Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Current Ninpocho Chronicles Time:

There is no escape from the cycle of battle... My three daughters fueled with my ancestors cursed blood. What has happened in my time of solitude? I have been summoned to an important meeting, one that would reveal why my eldest daughter lies asleep in the village's hospital. A Ryujin, in the hospital? My people put shinobi in one or two places and rarely find them selves there unless visiting... Those places are both the hospital and or the grave. My mind only wondered what was this important news... Who and what caused my daughter's condition. My daughter Koyoko was the one who sent for me, giving me the location to Inu Endo's office. It's been a long time since I actually left my little rock. With my mining business I find no time to leave home unless it's for a vacation... something still foreign to me. I was escorted by my guards to the location given. I wore my armor and blood stained cloak pert usual for the situation. I was warned to be on guard as things were getting rough and talk of War was upon us. I believed it when I went to see my eldest daughter. Seeing her like that has my blood boiling... I am ready to reach the shores of my enemy and I am ready to leave a trail of death in my wake... Only the fight... fuels me now. It has indeed been awhile since I stepped out on to a battle field and so these old bones would need some stretching. Stepping into the office, my guards would respectfully wait outside the door.

"Now then, who is it that threatens my home?"

[legend=". . .These ties that bind. . ."]Souji was on his way to the spire, he needed to work this out and he needed the audiences of the Sennin, Endo and the village at large to know exactly what was going on with everything that had happened. With every bit of his anger and every bit of his being he would waltz to the spire with everything he had. Saying his goodbyes to his father and to his family in case something happened to him. He knew there was something he had to do. This was his destiny, and he could no longer sit back while the leadership of this village pulled on the puppet strings for his own valor. The False king would be exposed. And if Souji had to die for that to become a reality... He was ready and willing to make that jump for justice. Now shifting into the shadows he'd appear within the building and with his headset he would make notice of his appearance.

"~//~ Yukata Souji to the Spire. I am reporting from the offices, I have information regarding the Tsuchikage, a potential war, and anything else that needs to be looked over. I am requesting a sit down with the Leadership of Iwagakure immediately as Head of the Yukata Clan.~//~", shaking his head and crossing his arms he was alone in the space where he was standing just outside of the offices of the Tsuchikage and the other Sennin but he didnt know where any of them were. But he could feel them all. . . This was going to be very interesting. He had to clarify and rectify his actions and words, but he was angry so any human was liable of very off ball things at times. . .

Was humanity enough? Maybe... Maybe. "~//~Again I'm requesting the audiences of all the Sennin as well as the Tsuchikage. Immediately.~//~", and with that he would release his headset signal and await what was to come.

I decided to head over to the Kage's office early for the meeting... I haven't been getting much sleep as of recent due to the most recent of events. There hasn't been a day that I did not cry since. I know I know, I'm supposed to be a great warrior and the Ryujin show no weakness but... but I can't help it. Big sis is... never mind right, I have to be strong for not just me or my name but for big sis as well... I needed to believe that she would be alright. With less sleep came more free time I suppose. Big sis was always ragging me about my hair and so I finally did put a comb to it. It was one of the worst fights I have ever had. Took me and four maids to brush and tame this hair ha ha. To be honest, it looks pretty good. Big sis would be proud. I wore my families colors today, a blood red cloak and a new weapon I have been working on. One of many I suppose... I fought the urge to visit big sis first and headed straight to the meeting point. My father's guards were already here which means he was inside. Could he not sleep as well??? Heading that way, a familiar voice caused me to stop in my place. Was that... "Souji..." Wait, what? I did not know he would be here! Omg omg omg, what was he thinking? After bad mouthing the Lord Kage and being under suspicion of aiding the enemy... Was he here to prove his innocence? I was troubled by the biggest mix emotions ever at that moment. Looking at him made me feel weak and yet knowing that he was the one to aid in putting big sis in the hospital made me what to chop him up. Why? Everything in my being screams and I can't do anything about it.

