Mimicking the words of Sennin Hakuren, "Bitch!" she shouted out. She started to run up the tall wall with a light blue hue appearing below her feet. She stepped on the wall, magically pushing herself up the wall until she scaled it. She stood on top of the wall and watched the cat run around through the buildings. With a deep breath in, she took a step back and jumped off of the wall in pursuit of the cat. She climbed up many walls throughout the city only for the feline to completely outsmart her. After about a half hour of running around, Kaori stopped and placed her hands upon her knees to catch her breath.

"Why are cats so agile?" she asked herself. The reason was plainly obvious, to avoid predators like herself. If she was going to kill the cat to eat, this would be a different story. Simply hide, shoot the cat in the chest and be done with it. However, capturing something alive was MUCH more difficult. As Kaori was catching her breath, she had lost track of the cat. "My first solo mission and I'm probably going to fail. Don't think bad of me, Mina, I'm trying," she said as if pleading with the dead to not curse her.

As she was pleading to Mina, she noticed the cat walk into her line of sight. The cat turned it's head to the side, wiggled it's tail to display the ribbon upon it for a moment. It was mocking Kaori. The animal's taunt only made her angry. Channeling her inner Hakuren, she shouted out. "Bitch!" Her mouth is quite vulgar when she runs out of patience. Pulling herself together, she started to run towards the cat only to turn into another alley. In this alley, she found a large number of strays; about 13 to be specific.

Out of the 13, there were 4 cats that matched the description of the little fluffball she was supposed to get, each having ribbons of different colors tied to their tails. She looked at the cats for a moment, trying to remember the color of the ribbon. If she remembered the color of the ribbon, she'd remember which one was the real cat. Red, blue, white, and black. Those were the colors of the ribbons. While she was trying to discern which cat was the real one, she was being surrounded by other scraggly cats, as if being bullied out of the alley. Her heart started to race as the cats grew closer and closer. She knew that if she let them get too close, she's going to have a bad day.

Her first instinct was to look for the one with the red ribbon, but there was something a LITTLE off about this. The mission description DID say that it wore a red ribbon, but something about it's looks were a bit off. She looked around at the other cats until the one with the black ribbon stuck it's tongue out. "There you are!" she shouted out and lunged forward towards the cat with the black ribbon only for it to run away. She started to chase the cat through the alleyway, running on the walls to avoid the cat scratches only for the cat to disappear once again. "Crap!" she stamped her feet in annoyance.

At this point, Kaori declared the cat long-gone, finding a nice shady tree to sit under and take a rest. She sighed and leaned back upon the tree and looked upwards with her eyes closed. After a brief moment, she noticed the cat she was chasing after was sleeping in a branch on the tree. She made as little noise as she could and applied chakra to her hands and feet and crawled her way up the tree and onto the branch that the cat was sleeping upon. With a quick lunge, she grabbed the cat and held it firmly. "There you are! Time to return you to your owners!"

About 10 minutes later...
Kaori walked back with the cat in tow, fighting with it as it struggled to get free, only to eventually make her way back to the owner's house. Without needing to knock on the door, the young girl, just a few years younger than she was, ran out and hugged Kaori and then took the cat out of her hands. "Oh! Thank you! I missed Fluffy Buttz. He tried playing 'Find the Real Me' again didn't he?" she asked as she looked down at the cat now in her possession. The cat stuck it's tongue out at the girl and she hugged him to bits, causing the cat to squeal in agony. Kaori laughed a bit uncomfortably and nodded her head.

The little girl ran back inside her house only to be met with the client, an elderly woman. She smiled and patted Kaori on the top of the head. "Consider this 'Mission Complete' there, little ninja, tee-hee," the elderly lady said before turning around and walking inside. Kaori threw a hand into the air in victory. "Yes! Finished my first solo mission!"

Fight the Boss Cat [SSM]

Fight the Boss Cat
wC303TN.png
It had only been about a week since her last mission to find the client's granddaughter's cat. During that mission, she encountered the Cat Gang with the Boss Cat missing. Perhaps the underlings told the Boss Cat about Kaori's endeavors and take their frustrations out on the village. They were nabbing food from houses, rummaging through the garbage (making all kinds of a mess), and even harassing other human beings. In a word, these cats were being a 'Menace' to society. It was Kaori's job to end this menace and bring the village back to a state of normalcy.

Probably the hardest part of defeating the Boss Cat was to find the Boss Cat. She couldn't just walk through any of the alleys to find them. If it was simply that easy, this mission could be done by the animal control specialists in the village. She had to utilize what little she learned as a sprouting shinobi to track down the Boss Cat, encounter him, and defeat him. During this process, Kaori asked around to where the hideouts of cats might be; asking adults and children alike for any information that they had. Everything lead to several dens within derelict alleyways with the usual rabble; none that appeared to be the Boss Cat.

She asked several of the Cat Dens only to get bullied out of the den. This happened for several of the dens until she came across an alleyway near the Hokage Mansion. Upon entering the alleyway, she was met up by 3 larger cats, all meowing in unison. The obvious rage and frustration could be heard in their voice. She stopped upon seeing these cats, turning her eyes towards the end of the alleyway where a much larger cat wearing a replica hokage hat could be seen sitting comfortably beside a pile of fish. Bingo! The Boss Cat was found.

A single meow could be heard from the Boss Cat, or rather, the Nekokage. After the single meow from the Nekokage, the three guard cats moved to the side, allowing Kaori entrance and an audience with the Nekokage. She walked cautiously along the gauntlet of cats only to come to a stop several paces away from the leader of the cats. From behind the pile of fish, a small and malnourished boy appeared. He translated everything that the Nekokage had to say.

