Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Hikaru made her way up the path leading to the gates of Konohagakure, walking alongside the vacationing Mednin she had met on her errand. She gazed up at the gates in all their splendor as the pair approached, wondering what it would be like to see them for the very first time. The Medical Chief slowed her pace as they neared the guard station, indicating to Uka that this was her stop. They arrived before a curly-haired guard, clad in the traditional Leaf flak jacket. Very quickly after they came into view of the station's interior, the guard began the usual questions with a note of eagerness- apparently new on the job, Hikaru assumed.

"Hello!" she began. "I'm Miyazaki Hikaru, Leaf Medical Chief of the Combat Division. I've returned escorting this woman from the Land of Earth- she can provide you with further information." It hadn't been quite long enough yet that she was confident the shinobi who operated the guard stations knew her name, so she introduced herself just in case. After, she gestured to Uka, and the guard looked away from the girl with a short nod.

"Hello, and welcome to Konohagakure- may we review your documentation?" When presented with such, the shinobi behind the guard station would accept it, scanning over each line twice before moving on. "As you may know," they added, "we require the approval of an authoritative Leaf Shinobi from inside the village before your admittance. Please wait as everything is processed..."

The headset call proved interesting yet. She was required immediatly at the gates for a group of two and Soku sighed swinging her legs off the table that she had been putting them up on. She often didn't take these shifts up out of habit but she had decided to humour the guards today and give them some sort of relief. She often passed by to give them some breaks at times and help out where needed and here they were. "I'll be there momentarily." One hand shot up to pull the ANBU mask over her face as she swung on her white cloak, the symbol of her office as one hand rested on the pale gold sheath that contained her sword as she made her way outside blinking a few times to get accustomed to the sunlight.

And the people. Yes, the people.

The guard who happened to be interviewing two people beckoned her over, the Captain making her way over idly giving the two a glance. One was recgoniazble enough, Hikaru, the young girl she had tutored once now fully bloomed within the Medical Branch. As for the other, Soku had never seen or heard of her in any way or form. "And to what do I owe this great pleasure?" The kunoichi asked as she stopped as the guard reiterated the information he had been provided with and that made this all the more interesting. The Land of Earth, another traveler though unlike the last one, she hoped this would go a lot more smoothly.

"Iwagakure? I must say, we don't get a lot from that direction." Snapping her fingers at the guard, a clipboard was handed into her hands and Soku scanned the papers murmuring to herself. "Well, I trust you have proper documentation and a passport for entrance if I could take a look at those please?" She would inquire pleasantly. "Name, purpose of visit, duration of stay?" Whether she was here to try Konohagakure's prized dangos or not, the thought almost made her stomach rumble as she waited for the woman to speak.

Uka would walk alongside the other kunoichi for most of the way, sometimes wandered in between the trees and off the beaten path in order to check for a herb or two based on their soil and location preferences. "I had thought that there would be quite the variety around here, but this is well beyond my expectation really." She would remark after a few of those little escapades as her herb pouch was rather overflowing at this point and with that she decided it was high time to leave the local flora rest easy.

It wasn't too long after that that they arrived at the gates with the only thing drawing more attention than her clothin were the gates themselves. After all there weren't that many people with as many rather bright colours as she was currently wearing after all, namely a blue shirt with a light-green travellers cloak, a pair of brown walking boots and brown trousers. It was more than safe to say there was no losing sight of her under normal circumstances. For those more observant she was wearing an Iwagakure headband around her waist as a belt, though it was somewhat obscured by her shirt. Other than that she was carrying a medium-sized backpack on her back with another pair of brown boots hanging from its' side and a herb pouch with a strap accross her chest.

"Good morning, Uka, Mednin of Iwagakure acting as head of toxicology at the Hope Hospital. Here's my passport." The kunoichi would reach into the hidden pocket on the inside of her trousers, her headband being rather visible now as she took out her passport, which was wrapped in a leather cover with the iwagakure symbol on it. "Here you go." Uka would place it on the counter in front of the guard, who could easily look through it to only really see one other stamp, namely one from the country of Tea.

However it seemed her presence required some more.... extreme response if you will, which was signified by the arrival of an anbu. It was safe to say she had seen her fair share, considering her trade, though she always found that branch to be fascinating. Not as much as her own work, but maybe in another life.

