Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was show time. Maybe it was her rivalry with her twin brother. Maybe it was the amount of boasting Satsumaru-San conveyed, stating he was the most powerful of the Uchiha within the village. These things combined simply made her want to prove them all wrong.

Satsumaru was giving them the advantage of making the first move. However he would still take up a defensive stance, something the likes Kumiko had never seen. Was this an Uchiha technique? Was this the power he spoke of before? This being, she figured which was made of chakra, hovered over him. Protecting him. Somehow her and Bruinetto would have to crack this defense. Bruinetto took it upon himself to start things up with a Genjutsu. Using Genjutsu against another Uchiha, obviously, wasn't her first choice. But at least he got that out of the way. This would leave the offensive to Kumiko.

With her Naginata in hand this female Uchiha was ready to get up close and personal. Her breathing began to increase as she began to cleanse herself of logic and restraint. Instead replacing them with instinct and adrenaline. Pushing off the ground with her right foot she'd speed towards Satsumaru, while letting the shadows linger about her. Channeling her chakra throughout her body, mixed with this surge of adrenaline, Kumiko would strengthen her assault. With the tip if her blade angled downwards, as she drew in close to her target, she'd attempt a horizontal slash across at knee height before before twirling the staff downwards. Forcing her opponent to either jump out of harms reach or back away in defense. In response the blade would immediately raise in a repeated upward thrust. Each thrust leaving a shimmering trail in it's wake. Any of these four strikes, if successful, would leave a shimmer mark upon her opponent. Making it easier for her to target Satsumaru within this fight.

While the male took a moment of strategic contemplation, the female went on the offensive. It was clear by the look in her Sharingan eyes that she wanted to strike Satsumaru himself. The blade of her naginata, however, struck the chakra being that enveloped him. The naginata's edge dipped into the chakra flesh of the entity with each strike, but was ultimately repelled. The being gave an odd, otherworldly growl at being struck. Small shimmering marks were left in the blade's wake, embedding themselves into the glowing chakra, but the being ignored them, focusing purely on Kumiko now.

Another echoing growl emanated from the entity that Satsumaru was controlling, signalling his turn.

With one quick movement, the entity outstretched a giant arm, swiping with pure chakra energy toward Kumiko. Despite being massive in size, the arm moved with lightning speed, no doubt due to its chakra-based composition.

[Actions: Maintaining Susano'o, Anabolic Frenzy hit and marked, taking a swipe at Kumiko with chakra-extended arm.]

While standing off in the back and watching his sister go on the offensive his Sharingan carefully continued to gather all visual information it could from the situation at hand. There seemed to be no attempt at dodging the attack as all of her hits landed exceptionally easily. For one it should be easier to hit a much larger target but perhaps Satsumaru felt there was no need to dodge? Then again with such a large manifestation of chakra surrounding him perhaps one weakness was its hindrance to the users ability to dodge incoming attacks. If that was the case then hitting this entity of chakra then even if they were to potentially use less accurate attacks their chances of landing would be more successful.

The technique that his sister used against Satsumaru left something rather strange left behind upon him. This shimmering mark could easily be seen regardless of it being placed upon a large entity of chakra. While Bruinetto did not know the exact workings of this technique the fact that her technique left a mark gave him something to target. Springing into action he ran his hand along his belt activated a summoning seal which released a large scroll. Spinning around he would toss the scroll up into the air as it created a spiraling trail of paper around him. The use of the Twin Rising Dragon scroll would produce a large array of projectiles through hundreds of small burst of smoke. After the projectiles appeared they grouped together in two large clusters and were hurtled through the air. While flying through the air each projectile would ignite. A single lit projectile did not look too intimidating but in such large numbers they resembled small meteors. Both of these attacks were sent one after the other ultimately intending on striking the shimmering mark.

Bruinetto had hoped that during this moment while Satsumaru's focus was on Kumiko it would ensure a greater success with his attack. However much like how she set up a situation for him to act upon he was going to do the same. Thrusting out his hands his chakra began traveling through the air would bombard Susano'o. This chakra at first seemed to have no real effect but being coated by Bruinetto's chakra over time would prove detrimental. While gravity was a force always acting upon all things the force of attraction began to skyrocket as the gravity became distorted. This force acting upon Susano'o would aim to keep it stationary. Even if they were not capable of hitting Satsumaru himself, at this point he seemed incapable of doing anything else aside from maintaining this technique.