"The Nekokage said that you were the one that stole away his most prized shinobi: Catfish. Catfish was an up-and-coming star of Nekogakure and you whisked him away, becoming a missing cat ninja. Nekokage said that you also crippled the fighting force against the pitiful humans," the boy said before the nekokage nodded sagely towards the child.

Everything Kaori just heard seemed to be quite preposterous and a little far-fetched. The cats attempting to take over Konoha? "My apologies, dear Nekokage. I was just doing a job that was given to me to return a cat to their owner."

A loud and indignant meow came from the Nekokage, silencing even Kaori. The boy shook and turned to look back towards Kaori. "Silence! That is why we cats are attempting a rebellion. We are cats, a higher life-form, yet you humans have enslaved us since time began. For your transgressions of calling us lesser beings, you will be put down," the boy said before diving below the fish. Almost on queue, Kaori sighed and put on her gloves. The cats dove upon her and with a single swipe of her left hand, a blue flame appeared, repelling the cats, smashing them into the wall knocking them out. She did this a couple more times to the minions leaving only the Nekokage and Kaori.

Another indignant meow could be heard from the Nekokage before the boy dove out from behind the pile of fish and ran away. "You're crazy if you think I'm going to fight a shinobi! I'm just a normal human!" he said before tearing out of the alleyway. Sucking air between his teeth, the Nekokage turned and looked towards Kaori, removed it's kage hat and a strange power started to envelope the Nekokage, as if it was molding chakra. An immense pressure could be felt by Kaori as the cat started to power up. The cat grew 3 times bigger in mass and the look of anger and rage could be seen. An impressive display of intimidation.

Kaori watched this, tilted her head and reached into her pocket. As she did this, the raging cat jumped out towards her in time for Kaori to pull out a little bobbing cat toy. The rage instantly went away as the cat started to paw at the toy. She wiggled it up and down. ~Damn you, human! Knowing our weakness!~ the cat meant to say. While the cat was pawing at the toy, Kaori powered up one of her fists and smacked the cat upside the head,
knocking it out cold. She let out a sigh before putting the toy away and carried the Boss Cat away.

She found herself at the Animal Control center and handed the unconscious cat over. "They called him the Nekokage and he wanted to take over the village." she explained. With that, the Nekokage was put behind bars. The Animal Control smiled and thanked Kaori before she went off.

Several hours later...
The Nekokage woke up, finding himself behind bars with other cats. He sucked air in between his teeth and looked at the other cats and dogs held in the same cage. With a quick transition of their eye colors, the Sharingan was activated and those that were in the cage started to obey the Nekokage's every order. ~One day, we will get out, Kaori of the Humans. When that happens, you will rue the day!!!~ he meant to say but was replaced with a loud meow. The other cats followed with a loud meow and even the dogs followed up with a howl.

The Cat Burglar

The Cat Burglar
wC303TN.png
The sewers of all places was where this cat-burglar decided to make their hide-out; fantastic. Kaori had wads of tissue stuck up both of her nostrils, a pair of rubber gloves and rubber boots, and even a skin-tight bodysuit underneath her usual attire specifically for this job as she was forced to wade through the most disgusting muck based upon a lead given to her buy her client Mitamasu Kina. The foul liquid that she waded through felt warm and even the foul smell started to bleed through the tissues that were meant to clog her nose. She'd rather have been given some form of gas-mask than suffer through this bare-faced.

As she made her way through the sewers, she found herself at a crossroads. The line she was following dumped into an atrium which split off into 4 more directions as well as fell straight down. Without knowing which way to actually go, she stopped for a moment to listen. A faint sound could be heard in the background. The sound was barely audible, but it carried throughout each branch of this hellish labyrinth.
The song was enough to drive anyone insane due to it's repetitious rhythm and the lack of actual verses could drive anyone mad. If she only came through this mission with a set of earplugs, that would've been fantastic. However, due to not having worn any earplugs, she discerned which direction to go and that direction was downwards. She didn't stay too close to the edge that dumped downwards because she didn't want to get swept away by the sludge waterfall: she stayed back a slight bit to discern this information. With a slow and deliberate movement, she walked towards the edge to see a ladder that went all the way up to the top level and it also went all the way down to the bottom level.

The ladder was the better alternative than to take the 5-path sludge waterfall downwards. She took a deep breath in and got on the ladder, eventually making her way down before the landing pool. As luck would have it, there was a small cat-walk just above the landing-pool. She dropped down upon the cat-walk and walked along the single path. The song got louder and louder the further in she got. She continued down one of the veins until she noticed another opening. She stopped before entering the atrium to notice massive shadows of cats dancing. A moment later, everything came to a halt; the dancing, the cheering, and even the obnoxious singing.

"Booooss!" one of the cats said in a Bostonian accent as a group of cats surrounded a much fatter cat carrying a sack over his shoulders. All of the shadows were seen by Kaori, given her a caricature of what was happening. Some food was pulled out of the sack before she noticed a statuette being pulled out. She narrowed her eyes for a moment and though for a moment. It was a statue of a dragon. She stole from Kaori's place.

Without hesitating, Kaori jumped out of hiding and pointed at the Cat Burglar. "You stole that from my Shrine! Give it back!"

The cats turned and looked towards Kaori before hiding the statuette to keep it out of Kaori's view. "No. You see, we stole it fair and square."

"I'm giving you one last warning, return that to me and return all of your other things or I'm going to whoop your asses!" she said,
almost genuinely upset. She discovered a couple of new words so she decided to use them in this context, thinking that'd make her look cool. The Fat Cat Burglar pointed at Kaori and urged his minions towards Kaori. Quickly she activated her Ryuugan and her hands caught on fire in blue flame before smacking the 2 cats with a single thrust each, flinging them into a wall and knocked them out.

