Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Haru scratched his head slightly as he looked across the room he was in. It has been quite a while since he visited the Dojo, or Kuro himself for that matter. and just his luck as he wasn't around at the time he came to visit. Though his intention was slightly different, though it seemed the lord of the House mentioned him enough so that the people int he compound trusted him to an extent. Enough to let him into the Halls library.

It was a bit strange to come here, given how his last extended visit to the village library went...still, as much as he would like to avoid the subject, things happened to him when he ventured out of the village...things he did not fully understand. And he doubted he could easily find information on them in the village library without rising to many heads. With the Toranao...Well, they seemed to have quite the history of demons and such beings...it made sense they would write it down somehow.

Not that he knew where to look or even what to look for exactly...he didn't know what kind of forces he actually bound himself to. Still, it was worth to at least browse through some of the tomes...and he always appreciated the way the entire Hall was built. So for the moment as he entered the library he looked around in a slight daze, admiring its size and rustic look. He looked around slightly absentmindedly, not really sure where to start from...also fighting the temptation to start scribbling a picture. He didn't want to be a bother to the keeper of the library after all.

The interior of the Great Toraono Library was vast, walls reaching twice as high as they had any right, and lined to the brim with books both ancient and new. The clan was not known for their deep love of reading, but over the decades the Great Library had become a haven for knowledge for those whom the knowledge of the elusive Oracles was forbidden. As a result, there were few days that more than a handful of souls had made their way to this section of the Dojo, leaving those who did find comfort in the texts alone to relish in their solitude. This also meant that those who did not frequent the halls stood out like a sore thumb, and few individuals were ever inclined to break out of their books or social anxiety to offer any aid.

For those who were unfamiliar with the archives the layout would be... daunting, to say the very least. There was a rhyme and reason to the thirty high stacked shelves that stretched on for what seemed like infinity, but to grasp that eldritch concept was beyond mere casual shinobi such as Harupia. He was not alone in his trouble this day however, in a different part of the archives another fresh face looked around in a vain attempt to try and locate archaic knowledge. Suzume walked up and down the rows, blindly reading the spines of books both new in old with little luck. Occasionally she glanced up at the towering wall of books, but decided against attempting to brave a ladder just to find more tomes on the mating rituals of sand mites.

Getting frustrated, Suzume began to walk the entire interior of the library, as if simple proximity to the knowledge she sought would simply call out to her. The few bodies she saw were sitting at tabled behind forts of scrolls and books, their nose hidden away from view as they studied. A few times she nearly mustered the courage to speak to one, but when she did manage to catch one's eye, only to receive a mile long stare, she timidly shifted her way into another row of books. She eventually stopped, exhausted from her brain flailing around with nothing to show for it. As she rested her back against the bookcase, she caught sight of someone who wasn't enraptured by arcane knowledge. "Hey!" She called out, too loudly for any self-respecting library dweller, as she pushed off the wall and scampered over to make her presence known to the Sunaku.

"Hey hey," she called once more, trying to get is attention that seemed to be in almost as much of a daze as all the other patrons. She raised her hand and waved until she eventually did manage to snatch his attention from the ancient architecture. "Help me find something," the young girl commanded, not bothering with simple things such as asking. The fourteen year old turned behind her and scanned the area once more, as if gesturing that she was having no luck on her own. "Needing to find stuff on old... is it old? I guess it probably is... old religions." She turned back to Harupia, looking up at him expectantly, waiting on him to obediently nod and lead her exactly to where she needed to look.

Hmm...well while he wasn't quite unfamiliar with how big libraries could be, there was a slightly more...daunting feeling when ti came to the Toranao archives. He wasn't sure why, the size of the bookshelves filled with tomes and scrolls of varying sizes, the general grandious fo the building and the reputation of the clan, the fact that while a guest, he was partially an outsider... Or a general mix of all these factors making him feel a slight dread at the prospect of diving right into the bookshelves.

There was also the fact he didn't know where to quite look, as he didn't quite see any sort of labels or named sections on the shelves themselves. And as much of a cheery fellow he was, and how much the Clan had to do with otherworldly entities, he assumed stepping up to the people already there to ask whether they knew any good books on demons or spirits possessing another or the effect of ancient energies on the human body, he probably get some...curious glances.

He was snapped back to reality as someone called out, in a tone probably a bit too loud. AS the Hey's continued, aimed at him, he did notice the having hand directing him towards the source. A rather chipper young girl ti seemed. As she gave the command he did take a moment to put a finger to his lips in an attempt to shush her slightly, though the fact she turned her back to him might have probably made it miss the mark. As she turned back to face him with a very determined look on her face, he chuckled sheepishly as he said "Erm...I may be as lost as you are with all these books here...But Id is happy to help you find whatever you're looking for if you'd like" his tone gentle, and also, inappropriate for library volumes.