Her attempt of striking Satsumaru himself was, as she thought, impossible. This being of chakra acted as a shield against any offensive against it's user. Her attacks hit, however, were easily ignored by this being. The shimmer marks hit, which meant later one, it would be easier to strike against him. Not that accuracy was a problem against it's sheer size. Now it was Satsumaru's turn to strike. An arm of pure energy lashed out towards the female Uchiha at a speed Kumiko thought impossible for a being of it's size. She channeled chakra into her blade. Just as the being struck her her form would vanish in a whisp of shadow. Lingering within the shadows for a moment she would wait for the opportune time to strike, timing her attack with Bruinetto's.

While her twin pounded Susanoo with, over time with his chakra, it appeared as if he was attempted to keep it stationary with her gravity jutsu. Kumiko would have to make use of this opening to try and attack Satsumaru. From the shadows a clone of Kumiko would emerge within sight of Satsumaru. while the actual Kumiko lingered within the shadows. As the clone performed hand seals, activating Spontaneous Combustion, the clone would attempt to ignite Satsumaru. This jutsu, performed by her clone, was meant as a distraction from the real Kumiko. Re-emerging from the shadows behind Satsumaru with her naginata in hand she would strike with a hyper thrust.

Weapon
Weapon Name: Shinkirou [Mirage]
- Naginata
Dmg Type: Piercing
Accuracy/Dmg modifier: -1 Acc//+5% base dmg
Special Augment Slot 1: Fata Morgana
All Taijutsu Techniques that miss are re-rolled using the users Genjutsu Difficulty versus the Targets Melee/Ranged Dodge. This can only occur once per round and do not apply to basic strikes.
Notes:
- Does not stack not Augment Mirage. When Fata Morgana is active, Mirage is disabled until Fata Morgana ends.
Augment Slot 2:Special Composition
The user must declare a base of Fire/Water/Wind/Earth/Lightning/Non-Elemental upon having this weapon equipped. Taijutsu Attacks made with this weapon gain half of the damage buffs the user has towards the element. Taijutsu Attacks are treated as the chosen element.
- This does not break the cap limit.
- An Advance Element may be chosen instead gaining full damage buffs the user may have. Example: If one chooses Ink, the user would only gain Ink Buffs and not buffs from Lightning/Wind.
- Once a buff is chosen, this can not be changed regardless of being dropped, sheathed, or unequipped.
- The user must have a Minor in the chosen base element. The user must also meet the requirements to choose an Advanced Element as well as having the Advanced Element be one of the four chosen Advanced Elements.
Augment Slot 3:Daze
A full hit from this weapon reduces the target's Genjutsu Save by -.5 for the remainder of the round. Stacks up to -2.
Notes:
- When used with a Multi-Hit Taijutsu, all strikes must be Full Hits in order to inflict Daze.

Satsumaru grinned as the twins continued their assault. It seemed they had their own separate tricks. Different methods of attack, paired with different methods of distraction.

First, it was Bruinetto who went on the offensive as his sister recovered from dodging the chakra entity's attack. He utilized the Twin Rising Dragon technique to unleash a hail of projectiles at him, igniting them with chakra. The multitude of weapons flew threw the air, and almost instinctively, Susano'o took a swipe at them. The whipping arm caught a number, but not all, of the projectiles - each of them impacting like tiny cannons against a castle wall. In addition, Kumiko took the chance to strike simultaneously, except instead of attacking with her weapon, the girl simply rushed onward, eyes fixated on Satsumaru within the entity. With a strike that buried deep into the earth, Susano'o plunged his blade-wielding arm into the ground, crushing the clone and dispersing it into an explosion of flames that rose from the trench left in his wake.

Soon after, both Satsumaru and Susano'o could feel a jutsu being forced against them. The Gravity Distortion jutsu focused on them and felt heavy. A low, otherworldly growl emanated from Susano'o, displaying the being's displeasure at being weighed down, but seemed uninterested in reprisal just yet. Likely because another, likely real, Kumiko was rushing to strike in the wake of the flames. Her blade scraped hard against the chakra-armor of Susano'o, bringing the demon to give an echoing rumble of anger.

With a flash, it's enormous chakra arms rushed out in flurries, striking with it's blade here and there. It was finally irritated by the attacks. It's chakra flesh and armor were visibly reforming and healing itself over time, but it was obviously not pleased with the trouble.