The Cat Burglar looked stunned and began to high-tail it out of there only for Kaori to quickly run up to the cat and punch it in the back of the head,
instantly knocking it out. She de-activated the fire in her hands and the Ryuugan and slapped her hands together. "Well, that was easy."

She looked around for a way to keep them bound. There wasn't any ropes or chains but there WAS a big box. However, as she inspected the area,
she saw a bunch of trinkets lining the walls of the sewer. She was amazed at how much stuff they managed to pilfer. Breaking out of her awe, she went to the box and opened it. It was an ornate metal box big enough for only one. The one she was asked to retrieve. The two minions caught a lucky break this time. Kaori walked over to the Cat Burglar, grabbed it by the scruff, and threw it into the box. She looked down at the cat burglar for a moment and said. "Looks like the Cat isn't out of the box."
After trapping the cat in the box, and locking it from the outside, she looked up for a way to get out and for the other ninja to come in to help with the extraction of the stuff. She looked around for a way for the cat to have gotten out only to look upwards, finding a sewer lid at the top of the shaft.
She cleared her throat and started to jump from wall-to-wall, failing a couple times only to finally make it on the 4th attempt, sticking to the ceiling where the sewer lid was and opened it, escaping from the nasty smelling, muck covered underground. With this, she went to inform the client that the job was done, but needed help pulling the things out and to arrest the cat burglar.

She escorted the arresting authority as well as a couple of strong ninja to where the cache was, finding the two minions have fled and that the Cat burglar remained unconscious in the box. With the cat burglar out of the way, the shinobi started to take the stuff back up to the surface. Kaori grabbed the dragon statuette herself, claiming it was her's and took it up to the surface and back to the shrine. She'll pick up her reward later.

Re: The Kidnapper

The Kidnapper
wC303TN.png
First stuff goes missing and now little girls. Kaori sighed, running her fingers through her lavender-colored hair expecting the cats to be involved in this. She was getting a little bored of the cats trying to get their revenge on Kaori for returning one of their own to their owner. Kaori found herself at a house, the scene of a crime. She was in the Oak District where a civilian family lived with the mother and father crying, speaking to an investigator. While the couple spoke with the investigator, Kaori walked upstairs towards the little girl's room to see the window shattered and a struggle happen. Something of this magnitude was certainly not done by the cats. They were more stealthy than this and used a lot more finesse than brute force.

She looked over the crime scene a bit more to discern what could have happened. Something about this seemed strange. Clearing her throat and closing her eyes, she opened them up to activate the Ryuugan. She saw footsteps of a fully grown man glowing as it appeared to have had the man jump down from the window sill, scuffle about along the floor and even on the bed. She approach the broken glass and looked out the window to see there were glowing spots all over the wall and then outside with long strides. From what Kaori gathered, the man or woman was waiting for the right time, clinging to the wall of the house before breaking in, struggling with the child and then jumped out the window and began running.

Kaori opened the window and jumped out to land exactly where the man landed and started to follow his tracks. She followed the steps until it lead to a man-hole cover. She de-activated her Ryuugan and sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose. She had to enter the sewers for yet another mission. Why couldn't bad-guys find a new place to hide out instead of the sewers? There had to have been better places for them to hide. Maybe an unmarked building or a restaurant as a front, but the sewers? Clearing her throat, she lifted the man-hole cover and delved into the sewer system yet again.

She was quite familiar with these sewer systems since tracking down the cat-burglar. She instinctively made her way towards the Cat Burglar's hideout only to find nothing. All of the stuff that the Cat Burglar had stolen had been cleared out by the village shinobi and returned to their proper place. There was one place, however, that she didn't check. There was an exhaust route for the water to go. Clearing her throat and swallowing hard, she took a deep breath in and dove into the exhaust pipe, flowing with the sewage until she landed into the final pool below where she discovered something disturbing.

The sound of Kaori's splashing caught the attention of those in the cages, having all of them flock towards Kaori. The various voices whispered "Help us.
We're going to be sold," rung out from the girls before a distant sound of laughter could be heard. The girl nearest to Kaori whispered to her, "Hide or they'll get you too," she said before all of the girls returned to their usual state of depression. It was hard for them to maintain that facade when Kaori appeared to be hope that they yearned for.

Every cage held a single girl, each girl being between the ages of 8 and 13 years. Some were sitting in these cages for quite some time with evidence of self defecation due to their imprisonment in these cages. The girls also seemed malnourished and dehydrated due to lack of care from their captives. Kaori hid somewhere that most of the girls wouldn't notice before standing by to listen to the exchange of the men that appeared in the room.

"Yes, we have some high quality goods here. Please, take a look around," one of the men said. He had bandages around his hands with fresh blood spilling out of them. He must've been the one to kidnap the girls and now he's talking to a potential buyer. The man then pulled out a small leather book and began to write something inside of the book. The person that the man was talking to started to look around at the young girls. He had a scar over his left eye and a red bandanna across his throat. He looked over the young girls and pointed out one of them. This girl seemed quite well-fed with tears staining her cheeks. She must've been the newest girl to have been brought here.

"Excellent choice! I'm sure the Crimson Knights would appreciate her company. She is 12 years old from a rich family. As you can tell, she has flawless skin and even some well developed features for someone her age," said the man selling the girl. The man with the bandanna handed over a bag of money and there was a shake of the hands. He quickly logged this exchange inside of the leather-bound book before reaching into his pockets to pull out a large key-ring.

It was at this moment that Kaori stepped in silently and performed a Dynamic Entry straight into the Crimson Knight representative's head, causing his face to smash into the cage that held the young girl that was just kidnapped, knocking him out. The man landed face-first into the sewage water. This caused the kidnapper to turn around towards Kaori and with lightning-fast movement, pull out a revolver and pointed it at Kaori. "Whoa there! It's not every day that girls just walk in here, ASKING to become slaves. This makes my job a lot easier!" the man howled in laughter before taking a shot at Kaori. Kaori quickly dodges out of the way before appearing behind him and performed handseals before slapping the man. A strange thing happened as the man dropped the gun and started to hug himself.

