Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Thump, th-thump. A sound slow and familiar, but his mind was in a state of confusion. It couldn’t even question things, it was simply looped around itself, unable to form coherence. Again, that similar sound struck his mind again, this time heavier. This strike brought a little bit of coherence, enough to notice the blackness that he currently inhabited. It wasn’t a darkness, as darkness would bring the assumption that there was light somewhere. No, it was simply nothing, nothing but that sound. The sound came yet again, bringing back his voice. “Wh.. where am I?” Rang his own voice in the blackness, echoing off of the non-existent walls. With each echo came back another question, to the point where it was an indiscernible mess of noise and confusion. This time, the sound came back, faster than before. As it hit, the voices subsided back into the blackness, and left him alone again. Almost as fast as the voices disappeared, another strike of the sound, and then another. This continued until it was a near solid stream of thumps. Suddenly, other senses began to kick in, a flash of light, vibrations to the touch, but his sense of hearing was replaced with a sharp and piercing ringing that remained constant. And then, the pain.

It’d felt as though he’d been struck by a brick fired at an explosive velocity, which is basically what had happened. First, one eye tried to open, but was greeted by an excruciating pain that instantly forced his body to recoil at the pain. He writhed for only for a few seconds before the ringing began to subside as familiar voices began to make it through, sounding like a song played through a blown speaker. His body shot up, fighting the impending rush of blood that would go to his head, and opened his other eye. It took his eye a moment to adjust, but when it did, it seemed the cruelest scene for him to observe.

--Seconds earlier—
The attack looked so very promising that it seemed as though there was no outcome but for her to win. Binan’s attack looked as though it would surely connect, she just didn’t realize at what cost. A crash, the sound of shattered bones and the force of the impact shattered her mind. There wasn’t even pain, just the sudden feeling of dread. She had done her best, and it wasn’t even a small fraction of what it needed to be. Timed seemed to slow to a stop as she was thrown back towards her dramatic entrance and her eyes locked on her son, now awake enough to view the tragic scene. Despite her current condition, her utter lack of energy, and general life, something sparked just enough willpower for one last action. Binan smiled, as warm as smile as she’d ever done. She didn’t have the capacity to think of why she was doing it, but somewhere deep down, her motherly instinct told her it was what she had to do. She even, just barely, managed to mouth out ‘I Love Y..' before her body went hurtling out the window, and all that was Binan, ceased to exist.

--Seconds earlier, again—
Orak beat his way through the door finally, and was barreling towards the scene like a bat out of hell. The man showed up just in time to see his wife’s lifeless body fly back through the window. An audible shatter happened within him, and rage turned to outright madness and fury. His speed seemingly doubled as the man had one thing on his mind, snap this woman into a million pieces, and then pulverize her into oblivion. His first attack, a mighty right hook, fueled by his momentum and shear rage.

--Back to Orinan—
His entire being was in a state of slow motion, to the point where it felt as though time was flowing at the same speed as his brain. Despite that, his mind still couldn’t comprehend the scene in front of him, not even enough to make out the words his mother lipped to him, and not fast enough from him to have even begun to leave the bed before his mother disappeared. Orin simply sat there, dumbfounded, dumbstruck, and shattered. Even if he didn’t understand it, his subconscious did, and it was in overdrive to keep him from the truth as long as possible. For now, he was back to the Thumps of his own heartbeat, and it felt as though he was back into the blackness.