Two things had been made clear: firstly, that there was no getting to Satsumaru while Susano'o was intact; and secondly, that whatever damage got through it's chakra armor seemed to gradually heal itself over time. While Satsumaru had admitted that he wasn't out to hurt the twins, it was easy to see a case for and against. After all, this was obviously his attempt at showing the twins the ultimate power of an Uchiha, yet he was obviously holding back. A cautionary swipe here or there by the entity was play compared to what the enormous thing was capable of. However, with the being growing irritated, it was hard to say how well a mortal could control a "god". Now, it was striking fiercely at the twins, and while it's blows would hardly kill the children, the chakra nature of his composition would certainly be damaging...

[Twin Rising Dragon partial hit, Spontaneous Combustion clone stopped by Susano'o, Gravity Distortion hit, Hyper Thrust hit. Susano'o is counter attacking with a full barrage of strikes while Satsumaru stands comfortably within :p]

Much like since the beginning of the battle Bruinetto was carefully watching the effects of their attacks against this strange creature of chakra. Over the course of this battle thus far he has released a few key things about this ability. For one was that it made him immune to genjutsu, secondly it wasn't invicible, thirdly that because of it's size it appeared to be slower than Satsumaru normally, and finally was that any damage that it would take could be recovered. With the amount of damage they did however, it seemed that Susano'o had not fully recovered. This was going to mean that in order to defeat this manifestation of chakra they were going to have to do damage to it faster than it could actually repair. This may prove to be troublesome in the long run, but he surmised that a technique of this type was not easy to maintain. However up to this point the entity has barely attempted at striking back to them, and now it seemed like this was going to change. As Susano'o would come out swinging violently to counter the damage that had been inflicted upon it. It was almost as if this creature, was alive itself.

The range of these attacks and the pure power behind them would do great damage upon a full hit. Compared to a normal taijutsu attack, each strike from Susano'o measured up to the scale of damage and destructive of some higher level ninjutsu. A strike that was coming his way swiftly and quickly approached him giving him very little time to manuever out of the way. Even though he was going to avoid a direct hit from the attack, the destructive power of the creatures attacks extended an even further range as the attack knocked Bruinetto off his feet causing him to skid across the ground for a moment. As the dust would begin to settle, you would see not one Bruinetto standing but four. The second one standing there was an actual physical clone. Reaching to his side he would grab onto a scroll and throw it up into the air as it unraveled. Firing off dozens of projectiles they all came together and molded into place creating a rather interesting creature. The creature resembling that of a dragon while impressive in size would not match the size of Susano'o. With these two cohorts he planned on co-ordinating their attacks with Kumiko's. He was determined to crack the shell of Susano'o and they were going to need all the offensive they could muster to break it before it recovers itself.

Susano'o was still going off on it's rampage as another attack was behind sent his way. Being weary of the attacks range he was better prepared to deal with it. Jumping off from the ground he would land on top of the steel dragon's head managing for the most part to miss the range of the attack. Once again he would misjudge the force behind these attacks as he could feel a powerful force act against his legs slightly throwing off his jump as he did not land on his creation gracefully. Taking initiative the other three Bruinetto would rush Susano'o getting within a mid-range with the creature. Each of them puffing up there chests as they initiated the same technique. All working together they fired off the Thermal Maw technique each from a different angle. While each one was a small scale attack, it was weakening Susano'o overall for what would be coming next. Reaching into his item scroll he would reveal another projectile as he began to focus his chakra through it. The large iron dragon would open it's mouth releasing a powerful roar which was accompanied by a large mass of steel being fired out from within. This powerful attack soared with incredible speed aiming for a pinpoint strike against Satsumaru. Following behind it was the same technique but being used with a much smaller projectile. These projectiles were focused on the shimmer marks left behind on Susano'o.

[Used Elemental Clone to create three fire clones. Each of these fire clones used the Thermal Maw. Used Steel Dragon, to create a steel dragon! Steel Dragon used the taijutsu technique Pinpoint. Bruinetto also used the same technique, Pinpoint. Took two partial hits from Susano'o this round]

Who knew fighting an Uchiha was such a bitch. Being an Uchiha herself it was rare for her to fight another, especially one who knew Susano'o. Was their even a way to defeat this thing? Was it actually healing itself as well?

Her first mode of attack failed as Susano'o plunged it's blade wielding arm into the ground. The clone quickly erupted into an explosion of flames. But it did serve as a distraction. The real Kumiko emerged within the shadows from behind Satsumaru. Unfortunately, as she made her strike, the chakra being still protected it`s master. Yet her blade still pierced the chakra armor. Between herself and her brother the two managed to to deal some serious damage. Quickly, Kumiko used the Body Switch jutsu to escape from the enormous chakra arms striking about wildly. In a puff of smoke Kumiko would be revealed a good distance away from Susano`o and Satsumaru. It was in this time Kumiko realized that the chakra being was healing itself. What the hell!