His face turned a bright red and he started to pant heavily. He turned around to look at Kaori with an Mmmmm look on his face. This caused Kaori to recoil a bit before re-activating the Ryuugan and started to punch the man furiously. The more and more she punched the man, the more he moaned. Kaori almost didn't want to touch the guy now, deciding to kick him in the groin only for a more intense reaction to be given by the man as he fell upon his face, straight into the sewage. She needed to get the keys from the strangely simulated man, but in order to do that, she needed to fish out the keys. With a look of hesitation in her face, she leaned in towards the man and put her hand into his pocket and fished out the keys before anything weird can happen and held up the keys. "It's time to go home!" she said as she held the keys up in the air.

Moments later, the main forces arrived to arrest the kidnapper and the buyer from the Crimson Knight. The man was stood up, with the color returning to his face, as Kaori looked him over briefly. She turned her face to look towards the arresting ANBU. "He has a leather-bound book where he tracks transactions. Maybe he also has the locations of the other girls in that book. We could probably get them back. Nobody should be sold to be someone's play-thing," she said, projecting how she felt (in a different way) about how she is treated by her mother and the rest of her family. Being a puppet of her mother's ambition for power was something she became aware of; a revelation into the workings of the Shrine. The fact that people support her mother was astonishing.

The girls were freed from their prisons and all crowded around Kaori, hugging her and showering their thanks upon the girl only for them to disperse, leaving room for the target of this mission. She walked up to Kaori and gave her a big, warm hug. "Thanks. You interfered at the right time. If I had been sold and carted off, my life would have changed. Thank you," the girl said before Kaori grabbed her by the hand. "I'm bringing you with me. I'll escort you to your family, myself," she said with a reassuring smile, only for a smile to be returned to her in kind.

Several moments later, Kaori and the young girl appeared from an open man-hole to see the parents of the lost child. She simply smiled at the family before walking out of the hole only for the girl to pop her head up. Before she was able to climb out, the girl's parents clung on to their child and pulled her out of the hole. She was showered with hugs and kisses with welcome-homes. Kaori saw the love from this family and yearned for a life like that.
She didn't try to let sadness be written on her face, so she turned around. She wanted a loving home where she was treated like a human (and not like a tool) where she could be cherished as a child without having to experience hardships. But that was her lot in life and something she is slowly coming to accept. She never had a childhood and was glad that at least someone was able to lead a normal childhood. Certainly, this girl would be traumatized by this event, but that's a small price to pay for freedom. At least she will be able to cope with being with a loving family.

A voice called out to Kaori, causing her to turn around. "How about having dinner with us as our way of thanking you?" the father of the child said.
Kaori shook her head with a little smile upon her face, turned back around and walked away from the scene. No, the family needed time to themselves and an outsider like her wasn't necessary there.

Hell in the Cell

Hell in the Cell
wC303TN.png
Kaori couldn't get the image of the Crimson Knight out of her head. The man was willing to buy a young, freshly kidnapped girl to use at their own whims. The thought of something like this was absolutely deplorable. After the intelligence team interrogated the Crimson Knight, all they got from him was the pick-up point for the Crimson Knight and the captive they were supposed to return with. In this mission, Kaori is to play the role of the captive while she was teamed up with an ANBU, playing the role of the Crimson Knight. Their objective is to return to the Crimson Knight base and gather intelligence on the location of the base, how many were at the base, and their level of strength. This wasn't a mission based around brute strength, but one of cunning and guile.

Kaori is seen wearing rags for clothing and a shackle worn loosely around her throat. She is barefoot with dirt thrown upon her to give her the appearance of a kidnapped slave. The shackle worn around her neck wasn't actually locked and with a quick flick, she could easily free herself when the time came. While it could still be opened with a key, it had a trick to opening it up without needing to go through that charade. Her horns would be exposed for this mission, which would make her seem like a much more fitting catch. Through a lot of debate with the ANBU, she had to settle with this as the best means of carrying it out.

The ANBU with her, codenamed: Locust, smacked the cage and looked at Kaori. The ANBU nodded to her and gave her a thumbs up to assure her that everything will be alright. The cage was loaded onto a cart pulled by horses with a tarp pulled over it to conceal the contents within. The ANBU had a transformation jutsu up to look just like the man they took into custody as they drove the horse-drawn carriage. As the carriage started to move, Kaori felt uneasy being stuck under a covered cage, not being able to really see what's going on. Anxiety started to fill the young girl as she closed her eyes and started to chant words of encouragement quietly to herself. She knew this was a mission and if things went smoothly, she would be fine, but she's still a 10 year old girl acting under the facade of a purchased slave for a group of wild men. Of course there would be some internal discourse happening within her mind.

The cart came to a stop outside of the village, within the forest as a few words were exchanged with the driver, Locust, before the tarp was pulled up only for a torch and a ratty looking face to look at her. The ratty face stared her up and down before lowering the tarp and mentioning things about her body, causing Kaori to instinctively reach for her chest out of annoyance. Returning to her facade, she lowered her hands down where they were and returned to looking confused and scared. Words from Locust mentioned her horns before the men rushed over and opened up the tarp to get a good look at her. Their eyes lit up before lowering the veil, mentioning something about 'handlebars'. This genuinely had Kaori confused. Oh to be so naive.

The horse continued through the woods, taking several winding paths to confuse the person inside of the cage, so they had little to no bearing in the event they were able to communicate with the outside world to come get them. Thankfully, what they don't know is that the driver, Locust, knew exactly how to get to the location thanks to not being disoriented and able to see their surroundings. It was then that the horse came to a stop in a new location and the tarp opened up and a man walked into the cage, placing a bag over Kaori's head before exiting and locking the cage again.