"Souji... Souji! What are you doing here???"

Today was the day that the leaders of Stone and the Ryujin clan had decided to hold an important meeting as to the future of Iwa. Kumogakure had proven to be a threat and all though some opposed the meeting it was clear what stance us Ryujin had taken on the issue. We are the strongest village in all the land and today we needed to decide if we would live up to our reputation or to allow Kumogakure to bully us and have their way. Though I had not gone to visit my sister, I have since heard rumors that she hadn't woke and was still slumbering. I did not want to see my sister in such a state... I don't think that I could handle the sight. Mikana has gone to her visit many times and so she is stronger than me to shoulder such pain as I know she feels what I do. Lugging my massive blade in my hand, I made my way to Inu-sama office. A crowd of Ryujin guards waited patiently outside the door... my father was here already it would seem and Mikana was looking... different, did she do something to her hair??? I waved to her as I passed by not paying attention to what had her looking dumb founded. Walking into the office I found my father waiting...

"Hello father..."

Work, work and more work. That was everything Uka had time for now. The hospital was as busy as ever and some of her mednin were just causing more and more trouble without even realizing they were. Hissori wasn't even on her mind anymore, because every time she thought about that lion of his anger began boiling within her veins. She was slowly but surely becoming a worse person and that she hated. It wasn't that long ago that she had peace and quiet, but now that was long gone as if it was a dream. The sudden beep of her radio made her jump before she even realized what it was. 'I really need to get used to that....' Uka frowned as she pressed the channel button. War. She still couldn't believe it, but reality was slowly becoming more certain.

The Sennin stood up and walked out of her office, startling her half-asleep receptionist. "Cancel all my appointments for the day. I don't know when i'll be back"<i></i> she told her without even bothering to stop and see whether it was acknowledged. There just wasn't time to waste. Time was something they all didn't have much of. Uka adjusted her black gloves and suit of matching colour as she raced down the corridors, her lab coat flying behind her.

***

It was quite the gathering of people and it was just getting started. There could be no doubt that the strongest shinobi would gather and then there was her, somebody who didn't have any real strength outside her medical knowledge. That didn't matter however as they would all be tested once it all started. Both their strength and her knowledge would be needed soon enough.

The Sennin walked by Mikana, placing a hand on her shoulder for a second before entering the office. No words were needed for everything had been said already. She had to be strong with the situation at hand. "Good Morning"<i></i> Uka said calmly as she rested her back against the wall next to the door. Who else would be joining the group? Only time would tell.

Kamaru listened to the broadcasted message and finished up the form his was on. Wasn’t it the voice of the Lightning’s Assistant? Figuring the man to be a bit older than originally thought at the party of sorts held for the students he dismissed the thought and finished up things before slipping out of his office. The nice thing about office environments is that when people don’t know where you are and what you’re doing you can free up your schedule as you please. Walking up for the meeting he saw a young girl he had meet before but she probably had forgotten she seemed bit distracted but he really didn’t think it was his place to inquire into her current state.

Looking around he saw few people he knew by name besides two people. Kamaru looked around quietly before stroking his chin. A hand slide under his jacket to his pants pocket as he stood somewhat relaxed waits for the others to show up. Although looking aloof Kamaru wondered what the meeting was about in truth, had something happened at the gates? If it was truly about the security of the country and village that would explain why Lightning wasn’t here yet, probably gathering last minute details. Kamaru did wonder about getting Endo into a meeting would mean. The man wasn’t really one for meetings to say the least, granted if it involved the future of the Earth Country that was probably reason enough to get him to show up.

Should have brought a cup of coffee… Kamaru mused to himself waiting for the meeting attendees to all convene.