It was time to fight fire with fire. Obviously there was only one way to deal with an Uchiha ability and that was to another against it. Her Mangekyou Sharingan would spiral into action as she focused her gaze upon the being Susano`o. Even if she couldn`t do continuous damage, maybe, she could prevent it from healing itself by maintaining enough damage to override the healing. That way her brother could focus on dealing additional damage. Where her gaze was focused, black flames erupted. Gradually Susano`o would be engulfed by the flames of Ameratsu.

As the two Uchiha twins moved into full throttle, Satsumaru simply watched a moment as the multitude of elemental attacks bore down on he and Susano'o. At the last minute, he began to weave and dodge what he could with the massive frame of the chakra entity enveloping him. Despite its being diminishing his agility, his natural speed and reflexes paired with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan still granted him an abnormal rate of movement. A few flame jutsu found glancing hits, while another hit head-on. The massive barrage of steel was near-impossible to evade, and the great chakra being suffered most of its intended fury.

And then, the black flames of Amaterasu spewed forth from the female, engulfing a path to Susano'o in hellish fire. The chakra beast withstood the attack, but faltered a moment. Just before it faded, it made a heavy swipe with the blades in its hands, seemingly absorbing or taking on the black flames as it made an attempt to strike both Kumiko and Bruinetto. Before waiting to see whether the attack hit or not, Susano'o faded, its life force spent. Satsumaru had released his hold on the entity under his power, letting it vanish away as opposed to making its last strike. Truth be told, the vast, focused onslaught from the twins had demolished what chakra force Susano'o had remaining. Even if he didn't call it away, it would've likely lasted only a mere second or two longer on its own.

He crossed his arms instead of moving them toward a further assault. He considered his little glimpse complete, after all. Was there a bevy of other tools at his disposal? Sure. But none of them were as to-the-point as what he had just shown them.

"I believe that little exercise should suffice for now," he called out to them with a smile, "After all, it wouldn't be fun to give away all of our secrets at once."

The muscles in his arms were still clenched, racing with chakra. In the event that another attack came his way, his Flame Shield jutsu was at the ready.

The longer they continued to face off against this strange creation of chakra it still continued to surprise him. There were many intricate layers of complexity to a technique like this. While having not encountered many kinjutsu during his career as a shinobi this was by far one of the most advanced he had the pleasure of encountering. In his mind there were multiple ways of trying to execute a similar jutsu and such data collected fighting against it surely won't go to waste. Bruinetto was getting too enamored in studying the technique when the creation would strike again.

The tremendous power of the Susano'o would tear apart the clones indirectly as it went for the attack. Cowering back and taking cover the Steel Dragon would take a defensive position and coil around Bruinetto acting as a barrier to intercept the attack. This action would only hinder the effectiveness of the attack slightly as it would pulverize the creation. What power that remained from the attack blasted him back causing him land on his back sliding over the ground for several feet. Propping himself back up from the ground from his position there wasn't anywhere else he could go. When his jutsu had been destroyed the area was covered in the projectile components which spawned it. The follow-up strike did not happen though as it seemed the technique was being withdrawn.

Rather spontaneously it appeared that this skirmish was over. It definitely ended on a lucky note for him when he ended up in such a vulnerable position. “Did he grow bored of pulling punches while using his kinjutsu? Or is there a risk when you use a technique like that? If I ever encounter this technique again I guess i'll just test the theory of a time limit.” While he never may get the chance to do something like this for quite a long time there was no way he wouldn't make a note of it for future reference. “I still certainly have many more tricks up my sleeve but I wasn't able to use them against you during this battle. It forced me to play my hand differently.” It certainly was a reminder to him about the lack of ninjutsu in his arsenal. His ninjutsu paled in comparison to Kagai's during their encounter at the Toraono Dojo. In events like this where his illusions become nullified he has very limited options in such bouts. Seems like he would have to deviate some time away from his extra-curricular pursuits and focus on more than just a master over his chakra control.