The cage, itself, began to move into the structure. Where were they? Were they entering a building or a cave? Were they above ground or below ground? The accoustics gave away that it was cavernous, but all other details were quite unknown. Sound of water dropping could be heard echoing off of every wall for a mile. Everyone's voices reverberated throughout the entire cave, making secrecy very hard to come by. "Don't bother crying out for help, girl. We'll call you, Monaka from now on. Crying out will do nothing for you, Monaka. We can hear EVERYTHING that happens in this place. So if you make noise to escape, we'll hear it. If you snore, we will hear it. If you f--- Well, everyone will hear if you are told to do that," the man said with a laugh. "Hell, we'd all might join in!"

"Ew," Kaori simply responded. This caused some of the guys to look between one another and laugh hysterically. The single word was enough to bring them to their knees in laughter. It was then that one of the men walked up to her and clobbered her in the face, knocking her out. It was at that point where Locust would have to do their job and do a big portion of the surveillance. After a few hours, Kaori woke up to find herself in a group of cages tied together, each with the doors pointed towards the center of the room creating aisles. She looked around to notice a group of girls staring at Kaori and her horns. "Hey, are you okay, new girl?" one of the girls asked.

With blurred eyes, Kaori rubbed her eyes and got a good look at where she was at. She was in a room with about 20 other girls locked up in similar kennel-sized cages. Each time a girl shuffled, it sounded like chains clanging against each other. Kaori started a head-count, taking an accurate head-count of the girls here and tried to accurately remember their appearances. "Hey, you alright?" one of the girls asked, waving a hand on the side of her cage to catch Kaori's peripheral vision. This caused Kaori to turn towards the waving after she finished the counting and memorization. She just smiled at the girl and nodded.

"Don't worry about your voice, this place was padded as noise proof because well, that time of the month can cause quite a bit of noise, you know? And they got a bit fed up with it," the girl beside her said confidently.

"Alright then. Well, yes, I'm doing just fine. Just taking in everything is all," Kaori responded before looking around once again, now surveying the area for a way out. "Um, what are you doing?" the girl beside her asked.

"Looking for a way out of this cesspool," she responded to the slave girl.

"Well, are you gonna take us with you then?" the other girl asked.

"No, I can't. But I will send help, I assure you," she said as she looked around to find an air vent she could use. She could also use this vent as a means of traveling around and looking through all of the rooms. With a quick snap of the shackles, she was set free and taped to the back of the shackle was a headset. She sneaked the little thing into her ear and started to talk. "I'm in, Locust."

==//Good. I have everything I need. Did you get all the information you needed for the slaves?\\==

==//Yeah, there are 23 in here ranging from 8 to 17 years old. They can't mold chakra. At least they are being fed well\\== she said as she looked over all of the girls. A look of hope started to sparkle in their eyes a bit.

==//Okay, stay put. We're going to go with Plan B. Plan A is too hot\\== Locust stated. In order for Plan B to be implemented, there needed to be alcohol involved. Kaori groaned a bit and sat and waited.

The girls looked over to Kaori and she just responded with a smile and a peace sign. "You guys are going to have to not know what we're doing okay? if they catch on that this was a ruse, they'll move everything, including you guys and we can't send in a second party to come rescue you, so," she said before pressing a finger up to her lips and made a gentle shhh sound.

Several hours later, Kaori was starting to nod off only for the door to the room to slam open and a member of the Crimson Knights walked in and made his way towards Kaori's cage. Kaori moved to the back of the cage and shook her head. She was actually quite frightened now and she shook her head. The man started to bang on Kaori's cage before opening it up. The man reeked of alcohol and a grin came across his face as the gate swung open. He made grabby hands while reaching for her only for Locust to grab the man by the shoulder and pulled him off. "I'm going to make her mine! You didn't fall in love with her like I did!" Locust said before reaching in to grab Kaori.

Locust whispered to Kaori. "Now we are going to get out of here. Play along," Locust said before throwing her over his shoulder. She kicked and punched, trying to resist only for Locust to kick the other Crimson Knight in the face only to be encountered by a few more coming in through the door. "What are you doing!? You know it's first come first serve during happy hour! Put her down now or suffer the consequences!" one of the Crimson Knights said before Locust ran through the group and knocked them all out with a single strike to each of them. With that, Locust and Kaori began their escape.

Running through the forest, remembering exactly where the base was and the layout of the dungeon, the two flew through the trees only to come to a stop within a tree. He quickly put together a few handseals causing the two of them to go invisible. As they sat invisible in the trees, a small band ran through the forest upon the ground, stopping directly under their tree. "Damnit! Takuro was going to do that eventually! We should've killed him when we had the chance! Where'd they go!?" they said as they looked around and continued in the opposite direction that they were going.

Clearing his throat, Locust started his way back to the village, sliding in through the gate. The Gate Guard on duty was also part of the mission so they allowed them in. They made a mad dash away from the gates only for the land crew that was chasing them to come across the gates, only to be stopped by the Gate Guard. "Did you see a squirrely looking man with a little girl in his arms?" the man asked before the Gate Guard shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. "Nobody's been through the gates in hours, mate." With a grumble, they looked around for a moment. "Find Takuro and kill that traitor!" they said before they ran off in a huff away from the village.

Several moments later, Kaori was redressed into her usual attire standing with Locust in their ANBU attire in front of an ANBU Captain's desk, beginning to debrief the Captain of what was seen. There was a scribe taking down the entire report and with a shake of the hand, Kaori was released. "What you did supported the world. We will be taking down the Crimson Knights and will be returning the girls back to their homes. You sure you don't want to join the Corps?" the Captain finally asked.

