Find my Cat
"There you are~" Kaori said as she cornered the red and black cat in an alleyway. She raised her hands up to the level of her eyes in a grabby motion as the cat stuck it's tongue out towards her. "C'mon, little fluffy kitty. You know you want to go home to your little mean goblin of a girl. She won't hurt you," she said in a taunting manner. All the while, the cat started to back up, bumping into a wall. Seeing this as a time to strike, Kaori lunged in to grab the cat, only for the feline to wait for the last moment, jump on Kaori's head and use her cranium as a spring-board to get itself up the wall.
Mimicking the words of Sennin Hakuren, "Bitch!" she shouted out. She started to run up the tall wall with a light blue hue appearing below her feet. She stepped on the wall, magically pushing herself up the wall until she scaled it. She stood on top of the wall and watched the cat run around through the buildings. With a deep breath in, she took a step back and jumped off of the wall in pursuit of the cat. She climbed up many walls throughout the city only for the feline to completely outsmart her. After about a half hour of running around, Kaori stopped and placed her hands upon her knees to catch her breath.
"Why are cats so agile?" she asked herself. The reason was plainly obvious, to avoid predators like herself. If she was going to kill the cat to eat, this would be a different story. Simply hide, shoot the cat in the chest and be done with it. However, capturing something alive was MUCH more difficult. As Kaori was catching her breath, she had lost track of the cat. "My first solo mission and I'm probably going to fail. Don't think bad of me, Mina, I'm trying," she said as if pleading with the dead to not curse her.
As she was pleading to Mina, she noticed the cat walk into her line of sight. The cat turned it's head to the side, wiggled it's tail to display the ribbon upon it for a moment. It was mocking Kaori. The animal's taunt only made her angry. Channeling her inner Hakuren, she shouted out. "Bitch!" Her mouth is quite vulgar when she runs out of patience. Pulling herself together, she started to run towards the cat only to turn into another alley. In this alley, she found a large number of strays; about 13 to be specific.
Out of the 13, there were 4 cats that matched the description of the little fluffball she was supposed to get, each having ribbons of different colors tied to their tails. She looked at the cats for a moment, trying to remember the color of the ribbon. If she remembered the color of the ribbon, she'd remember which one was the real cat. Red, blue, white, and black. Those were the colors of the ribbons. While she was trying to discern which cat was the real one, she was being surrounded by other scraggly cats, as if being bullied out of the alley. Her heart started to race as the cats grew closer and closer. She knew that if she let them get too close, she's going to have a bad day.
Her first instinct was to look for the one with the red ribbon, but there was something a LITTLE off about this. The mission description DID say that it wore a red ribbon, but something about it's looks were a bit off. She looked around at the other cats until the one with the black ribbon stuck it's tongue out. "There you are!" she shouted out and lunged forward towards the cat with the black ribbon only for it to run away. She started to chase the cat through the alleyway, running on the walls to avoid the cat scratches only for the cat to disappear once again. "Crap!" she stamped her feet in annoyance.
At this point, Kaori declared the cat long-gone, finding a nice shady tree to sit under and take a rest. She sighed and leaned back upon the tree and looked upwards with her eyes closed. After a brief moment, she noticed the cat she was chasing after was sleeping in a branch on the tree. She made as little noise as she could and applied chakra to her hands and feet and crawled her way up the tree and onto the branch that the cat was sleeping upon. With a quick lunge, she grabbed the cat and held it firmly. "There you are! Time to return you to your owners!"

About 10 minutes later...
Kaori walked back with the cat in tow, fighting with it as it struggled to get free, only to eventually make her way back to the owner's house. Without needing to knock on the door, the young girl, just a few years younger than she was, ran out and hugged Kaori and then took the cat out of her hands. "Oh! Thank you! I missed Fluffy Buttz. He tried playing 'Find the Real Me' again didn't he?" she asked as she looked down at the cat now in her possession. The cat stuck it's tongue out at the girl and she hugged him to bits, causing the cat to squeal in agony. Kaori laughed a bit uncomfortably and nodded her head.
The little girl ran back inside her house only to be met with the client, an elderly woman. She smiled and patted Kaori on the top of the head. "Consider this 'Mission Complete' there, little ninja, tee-hee," the elderly lady said before turning around and walking inside. Kaori threw a hand into the air in victory. "Yes! Finished my first solo mission!"