Well, it was a packed house. Inu wasn't one for really big audiences unless they were watching him lead the battle. So much for that vacation to the Moon Country. Walking in as if he'd actually not noticed the rather large party assembling in his office. Noticing that his glasses were a bit dirty, Endo actually walked in while cleaning them with his shirt. A typical black training gi underneath his signature green cloak, Endo greeted all with a rather dry joke. "I'm going to assume that this is the furthest thing from a meeting about impeaching me and is simply a surprise belated Kage appointment party." he smiled weakly but with the seriousness of recent events he didn't linger long as he noticed the head of the Ryuujin clan in the room as well. Stopping in front of the man, he gave a dignified bow and said a statement mostly for the ears of the Ryuujin clansman and women only. "We'll get to the bottom of this sir, I promise." As he sat down behind his desk he motioned to the two chairs before him and the assortment of stacks of books and crates in his office. Apparently he'd chosen a poor time to redecorate. "So, while we wait for the last seat to be filled . . . how are exams going Uka and Kamaru? I should hope that this next graduating class is looking promising." he smiled as he tried to make small talk that didn't totally alienate everybody. As nervous as he was, Endo was determined to keep his cool no matter what.

Fashionably late? Not really. There was no promptness when you're spontaneously asked to present yourself for an urgent matter of the country. You came when you could. Uncertainty had settled in her stomach. Not because of her own nerves, but because of how delicate the country seemed to be at the moment. The pink haired woman carried a file in her hand, and her face was set in a neutral expression. This wasn't the first time she'd heard about the war, but she had given her stance on it from the get go. Shadow's call over the radio frequency called her attention to the office. She'd allotted herself the time she needed to get her thoughts together. She was a primary figure in regards to the security of the country. This was something she had to be prepared for. Her footsteps echoed through the corridors of the quiet building. Funny how sounds echo louder than people aren't around. Approaching the door, she set herself. She turned the doorknob, entering the room. Seemed rather crowded already.

Her eyes scanned the room, The Centurion, Kamaru, what she assumed was the new Medical Sennin, Shadow, and three others. She made no gesture, gave no greeting. She quietly made her way to her seat, and sat down, placing the file carefully on the table. Her hands came to rest on the table, and for those unaware of who she was she gave a brief introduction. "Guardian of Lightning, present. I believe we're all here then." She looked once more to all members. She decided to make note of what was going to take place here, as it could have a serious effect on Iwa. She wanted represent the people she fought for, not just herself. Hopefully whatever come from this could be for the better. The pinkette remained silent...for now.

|Immediately once my beloved daughter Koyoko had entered the room, I completely lost composer and bear hugged her. "Oh my sweet little Koyoko! Why does it take a tragedy for you to see your old man?" Snuggling my face against hers only stopped once others started to enter the room. I wasn't trying to be embarrassing but my fatherly urges sometimes gotten the better of me. The first of many to enter I believe was the main branch sennin... I did my best to disguise my disapproval written across my face. He was a foreigner, not of Iawa blood and so I had my bias doubts that he could be trusted let alone lead the mighty people of this village. Much respect would need to be earned and I had little to give. Next came Inu-sama. Finally, the man of the hour has arrived. With him hear we could finally begin this soiree. I nodded to him keeping an unintentional straight face. I have been in my cave for too long and have since forgotten what manners were like. Inu started with some small talk directed toward his sennin... I disapprove. I had not come all the way down here to gossip about student exams. Ticked off by actions that had yet to take place, I interjected.

"Gravy now... Lets get on with it. If this third seat knows not the clarity of punctuality then perhaps..."

My eyes would ever so calmly shift toward the door that crept open. The third seat had arrived to my assumption, the Anbu sennin. She was holding a curious folder that she placed on the desk before seating. She sat as if she was not late and as if this was a vacation. She was calm, collective and over all cool... My eyes remained on her, darting, piercing. For some reason her mannerisms, facial poise, and demeanor were so familiar and yet aggravating.

"Hmph... Well then let's commence..."