"No thanks, Captain. I think I'll be a better fit as a medic. I'd rather save lives than take them after all," she said as the Captain shrugged his shoulders. "Well, alright. But you have potential. Anyway, thanks for your work now please get out."

At the animal control center...
"Nya!" said the boss cat that Kaori had imprisoned before. The fat cat looked at another creature, a mouse that was stuck in the cage with them. The boss cat 'encouraged' the mouse to participate and cooperate if he knew what was good for him. Without much of a reason to resist, he nodded his head only for the Boss Cat's eyes to turn red. "Nya! You're going to go get the keys from the guard and bust us out, see," the cat said in a mafia-like manner. "Nya! And if you do, I'll ensure you get paid with enough cheese to satisfy you for life, see. I have have revenge to take now that I've amassed me an army, Nya!" the cat said as the other animals: dogs, cats, large rodents and other domesticated animals. The animals looked at their feline overlord and stated. "All hail, Cat Daddy!"

"Shut up!" one of the guards said, only hearing loud meows and barks coming from the creatures. As directed, this caused them to silence. "Nya! Now go, see! Freedom waits for no one!" Shaking like a leaf in the wind, the mouse saluted the cat and ran out. As the mouse ran out of the cell, the one named 'Cat Daddy' gets a giant grin across his face. "Nya! Now it's time for revenge, little shinobi. Nya!!!!!"

Meanwhile, at the Kanjo Apartments...
Kaori had been filled in by the family, with the young child in question Kanjo Goro present, that Goro would be heard sneaking out in the middle of the night only to return at noon the next day with no recollection, at all, of what happened. Kaori simply stood outside of the Kanjo family's apartment and waited for the boy to go out. It seemed to be structured the exact same every night with Goro magically finding his way out of the apartment at around 10 o'clock sharp. It was around that time that Kaori sat around, waiting for something to happen. The current time was 9:58 at night.

Kaori started to get a bit bored, waiting for something to happen. She opened her mouth and let out a yawn before hearing the sound of something sliding up. This caught her attention as she hugged the wall in front of the apartment and activated her Ryuugan. She heard rustling and the sound of someone climbing down a metal railing. She turned the corner to watch the boy, Goro, start to walk in a particular direction. Something didn't seem right with the boy so after he made a little bit of distance, she began to follow as quietly as she could.

Continuing down the village streets, she started to see more and more children pour into the street and follow Goro, creating a mob of children going in the same direction. The look in their eyes seemed to resemble a zombie, one devoid of life and purpose. It was as if they were under the control of something; something pulling their strings. Knowing this was the best time to blend in, Kaori did her best to mimic the dead-like movement of the children and follow them to their destination.

She was lead by the group of zombie children towards a small building and inside the building, they found themselves taking a secret passage behind a fake wall. After the zombie children piled in one-by-one in through the fake wall, she found herself taking stairs downwards into a cellar-like structure; a massive one filled with candle lights, torches and an altar. This appeared similarly to a cult-like meeting place. All of the children, including herself, stood in a dead-like manner waiting for several minutes. Suddenly, however, another group of torches were lit to illuminate a green statue of a cat bearing horns. Sitting on top of the massive statue was a fat cat that Kaori recognized, licking his paws and nodding.

"Hello, children!" the cat said in plain common. The children responded with "Hail, Cat Daddy!" with Kaori playing along, moving her mouth to mimic what the children were saying to the best of her ability.

"Tonight is the night where you, my new army, will assemble and dismantle humanity. The plague upon this planet responsible for deforestation,
colonizing our homes, pushing us out of our natural habitats and taking away all of our food. They also enslave us, expecting us to be kind and obedient towards them. I have selected you children because you too are expected to be quiet and obedient to your masters you call your parents.
They expect you to do things they cannot. They expect you to propagate their species and force you into roles that will jeopardize your lifespan.
They also keep you in cages, much like us, so we are no different from one another. Rise up, children, and assist me in taking this village back in the name of nature!" the cat said as it raised it's paw into the air.

Cat Daddy's eyes were a blood red with a black object slowly spinning around it. Kaori noticed this and immediately knew that it was this cat's eyes that was the cause of this. The Boss Cat that she captured a while back also had these red eyes and were able to spit fireballs. Even something about this cat was off.

"Come! Kiss the paws of the Grimalkin and run out! Kill your parents and siblings in their sleep! Kill your family and your friends! Kill everyone while they sleep! We will own the night!"

Before anyone had a chance to move, Kaori moved herself through the crowd and stepped forward, finding herself on the altar and turned her back towards the Cat Daddy and shouted towards the children. "Stop this! Your family and friends love you and want nothing but the best for you! Yes, you will have to live listening to your parents for a few years and what you want to do is your own destiny!" she said as she knows full-well that she somewhat understood what Cat Daddy was saying and agreed to some of the things he said, mainly because she was a puppet to her mother to fulfill her own desires of power and was destined to become the key to unlocking the solution to the world's problems by feeding the Great Dragon, but this isn't something the children of the village should be burdened with; not when they were born into households that love and cherish them.

Kaori turned a finger towards Cat Daddy in an accusing manner. "He is manipulating your minds! Your thoughts are not your own!
He won't let you mold your own legacy!
" she said while children started to make their way up to the statue and kiss the creature's paws.
A hearty laugh was given as the cat jumped off of the statue, being backed up now by some of the animals from the animal shelter. "They won't heed your words. No matter what I say now, they'll just do what I tell them to. What do you think will happen when--" the cat said before Kaori immolated her fists in a blue flame and punched the grimalkin, sending out a vibration throughout the statue, causing pain to rack her ears, the animal's ears, and the childrens'. She punched the thing once more once she recovered, repeating the process again.