"Can't say I have travelled much to help with that either." The herbalist would smile, gesturing over towards her passport in the guards' hands as they asked for documentation. "As I just mentioned - Uka, Mednin of Iwagakure acting as head of toxicology at the Hope Hospital. My purpose is to study the local flora, gather samples of herbs that are difficult to find back home and try to collect seeds and offshoots in order to attempt to cultivate them back home. Duration would be a few weeks. Unlikely to be more than a month. Other than that possibly offer my services as a medical professional in emergencies if that is necessary." She would respond with a brief nod before glancing up towards the sky as she thought whether there was anything she missed out. "Not sure if my plan to try most of the ramen and dango stalls around needs to really be mentioned." She would glance back over towards the anbu and shrug as she said her last line.

Hikaru watched the guard look up at an approaching figure, recognizing the white cloak as belonging to one of the two ANBU Captains of the village. She also noticed that the mask was different than that worn by Yuki during a class that she had taught- the first time the girl could remember seeing an ANBU mask. Figuring that the woman before them was Soku, the Medical Chief nodded in greeting, reminding herself not to call her by name to guard the Captain's identity. It felt odd to think that she was the same level of rank within the village as her...

The guard gave a slight bow as Soku arrived, deferring the process to her. Hikaru stood by as the two spoke to each other; as Uka finished, she added, "If at all needed, I can vouch for her botanical knowledge at least. We would very much appreciate her help in the Medical Branch, even if only in an emergency!"

[Apologies for the shorter post! I've been a bit busy today, but I wanted to make sure this doesn't take too long :)]

A gloved hand accepted the passport flicking through it, the eyes looking for the usual nodding as the woman spoke. Mednin and if Uka wanted to spend her days around Konohagaure's fine greenery, Soku had no qualms letting her do so. "Can't say I'm much of a plant person myself but maybe that's just me." The Captain said as she closed the passport before handing it back to the kunoichi. It would have to do for now. Coupled with Hikaru's remarks, Soku knew that the Medical Branch would appreciate all the hands they could get even if it was something simple as the herbalist she claimed to be. "Sennin Nao will be pleased to have an additional pair of hands." A part of her was curious, wanted to quiz her on Iwagakure, it was one of those countries that no one really visited these days anymore, a name that had sort of dropped off the map but it was still there.

The ANBU would step to the side gesturing the duo forward into the humble bustle of buildings that made up Konohgakure. "Enjoy your stay here. The presiding Hokage is Uchiha Asuka. I am sure Hikaru will be more than happy to see to your needs while you are here." Her head tilited towards the Medical Chief in an almost unspoken message, she was always wary of foreigners no matter how pleasant they seemed but someone who was a plant-lover hardly seemed like anyone to fuss over in her books. "Welcome to Konohagakure, Uka-san." There was still a long winding line of people to get through and she was not looking forward to it.

"Tell Asuka she owes me for having to deal with all of this." Soku added in a side whisper as she passed Hikaru striding over to lean against a wall folding her arms to watch as people trickled in and out. Hopefully, she wouldn't be needed any more longer.

Uka would briefly nod in response as she carefully took her passport back, placing into back into the hidden pocket of her trousers. She would offer the anbu a brief smile. "Thank you for your time." The herbalist would carefully take her backpack and herb bag from the counter in front of the guard where they had been left for inspection. She would then step away and to the side, directing her attention back to Hikaru.

"I do believe I am going to go get myself something to eat in case you are also hungry." The medic would ask in a fairly round-about way, gesturing over towards inside of the village. Honestly she couldn't really remember when it was that she last had something to eat... yesterday evening? Proper meal wise it would be then and those berries she had had earlier. Either way it was time to grab something to eat...

Hikaru nodded in agreement with the ANBU's observation. The branch was always more than welcome to any assistance it could get- unsurprisingly, their village based around its Shinobi military institution happened to have a few injuries and accidents here and there. "Of course- if you need anything, feel free to let me know. My office is located in the Konoha Byoin-" it still felt wonderful to say that- "...on the first floor, near the reception desk. You should be able to find it alright!" She met Soku's eyes, assumedly, through the mask, generally understanding that she was charged with keeping an eye on the woman- both guiding and cautious.

She smiled as she heard the Captain's aside, responding lightly, "I'd be glad to apologize on her behalf, how about that." With that, she let Soku leave, turning her focus to Uka once more. "I appreciate the offer! I have to make a few trips around town this afternoon, but I'd happily show you to the village's famous Ramen and Dango shops if you'd like. We're famous for those places, you know..."