[legend=". . .These ties that bind. . ."]Everyone was here, people who had a right to be, people who didnt know anything of the situation at hand, and people who he felt just liked feeling important even though they would not ever be considered such, Souji entered the room shortly after His boss did, walking past the 'guards' of Shouta and the Ryujin, however not before giving Mikana a gentle wave. His demeanor was hardened for today, this was a meeting of great importance, and he would definitely have to manage himself a bit better in this. He'd have to use his mind for more than dissecting people. But to mentally place the images of the future at hand. Maybe this would be the stepping stone to the future. These people in this room. These leaders of the world that the knew, minus the newly appointed Daimyo... but he wouldnt get on that. She wasnt called into action nor duty.

"Indeed. . . let's commence. . .", clearing his throat not taking any seat but leaning against the wall behind Lightning-sama, "There has been alot of information misused and mistaken as of late, but as for my personal reasons for calling the Sennin as well as the Kage. . . who seems to not have shown up.", tilting his head and looking around he'd shake his head, "I'll have to say this. . . in terms of the Ryujin clan. I have a personal feeling that you all have been manipulated into this air of thinking what you've been doing is for the just and unjust alike. . . or for better phrasing, 'For the sake of the village'. . . through our Leader, who was corrupted by his power from day one. . .", shaking his head he'd move from the wall towards the table as he continued.

"I want to also state that it is my personal apology as to what happened to Kyoko at the Titan's Keep. I joined the fighting because there was a 'man' attacking Guardians at the gates as they rushed out. Being a member of this village, regardless of who it is. That is NOT acceptable by any means. And I personally regardless of who it is, will not tolerate it. However, in the wake of it. . . I found out that it was indeed your sister, that we'd taken down she gave me the developments of Inu Endo to her as well as the mission he wished to send her on. . . Whether it was to Suna or to Kumo, Does. Not. Matter. And shouldnt matter because it was a reckless act of war for a man's greed and want to chisel his name into the Lore of this country.", nodding he felt it would be best to stop talking before he got too ahead of himself but now he would stand with his hands planted on their fingertips at the table as he looked around awaiting someone to speak up.

OOC: Wrote Endo out because he left the site.

Kamaru was about to remark on Academy life and Endo’s comment or his career as Kage when others began to talk denoting the meeting was starting. Looking back when it was mentioned Endo hadn’t shown up Kamaru didn’t see the man anymore. Did he hate meetings that much? The levity of the Kage’s words from earlier and not being present for the meeting now came to light. Kamaru had been leaning forward and slowly eased back into his chair to think of the scenario.

Kamaru mind went on a different tangent of if this situation was poorly managed for a mission standpoint or purposely done the way it was to compound the situation. In most cases anyone would know attacking a guard at the gate when asked why one was leaving with a request for paperwork would result in a confrontation. The reasoning behind why the Kage would send someone on a mission of this nature couldn’t be answered since he had left the meeting.

Leaning forward again clasping his hands Kamaru made a few statements for clarification as his brow furrowed.

”Just so I’m totally clear on this situation, without all parties present I’ll just assume a few things so please correct me if I’m assuming too much. An individual was leaving the village who was deemed a man, when stopped by Guardians for the person’s reason for leaving and identification an altercation occurred and escalated with reinforcements coming in. The person or young lady not a man I should say which was found out after the fact was subdued and in the process injured while being detained.

It turned out the individual was someone from the village, a shinobi actually on a mission for the Kage that would involve traveling and completing objectives that would involve other countries and villages to the point a war would be a possibility or cause justifications for a war.

While we may be able to get the answer to what the mission was, why the unorthodox method to leave the village was taken would only be answered by the individual who took it who isn’t here. Without the Kage actually here if the mission was actually designed or planned to be successful or if there was any real long term reasoning behind it. Maybe I just don’t understand the nuances behind the ‘mission’ but if it was sanctioned through proper channels there wouldn’t have been the problems that occurred one would think at the gates. Unless the mission was to cause a scene at the gates that would lead to a war. I’d hate to think someone in the position of Kage would be irresponsible enough to put a shinobi’s life or attempt to sacrifice someone from the village simply to get some tale of themselves out into the world. My question is do we have all the information that we can and how are we moving forward with it.”
he concluded.