After everyone recovered, the cat stepped forward. "Stop! You'll break the statue!" the cat said as Kaori punched it once more, causing it to shatter into thousands of pieces, leaving behind a massing gong-sounded noise in it's wake. Now that the catalyst for the children to go off on a rampage was done,
it was time for her to settle this once and for all. She went up to the cat and grabbed it by the throat with both of her hands. "Not only do you manipulate other animals, but you also manipulate children," she said as she continued to squeeze the cat's throat even tighter. The cat responded by clawing at her arms. Fighting through the pain, she continued to squeeze the creature's throat before hearing a light hissing noise.

"There's no way you're a cat! Show yourself! Your TRUE self!" she said before a cloud appeared, having her grab at a grown man's throat. The force of her being on the man caused the two to fall over onto the man's back. "These eyes! This is what you use to control them!!!" she said as she moved one hand from the man's throat, giving him a chance to catch his breath to grab a shard of the statue and with 2 quick movements, she stabbed the fragment into one eye and then into the other eye, causing the man to hold his face and roll around in agony.
She stood up, releasing the man's throat as he flailed around in pain.

Kaori simply spit on him as his spell wore off, causing the dogs and cats to look confused and run away while the children looked around, not knowing how they got there. Kaori turned to look towards the kids and pointed in the direction of the stairs. "That way, go home and do it quietly. People are trying to sleep," she said as she pointed with a bloodied hand. The kids put two and two together, seeing Kaori's bloodied hands and the man rolling around holding his face. They started to scramble only for Kaori to shout out, once more. "I said quietly!" she muttered out, stopping the children from panicking for a brief moment, but it didn't stop them from making a hasty retreat. Once all the children were gone, it was just her and the so-called 'Cat Daddy'. She walked up to him and started to repeatedly kick the downed man.

"Using Ninja Arts to manipulate children to kill their families? You're scum," she said as she kicked the man in the face, sending him spinning into the altar. "You despicable coward! Using children to fulfill your goals!" she said this as she continued to kick the man in the face and chest, picturing her mom in the position that the man was in. She continued to kick him until she was eventually peeled off of him by a member of ANBU. In a fit of rage, she turned and threw a punch only for her punch to be caught by a masked ANBU. She just realized who it was and her arms went limp. "Sorry," she said as she lowered her arms to the side.

"You did good work. You sure you don't want to join the Corps?"

"Yeah. I think I'm too emotional for that line of work, as you can see." she said as she turned to look towards the man for a moment, de-activating her Ryuugan. She didn't even notice them coming due to her being exclusively focusing on the man in front of her. "He disguised himself as a cat and I even sent him to the pound. He had use of the Sharingan, so I got rid of his weapons. It's best that he doesn't have those," she said before turning to look towards the ANBU. She pushed her hair off of her shoulders and made her way towards the stairs. "Don't worry about sending payment, I'll pick it up tomorrow after I get some sleep." With that, the story of the Cat Boss comes to a close.

The man taking the facade of a cat was named Shiga Moku, a shinobi reject who didn't pass the academy and was a fond believer of the 'Clean Earth Policy' to cleans the planet of humans so that the planet would regain it's true self once again and that life on the planet would flourish. He had been sentenced to execution by the tribunal.

Malpractice at the Retirement Home [SSM]

Enslavement of Humanity
wC303TN.png
"Patient Number 2460-1, you have a visitor," one of the orderlies stated as he poked his head into the woman named Morinaga Misato's room. She looked at the man with a pleasantly, yet horrified look of surprise on her face. The orderly walked in to reach for the woman's arm. She tried to resist the man, tugging her arm back, but the man responded with tightly grabbing the woman's arms and digging his nails into her flesh, causing sharp pain to run through the woman. The sharp sting of pain caused the woman to comply to the man's demands, which caused him to loosen his grip slightly on the woman. "Remember what will happen if you tell your friends or family about what happens here, Missy," he said in a taunting and threatening manner. The woman quietly nods her head and followed the man into the meeting room where the other elderly are meeting with their children and grand-children, each having the same look of distress in their eyes.

The man pointed the woman in the direction of the table that Kaori was sitting at and released his grip from her. The woman looked at Kaori with a bout of confusion before Kaori ran up to her and jumped up to hug her. "Grandma!" she said as she hugged the woman. Before she had the chance to resist, Kaori whispered "Play along, your daughter hired me to look into the mistreatment of people here. Play along or I can't fix this," she whispered into her ear before the woman hugged Kaori back with a smile upon her face.

"Oh, my adorable lily flower!" Misato said as she carried Kaori in her arms with her sitting upon the woman's forearm, being carried back to the table that Kaori was sitting at.

"It's been so long!" Kaori shouted, continuing the facade.

"Yes, you've grown so big! Look at you!" she said in equal excitement. The man that escorted her here shook his head and disappeared. Once the man vanished, they dropped the facade and Kaori was let down so she'd be able to sit in the chair next to Misato. She looked over Kaori for a moment with a confused look on her face. "Ruka hired me because she noticed a lot of distress from, not only you, but the other people here. She said you weren't acting like your usual self; panicky and afraid was how she described you acting as of late," Kaori explained.

A smile came across Misato's face as she heard the name Ruka and the fact that she hired a child, a wanna-be shinobi, to come and solve a problem that grown-ups couldn't handle. "My name is Kaori," she stated, introducing herself to the target. "I need information on where I can find proof of the malpractice. Hearsay won't hold up, ya know?" she said as she leaned in and started to whisper to her. "Now giggle. Just do it," she said as she pulled away from the woman and giggled, herself. She replied, in kind, as this was the facade they had to play. They leaned back in once again and she explained to Kaori that the warden had a notebook that she would scribble on, taking notes. It was most likely a journal of what happens in the hospital. Again, the two withdrew and giggled to draw away suspicion.