All too soon the battle was over, which irked the female Uchiha. She had barely gotten started! However Kumiko wasn't one to be disrespectful and attack an unarmed opponent. With a sigh she sheathed her naginata and let her stance rest, loosening her shoulders and calming down from such an alert state. " That or a bit of a cop-out. I hardly broke a sweat. " She snickered. Still the battle hadn't been as easy as she thought. Satsumaru actually made the twin duo think on their feet, which still proved quite hard. " I definitely wouldn't want to be fighting for my life against an Uchiha. That thing was a beast to fight against. " But the power it held. The sheer force of its chakra and abilities...she wanted that kind of power. Yet with power always came a price.

"And a beast to maintain..." Satsumaru admitted, wiping a little blood from his eyes.

Taking a deep breath, he walked closer to the twins, looking them over once more. No lasting damage had been done. They were all a little depleted in chakra after the little fencing match, but no one was harmed. It was a near-impossible feat to restrain Susasno'o once it was brought to form, but Satsumaru was able to control it enough to keep it from wrecking the surroundings.

"I hope this was at least a little enlightening for you both. It is a rare technique, one that you both have the potential to obtain, and such rare techniques require shaking up your natural instincts in battle," he spoke, "Susano'o is...difficult to manage. It is powerful, self-regenerating, and immune to genjutsu...however, it is not unbeatable, as you two have seen. It is a power meant to be a tool, not a sole source of strength."

Looking a little fatigued, he forced a smile.

"I apologize for cutting our meeting a little short, but I seem to have forgotten how much of a toll my work has taken. If you'll excuse me for the time being, I need to take a little time to rest and recover," the long-haired man requested, "I...look forward to our next meeting."

And with that, he almost unceremoniously began walking back into the house, obviously drained and finding it hard to move. Susano'o was still difficult to control, taking a hefty toll on the Uchiha's body. He hadn't used the technique more than once or twice before, and it showed...

It seems that Bruinetto was indeed right about this kind of technique having such a heavy cause. That kind of sacrifice always comes with high level jutsu as shinobi propel themselves towards levels that go far beyond the limits of the human condition. A power like that comes with great risks but witnessing it first hand it appears to be a "fair trade". Had this battle been been a solo effort by either of them against Sastumaru they would have stood no chance against it. It would be appropriate to say that without Kumiko's help Bruinetto would not have been able to put up much a fight against this technique. His only tactic would have had to been misdirection and evasive manuevers while attempting to analyze the technique in hopes for a vulnerability or a time limit. Judging by his currently strength Bruinetto did not feel he would have been able to last before a timer would have surfaced. Something like this wouldn't deter him though as it was a great learning experience. In fact he was very lucky to have encountered such a power in this manner. He never considered the possibility of an opponent being immune to genjutsu, in fact he didn't even think it was possible. It made him wonder if there were other techniques like this. He would need to make an effort to further diversify his repetoire of techniques and further develope his ninjutsu. He did not have enough outs to deal with such a dire situation of his genjutsu being taken away from him. Bruinetto was really spending too much time in theory and not enough time applying it.

"It was a pleasure to meet you Satsumaru-san. Don't push yourself too hard. I would like to come back sometimes and take a gander through your library. I could use some more reading and reference materials."
It seemed that this meeting was coming to a conclusion much quicker than he had anticipated it would. "This skirmish has gotten me warmed up. I think I am gonna head over to the training facilities over at the Grand Hall of Learning and work on my ninjutsu. I'm willing to bet if we were to clash using the same fire jutsu yours would overpower mine. Even though when we use to practice our techniques like that to kill the time I was just barely managing to come to a stale mate with you. On the same note you were probably already holding back not wanting to let on to how much better you were at it than I. You know it's usually the opposite way where the brother is going easy on his sister." He chuckle slightly at his reminiscing of a simpler time where he was more care free. "I'll be off then. I'm sure i'll see you at home later." Without waiting much longer he would scurry off of the grounds heading off to his destination.

Once again it appeared her brother was lost in his own thoughts. A sideways glance confirmed this as the two of them left the courtyard, following after Satsumaru. As the group gathered before the front door, signaling their departure, Kumiko bowed in respect as Bruinetto vocalized his own. It was only after they left that her twin spoke up, and to her surprise. Bruinetto never took training very seriously, only his work within his work shop. So hearing these things from him ... Kumiko was at a loss for words.

" Umm...ya. I'll see you later..." Normally Kumiko would have reveled in this opportunity to rub it in her brothers face that she was stronger...yet...this felt different. Maybe she was shocked at his admission of her strength. Maybe by the fact he considered training seriously. Either way Kumiko was left standing in the street as Bruinetto turned his back and walked towards the training grounds.