(OoC: Since he did say something to me moved inline with him not being present as of Souji's post)

[From Kamaru's post it makes sense that I post now and explain the situation on the medical side. I hope that is alright with you. The post will be up in the next hour or so, but right now I am ridiculously annoyed due to personal IRL issues therefore i must apologise for the length and quality beforehand]

Now that everyone most of the people, who were called were here it all began. There was something strange though - the Kage wasn't there. It was strange for someone who was as important to this discussion to be here even stranger so that the discussion was beginning without him. No matter there had to be a reason for it and personally Uka didn't care as long as she knew to prepare for the possible war or not. What sort of political things would come up were absolutely none of her concern. The only thing that mattered in her mind was the safety of the residents of the village and this meant preparation beforehand. As good as it was to be ready rushing into things was also never a good idea, so it was just better to wait and see where things went for now.

"I might be able to clarify a little on the medical standing point of the involved kunoichi."<i></i> Uka cut in as soon as Kamaru finished. She didn't really bother moving nor seeing what anyone else would try and say because this part was quite important to the overall situation. Some of the other Ryujin had visited the hospital, but they didn't really know teh full situation of it all. The sennin had decided it better to leave the absolutely full details out of it until a time such as this arrived or until her patient had awoken. At this point the latter seemed out of the question, but one could only hope. "The individual who supposedly was carrying out a ''mission'' is unable to be interrogated by normal means and nor by anything I myself have tried. As it currently stands the patient is a comatose in a state of coma, which is one of the deepest I myself have had the displeasure of seeing. There is literally zero response to any sort of stimuli whatsoever and for now no signs of awakening whatsoever. Therefore the only source of information about the so called ''mission'' would be the Kage himself, but taking into account he is not present we can't really do that."<i></i> The sennin stopped for a second taking a deep breath before continuing. "If my memory serves me right I believe you were one of the people when I arrived at the scene."<i></i> Uka shifted her gaze over to Souji, her arms crossed on her chest. "I also happen to recall you had some sort of recording of what transpired, which you played back for Koyoko, who is also present today. Maybe that would help answer some of the questions, considering the recording was of the individual tasked with the mission"<i></i> Her memory was a bit fuzzy about what transpired as she was busy dealing with the injured kunoichi.

I waved slightly back to Souji as he passed to enter the room. Things were confusing and in my head... chaotic. I had no clue as to where this meeting was headed and what it was we would do. War... it was talked about more and more as time passed and even more so by my clans men. I took a deep breath before passing up my father's guards and entering the room after Souji. Most were already assembled and others shortly after except the most important person to be here. Where was Inu? With the level of urgency required you'd think one couldn't sleep well through the night or perhaps I was thinking solely about me. Still, it was important to be here and the fact that he wasn't worried me. I stood by the door sort of out of place and unsure of where I stood. I felt much like a victim, like everyone seem to want to carry on with the meeting without Inu present and like I guess that much could not be helped. Like, Souji started to talk about his position on all of this and of course his dislike for Inu. My father wanted to hear the story, the main branch sennin was super deductive and he too wanted to get to the bottom of this. He concluded that we need more info from Souji. I was glad Souji was here and now we could truly figure things out. Still where was Inu? Did something happen to him?

"Souji... Please show us that snap shot..."