During the time before the two pulled away for the giggle, she asked where the office was and Misato commented that it would be passed the bathrooms behind a couple locked doors. "Grandma! i need to go to the bathroom!" she said out-loud in a typical 10-year old fashion. With a smile, Misato and Kaori got up and Misato escorted her to the bathroom. Kaori followed her to the bathroom and on the way there said ""Stall for time," she said as the two of them walked to the bathroom and Misato opened the door only for Kaori to walk in. She closed the door behind her and locked it with Misato standing in front of the door, keeping people out.

While Misato stood guard, Kaori looked around for the air vent and using her fingers, she unscrewed them and pulled off the vent cover, climbing up into the air duct.
She traveled through the very cramped space, looking down occasionally, finding rooms that seemed unimportant until she found herself hovering over a single room with a woman sitting at a desk. She was on the telephone, talking about shipments of medicine. "Yes, I need that shipment of NX-212. Yes. You know it's to placate these old crones. Yeah. If we don't use NX-212, we'd have to use fear to keep them placated. Yeah. Mmmhmm. How else are we going to keep them quiet.
Yeah.. Okay. Good. Please do that,
" she said before hanging up the phone, rubbing the bridge of her nose before scribbling something in her notebook.

Kaori's eyes fixated upon the notebook and knew exactly what she needed to get. After the woman scribbled in her notebook, she closed it and shouted out, "Ingrates and morons! All of them!" she shouted out before dashing out of her office, leaving the notebook behind. After she closed the door, Kaori used her thumbs as tools again and undid the hardware holding the vent and quietly jumped out. She looked around the office for a brief moment, seeing if she could get any other evidence before picking up the notebook and returning to where she came from; the vents. However, she forgot to fix the vent cover on, leaving behind tracks to follow.

After Kaori picked up and left, the woman returned to her office with a bottle of water and paused for a moment, noticing something was off. She noticed the vent cover on the floor, the vent completely open and then her book missing. She threw the bottle of water down to the ground and ran out of her office shouting. "We have a breech! Put the house under lockdown!" the woman said before loud sirens blared throughout the house, causing everyone in the house to fall to the ground on their bellies. Everyone except Misato. She patiently waited while standing up.

One of the orderlies walked up to her and shouted at here. "Why aren't you on the ground?" the man said as Misato smiled at him. "Because my grand-daughter is using the bathroom, I'm waiting for her," she said only for the orderly to slap her across the face, forcing her onto the ground and pulled her away from the door. The orderly shuffled through his keys making a bunch of noise as Kaori finally slipped back into the bathroom and pulled her pants down, pretending she was on the toilet. The door opened to Kaori with her pants half-down, causing her to shriek. "PERVERT!!!!" she shouted as she grabbed the toilet paper and threw it at the man, hitting him in the face with the toilet paper. Instinctively, the man closed the door to let her finish. "Hurry up and finish!" the man said impatiently.

Kaori shifted the position of the book comfortably in her haori before standing up and pulled her pants up. She grumbled a bit and flushed the empty toilet before walking out. She eyeballed the man that walked in on her and looked to Misato, seeing her on the ground. She slapped the man's arm. "What did you do to her! Why'd you hit her!?" loud enough to alert the people in the visiting room of what happened. There were murmurs from the room before the alarm turned off. Shortly after the alarms turned off, Kaori was confronted by the Warden with her hand out.

"Give me my notebook. You have no need for it." the woman stated.

"No! You're doing bad things to the people that live here! You hurt them and instill fear into them so they wouldn't talk about the bad things you do here!
You even ordered drugs to keep them passive! You are all monsters!
" she shouted out before the warden slapped her across the face and the wardens went to seize her. With a swift kick to one of the Orderly's jewels, she pushed the woman away and stood over Misato's body, still upon the floor. "You hurt this woman and terrorized her to not talk about the bad things you have done. You also did bad things to the others. Do you think you can continue mistreating people like this? These people trusted you!" she said before pulling out the notebook and held it up in the air.

"You want this back? You'll have to fight me for it!" she said before pocketing the book once again and spun around in a very quick circle, blocking the cavalcade of punches and steel batons headed in her direction, flinging them out of the door. "Get up, Granny. We need to get out of here. This place isn't safe any more," Kaori said as she helped the woman back on her feet. She put the woman behind her and started to circle around their way out the door.
After the two escaped the room, the Warden adjusted her glasses and simply stated. "Kill them both." As the command was given, 2 of the orderlies walked out to follow them.

"Everyone get up! We need to leave this place! They are hurting you and this will come to a stop!" she said as the door opened up behind her with orderlies carrying electrical batons. She moved Misato to the side and gave her the notebook. "Keep this safe," she said as Misato took the book and moved towards the outside walls. Following the orderlies, the warden appeared and started giving a speech. Before Kaori gave her time to say much, she activated her Ryuugan, set her hands on fire and swiped at the two men, instantly knocking them down. With a quick set of hand-seals, she gazed at the woman and her face turned a deep crimson color.

"What I really wanted was someone to hurt me!" the warden said. With that, she cleared her throat and directed everyone to leave the facility.

Moments later...
The entire building was captured by the Main Branch, now no longer associating with the ANBU. Evidence of the notebook had detailed all of the awful things done to the people that lived here along with the testimonials from the residents. The residents were given compensation from the village and those responsible for this atrocious place received 10 years of imprisonment for inhumane acts towards the elderly, use of fear and intimidation, multiple counts of malpractice, and even several counts of murder. One thing, however, that lingered in Kaori's mind was the production of that NX-212 drug that the warden wanted. She rubbed her chin and left the scene, telling them that she'd pick up payment tomorrow morning. She has a feeling that the NX-212 might be a drug made by shady individual. This wouldn't be the last time she'd hear about it.