[legend=". . .These ties that bind. ."]There was alot of time invested into this, and with everyone and everything around him now at his attention Souji would smirk and then look to them all before nodding, ". . .Alright. . .", this time they all would see the entire thing. They would see the battle as Souji saw it, then from this point Souji would play it. Kyoko would begin speaking, "Before you ask... yes! I was sent here *smiles at Souji* ...to die... Listen... awhile ago, a Cloudie by the name Ayumi disappeared and she was an ambassador of Kumogakure. They blamed us for her disappearance and so I volunteered my life as retribution. My life to not only spare my village from war but also to spare my sister Koyoko... Now, this was a secret operation in which only a few know about... and so I must keep it that way understand? Prepare yourselves!", and Souji would shake his head, "And from there Koyoko, Mikana, and Endo entered the scene. . . this is just the tip of the iceberg. Because Koyoko, Kyoko, and Mikana as well as myself were all given a chance to join the Kage Guard. To which I denied it because of how it was presented. I will not supersede Lightning's order in my branch... Meaning, they only had to follow direct orders of their branch again. Meaning, Kamaru didnt have a say in this. Be it from Sunagakure, or Kumogakure. . . Why would Kyoko say that she was going to be sent to Cloud, with how she said that."

Souji's voice hardened as he spoke, "Endo has lied to the Ryujin sisters. . . Becoming a puppeteer to them which is not fair to them or their family. To be Manipulated and he really got their support.", nodding he would continue, "But be not controlled no longer, I feel Endo's essence has faded. . .", more so he felt Endo's spiritual energy going to the next life. Though this would reveal Souji as someone that could talk to the dead, but there were Ghost walkers among this village so he could play it off like that for now. ". . .If my senses dont fail me. . . We are now without a Kage. . .And I wonder who it was that killed him. . .", he'd frown, wanting that chance for himself. So he'd have to figure it out and end them himself more than likely. He'd had the most reason to kill the Kage more than many people in the village.

And he'd definitely have words with this person. . .

Many of the others proceeded to give their statements of the situation. She hadn't been exposed to much of is, just saw the snapshot that was give to her by Souji, much to her distaste of the circumstance, as well as others. It seems Endo has been doing much behind her back. Waiting until Souji finished showing that very snapshot to others within the room, she began speaking. "Shortly after Endo's promotion to Kage, he came to me. He spoke of war, even then. I gave him a firm no, told him that if he chose this course he did not have my support, nor my aid, and I would not send my warriors to fight for a pointless cause. He has been driven to stir up trouble in the world, cause the death of many innocents. I couldn't allow that, but it seems he's taken matters into his own hands." She calmly crossed her hands over the folder, her eyes shifting to the Ryujin's. "Or through the use of others he deems more exploitable." Opening the folder, Megami removed the notes that she had scrawled down during Kamaru's meeting with her some months prior. She nodded towards him, as she spoke of policies. "Kamaru and I met some time ago, to discuss the security of the country. Several foreigners have entered, and it was becoming a speculated concern of how many of them posed a threat. Now with these emerging details, I wonder how far the Kage would go to get his war." She wondered the same for many others, if they wanted the cause as well. Fighters were fighters, the more expendable, the more useful. That was the mindset of those that didn't value the extension of life. As a warrior, she understands both the concept of death by fighting for a just cause, and fighting that gets yourself killed all the faster. The latter of the two she did not agree with.

As she finished, Souji spoke up, making mention that he sensed Endo's life energy fading. This made her curious. He was the son of two shaman's, perhaps he too received a blessing from the Old Gods. But could he sense the soul's of the dead, fleeting? She could use herself as a conduit, but nothing more than a means to an end. A transition to the other side. Still, she didn't have the time to focus on the specifics. "If that be the case, or not, I believe we all know why we're here. Our Kage has caused all of us inner turmoil. Our village has been made vulnerable, our civilians placed at risk, another nation potentially angered, and our warriors made into sheer pawns. This cannot continue. If he's not dead, he should surely be impeached." Megami ended her discussing, her eyes harsh, and calculating. She did not like for the lives of those that fought for just causes, for those lives that couldn't protect themselves, to mean nothing because a man wanted his name etched among the legends.
